The mastermind of the largest Islamic Terrorist Attack of United States soil has received his just reward.

Osama bin Laden, the monster behind the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, was killed in a firefight with American Special Forces last night, then quickly buried at sea.

Instead of hiding in the mountains of Pakistan, as had so long been thought, the Islamic Terrorist Mastermind was located in a mansion on the outskirts of Islamabad, 100 yards from a community built specifically for retired Pakistani military and 35 miles from the capital of Pakistan.

If anyone thinks that the Pakistani Government did not know that he was living there, I have a bridge over the Mississippi River to sell ya.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m. Central last night, President Barack Hussein Obama, after making the nation wait for 90 minutes, and, effectively obscuring the finale of Donald Trump’s television series, Celebrity Apprentice, made the following announcement:

Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.

Justice has been done.

This precise operation took about as long as getting a haircut.

U.S. Strike Force Helicopters set counter-terrorism troops down in the compound which the CIA had identified as the monster’s lair. Our Best and Brightest took care of business in less than 40 minutes. They shot bin Laden in the head after he and his bodyguards opened fired on them.

Also killed in the operation were three adult males among them, one of bin Laden’s sons, unnamed by U.S. officials. One of bin Laden’s sons, Hamza, happens to be is a senior member of al-Qaida. One woman was killed during the firefight, when one of those brave Islamic Terrorists, used her as a shield. Two other women were injured.

An American official who disclosed the burial at sea said it would have been difficult to find a country willing to accept the remains. According to Obama,bin Laden’s body had been handled in accordance with Islamic custom, which requires speedy burial.

Why couldn’t Obama have admitted that we buried him at sea, so that the Islamafascists would not try to steal the body from us and make him a martyr?

Who was this Muslim Monster?  Per biography.com:

Bin Laden was one of more than 50 children of one of Saudi Arabia’s wealthiest families. He attended King Abdul Aziz University, where he received a degree in civil engineering. Shortly after the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979, bin Laden, like thousands of other Muslims from throughout the world, joined the Afghan resistance, viewing it as his Muslim duty to repel the occupation. After the Soviet withdrawal in 1989, bin Laden returned home as a hero, but he was quickly disappointed with what he perceived as the corruption of the Saudi government and of his own family. His objection to the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia during the Persian Gulf War led to a growing rift with his country’s leaders. By 1993 he had purportedly formed a network known as al-Qaeda (Arabic: “the Base”), which consisted largely of militant Muslims bin Laden had met in Afghanistan. The group funded and organized several attacks worldwide, including detonating truck bombs against American targets in Saudi Arabia (1996), killing tourists in Egypt (1997), and simultaneously bombing the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (1998), which altogether killed nearly 300 people. In 1994 the Saudi government confiscated his passport after accusing him of subversion, and he fled to The Sudan, where he organized camps that trained militants in terrorist methods, and from where he was eventually expelled in 1996. He later returned to Afghanistan, where he received protection from its ruling Taliban militia.

In 1996–98 bin Laden, a self-styled scholar, issued a series of fatws (Arabic: “religious opinions”) declaring a holy war against the United States, which he accused, among other things, of looting the natural resources of the Muslim world and aiding and abetting the enemies of Islam. Bin Laden’s apparent goal was to draw the United States into a large-scale war in the Muslim world that would overthrow moderate Muslim governments and reestablish the Caliphate (i.e., a single Islamic state). To this end, al-Qaeda, aided by bin Laden’s considerable wealth, trained militants and funded terrorist attacks. It had thousands of followers worldwide, in places as diverse as Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Bosnia, Chechnya, and the Philippines. Following the September 11 attacks, the United States led a coalition in late 2001 that overthrew the Taliban and sent bin Laden into hiding. Nearly three years passed, during which time U.S. forces hunted bin Laden along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Bin Laden emerged in a videotaped message in October 2004, less than a week before that year’s U.S. presidential election, in which he claimed responsibility for the September 11 attacks.

