Obama’s Indoctrination…err…Preschool Initiative

children2Tuesday night, during his fifth annual State of the Union Address, President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) announced a new Education Initiative.

These initiatives in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, housing — all these things will help entrepreneurs and small business owners expand and create new jobs. But none of it will matter unless we also equip our citizens with the skills and training to fill those jobs. (Applause.)

And that has to start at the earliest possible age. Study after study shows that the sooner a child begins learning, the better he or she does down the road. But today, fewer than 3 in 10 four year-olds are enrolled in a high-quality preschool program. Most middle-class parents can’t afford a few hundred bucks a week for a private preschool. And for poor kids who need help the most, this lack of access to preschool education can shadow them for the rest of their lives. So tonight, I propose working with states to make high-quality preschool available to every single child in America. (Applause.) That’s something we should be able to do.

Every dollar we invest in high-quality early childhood education can save more than seven dollars later on — by boosting graduation rates, reducing teen pregnancy, even reducing violent crime. In states that make it a priority to educate our youngest children, like Georgia or Oklahoma, studies show students grow up more likely to read and do math at grade level, graduate high school, hold a job, form more stable families of their own. We know this works. So let’s do what works and make sure none of our children start the race of life already behind. Let’s give our kids that chance. (Applause.)

Evidently, Government-ran Preschools are very important to President Obama. So much so, that the perpetual campaigner has hit the campaign trail to push the idea.

Yesterday, the local CBS affiliate in Atlanta filed the following story:

Secret Service agents began doing security sweeps at the Decatur Recreation Center and at the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center before daybreak.

Decatur City Schools are on winter break this week. However, College Heights remained open because classes for infants to three-year-olds were still in session. A school system spokeswoman said 100 percent of the teachers and 75 percent of the students in the school’s pre-kindergarten program agreed to come to the school during their time off for the president’s visit.

After touring College Heights and interacting with the children, Obama said in his speech at the Decatur Recreation Center that he wants to make preschool available to all 4-year-olds, a vast expansion of existing early childhood education programs.

He said that education has to start at the earliest possible age.

Obama claimed that every dollar spent on early education saves $7 for the government later on.

“This works. We know it works. If you are looking for a good bang for your educational buck, this is it right here,” said Obama.

The College Heights facility is unique because it provides early learning to children from birth to age four. It’s funded through a partnership between City Schools of Decatur, and Partners for Community Action, Inc. (Head Start Program).

Spotted in the crowd were several local state reps and senators, Decatur Mayor Jim Baskett, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson and former U.S. Sen. Max Cleland.

As Obama pitches his plan, at the Capitol in Washington D.C., Education Secretary Arne Duncan is telling senators that one out of every 13 students already in Head Start classrooms could be left out if lawmakers don’t sidestep a March 1 budget meltdown.

The push to increase and preserve options for pre-kindergarten children comes as Obama’s team is warning Congress — and lawmakers’ constituents — what is expected to happen if leaders fail to avert $85 billion in automatic budget cuts that will impact national security and domestic programs alike.

Other countries have tried National Preschool Programs. For instance, the old Soviet Union. FreeDictionary.com describes the system of  Soviet Preschool Institutions, circa 1979, as

…institutions for the social upbringing of infants (from one to three years of age) and children of preschool age (three to seven years of age). In the USSR the system of preschool institutions includes créches, créche-kindergartens, and kindergartens. V. I. Lenin ascribed enormous importance to the development of pre-school institutions, which he called the “shoots of communism.” In the article “A Great Beginning” he wrote: “Public catering establishments, nurseries, kindergartens—here we have examples of these shoots, here we have the simple, everyday means, involving nothing pompous, grandiloquent, or ceremonial, which can really emancipate women, really lessen and abolish their inequality with men as regards their role in social production and public life”(Poln. sobr. soch., 5th ed., vol. 39, p. 24).

In the USSR, social preschool upbringing, an organic part of the public education system, enjoys the attention and concern of the Communist Party and the Soviet government. The upbringing of children in preschool institutions is based on a single scientific program worked out by Soviet preschool pedagogy. As of Jan. 1, 1971, there were 83,000 kindergartens and créche-kindergartens with a combined enrollment of 8.1 million children. There are special preschool institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Health of the USSR for children with physical and mental handicaps. Specialists who work in preschool institutions are trained at pedagogical colleges and institutes. The Doshkol’noe vospitanie (Preschool Upbringing) deals with work experiences obtained in preschool institutions and methods and theories of social preschool upbringing.

After personally witnessing what this Administration’s “educational philosophy, already in our public schools, I can predict, without hesitation, that nationally-run Preschools will not only be Centers of Education, they will also be Indoctrination Centers, where, as Obama himself has called them, “the most vulnerable among us”, will be exposed to all of the government-funded social engineering programs that our children and grandchildren, who are presently attending public schools, under the auspices of the Obama Administration’s Department of Education, are being indoctrinated in.

That’s right, little Johnny. The United States of America is just another country. There is no such thing as American Exceptionalism. See how much fun it is when you “share the wealth”?

The scary thing is, preschoolers’ “spirit of discernment”, while present, is not fully formed , yet. At 4 years old, children are very malleable, and easily led by suggestion (like Liberals).

If your goal was to “radically change” the greatest country on the face of God’s green Earth, who would you start with?

America 2013: A Ball of Confusion (With Apologies to the Temptations)

straightjacketI promise you, gentle readers..I truly believe that I’m losing what little sanity I have left.

Please allow me to try to rationalize some political absurdities….m’kay?

Marco Rubio gets parched while giving the GOP’s State of the Union Rebuttal…and now his chance to be President of the United States is over with?

A cold-blooded murderer, Chris Dorner, takes his own life, is subsequently rendered extra crispy by a fire in the mountain cabin he was hiding out in…after a shoot-out with law enforcement, in which he killed one deputy and wounded another…and idiot, Mom’s basement-dwelling, Liberals are worshiping him as if he will be the subject of the next t-shirt they will be wearing to an ill-fated job interview.

And at the same time, Dorner’s Mama was spotted eating potato chips and drinking wine, while watching her “baby” shooting it out with the San Bernadino Sheriff’s Department.

The Russian Foreign Minister will not return our new Secretary of State John Kerry’s telephone calls…and, I don’t blame him.

The Obama Administration, including the Attorney General, whose former law firm represents Muslim Terrorists, Eric Holder, says that it will be targeting Americans with unmanned drones.

