Keep the Change, Mr. President

In his first National Campaign for President, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), ran on the theme of Hope and Change.

After almost 2 and one-half years of a nightmarish presidency, even the Far Left Wackadoodles are woefully disappointed.

[The] Motorcade left the Intercontinental Hotel at 9 am local and arrived at the St. Regis for President Obama’s last Bay area fundraiser. A couple dozen demonstrators are on a corner across the street from the hotel. They have signs – “Yes We Cannabis” and “Protect Marijuana Patients Rights” – and are chanting something your pooler couldn’t make out. One of them also has sign of Uncle Sam’s face with “LIAR” written on his hat.

About 200 donors were at the breakfast fundraiser, per a Democratic official.

…Mr. Obama was in the middle of his remarks when a woman in a white suit stood up and said, Mr. President we wrote you a song. POTUS tried to get her to wait until later, but she persisted and the table of 10 broke into a song that pointed out they’d just spent $5,000 donating to his campaign and went on to protest the treatment of Pfc. Bradley Manning. The woman stayed standing as they sang. Mr. Obama looked to Ms. Pelosi and asked, Nancy did you do this? Ms. Pelosi had a look on her face, as she stared at the singing group, that definitely said she did not. The song – will send quotes after transcribe – talked about Bradley Manning and how he is “alone in a cell…”

The 10 singers then passed around 8.5×11 signs that said “Free Bradley Manning” or had a photo of him. Then the woman in the white suit stripped off her jacket to reveal a black T-shirt that said Free Bradley Manning, with an image of him. “We paid our dues. Where’s our change?” they sang. USSS and WH staff had moved near the table at this point. The woman was escorted out. Two others left on their own. (The rest stayed and applauded at the end of POTUS’s speech.)

NOTE:  Oakland activist Naomi Pitcairn organized the sing-along for the group which calls itself freshjuiceparty.com.  She personally paid $76,000 total for tickets for the group to gain entry to the high priced fundraiser, according to nbcbayarea.com.

“That was a nice song,” a displeased Mr. Obama said. “Now where was I?” POTUS asked. As was indicated by that song, “Over the last 2 and a half years, change turned out to be tougher than we expected,” POTUS said.

No kiddin’, Scooter.

After two years of Obama…Here’s your change!

Just take this last item:  In the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our entire nation’s history..  Over 27 times as fast.  Metaphorically speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH and a car rockets past you in the left lane. 27 times faster, it would be doing  7,555 MPH!

Obama is starting to feel the heat for his failure of a presidency.  Per wsj.com:

The Barack Obama we’ve been seeing lately is a different personality than the one that made a miracle run to the White House in 2008.

Obama.2008 was engaging, patient, open, optimistic and a self-identified conciliator.

Obama.2011 has been something else—testy, petulant, impatient, arrogant and increasingly a divider.

Never forget: That historic 2008 victory came with 52.9% of the total vote and 52% of independent voters. David Axelrod recently noted “how small the margin for error is.”

Presidential personality is well inside the margin of error for 2012, but the one on display recently has not been attractive. And it’s happening a lot.

This Monday, after wrapping up a White House interview with a Dallas TV reporter, the station reported that Mr. Obama said: “Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, alright?”

What answers, Mr. President?  You can keep the Change.

A NOTE FROM KJ: A special tip of the Jester’s cap to my cadre of friends, who sent me the statistical information featured in today’s post.

KJ, I’ve become a fanatical reader at HotAir (I can’t wait until the next registration window opens) and, concomitantly, of your blog.

You knock the ball out of the ballpark with each and every article, my friend–and this one is no different.

The days of blaming W for this morass–as much as he did get the ball rolling toward perdition (which seriously dented my appreciation of his presidency, particularly his first term)–are gone. Indeed, the man-child emperOr owns this cesspool.

You know, I’d like to dismiss BHO as our most spectacularly idiotic and ineffective CIC yet; however, I know that he–largely through his handlers, I’m sure–has calculated this downward spiral to the nth turn. I mean, probability statistics dictate that the most inept person would make a correct, stand-up decision every now and then. BHO has made the wrong call on EVERY decision, i.e., the fix is in.

I suppose one of the purest tests to Christian faith is unwavering obedience to the command to love one’s enemies. I can assure you–and with no small measure of shame–that I’m horribly failing that test where this unrepentant South Side serpent is concerned.