Former President George W. Bush issued a gracious, congratulatory statement, per abcnews.com:

…Bush called the operation a “momentous achievement” that “marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.”

“I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude,” the former president said in a statement. “The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.”

The annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner was last night.

The association began in 1914 as go-between serving the press and the president. Every president since Calvin Coolidge has attended the dinner. Some of the proceeds from the dinner pay for journalism scholarships for college students.

Instead of making jokes about himself, such as  previous humble presidents, like George W. Bush have, Obama used the banquet in the same manner in which he used the State of the Union Address 2 years ago, as a vehicle in which to attack a defenseless enemy.

That night, in 2010, Obama’s defenseless enemy was the Supreme Court. Last night, it was billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump.

Obama’s moment in the spotlight last night started after the wrestler Hulk Hogan’s patriotic anthem, “Real American,” played. Images of Americana from Mount Rushmore to Uncle Sam were shown on the screen, alongside his birth certificate. And then he offered to show his live birth video, which turned out to be a clip from the Disney film, “The Lion King.”

Obama, reading from poorly written remarks, joked that the billionaire businessman would bring change to the White House, transforming it from a stately mansion into a tacky casino with a whirlpool in the garden.

This, coming from the guy who had the Oval Office remade to resemble a 1980s Holiday Inn.

As Trump sat there, boiling with rage, Obama used the annual dinner as a one-sided Presidential Debate, attacking the defenselessreality TV star.  The President of the United States attacked the private businessman, ridiculing him for  firing Gary Busey on a recent episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” and for focusing so much time on conspiracy theories about Obama’s birthplace.

Gloating in his release of a PDF of his long-form Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth, Obama dismissed Trump, saying the billionaire could now focus on the serious issues, from whether the moon landing actually happened to “where are Biggie and Tupac?”

Obama mocked Trump’s own words. saying:

No one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than ‘the Donald’.

Making fun of Trump’s decision to fire actor Busey instead of rock singer Meat Loaf from his TV show earlier this month, Obama said:

These are the types of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir.

In a grand finale to his Trump put-down, Obama presented his vision of how Trump could bring change to the White House. “Trump” was displayed in glittery letters and girls could be seen with cocktails on a Jacuzzi-augmented front lawn.

Scooter making fun of “The Donald’s arrogance?  Pot meet kettle.

The guest list included Rev. Al Sharpton, Paula Abdul, and performer Cee Lo Green, actors Kate Hudson, Sean Penn; Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen; and White House Chief of Staff William Daley.

Saturday Night Live comedian (and I use the term loosely) Seth Myers continued where Obama left off, as Trump glared.

Among Myers’ remarks:

Donald Trump often talks about running as a Republican, which is surprising. I just assumed he was running as a joke.

Aimed at Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., whose own remarks about Planned Parenthood and abortion sparked a Twitter campaign fueled by Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert, Myers said:

Jon Kyl told me that 90 percent of what [the WHCA does] is abortions.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s face looked ashen at that one.

And rightfully so.  Joking about abortion? Puhleeze.

Meyers also referred to recent comments Trump made on the radio in which he said he got along well with “the blacks.”

Donald Trump recently said he has a great relationship with the blacks. Unless the blacks are a white family, he was mistaken.

These were jokes?  My, how far we have fallen from Bob Hope.

Is this the most classless White House in Modern History? 

There were a lot of jokes sent around as e-mails after the election of Bill “Bubba” Clinton, as to how his ascension to the White House was akin to Jed Clampett and family moving to Beverly Hills.

After two years of having to watch and listen to this smug jerk occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, I ‘d rather have Granny Clampett making lye soap over an open fire on the South Lawn.

The year is 1903, The Russian Social Democratic Party is meeting in London. All the intellectuals in their party have been arguing since the end of the 1800’s as to the direction the party should take. One year earlier, in 1902, a man named Lenin, living in exile, wrote a paper entitled, “What Is To Be Done”.