Constitution? We don’t need no stinkin’ Constitution!

This same Manchurian President and his feckless Administration flew American Flags at half-mast in memory of crack addict Whitney Houston, but not American Hero Chris Kyle.

What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a’goin’ on here?

We’ll explore America’s cultural/societal decline later this week.

However, chaos, by definition, stems from a lack of leadership.

About our country’s anti-American President and lack of backlash against his disconnect with average Americans, Conservative Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh said,

t may have been something you put together long ago. I must confess that I only just realized this today. And it’s about trying to understand how could so many people say they disagree with Obama’s policies and yet reelect him. I know that you and I have expressed our puzzlement and our curiosity over the great disconnect there is in this country. The people that vote for Obama don’t like where we’re going, the direction of the country, the policies of Obama, yet he wins elections.

So we’ve all been taking our stabs at trying to explain why. Well, he won reelection because he did such a good job of demonizing Romney that he made everybody afraid to vote for Romney and they settled and just voted for Obama, vote for the guy who’s already there, at least he’s a known quantity. But the New York Times story today finally opens my eyes to what we’re dealing with, at least for me. And, as I say, you may have understood this long ago. “Polls Show Dissatisfaction With Country’s Direction, but Support for Obama’s Agenda.”

Now, you and I, in what I would call the high-information voter sector, understand what a giant disconnect that is. How in the world can people be dissatisfied with the country’s direction while at the same time support the very agenda that’s causing it? This just doesn’t compute to you and me. We recognize that it is Obama’s agenda which is leading to the problems this country has and thus the dissatisfaction that people have regarding the country’s direction. But the majority of people who vote, there is no connection of those two things whatsoever. They support Obama’s agenda, and they are terribly unhappy about the direction of the country, and, therefore, they do not associate Obama’s agenda or his policies with the direction of the country.

They do not associate Obama’s policies with what has happened to the country. They don’t associate all the spending and all the debt with the lack of jobs. They don’t make that connection, they don’t see any connection, they don’t see it at all. Now, to me this is an eye-opener, and it’s going to force me to assess exactly how to go forward here in dealing with these people. The idea is to persuade them. I mean, they are the low-information voters.

Now, if they’re unhappy with the economy, if they’re unhappy with jobs, if they’re unhappy with the debt, if they’re unhappy with the housing market and yet support Obama’s agenda, then they obviously do not connect Obama’s policies as being in any way related to or responsible for the country’s direction that they don’t like, which means a number of things. It means that they see Obama as working really hard to try to fix everything, rather than Obama as the reason for things worsening. They just do not see that. And to you and me it’s a slam dunk. It’s one plus one is two. These are people, outcome-based education, two plus two is five and we’ll give ’em an A for trying. They don’t see it.

So Obama is not at all connected to the tragic destruction of this country. He is seen as somebody who wants to fix it. It’s the same thing as people seeing Colonel Sanders as a guy running a hospital to save chickens. Wouldn’t compute. It wouldn’t make any sense. But that’s how he’s viewed. Now, maybe one reason is that he’s successfully blamed Bush all these years and the exit polling data last November, vast majority of people still do blame Bush for the economy, but it’s more than that. It’s that Obama never, ever, allows himself to be seen as governing. He is constantly campaigning.

Obama is constantly seen as in competition with what’s happening in Washington. It is though there are straw men. There are men behind curtains. There are invisible, evil people doing all this to the country. He’s trying to expose them and he’s working very hard. Romney is one of them. Bush was one of them. There are a bunch of other people, we don’t know who they are. But Obama is trying to find them. He’s trying to expose them and trying to fix all this. Obama is not seen as the guy behind the curtains pulling the levers. Obama is not seen as the guy who does not like the way the country was founded and is trying to take this country in a different direction. He’s not seen at all in the way he really is. It can’t all be because of the media.

…You may have figured this out long ago, but it just hit me — and if you figured it out long ago and you’ve been trying to get through here and tell me, I wish you’d have gotten through. For those of you who figured it out and I didn’t, I’m just now getting to it. I apologize for being a late arrival to the party, but now — now — it all makes sense. For five years Obama has never once allowed himself to be seen as governing.

He is constantly campaigning against mysterious forces who have ill intentions trying to harm you and this great country. There are these figures behind the screen, behind the curtain. Romney was one. Bush was one. There are others. Obama’s trying to expose them. Throughout history dictators, for example, have never really been blamed for the bad things that happened in their countries. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, none of them were blamed by the rank-and-file citizenry.

They were, instead, the leaders of the revolution!

Until Americans realize who is causing the political problems, foreign and domestic, which we are facing as a country, and, the civic responsibility that is their heritage as citizens of these United States, our problems will continue to mount, and, this “Shining City on a Hill” will continue a purposeful, man-caused de-evolution into a democratic socialist nation.

Average Americans, like you and me, can stop this.

We can do it, America.

We made a difference in 2010. We can do it again.

It is up to us.

Until He Comes,

State of the Union Address 2013: Views From a Bitter Clinger

obamamyworkLast night, I took a big swig of Maalox, and proceeded to force myself to watch President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) deliver what was possibly the worst, most divisive, most arrogant State of the Union Address of all time.

From the very start to the much anticipated end, the Prevaricator-in-chief wove a web of vagarities, exaggerations, and downright lies, that caused Goebbels, Lenin, and Marx to smile. They are extra crispy where they are…but, they still smiled.

Among the things he touched on, was, of course, increasing the Government’s “revenue”.

For those of you who are low-information voters, that means he wants to take more of YOUR take-home pay.

He went on to engage in more Class Warfare, speaking as if he wished to levy more taxes on America’s wealthiest citizens.

You remember them. They are the ones who hire you and me, so that we may provide for our families.

In fact, he even started channeling Franklin Delano Roosevelt, suggesting that we put Americans to work repairing our bridges and roads, essentially reviving the WPA.

If you were listening to ol’ Scooter last night, you grasped that he truly believes that a Government that intrudes into our lives from cradle-to-grave, is the answer for every single problem that our country faces.

The greatest President of my generation, Ronald Wilson Reagan, said,

Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the democrats believe every day is April 15.

and

Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.

By burdening Americans with more taxes, Obama and the Democrats are intentionally stifling American Entrepreneurs and small businessmen, who are the backbone of our economy.

