On November 2nd, 2010. Conservative Americans sequestered themselves in voting booths across the land and sent what we thought was an unmistakable message to the rascals in Washington, D.C.
Either it wasn’t as clear as we thought, the Progressives are in denial, or their Progressive ideology trumps their oath of public service.
In the following video clip from the House of Representatives on Monday, the presiding speaker was California’s Democratic Rep. Laura Richardson.
Indiana Republican Rep. Steve Buyer sought to be recognized to speak for five minutes about some pending veterans legislation. The dense Democrat, after conferring with someone unknown, said no.
He then revised his request to one minute.
Richardson, obviously clueless and getting directions from someone off-camera, said no again.
Buyer grew outraged that one sitting representative was highhandedly refusing to recognize another, even for one minute.
Exasperated, he declared to this waste of a House seat:
This is why the American people have thrown you out of power.
Here’s the video. You need to watch this:
The Democrat/Liberal/Progressive cluelessness extends all the way up to the highest office in the land. No surprise, I know.
President Obama and Republican leaders met yesterday in the much-ballyhooed (at least by the White House) Slurpee Summitt. The spin resulting from the meeting is that it was productive even though there was no agreement reached on extending tax cuts for Americans or ratifying the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, the top two items on the agenda.
President Barack Hussein Obama reported after the meeting that:
Today we had the beginning of a new dialogue that I hope — and I’m sure most Americans hope — will help break through the noise and help produce gains. And as we all agreed, that should begin today because there’s some things we need to get done in the weeks before Congress leaves town for the holidays.
Scooter wants Turbo Tax Tim Geithner and Lew Clark to work with Republicans on a compromise to extending the tax cuts. He also wants Congress to extend unemployment benefits that expired yesterday, and he said that they also discussed tax credits for college tuition, tax breaks for working families and a tax cut for businesses that hire unemployed workers.
Obama said:
None of this is going to be easy. We have two parties for a reason. There are real philosophical differences, deeply held principles to which each party holds.
Although the atmosphere in today’s meeting was extremely civil, there’s no doubt that those differences are going to remain no matter how many meetings we have. And the truth is, there will always be a political incentive against working together, particularly in the current hyperpartisan climate.
We understand these aren’t times for us to be playing games. … I think there was a sincere effort on the part of everybody involved to commit to work together and try to solve the problems.
You should know a lot about the “hypersensitive climate” in Washington, Scooter. Your personal arrogance and blindly ideological Far Left political mission that you have forced down the nation’s throats, is responsible for it.
Two weeks before the election, gallup.com issued a poll stating that 54 % of Americans were Conservative, 27 % Moderate (Independent), and 18 % Liberal.
For Obama and the Dems to continue pushing a Far Left, socialist agenda in the wake of the crushing defeat that they suffered on November 2nd, is an exercise in self-deluding arrogance that even Narcissus himself would be proud of.
Obama’s spin on the Midterm Electoral Massacre of his political party is that Americans want more co-operation in Washington between their elected representatives. By co-operation, Obama means co-operation in passing his ideologically driven agenda designed to turn American into some sort of Nanny-State Socialist Utopia where everybody “shares the wealth”.
In other words: “I’m smarter than you, so shut up”, he explained.
This arrogance manifested as cluelessness does not provide a flattering image of the president to Americans or the rest of the world. His poll numbers continue to plunge, as more examples of his amateurish leadership abilities continue to surface. His Alfred E. Newman (What, me worry?) response to the Wikileaks Document Dump and his tone-deafness as to the real wishes of the American people, show to the world and the people that he was elected to serve, that he does not intend to take the Midterm shellacking to heart and move to the middle, as Bill Clinton did in 1994.
He remains a Far Left ideologue determined to radically change America…regardless of the wishes of the American people.
Strother Martin said it best in Cool Hand Luke:
Obama doesn’t want to work together. He just wants us to smile and take it. I’m thinking Kevin Bacon in Animal House…
Thank you sir, may I have another.

It sadly becomes more and more apparent that there is no stopping Obama and his push for the far left agenda. Not even this last election. Our RINOs are willing, these days, to compromise with the devil. Depressing…

Depressing is right!!!! There is no compromise on issues of “good vs. evil.”

Well, the good news is that Obama’s arrogance and failure to learn the same lesson Clinton did pretty much guarantees he’s a one-termer.

I just hope that Reid keeps messing around and using up his precious lame duck session time on everything else but repealing the obama tax increase and work on the budget. For every minute, hour, day that he pushes Food “Safety” (see CPSIA) and the Nightmare Act instead of taxes and budget is another minute, hour, day that the “42” stand fast and deny him (Reid) the RINO’s vote in passing his socialist agenda…