The work was smuggled into Russia and spelled out his views regarding what the Social Democrats should be doing as a party. Lenin attacked party members who “were content to wait while history took its predetermined course.” Rather than wait, Lenin wanted to kick-start the issue he believed in to get things done rather than wait on intellectuals sitting around refuting each other’s ideas. The meeting resulted in a Party split creating the Mentsheviks and the Bolsheviks. The two factions reunited under Lenin in April 1905. Lenin went on to organize the November 1917 Russian Revolution on the Promise of “peace. bread, and land”. Isn’t that like “sharing the wealth”?

Yesterday, I reported on some White House Censorship of the Press:

…the Obama Administration  exiled the San Francisco Chronicle’s Carla Marinuccifrom being a part of the press pool, [ever] again.

Her horrendous crime? 

She pulled out a small video camera last week and shot some protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel.

Now, Phil Bronstein of the Chronicle reports the following:

In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.

Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:

Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.

The Chronicle’s report is accurate.

If the White House has indeed decided not to ban our reporter, we would like an on-the-record notice that she will remain the San Francisco print pool reporter.

I was on some of those calls and can confirm Ward’s statement.

Interesting.  Evidently, that’s what the Chronicle gets for not following along with the diktat of our modern Politburo.

One thing that the Russian Politburo was good at was taking care of their propaganda arm.  Our new Politburo is no different.

…as Washington prepares to celebrate, well, itself at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where media organizations try to out-do each other by planting celebrities at their $2,500 tables, taxpayer-subsidized and donor-supported NPR is no exception. Joining NPR staff will be Ambassador Susan Rice as well as three All Songs Considered favorites, Annie Clark, who records under the nom de plume St. Vincent, Talking Heads founder David Byrne, and R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe.

Which raises the question: In a time when, NPR’s budget is under scrutiny, is hosting rock stars at a swank dinner the sign NPR officials want to send? And, is promoting new recordings of musical artists–be they starving or sated–something the government should even subsidize in the first place?

Those of the Main Stream Media who realize that their role is the spreading of the New Politburo’s Propaganda are rewarded.  Others, such as Fox News, and this young lady from the Chronicle, are punished.

President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), 3 years into his reign…err…presidency, released a PDF of a long-form Certificate of Live Birth yesterday.

In finally releasing a PDF of the document, Obama was desperately trying to derail speculation by average Americans on his undocumented past, recently fueled by Entrepreneur and professional spotlight-hogger Donald Trump. While making his grand announcement about doing something he should have done before he took office, the snobbish son of a Kenyan, whom I affectionately call Scooter, proclaimed that questions about the authenticity of the document were a distraction from bigger issues by “sideshows and carnival barkers.”

Sideshow? That’s appropriate, coming from a guy whose presidency has resembled a House of Horrors.

The Leader of the Regime then proclaimed:

We do not have time for this kind of silliness.

We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do. We’ve got big problems to solve, and I’m confident we can solve them, but we’re going to have to focus on them, not on this.

Then, he hopped aboard Air Force One, with us paying for the ride, and headed out to appear with his homegirl, Oprah, so that she and her studio audience could worship and adore him. Then last night, he spoke at a Democratic Fundraiser in New York City, to an adoring crowd.

He joked about the birth certificate controversy at both appearances.

I’m sooo glad that the “silly stuff” is over with. Aren’t you?

Meanwhile, Scooter has the following serious stuff to worry about:

• Gasoline prices that are over $4 a gallon in some parts of the United States
• Sell his plan to cut tax breaks for oil and gas companies
• Convince Congress to raise the debt ceiling before the U.S. hits its limit, likely in mid-May
• Shake-up his national security advisers
• Juggle wars and ongoing protests in the Middle East
• Negotiate a 2012 budget that both creates jobs and cuts spending
• 1/6th of America being on Food Stamps
• Continuing massive unemployment
• Run for re-election

The culturally elite Progressives, and squishy Moderates on both sides of the aisle, remain flabbergasted at how the Birth Certificate Controversy could have gotten this far.