Obama wants our blessed country to be just another socialist nation.

Heck, last night, he even said that we should be like Rangoon!

Giving the GOP’s resonse last night, Senator Marco Rubio said,

This opportunity – to make it to the middle class or beyond no matter where you start out in life – it isn’t bestowed on us from Washington. It comes from a vibrant free economy where people can risk their own money to open a business. And when they succeed, they hire more people, who in turn invest or spend the money they make, helping others start a business and create jobs. Presidents in both parties – from John F. Kennedy to Ronald Reagan – have known that our free enterprise economy is the source of our middle class prosperity. But President Obama? He believes it’s the cause of our problems.

Obama touched on education last night.

He stated that he wants all 4 year olds to be in government-run pre-schools, where they will be fed full of socialist propaganda, and taught to shun good old-fashioned American morals and values.

He didn’t actually say that last part, but, that is exactly what will happen. Our children would be programmed. The State would be their Nanny.

He also stated that he wants to re-design America’s high schools.

Tell you what, Scooter…let’s start teaching American kids to read and write, first. Shall we?

Then, he moved to the two most important (to the Liberals) issues of the night: Amnesty (err…Path to Citizenship) and Gun Confiscation (errr…Gun Control).

Regarding making illegal immigrants American citizens, Obama said,

Real reform means strong border security, and we can build on the progress my administration’s already made, putting more boots on the southern border than at any time in our history and reducing illegal crossings to their lowest levels in 40 years. Real reform means establishing a responsible pathway to earned citizenship, a path that includes passing a background check, paying taxes and a meaningful penalty, learning English, and going to the back of the line behind the folks trying to come here legally.

Sounds fairly decent, right?

However, you and I both know that’s not what is going to happen. The Liberals will eventually attempt to push through some sort of blanket amnesty, before the Mid-term Elections, in order to manufacture a plethora of new Democratic Voters.

Then, came the most garish and inappropriate moment of the entire night. I thought I was viewing the late Paul Wellstone’s Funeral, all over again.

In their unfettered zeal to take away guns from law-abiding Americans, Obama, and Liberals from both sides of the aisles, invoked the memory of a precious young 15 year old girl from Obama’s hometown of Chicago, who was viciously killed by a bunch of gang-banging thugs. Here’s the transcript. I hope you haven’t eaten recently.

Of course, what I’ve said tonight matters little if we don’t come together to protect our most precious resource, our children. It has been two months since Newtown. I know this is not the first time this country has debated how to reduce gun violence, but this time is different. Overwhelming majorities of Americans — Americans who believe in the Second Amendment — have come together around commonsense reform, like background checks that will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on a gun. Senators…

(APPLAUSE)

Senators — senators of both parties are working together on tough new laws to prevent anyone from buying guns for resale to criminals. Police chiefs are asking our help to get weapons of war and massive ammunition magazines off our streets, because these police chiefs, they’re tired of seeing their guys and gals being outgunned. Each of these proposals deserves a vote in Congress.

(APPLAUSE)

Now…

(APPLAUSE)

If you want to vote no, that’s your choice. But these proposals deserve a vote, because in the two months since Newtown, more than a thousand birthdays, graduations, anniversaries have been stolen from our lives by a bullet from a gun. More than a thousand. One of those we lost was a young girl named Hadiya Pendleton. She was 15 years old. She loved Fig Newtons and lip gloss. She was a majorette.

She was so good to her friends, they all thought they were her best friend. Just three weeks ago, she was here, in Washington, with her classmates, performing for her country at my inauguration. And a week later, she was shot and killed in a Chicago park after school, just a mile away from my house. Hadiya’s parents, Nate and Cleo, are in this chamber tonight, along with more than two dozen Americans whose lives have been torn apart by gun violence. They deserve a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

They deserve a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

They deserve a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

Gabby Giffords deserves a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

The families of Newtown deserve a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

The families of Aurora deserve a vote.

(APPLAUSE)

The families of Oak Creek, and Tucson, and Blacksburg, and the countless other communities ripped open by gun violence, they deserve a simple vote.

(APPLAUSE)

They deserve — they deserve a simple vote. Our actions will not prevent every senseless act of violence in this country. In fact, no laws, no initiatives, no administrative acts will perfectly solve all of the challenges I’ve outlined tonight. But we were never sent here to be perfect.

(Dons Lt. Columbo’s raincoat, raises eyebrow and finger, and says,) Mr. President, may I ask a question of you, sir? How will taking away the guns of law-abidng citizens, stop low-life thugs and criminals from murdering another wonderful young person like Hadiya, or the little children in Newtown?

Answer: IT WON’T.

But, then again, that’s never the goal of a Socialist Government when they confiscate citizens’ guns. Is it?

Joe Wilson was right.

Until He comes,

State of the Union Address 2013: An Empty Suit Making Empty Promises

taxesTonight, in front of a standing room only audience on Capitol Hill, President Barack Hussein Obama will deliver his fifth annual State of the Union Address.

This  year, he is supposed to “be more aggressive”.

TRANSLATION:

The Republicans are the ones keeping you down. They will not co-operate with my grand plan for turning the United States of America into just another Democratic Socialist Country. If they would just “shut up and know their roles”, I could finish my Socialist Utopia.

You can bet your bottom dollar that ol’ Scooter will be all over the place tonight, touching on a myriad of subjects, with all the phony sincerity he can muster.

He will probably put another tingle up Chris Matthew’s leg.

So, what happens if the Republicans actually grow a collective spine, and stand up to the Marxist plans of the Manchurian President?

No problem. He’s making a list…and checking it twice.

According to the George Soros-funded Liberal Website, ThinkProgress.org, the Prevaricator-in-Chief is contemplating bypassing our Constitutional System of Checks and Balances, and issuing the following Executive Orders:

1. Cybersecurity: President Obama appears likely to “establish a voluntary program where companies operating critical infrastructure would elect to meet cybersecurity best practices and standards crafted, in part, by the government.” These voluntary minimum security standards are supposed to ward against an escalating pattern of cyber intrusions on “critical infrastructure.” It’s hard to say exactly what the standards in this order would be with any precision.

2. Housing: Housing is perhaps both the most significant and most ignored problem facing the United States today — 11 million Americans currently are “underwater,” meaning they owe more in mortgage than their house is worth. The executive order under consideration would extend super-low refinancing rates to people who have private mortgages, a helpful move that’s nonetheless insufficient without Congressional action.

