Wishin’ and Hopin’ and Thinkin’ and Prayin’

There are some very upset people in the White House this morning.  The New York City Times Square Bomber was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Eastern today.  He was taken off an airplane leaving for Dubai, along with two others, trying to get the heck out of Dodge.

By now, you’re saying:

Hold on , KJ.  Obama and the rest of the Administration should be happy, shouldn’t they?  They caught the Bomber, and he wasn’t Bill Ayers.

Unfortunately, though, for the White House and the Liberal base they represent, the suspect is not Billy Bob Redneck from Hot Coffee, Mississippi, Deacon in the Southern Baptist  Church there.  Nope.   To quote the lead on FoxNews.com:

Faisal Shahzad arrested in connection to failed Times Square attack as he was departing on flight to Dubai

Faisal is  from Pakistan.  He is a 30 year old naturalized American citizen.  Police are now searching his home in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  And, horrors, he is a Muslim.

He had gone home to Pakistan for several months recently.  He returned to America without his wife and two children.

After Faisal’s 1993 Nissan Pathfinder failed to explode in a crowded Times Square Saturday night, New York City Mayor Bloomberg said when the perky Katie Couric asked who he thought the Bomber might be:

Homegrown maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.

“Big Sis” Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary said on CNN:

It’s somewhat similar, but again I caution that the last thing we want to do is draw premature conclusions which may obscure the actual leads we may be following,…

There had also been theories that because the SUV was parked near the headquarters of Viacom, the attack might have been related to a controversial “South Park” episode that portrayed the Prophet Muhammad dressed in a bear costume. Viacom, of course, owns Comedy Central.

“I’m not going to speculate on speculation. It’s out there as one theory. There may be others,” Napolitano told CNN. “What we do know is that some person or persons parked a vehicle … (and) tried to blow it up.”

Let us travel back in time to a couple of weeks ago.  Again, from FoxNews.com April 16, 2010:

Former President Bill Clinton warned Friday that the anger some members of the Tea Party movement express about higher taxes and the size of government could feed the same right-wing extremism that led to the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, which killed 168 people and injured hundreds more.

“Before the bombing occurred, there was a sort of fever in America,” Clinton said at a symposium commemorating the 15th anniversary of the bombing. “Meanwhile, the fabric of American life had been unraveling. More and more people who had a hard time figuring out where they fit in, it is true that we see some of that today.”

April 17, 2010:

Fifteen years after the Oklahoma City bombing, the specter of domestic terrorism has returned to haunt the Obama administration, with a warning from the FBI that “home-grown and lone-wolf extremists” now represent as serious a threat as Al Qaeda and its affiliates, The Times reported on Saturday.

The warning, from the FBI Director, Robert Mueller, came as the former President Clinton drew parallels between the Oklahoma City tragedy and a recent upsurge in anti-government rhetoric, while American television audiences heard Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, describe the “absolute rage” that drove him to plan an attack that killed 168 men, women and children.

An FBI spokesman said Friday that Mueller was referring to right-wing extremist groups and anti-government militias, as well as American Islamists, in his testimony to the Senate committee that must approve the FBI’s $8.3 billion budget.

Remember President Obama’s Cairo Speech on June 4, 2009?

I’ve come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world, one based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition.  Instead, they overlap, and share common principles — principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

I do so recognizing that change cannot happen overnight.  I know there’s been a lot of publicity about this speech, but no single speech can eradicate years of mistrust, nor can I answer in the time that I have this afternoon all the complex questions that brought us to this point.  But I am convinced that in order to move forward, we must say openly to each other the things we hold in our hearts and that too often are said only behind closed doors.  There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground.  As the Holy Koran tells us, “Be conscious of God and speak always the truth.”  (Applause.)  That is what I will try to do today — to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.

Lovely sentiments.  He must have learned that at the Madrassa, err, Private School in Indonesia he attended as a child.  If Scooter and the Liberals had their way, they would have you believe that Grandma and the rest of the American Tea Party participants, of all races, are more dangerous than this failed Muslim Terrorist (Yeah, I said it.)  Let’s face it.  We have a President and Administration leading the best country in the world, that seem to value those who would destroy us more than they do their own fellow citizens.  I guarantee that  Attorney General Holder will want to try this Terrorist in New York City, too.

In fifteen years, there has been ONE good ol’ boy terror attack. In that time, we’ve seen dozens here and abroad by Muslim Terrorists.

In fairness to Katy and Obowmao, the car bomb could have been a white American. Where was Billy Ayres?

Just because he’s a goat schtupper from Backhairistan doesn’t mean that he’s not an evil tea-partier bent on racist revenge over Obambicare.

Once again the liberal left prove that the more they speculate, the dumber they look when the whole story comes out! Please tell me someone will hold them responsible for their rhetoric sometime in the near future..isn’t it time??

Talk about disappointing… and here I thought THIS time for sure, all that searching and prodding of wheel-chaired elderly at the airport would finally pay off.

The left wants America to divide among it’s many fault lines, to disintegrate, to FAIL…Unfortunately for them, they won’t like the end result — regardless of the outcome…