It’s very simple, Poindexters.  Obama does not act like any natural-born American that the majority of Americans have ever been around.

Lets look at some things about Obama that have freaked Americans out about him:

• His parents were radicals.  His grandparents were communists.
• As a kid in Hawaii, he lived next door and was “buds” with the Chicago Communist Pedophile, Frank Marshall Davis.
• He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles for two years before transferring to Columbia in 1981.  No one remembers him.
• He was appointed Editor of the Harvard Law Review.  Nobody knows how he afforded Harvard.  The name Khalid al-Monsour is mentioned in the mystery.
• Barack Hussein Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School.  We don’t know anything about his actual courses or grades.   The records have been sealed at all three universities.
• The Los Angeles Times has reported that Obama studied, while at Columbia, under the late Edward Said, an Arafat devotee.  A photo that made the Internet rounds before the election shows Obama talking to the professor at a 1998 Arab American community dinner in Chicago, where the Obamas and Saids were seated together.
•  Bomber Bill Ayers was the head of the Chicago group that, with$49.2 million in hand,   formed the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.  The launch party in 1995 was attended by the governor of Illinois and the mayor of Chicago, as well as anybody was influential among the Chicago Political Elite.   Guess who the  first chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge was?  You guessed.   Obama held the post until 1999.
• In 2004, Illinois State Senator Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) decided to run for The United States Senate.  It is now very well-known that George Soros, evil genius, major Democratic Party donor and anti-Israel crusader, has been a generous contributor to Barack Obama. However, not too many people know that a loophole in McCain-Feingold allowed Soros and his family members to be extremely generous in their support of Obama’s 2004 Senatorial campaign.
• Besides garnering unlimited campaign funds, as the campaigns entered their closing rounds, the news ”happened to be” leaked to media outlets that both Hull and Ryan had “personal scandals” in their past. The timely release of this news wiped out both of their campaigns, leading to an easy victory for Obama in the primary and then in the general election.
• Barack Hussein Obama (Peace be upon him.) won the Senatorial election and went on to “serve” as a United States Senator from Illinois from 2005 – 2008.
• Obama sponsored 121 bills as a senator, of which 115 never made it out of committee and 3 were successfully enacted.   He co-sponsored 506 bills during the same time period.
• Barack Obama missed 314 (24%) of 1,300 roll call votes.  He did not have the option of voting “Present” as he did 130 times in the Illinois State Senate.

Additionally, in his first 100 days as president, Obama:

• Passed the Porkulous Bill
• Announced the closing of Guantanamo Gay (Heh.  Didn’t happen.)
• Dropped the Term ‘Enemy Combatant’ in favor of man-caused disaster
• Proposed first President Budget – $3.55 trillion
• Floated a National Health Insurance Plan
• Blasted US Food Safety and Took Action and appointed a brand new Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commissioner
• Began the End of the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Facility
• Took Over Coordination of Urban Policy issuing an executive order creating the White House Office of Urban Affairs.
• Reversed the “Mexico City” Anti-abortion Policy
• On his second day in office, Obama overturned the “Mexico City Policy” that prohibited the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) from contributing money to international family planning agencies that offered abortions or abortion counseling.
• Asked for More Money for Afghanistan and Iraq Wars
• Eased Some Restrictions on Cuba

And, later on, he burdened Americans with his most famous creation, Obamacare.

And, that, is why Americans have serious doubts about his authenticity.

Is he from Hawaii? Heck, most of the time, he acts like he’s from Mars.

Progressives, on both sides of the aisle, are beginning to get worried about the outcome of the National Elections of 2012. Their hedge of protection, provided by their sycophants in the MSM, is beginning to be torn asunder.