3. Climate Change: The Post reports that the President is thinking of expanding two first term climate change executive actions; emission standards for power plants imposed under the Clean Air Act and the Better Buildings Initiative. The former standards currently only applies to new power plants; after these are finalized, the President is “considering moving beyond that effort toward regulating carbon emissions from existing power plants.” The latter is an initiative to improve buildings’ energy efficiency. These two moves, however, only scratch the surface of potential executive actions on climate change.

4. Equality for federal LGBT workers: Congress has been recalcitrant about passing the Employee Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which extends full non-discrimination protection to all Americans on the ground of sexual orientation and gender identity. Until recently, President Obama had used the legislative effort as a shield against issuing an executive order that would extend said protections to federal contractors. It now seems likely that an order protecting contractors is forthcoming.

5. Fair payment for home care workers: Roughly two million Americans work in the in-home medical care sector but, due to a legal exemption, can be paid under the minimum wage and generally don’t receive standard overtime wages. These workers are almost all women, and large percentages are poor and/or racial minorities. While the White House initially announced plans to end the minimum wage and overtime exemptions in 2011, it has yet to finalize them — but may well soon.

It was announced today that Americans are paying the highest price they ever have, for gas. What is Obama going to do about that? Nothing.

Millions of our countrymen are out of work. Other Americans are underemployed, forced to work 2 and 3 jobs, and still living paycheck-to-paycheck. What is Obama going to do about that? Nothing.

American Children, who cannot read and write, are still being socially promoted, while teachers’ unions have the temerity to go on strike for fatter paychecks. What’s Obama going to do to help America’s children? Nothing

(Although, he and the First Wookie did start an anti-bullying campaign and make their school lunches smaller.) Biiiig help.

America’s Foreign Policy is a massive failure under The Manchurian President. He sent Crazy Uncle Joe to negotiate with the Muslim Barbarians in Iran, and they refused to talk to him. 4 brave Americans, including our Ambassador were slaughtered on the 11 Anniversary of the worst-ever Terrorist Attack on American Soil. What has Obama done to seek justice for these men? Nothing. He went to the United Nations and apologized for a Youtube video, which no one has seen, claiming it as the reason that Muslims rioted in the Middle East on 9/11/12.

Obama fully intends to continue with his quest for National Gun Confiscation. What will taking away law-abiding citzens’ guns do to protect the children in his Hometown of Chicago, from the cowardly thugs who are murdering them? Nothing.

Our Federal Government, under Obama,  has grown to gargantuan proportions. In order to fund Obamacare, which will grow government even more, Obama is going to tax the He@@ out of Americans. What will that accomplish? Nothing.

In summary, tonight’s State of the Union Address  is going to reflect the accomplishments and substance of President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm).

In other words…an empty suit making empty promises…a big bag of nothing.

Until He Comes,

Worshiping a Murderer

DornerLast night, there was additional security added to the annual Grammy  Awards, out of fear of accused murderer and ex-policeman John Dorner.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced an LA-record seven-digit bounty is being offered for any information that leads to Dorner’s arrest and conviction.

“We will not tolerate this reign of terror that has robbed us of the peace of mind that residents of Southern California deserve,” Villaraigosa said. “We will not tolerate this murderer remaining at large.”

Dorner hasn’t been spotted since Thursday morning, when he allegedly killed an officer in suburban Riverside, his third slaying in less than a week.

The LAPD — although already spread thin throughout Southern California looking for Dorner — has called in additional officers from their days off to take a visible presence at tonight’s Grammys at the Staples Center, according to CBS News.

In a rambling manifesto he left behind before embarking on his rampage, Dorner wrote,“I assure you that Incident Command Posts will be target-rich environments,” referring to the police term for mobile headquarters that cops set up at special events such as the Grammys.

While those Liberals were in fear of something awful happening, other Liberals are beginning to turn the murderous Dorner into a folk hero, like Dillinger, Capone, or, most recently, the West Memphis 3.

The CBS affiliate, Ch. 13, in Sacramento, has the story:

The ex-cop accused of three revenge killings left behind a long manifesto outlining all of his grievances and observations.

That manifesto has given investigators some clues, but they still don’t know where is Christopher Dorner.

Law enforcement spent four hours searching his mom’s Orange County home. They took out 10 grocery bags filled with evidence.

Dorner lost his job with the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008. His manifesto vows revenge for that; and, surprisingly, thousands of people actually support him.

It’s hard to believe but there are those out there who sympathize with the man targeting police officers.

One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. “We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent.”

The description on “We Are All Chris Dorner” chillingly says, “Yes, this is war.”

Nearly 3,000 people like the page “I Support Christopher Jordan Dorner.”

CBS13 posted a simple question: Why? Why support a man wanted for at least three killings and the author of a murderous manifesto promising to target cops?

One sympathizer wrote us, “Because something needs to be done about the long known corruption of not only the LAPD, but several agencies.”

Another comment read, “He is god for now and I support him and this page.”

“Most people would be shocked and appalled that people would support this,” said Sid Martinez, assistant professor of sociology at Sacramento State.

However, Martinez is not surprised by the outpouring of support. He points to a long history of distrust and tension between parts of Southern California and the police, as the motivation behind the movement.

Some are celebrating this former cop turned alleged cop-killer as a vigilante administering a sick kind of justice.

“So, to see someone kill police officers, they may see this as a kind of way of standing against oppressive force,” said Martinez.

A number of fake Twitter accounts have popped up and are only adding to the surprising debate.

As I mentioned before, this “Anti-Hero Worship” has happened before

Back during the Great Depression, Americans became fascinated with the exploits of criminals.

Amy Sillup, writing for Suite101.com provides an explanation:

The glamorized crime tales fired the public’s imagination, provoking the belief that at least somebody out there was “getting their share,” even if it wasn’t rightfully theirs in the first place. Former U.S. House Speaker Jim Wright recalled reading about Bonnie and Clyde’s “romantic existence” during his childhood in Texas, admitting that many people “env[ied] them a little, to be so good-looking and rich and happy.” The fact that the Barrow gang rarely if ever exhibited any of these three attributes did not dissuade readers one bit. Even if they would never live by it themselves, a lot of angry citizens at least tacitly agreed with Buck Barrow’s defiant adage: “A good run is better than a poor stand.”

