In a very coordinated message on the Sunday talk shows, senior White House officials admitted that the Pakistani Taliban were behind the failed Times Square bombing.
This was that group’s first attempt at launching an attack on U.S. soil. The malfunctioning bomb in Times Square and Christmas Day airline bomber indicate growing strength by overseas terrorist groups linked to al-Qaida. At the same time, the CIA says their operations are seriously degraded.
By putting forth this new message, the Administration is admitting that the U.S. relationship with Pakistan, which is widely known to have al-Qaida and other terrorist groups operating within its borders, isn’t so hot.
Attorney General Eric Holder said concerning the Pakistani Taliban:
We know that they helped facilitate it; we know that they helped direct it. And I suspect that we are going to come up with evidence which shows that they helped to finance it. They were intimately involved in this plot.
The president’s homeland security and counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan, made similar remarks, also admitting that the bomber was linked to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP. He also said:
They now are relegated to trying to do these unsophisticated attacks, showing that they have inept capabilities in training.
There are a number of terrorist and militant groups operating in Pakistan. And we need to make sure there’s no support being given to them by the Pakistani government.

Back to this week. Yesterday, Attorney General Eric Holder said that he and Congress are talking about possible modifications to the reading of Miranda rights. The administration has been criticized for reading Miranda rights to the suspect in the Times Square bombing attempt and to the suspect in the Christmas Day failed attempt to blow up an airplane over Detroit.
Sunday on ABC’s This Week, the Attorney General said both suspects (Thank the Lord) continued to talk to law enforcement after they received their Miranda rights.
But he said the administration needs to consider at least modifying the public safety exception for reading a suspect his rights to ensure law enforcement can act with flexibility and within constitutional bounds.
What has changed? Why this shift in Smart Power? Americans have been screaming about this Adminstration’s idiotic position on Terrorism since Major Nidal Malik Hassan killed 13 people, including a baby in its’ mother’s womb, and wounded 31 others at Ft. Hood, TX on that fateful first Thursday in November, 2009.
I believe that there are at least two reasons. First, the mid-term elections are coming up. Democrats and Vichy Republicans are set to experience the worst massacre since General George Custer said:

If Scooter and his Administration can convince the gullible among us that they have some degree of competency in Foreign Affairs, the political slaughter in November and, the way it looks now, 2012, might not be as bad.
Secondly, President Pantywaist is an American joke that the entire world is in on. Could it be that, when the EunuchBomber and Faisal started singing in two-part harmony, the Administration found out that all the apologizing and bowing that Scooter has been doing to despots, Islamic and otherwise, around the world has done nothing but embolden them in their quest to wipe us of the face of the Earth?

Hey Pres. Obama, how ’bout we stop these ‘inept’ terrorists from entering our country in the first place? I don’t care if they are ‘inept’ or not -only one of these morons needs to get lucky for there to be very catastrophic consequences. What if the ‘lucky’ terrorist is one carrying a suitcase full of anthrax or a dirty bomb? Good grief! Do your job and protect us, already!!!