In their desperation, they are recycling every dirty trick they know…and no one is falling for them.

Last night, Republican Congressman from Florida, and great American, Lt. Col. Allen West, held a Townhall Event in Fort Lauderdale. Immediately after he took the stage, several Progressive plants, stationed throughout the crowd began to jeer and interrupt the Congressman. West was forced to pause several times and then continue once the crowd calmed down. Eventually, police Police removed one of the hecklers from the event. When the paid operatives continued to disrupt the eventh, Lt. Col. West looked them right in the eyes and told them matter-of-factly:

You’re not going to intimidate me.

Guess who the Progressive plant was that police hauled out of there?  Per yahoo.com and dailycaller.com:

Local police arrested a woman who appears to be former liberal radio network Air America host Nicole Sandler while she was disrupting Rep. Allen West’s Tuesday town hall event in Fort Lauderdale and harassing the Congressman’s wife. According to video obtained by Florida blogger Javier Manjarres, known better online as The Shark Tank, police charged Sandler, who revealed her name on camera, with trespassing after they removed her from the event and she “continued her tirade and used an expletive to address a police officer.”

With Air America now defunct, Sandler hosts a self-described “progressive talk radio” show at RadioOrNot.com.

Evidently, Progressives are RAAACIIIST.

I say that, because that happens to be the latest dirty trick resurrected by Progressives in defense of President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm).  According to Progressives:

If you complain about his lousy performance as POTUS, you’re a Racist.

If you ask about his undocumented past, you’re a Racist.

If you bring up the fact that he’s gone golfing 70 times, so far, as POTUS, you’re a Racist.

In a Progressive-leaning article posted yesterday on usatoday.com, the following surprising fact came out:

Still, in the USA TODAY (/Gallup) poll, only 38% of Americans say Obama definitely was born in the USA, and 18% say he probably was. Fifteen percent say he probably was born in another country, and 9% say he definitely was born elsewhere.

Views already are polarized about President Obama and some major Republican candidates for 2012.

Rushing to Scooter’s defense, CNN proclaims that there’s nothing to the “Birther” controversy:

A new CNN investigation reveals what most analysts have been saying since the “birther” controversy erupted during the 2008 presidential campaign: Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Period.

Now.  Doesn’t that make you feel better to have a Progressive-run Cable News Channel, who are completely in the tank for Obama, tell you that ‘s nothing to see here?

Who led the investigation?  Lt. Frank Drebin?

This is all becoming very entertaining.  Pat Buchanan, token Conservative on MSNBC, is skeptical about Obama’s past:

I’ll tell you what. He went to Occidental College then suddenly he ends up at one of the best schools in the country, Columbia. He vaults from there to Harvard Law School. Suddenly he’s on the Harvard Law Review. Suddenly he’s the editor of Harvard Law Review. We’ve never seen any grades of the guy. These are legitimate questions.

Then Buchanan blasted Obama sycophant Chris Matthews by telling him:

You’re supposed to be a journalist.

And MSNBC is supposed to be a Cable News Channel, instead of a White House Propaganda Machine.

Obama’s new Press Stooge, err, Secretary, Jay Carney,  says that the questions about the President’s missing long-form Birth Certificate and undocumented background are a distraction:

It’s an unfortunate distraction from the issues that I think most Americans care about. Anybody who is watching this exchange, the West Wing of the White House would be appalled, or most Americans would be appalled.

PBS Host Tavis Smiley, who just happens to be black,joined the Progressive chorus, saying to MSNBC program host and Obama sycophant, Lawrence O’Donnell:

I said over a year ago that this was going to be, this presidential race, Lawrence, was going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist in the history of this Republic.

After all, Obama is supposed to be our first Post-racial President, isn’t he?

The media stood and applauded yesterday when President Obama and his family went to church for Easter. Yesterday’s visit to Shiloh Baptist Church in D.C. shows again that Obama really is a man of faith, the reports seem to suggest.