It wasn’t just the criminals’ “good run” that motivated the hero worship. The Feds were often seen as a giant spider trying to ensnare the ultimately doomed, yet inordinately clever “little guys” in a “big government” web composed of more than its own fair measure of corruption and violence. Letters to the editor supported gang leaders like John Dillinger; “He rob[s] those who became rich by robbing the poor. I am for Johnnie,” reads a typical excerpt. One fresh-faced Boy Scout explained his admiration for Dillinger to a reporter with this straightforward statement: “I’m for him… I’m always for the underdog.”

Though there were certainly exceptions to the rule (Baby Face Nelson aroused fear rather than respect, for instance), the fact remains that the poorer the public became and the more hardships they suffered, the greater the social significance a criminal lifestyle seemed to assume.

America stands at the verge of another Great Depression. However, I do not believe our economic situation is the reason that some Liberals are turning this psychopath into a cult figure.

The answer is simple: These Liberals have no moral compass.

In fact…

For all of you idiots who think that Dorner is a “hero”…There’s a fallen angel in a much warmer clime that you’ll probably love, also.

Until He Comes,

Dr. Ben Carson, Christian American Conservative, Speaks the Truth and Shames the Devil

Dr. Ben CarsonThis past week, something quite remarkable happened at the National PrayerBreakfast. A wonderful Christian man, who also happens to be a very gifted, world-reknowned Beurosurgeonm Dr. Ben Carson, presented a speech that  made Americans on both sides of the aisle sit up and take notice.

Here is an excerpt, courtesy of BlackChristianNews.com:

When I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the Universe, God, and he’s given us a system. It’s called tithe. Now we don’t necessarily have to do it 10% but it’s principle. He didn’t say, if your crops fail, don’t give me any tithes. He didn’t say, if you have a bumper crop, give me triple tithes. So there must be something inherently fair about proportionality. You make $10 Billion dollars you put in a Billion. You make $10 you put in $1 – of course, you gotta get rid of the loopholes, but now now some people say, that’s not fair because it doesn’t hurt the guy who made $10 Billion dollars as much as the guy who made $10. Where does it say you have to hurt the guy. He’s just put in a billion in the pot. We don’t need to hurt him.

It’s that kind of thinking – it’s that kind of thinking that has resulted in 602 banks in the Cayman Islands. That money needs to be back here, building our infrastructure and creating jobs – and we’re smart enough – we’re smart enough to figure out how to do that.

We’ve already started down the path to solving one of the other big problems, health care. We need to have good health care for everybody. It’s the most important thing that a person can have. Money means nothing, titles mean nothing when you don’t have your health, but we’ve got to figure out efficient ways to do it. We spend a lot of money on health care, twice as much per capita as anybody in else in the world, and yet not very efficient. What can we do?

Here’s my solution. When a person is born, give him a birth certificate, an electronic medical record and a health savings account [HSA], to which money can be contributed, pre-tax from the time you are born, to the time you die. When you die, you can pass it on to your family members so that when you’re 85 years old and you’ve got 6 diseases, you’re not trying to spend up everything. You’re happy to pass it on and nobody is talking about death panels. That’s number one. Also –

For the people who are indigent, who don’t have any money, we can make contributions to their HSA each month because we already have this huge pot of money instead of sending it to bureaucracy – let’s put it into HSAs. Now they have some control over their own health care and what do you think they’re going to do? They’re going to learn very quickly how to be responsible. When Mr. Jones gets that diabetic foot ulcer, he’s not going to the Emergency Room and blowing a big chunk of it. He’s going to go to the Clinic. He learns that very quickly – gets the same treatment. In the Emergency Room they send him out. In the Clinic they say, now let’s get your diabetes under control so that you’re not back here in three weeks with another problem. That’s how we begin to solve these kinds of problems. It’s much more complex than that, and I don’t have time to go into it all, but we can do all these things because we are smart people.

And let me begin to close here – another parable: Sea Captain, and he’s out on the sea near the area where the Titanic went down. And they look ahead and there’s a bright light right there – another ship he figures. He tells his signaler to signal that ship: deviate 10 degrees to the South. Back comes the message, no you deviate 10 degrees to the North. Well, he’s a little bit incensed you know. He says, send a message, this is Captain Johnson, deviate 10 degrees to the South. Back comes the message, this is Ensign 4th Class Reilly. Deviate 10 degrees to the North. Now Captain Johnson is really upset. He says send him a message, this is a Naval Destroyer. Back comes the message, this is a Lighthouse. Enough said.

Now, what about the symbol of our Nation? The Eagle. The Bald Eagle. It’s an interesting story how we chose that but a lot of people think we call it the bald eagle because it looks like it has a bald head. That’s not the reason It comes from the Old English word Piebald, which means crowned with white. And we just shortened it to bald. Now, use that the next time you see somebody who thinks they know everything. You’ll get ’em on that one.

But, why is that eagle able to fly, high, forward? Because it has two wings: a left wing and a right wing. Enough said.

And I wanna close with this story: two hundred years ago this Nation was involved in a war, the war of 1812. The British, who are now our good friends thought that we were young whippersnappers. It was time for us to become a colony again. They were winning that war and marching up the Eastern Seaboard, destroying city after city, destroying Washington D.C., burned down the White House. Next stop Baltimore. As they came into the Chesapeake Bay, there were armadas of war ships as far as the eye could see. It was looking grim. Fort. McHenry standing right there. General Armisted, who was in charge of Fort. McHenry, had a large American flag commissioned to fly in front of the Fort. The Admiral in charge of the British Fleet was offended, said take that flag down. You have until dusk to take that Flag down. If you don’t take it down, we will reduce you to ashes.

There was a young amateur poet on board by the name of Francis Scott Key, sent by President Madison to try to obtain the release of an American physician who was being held captive. He overheard the British plans. They were not going to let him off the ship. He mourned. As dusk approached he mourned for his fledgling young Nation, and as the sun fell, the bombardment started. Bombs bursting in air. Missiles, so much debris He strained, trying to see, was the flag still there? Couldn’t see a thing. All night long it continued. At the crack of dawn he ran out to the banister He looked straining his eyes all he could only see dust and debris.

Then there was a clearing and he beheld the most beautiful sight he had ever seen – the torn and tattered Stars and Stripes still waving. And many historians say that was the turning point in the war of 1812. We went on to win that war and to retain our freedom and if you had gone onto the grounds of Fort. McHenry that day, you would have seen at the base of that flag, the bodies of soldiers who took turns. Propping up that flag, they would not let that flag go down because they believed in what that flag symbolized. And what did it symbolize? One Nation, under God, [applause] indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Thank you. God Bless.

Since that magnificent speech, Dr. Carson is in the process of being eviscerated by Liberals, who claim that because he dared to speak the TRUTH in front of The Lightbringer, President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), he spoke about the subject in the wrong venue and was being extremely rude in doing so.

These hypocrites have seemingly forgotten all of the inappropriate and downright ugly remarks they made about President George W. Bush and his family, before, during and after his 2 terms in office.

And, don’t even get me started about what they have done to  Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin and her family, and what the decidedly un-objective Main Stream Media has done to them.

What do these three leaders have in common?

They are all Christian American Conservatives, who are all unapologetic about praising His holy and Righteous Name, in public forums, just as our Founding Fathers, did.

And, that very fact scares the Devil out of American Liberals…on both sides of the aisle.

And, it shames them, too.

Obama: Unvetted, Irresponsible, and AWOL

Obama-Shrinks-2When Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) first announced his intentions to seek the Democratic Nomination for the job of President of the United States, Americans asked,

Who is this guy?

In January of 2007, future Vice-President Joe Biden, described him for us:

I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

After a speech by The Lightbringer, in June of 2008, MSNBC Host Chris Matthews made a fawning statement that would make him famous (in a pitifully sycophantic way),

I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often. No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment.

Even Republican pundits, like George Will, were slobbering over this unvetted Presidential Candidate. In June of 2008, Will wrote

Journalists consider themselves crusty, unsentimental creatures who, their battered fedoras shoved back on their heads, have slouched out of Ben Hecht’s 1928 play “The Front Page,” oozing skepticism from every pore. Actually, they are round-heeled romantics, such pushovers for a new swain that they did not laugh until their ribs squeaked when Barack Obama concluded his triumphal St. Paul, Minn., speech by proclaiming: “I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick …”

It is absolutely certain that generations from now someone will remember that even before that night in St. Paul, care was provided to the sick in America. Obama also asserted that future generations would say that “this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal …” The man and the moment have met.

Obama’s words mesmerize a nation accustomed to leaders who routinely use words with antic indifference to their accuracy.

Hidden behind their fawning facades was the fact that even the old guard of the Democratic Party had reservations about this Manchurian Candidate (or, should I say “Kenyan”?).

Back in June of 2010, when Ben Smith was still reporting for politico.com, he wrote

I’ve finally gotten my hands on a copy of Game Change, in which John Heliemann and Mark Halperin report:

[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.

Bubba, Rhodes Scholar that he is, may have unknowingly made a very cogent point, concerning The Lightbringer’s ability to handle the job of being the Leader of the Free World.

Now, one month in his second term as president (Lord, I hate having to say that…sigh…) an exclamation point has been written on his record of anti-American incompetency.

This week, as I’ve written before, hearings were held by the Senate on the massacre of our Libyan Ambassador, Chris Stephens, and 3 other Americans, by a barbaric horde of Muslim Terrorists. The Administration has blatantly engaged in a massive cover-up  since that horrible night, including blaming an unwatched Youtube video for ‘riling up” the barbarians, leading them to commit the atrocity.

During the hearings, a fact was revealed that should make every American livid with rage.

A revelation that is so bad, even that Liberal bastion of Left Wing Journalism, the Washington Post had to agree with the assessment of Conservative Talk Show Host Sean Hannity and admit that it is a troubling situation:

Sean Hannity reports that he was “stunned” upon hearing that President Obama had minimal interaction with his top defense official on the night of the Sept. 11 attack against the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. That revelation stemmed from an exchange in a Senate hearing between Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta regarding the president’s communications that night. Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey met with Obama about an hour after the attack began but didn’t have direct communication with him after that. Here’s how the exchange unfolded:

AYOTTE: Did you have any other further communications? Did he ever call you that night to say how are things going, what’s going on, where is the consulate?

PANETTA: No.

AYOTTE: Did you communicate with anyone else at the White House that night?

PANETTA: No.

AYOTTE: No one else called you to say, what, how are things going?

PANETTA: No.

As predicted, Hannity seized on the exchange. “Now the most alarming news that came out of that testimony is that President Obama was virtually absent on the night that four Americans died, and according to Panetta, he and General Dempsey only spoke once that night to the commander-in-chief.”

On came Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to assist with the accountabilitizing:

Well, Mr. President, what did you do for eight hours? Who did you talk to? What kind of leadership did you exhibit? They made two movies about the Bin Laden raid and you deserve credit for that, but you’ve had no accounting for the Benghazi attack and you’re going to have an accounting.

I’m not going to stop until the American people know what their commander-in-chief did for eight hours and thus far, all we know is he had a 15-minute conversation. The revelations from Panetta weren’t the most-watched developments on Capitol Hill. That distinction belonged to a hearing in which John O. Brennan, the White House counterterrorism adviser, was enduring a confirmation grilling for his appointment as CIA director.

…Ayotte & Co. managed to do with Panetta and Dempsey what a House and Senate panel had failed to do in January with then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and that’s to produce some telling and consequential tidbits about Benghazi. Graham told Hannity that the White House has “delayed, denied, deceived and stonewalled” regarding the ordeal. Whether or not you agree with that assessment, it has taken a good five months for this level of detail to emerge on contact among the key players.

I was going to use the Peter Principle to describe the Manchurian President. The Peter Principle is a theory that proposes that, as people rise in a hierarchy, they eventually rise to their level of incompetence.

However, that does not apply in the case of President Barack Hussein Obama (peace be upon him). He started out unvetted and incompetent.

Now, he’s become a disaster.

Obama and Clinton AWOL on 9/11/12…While Americans Were Murdered.

BenghaziGate3Yesterday, outgoing CIA Director Leon Panetta, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Martin Dempsey, spoke before the Senate on the subject of that horrible night at the Benghazi Consulate, where 4 Americans, including our Ambassador, were savagely murdered.

The Weekly Standard reports

Panetta said that Obama left operational details, including knowledge of what resources were available to help the Americans under seize, “up to us.”