But while the media rushed to report on the first family’s attendance of the predominately black congregation (and the family’s outfits), what it failed to mention are the views held by the church’s pastor. And while those views have not been delivered in the same fiery manner as Obama’s former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, they sound eerily familiar.

What views are those? How about him saying in 2010 that the country is still racist, that racists get programs on Fox News, and that Rush Limbaugh is the new KKK.

James Parker at WRNO-FM in New Orleans did some digging yesterday about Shiloh Baptist’s pastor, Dr. Wallace Charles Smith. Not only did he find that Smith loves to preach on race, but he noticed Smith even infused race into yesterday’s Easter sermon:

One has to dig into the blog notes from various reporters to piece together the content from the sermon. Aside from the First Couple being honored guests, Pastor Wallace Charles Smith also announces that his 4 week old grandson is attending church for the first time, and a pool reporter noted an interesting perspective on the infant:

“[Pastor Smith] talked about how his baby grandson’s gurgling is actually “talking” because he is saying ‘I am here … they tried to write me off as 3/5 a person in the Constitution, but I am here right now … and is saying I am not going to let anybody from stopping me from being what God wants me to be.’”

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, perennial winner of the CPAC Straw Poll,thanks to a stuffed ballot box, is scheduled to announce  his third Presidential Campaign today.

According to those around him, the 12-term Congressman will announce the formation of an exploratory presidential committee and a campaign leadership team.

His press conference takes in Iowa, a significant move due to the fact that it will be the first state to hold caucuses next year.

The 75-year-old Paul Paul, was the Libertarian Party candidate in 198, where he garnered less than one half a percent of the vote. He ran again in 2008, when he became known as the only Republican candidate calling for the end to the war in Iraq and for his “money bomb” fundraising strategy, which brought in millions of dollars from online donors in single-day pushes.

The Liberatarian received 10 percent of the vote in the Iowa caucuses and 8 percent in New Hampshire’s primary. He received 14 percent of the vote in the Nevada caucuses, finishing second, and eventually finished fourth in the Republican nominating process with 5.6 percent of the total vote.

Paul’s campaign book, The Revolution: A Manifesto reached No. 1 on The New York Times best-seller list in 2008.

Dr. Paul has some good ideas, and is actually pretty sharp about the money issues, such as the Fed.  But, on other issues, he appears removed for the thoughts and wishes of average Americans.

Here is an  excerpt from a speech given at a fundraiser in May 2007 in Austin, TX:

Today, the conventional wisdom is that we have to have a President to “run things” [crowd boos]. What I’d like to be is a president that doesn’t even have a goal of running your life, running the economy, or running the world. [load applause] I want to use all my strength and my conviction and my effort to restrain anybody who uses force illegally, that people not be allowed to try to run other people’s lives. And that will take a lot of doing, because a lot of people have become dependent on the government.

Another issue that I deal with; and now this is the real-world politics, because we might in a group like this agree, you know, “We don’t need the welfare, we don’t need this, leave us alone, and it would all be better,” and quite frankly I think it would be but we live in the real world, where we have taught generations after generations to be totally dependent on the government. So realistically, you can’t just shut off every government health program and whatever for the elderly.

But, there’s a very practical answer for this. Overseas, now, to run the American Empire, if you add up the DOD budget, if you add up the State Department budget, if you add up what it would cost to bring the military, to take care of the veterans, and on and on, do you know that it is nearing trillion dollars a year to operate overseas, while ignoring our borders? [crowd boos]

So why not we do this? If it’s at one trillion dollars, lets say that we could have a true national defense for, say, 700 billion dollars, I mean, save 700, spend 300 on defense, save 700, put a lot of that to the deficit, bring it home, deal with our borders, and make sure that the people that are very dependent, take care of them until we can wean them off. [applause]