In fact, Panetta says that the night of 9/11, he did not communicate with a single person at the White House. The attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Panetta said that, save their 5 o’clock prescheduled meeting with the president the day of September 11, Obama did not call or communicate in anyway with the defense secretary that day. There were no calls about the what was going on in Benghazi. He never called to check-in.

Neither the secretary of defense nor the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff spoke to the secretary of state during the 8-hour attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. At a Thursday hearing in the Senate, Republican Ted Cruz asked both Leon Panetta and Martin Dempsey, “In between 9:42 p.m., Benghazi time, when the first attacks started, and 5:15 am, when Mr. Doherty and Mr. Woods lost their lives, what converations did either of you have with Secretary Clinton?”

“We did not have any conversations with Secretary Clinton,” Panetta responded.

But, wait…there is even more gross incompetency…

General Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the State Department never requested “support” in Benghazi:

“Why didn’t you put forces in place to be ready to respond?,” Senator John McCain asked the general.

Dempsey started, “Because we never received a request to do so, number one. And number two, we –”

McCain iterrupted, “You never heard of Ambassador Stevens’s repeated warnings?”

“I had, through General Ham,” responded Dempsey, referring to the commander of AFRICOM. “But we never received a request for support from the State Department, which would have allowed us to put forces-”

“So it’s the State Department’s fault?”

“I’m not blaming the State Department,” Dempsey responded.

“And General Dempsey, the same is true for you?” Cruz asked. Dempsey confirmed this.

Back on November 1, 2012, in a post titled, “BenghaziGate: A Matter of Transparency”, I reported that

On September 11, 2012, 4 brave Americans, including our Ambassador, were murdered on the grounds of the Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. As I wrote the other day, answers are still being sought , and America’s President “ain’t saying a mumblin’ word.”

Perhaps, that is because his present actions are in direct opposition to what he promised upon taking office.

From whitehouse.gov, “Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies, SUBJECT: Transparency and Open Government”

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public…

As Americans have figured out by now, all of Obama’s promises come with expiration dates.

The Weekly Standard reports:

Seven weeks later, the White House still hasn’t explained what President Obama did and didn’t do during the seven hours of the attack on Benghazi on September 11. And there’s been no response from the White House to questions asked by senators or THE WEEKLY STANDARD or David Ignatius in the Washington Post.

We have, to be sure, heard from some government officials. But the information they’ve provided raises still more questions.

CIA director David Petraeus authorized a statement pointedly saying that “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate”—which strongly suggests that Petraeus believes or knows that officials in other parts of the government may have told subordinates “not to help those in need.”

Those could have been officials in the Defense Department. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta seemed to suggest that was the case: “The basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place, and as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”

Yesterday, we found out why Obama would not say what he was doing during the murder of those Americans.

Like Pontius Pilate, he washed his hands of the matter.

And, he, and his entire Administration are a bunch of liars, and are guilty of Dereliction of Duty, at best, and, Treason, at worst.

Period.

From the order given to “Stand Down” on that horrible night,  to the sending of Susan Rice out to the media sources to spread the blatant lie that an un-watched Youtube Video caused the murderous barbarians to attack on the 11th anniversary of the largest Muslim Terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American Soil, Obama and his minions did nothing but lie to the American people.

As I originally wrote on November 1, 2012,

This is not going away anytime soon. The American public wants some answers.

Ambassador Chris Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, and Sean Smith remain unavailable for comment.

Memphis Changes Parks’ Names. Rewrites History.

forrestpark

In the former “City of Good Abode”, a bunch of Liberal dimwits have sacrificed heritage and history on the foul-smelling altar of Political Correctness.

I was born December 3, 1958 in St. Joseph Hospital in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. St. Joseph’s is no longer standing, having been torn down in the name of “progress”.

I moved across Stateline Road to DeSoto County, Mississippi from Memphis, Tennessee in November of 1997 for a very good reason: I was no longer wanted there.

Allow me to present some evidence…

From the Memphis Commercial Appeal:

Fearful that legislators in Nashville might intervene in the controversy surrounding Memphis park names, the City Council hurriedly voted Tuesday night to rename three Confederate-themed parks in the Downtown area.

By a 9-0 vote with three abstentions, the council approved changing Forrest Park’s name to “Health Sciences Park,” because of its proximity to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Confederate Park will become “Memphis Park,” and Jefferson Davis Park will be “Mississippi River Park.”

Mike Brown/The Commercial Appeal City Council members William Boyd and Wanda Halbert are two of the nine who voted in favor of changing the park names. Three others abstained and one was absent.

Council members Jim Strickland, Kemp Conrad and Bill Morrison abstained from voting while Reid Hedgepeth did not attend the meeting.

The council also approved creating a committee to further study the naming issue. That committee will include two council members, two university professors, a representative from the NAACP, a member of the Shelby County Historical Commission and the city parks director.

All three parks have stirred repeated controversy because of their Confederate themes, particularly the one at Union and Manassas that contains the grave of Nathan Bedford Forrest. In addition to being a Confederate cavalry leader, Forrest was a slave trader before the Civil War and the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan after it.

“The parks are changed. It’s done,” said Councilman Lee Harris, who initially proposed renaming the parks after nearby streets. “We removed controversial names and named them something that is less controversial.”

The decision angered some who came to the meeting.

“I’m very upset. They’re trying to get rid of history. They’re trying to rewrite it,” Katherine Blalock said.

Added Becky Muska: “We continue to fight, whatever it takes. If it takes taking it into court, that’s a decision the historical groups will make at the appropriate time.”

The park names have stirred controversy for years, but the commotion erupted anew in early January after the city removed a marker at Forrest Park. The Sons of Confederate Veterans paid for and installed the half-ton granite marker at a cost of about $10,400.

Still, it’s likely the council wouldn’t have acted so fast Tuesday if two Nashville legislators hadn’t hurriedly introduced a bill that, if passed, would have removed the city’s ability to rename such parks. In fact, the council originally considered passing an ordinance that would have required three readings, but switched to a resolution on the issue because its effect is immediate.

The council also voted to approve its minutes Tuesday, which will prevent the measure from being reconsidered at the next meeting.

The “Tennessee Heritage Protection Act of 2013,” sponsored by Rep. Steve McDaniel (R-Lexington) and Sen. Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro), passed its first reading Monday. If approved, the measure would prevent cities from altering any “statue, monument, memorial, nameplate or plaque” erected for a number of military events, including the “War Between the States,” in the bill’s language.

“I’m not going to accuse them of being … meddlers, but you get the picture,” Councilman Harold Collins said. “There is no reason for these people in Nashville and East Tennessee to be in our business.”

Added Councilwoman Janis Fullilove: “We cannot allow Republicans in Nashville to sit up and dictate to us in the city of Memphis what we should do.”

It’s possible Health Sciences, Memphis and Mississippi River won’t be the final names of the parks, though. Even Harris called the names “bland,” and other council members agreed. Future names would likely come out of the committee that was established Tuesday night.

Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

According to 2010 U.S. Concensus Figures, Memphis is over 63% Black American. 6 Black city councilmen and 2 Whites voted for the name change.

But, you know what’s funny? No one asked them to change the names of those historic parks.

Driving home yesterday, I was listening to Ben Ferguson’s local radio program. Black caller after black caller said that they thought the name changes were “silly” and “unnecessary” .

One black caller actually brought up the historical fact that almost 100,000 Black Southerners fought on the side of the Confederacy.

The changing of park names is something that the Black Liberal Leadership in Memphis have been wanting to do for a long time.

It was a purely political move, designed to show the nation what an enlightened bunch of Liberal Leaders that they are.

Never mind that they are revising history.

To paraphrase God’s Word: “If thy city’s history offends thee, pluck it out.”

Or, pretend as if it never happened.

And, the City Administrators wonder why all the taxpayers have fled Memphis, like the Hebrews’ Exodus from Egypt. (Memphis, Egypt. Get the reference?)

Will the last taxpayer in Memphis, please turn off the lights.

Administration Sanctions Remote Control Elimination

obamabigbroRemember when we were kids, all the science fiction novelists writing about the future being a “brave new world”?

Well, it’s a new world alright. However, with this Administration in charge of it, the word “‘dangerous” has replaced the word “brave”.

NBC News reports

Legal experts expressed grave reservations Tuesday about an Obama administration memo concluding that the United States can order the killing of American citizens believed to be affiliated with al-Qaida — with one saying the White House was acting as “judge, jury and executioner.”

The experts said that the memo, first obtained by NBC News, threatened constitutional rights and dangerously expanded the definition of national self-defense and of what constitutes an imminent attack.

“Anyone should be concerned when the president and his lawyers make up their own interpretation of the law or their own rules,” said Mary Ellen O’Connell, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame and an authority on international law and the use of force.

“This is a very, very dangerous thing that the president has done,” she added.

The memo, made public Monday, provides detail about the administration’s controversial expansion of drone strikes against al-Qaida suspects abroad, including those aimed at American citizens.

Among them were Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, who were killed by an American strike in September 2011 in Yemen. Both men were U.S. citizens who had not been charged with a crime.

Attorney General Eric Holder, in a talk at Northwestern University Law School in March, endorsed the constitutionality of targeted killings of Americans provided that the government determines such an individual poses “an imminent threat of violent attack.”

But the memo obtained by NBC News refers to a broader definition of imminence and specifically says the government is not required to have “clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future.”

Glenn Greenwald, a constitutional lawyer who writes about security and liberty for the British newspaper The Guardian, described the memo as “fundamentally misleading,” with a clinical tone that disguises “the radical and dangerous power it purports to authorize.”

“If you believe the president has the power to order U.S. citizens executed far from any battlefield with no charges or trial, then it’s truly hard to conceive of any asserted power you would find objectionable,” he wrote.

The attorney general told reporters Tuesday that the administration’s primary concern is to keep Americans safe, and to do it in a way consistent with American values. He said the administration was confident it was following federal and international law.

“We will have to look at this and see what it is we want to do with these memos,” he said. “But you have to understand that we are talking about things that are, that go into how we conduct our offensive operations against a clear and present danger.”

White House press secretary Jay Carney said that while the government must take the Constitution into account, U.S. citizenship does not make a leader of an enemy force immune from being targeted.

The drone strikes, and now the Justice Department memo, are expected to figure prominently Thursday when the Senate takes up the nomination of John Brennan, the White House counterterrorism adviser and architect of the drone campaign, to lead the CIA.

This Administration’s surveillance on American citizens has been in the works for quite a while..and, it is probably going to be activated domestically as well.

In an article posted on May 12, 2012, rt.com reported that

A leaked US Air Force document stipulates a drone that happens to capture surveillance images of Americans may store them for a period of 90 days. The paper appears to justify spying on citizens, as long as it is “incidental.”

The document accepts that the Air Force may not record information non-consensually; however it does state “collected imagery may incidentally include US persons or private property without consent.”

The report, dated April 23 was discovered by Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists and has been put online.

Data that is accidentally recorded may be stored for a period of 90 days by the Pentagon while it is analyzed to see if the subjects are legitimate targets for state surveillance. The Pentagon may also disseminate this data among other government organizations if it sees fit.

“Even though information may not be collectible, it may be retained for the length of time necessary to transfer it to another DoD entity or government agency to whose function it pertains,” states the document.

In addition, it justifies the gathering of data on domestic targets in certain circumstances. According to the paper, these include surveillance of natural disasters, environmental studies, system testing and training, and counterintelligence and security-related vulnerability assessments.

The document seems to spell bad news for civil liberties, considering the US government passed a bill in February allocating $63 billion to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

If the bill is signed into law it will effectively allow the FAA to fill US skies with drones, a massive 30,000 predicted to be operational in US airspace by 2020.

Over 30 prominent civil rights groups in the US have rounded on the FAA and demanded that it reconsider the legislation and hold a rule-making session to address privacy and safety threats.

“Unfortunately, nothing in the bill would address the very serious privacy issues raised by drone aircraft. This bill would push the nation willy-nilly toward an era of aerial surveillance without any steps to protect the traditional privacy that Americans have always enjoyed and expected,” said the American Civil Liberties Union in response to the legislation.

The bill has sparked fears among Americans that their civil liberties may be under threat, considering that the use of drones in Afghanistan and Pakistan has been extended to carry out attacks on militants.

I remember a movie from the 1980s titled “Real Genius”. A young Val Kimer and a bunch of underage geniuses at a University were working on a super-powered laser that could be shot by a pilot in a space shuttle to assassinate somebody sitting by their pool.

Now, we have unarmed drones, piloted by joystick, like a video game, which can not only be used for 24 hour surveillance on American citizens, but can also be used to eliminate American citizens.

Skynet has become aware.