I believe that almost every single problem that we’re facing today has come about because we haven’t been a stickler for the rule of law. We haven’t followed the Constitution, and that’s where we ought to begin. And the fact that the problems have been created by the lack of respect for the Constitution, the answers can be found there. They can be found there on foreign policy, on economic policy, property rights, personal liberties, all these things, monetary policy. Can you imagine how great a nation we’d have, if we didn’t have the Federal Reserve system printing all this money? [applause]

And, it goes without saying that when we have the proper sized government, and governments function in the proper manner, we certainly wouldn’t need the IRS or the 16th Amendment. [applause] Government has a role to play, but it should be minimal. The sole purpose of political activity, as far as I’m concerned, should be protection of individual liberty. [applause]

I think what’s happened in this country is we’ve lost respect for the rule of law, that we’ve lost respect and confidence in how liberty works. We’re always frightened that if the government doesn’t provide this safety net, there’s gonna be more poverty, no housing, and all the things that happened over the last several decades. But this is not necessary. It is so unnecessary. Freedom works! We’ve lost that confidence where we know and understand that it will work. But there is one admonition that John Adams gave, and he said, “For freedom really to work, you have to have a moral society.”

Except for the Paul’s isolationism streck voiced in that clip, there was some pretty good stuff in there, right?

Well,then there’s this speech, given on the floor of the house on January 9, 2009:

Statement on H Res 34, “Recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, Reaffirming the United States strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process”

Madame Speaker, I strongly oppose H. Res. 34, which was rushed to the floor with almost no prior notice and without consideration by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The resolution clearly takes one side in a conflict that has nothing to do with the United States or US interests. I am concerned that the weapons currently being used by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza are made in America and paid for by American taxpayers. What will adopting this resolution do to the perception of the United States in the Muslim and Arab world? What kind of blowback might we see from this? What moral responsibility do we have for the violence in Israel and Gaza after having provided so much military support to one side?

As an opponent of all violence, I am appalled by the practice of lobbing homemade rockets into Israel from Gaza. I am only grateful that, because of the primitive nature of these weapons, there have been so few casualties among innocent Israelis. But I am also appalled by the longstanding Israeli blockade of Gaza — a cruel act of war — and the tremendous loss of life that has resulted from the latest Israeli attack that started last month.

There are now an estimated 700 dead Palestinians, most of whom are civilians. Many innocent children are among the dead. While the shooting of rockets into Israel is inexcusable, the violent actions of some people in Gaza does not justify killing Palestinians on this scale. Such collective punishment is immoral. At the very least, the US Congress should not be loudly proclaiming its support for the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza.

Madame Speaker, this resolution will do nothing to reduce the fighting and bloodshed in the Middle East. The resolution in fact will lead the US to become further involved in this conflict, promising “vigorous support and unwavering commitment to the welfare, security, and survival of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.” Is it really in the interest of the United States to guarantee the survival of any foreign country?

Only if you believe Genesis 12: 1-3, Dr. Paul, who, as someone who attends church, I know you’ve heard.

Julian Assange and his collection of fellow weasels over at Wikileaks have done it again. This time, they’ve released over 700 classified military documents containing never-before-seen detailed accounts of the men who are locked up at the Guantánamo Bay prison in Cuba.

These new leaked documents study the history of the dentainees and also explore the uneasy relationships between the Islamic Terrorists and their jailers.

The “evidence” provided by these new documents is sure to provide a false sense of  hope and leverage to the Far Left in their crusade to encourage their ideological brother, the President of the United States, to close down Gitmo.

The documents contain everything from a detailed account to what the terrorists to an account of their personal illnesses, ranging from hepatitus to depression. They even contain years of the detained enemies of America’s comments about one another.

One thing that most of the 172 remaining prisoners have in common is the fact that they been rated as a “high risk” of posing a threat to the United States and its allies if released without adequate rehabilitation and supervision.

However, unfortunately for President Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him) and his Far Left base, the records also document how an even larger number of the prisoners who have left Gitmo, about a third of the 600 already transferred to other countries, were also labeled “high risk”…and then, they were freed or passed to the custody of other governments.

The other problem for the Wackadoodle Left is the fact that there are no gratuitous stories of torture, that can be used by them (and Obama) as leverage for closing Gitmo. Several of the imprisoned terrorists, though, are cited as lying about being subjected to abuse.

I’m shocked, I tell you. Shocked.

The military analysts’ files provide new details about the most infamous of their prisoners, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the planner of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Sometime around March 2002, he ordered a former Baltimore resident to don a suicide bomb vest and carry out a “martyrdom” attack against Pervez Musharraf, then Pakistan’s president, according to the documents. But when the man, Majid Khan, got to the Pakistani mosque that he had been told Mr. Musharraf would visit, the assignment turned out to be just a test of his “willingness to die for the cause.”

Obama and his administration all condemned the publication of the classified documents, which were released by Julian Assange and his pack of weasels last year.

According to the White House, an administration task force set up in January 2009 reviewed the prisoner assessments released in these documents, and in some cases came to different conclusions. Because of this, the White House says that the documents published by The Times may not represent the government’s current view of detainees at Guantánamo.

There were three Top Secret Assessment Documents released in this bunch.  The first, Assessment of Afghanistan Travels and Islamic Duties as they Pertain to Interrogation, begins by stating:

Islamic religious leaders used their influence to encourage men to travel to Afghanistan to train and fight. To prevent interrogators and analysts from obtaining incriminating information from him, the detainee uses a variety of counter-interrogation techniques, some supported by his religious indoctrination. Detainees that claim a religious motivation for traveling to Afghanistan are often providing an accurate, but incomplete account of their recruitment. Mujahideen that traveled to Afghanistan following the attacks of 11 September 2001 did so with the knowledge that Usama Bin Laden and Al-Qaida were the likely perpetrators of the attack.

The other two documents are Threat Matrixes.  The Executive Summary of these two documents states:

Below are indicators used in JTF-GTMO detainee assessments to determine a detainee”s capabilities and intentions to pose a terrorist threat if the detainee were given the opportunity. The indicators are not all-inclusive and are written primarily with the JTF-GTMO detainee in mind, though they can be tailored to other theaters. These indicators are used in assessments in concert with each other, and need to be read in the context in which they are placed within an assessment. While some individual indicators may be sufficient alone to provide an accurate assessment of the detainee”s threat, others may require additional indicators or multiple occurrences of the same indicator for reliability and confidence. In all, the indicators are designed to point to the threat a detainee would pose if he were to be released from custody, and the intelligence that a detainee potentially possesses, not as evidence to prove a detainee’s guilt or innocence.

President Obama signed executive orders this morning reversing Bush administration detainee interrogation practices and requiring the prison at Guantanamo Bay to be closed one year from now.

As expected, Obama ordered a review process for Guantanamo detainees, with the goal of releasing, transferring to other nations, or prosecuting the 245 detainees currently held at the facility. Obama largely left the question of how to prosecute detainees unanswered, though recommended that federal courts or regular military courts would be preferable. Military tribunals with revised authority could also be used.

The CIA will also close its network of secret prisons under Obama’s order. Obama prohibited the agency from operating detention facilities in the future.

The president effectively banned torture, requiring the military and CIA to adhere to the Army Field Manual, abide by the Geneva Convention, and allow the Red Cross access to detainees. He also sweepingly nullified all memos and legal opinions on interrogation from the Bush Justice Department issued after Sept. 11, 2001, some of which caused outcry among opponents of torture when they were uncovered.

Didn’t happen, did it?  Neither did the  proposed New York City Federal Court  Dog ‘n Pony Show Trial of Khalid Shaikh Muhammed.

Remember, Obama knew about these documents last year.
