Pelosi and CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Get Into a Heated Argument After He Asks Her Why She Won’t Accept Trump’s Latest Stimulus Offer

FoxNews.com reports that

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., accused CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer Tuesday of being “an apologist … for the Republican position” during a stunning interview in which she grew visibly frustrated with “The Situation Room” anchor’s questions.

The fireworks began when Blitzer asked Pelosi why she “won’t accept the president’s latest [coronavirus] stimulus offer.”

“I hope you’ll ask the same question of the Republicans on why they don’t want to meet the needs of the American people,” Pelosi responded. “But let me say to those people because all of my colleagues — we represent these people … and their needs are not addressed in the president’s proposal. So when you say to me, ‘Why don’t you accept theirs?’ Why don’t they accept ours?”

Blitzer interjected, telling Pelosi that Americans “really need the money now” and quoted Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., who recently said, “People in need can’t wait until February. $1.8 trillion is significant & more than twice the Obama stimulus … Make a deal & put the ball in McConnell court.”

“So what do you say to Ro Khanna?” Blitzer asked.

“What I say to you is I don’t know why you’re always an apologist — and many of your colleagues [are] apologists for the Republican position,” Pelosi fired back, adding “Ro Khanna, that’s nice, that isn’t what we’re going to do and nobody’s waiting til February.”

The contentious exchange continued when Blitzer pressed Pelosi again about Trump’s $1.8 trillion proposal, asking her, “why not work out a deal with him and don’t let the perfect, as they say here in Washington, be the enemy of the good?”

“Well, I will not let the wrong be the enemy of the right,” Pelosi fired back.

“What’s wrong with $1.8 trillion?” Blitzer asked.

“You know what, do you have any idea what the difference is between the spending that they have in their bill and what we have in our bill?” Pelosi asked before ticking off a list of her issues with the proposal.

“That is precisely why, Madame Speaker … it’s so important right now,” Blitzer responded “Yesterday, I spoke to [former Democratic presidential candidate] Andrew Yang, who says the same thing. It’s not everything you want but there’s a lot there.”

“But you know what? Honest to God!” Pelosi complained. “You really- I cannot get over it because Andrew Yang, he’s lovely. Ro Khanna, he’s lovely. They are not negotiating this situation. They have no idea of the particulars. They have no idea of what the language is here …

The tension carried on until the very end, when Blitzer attempted to wrap up the interview after the speaker accused him of “defending the administration all this time.”

“We’ll leave it on the note that you’re not right on this, Wolf, and I hate to say that to you,” Pelosi told the CNN anchor. “But I feel confident about it and I feel confident about my colleagues and I feel confident in my [committee] chairs.”

Blitzer responded, “It’s not about me, it’s about millions of Americans who can’t put food on the table, who can’t pay the rent, and who are having trouble getting by.”

“And we represent them, we represent them,” Pelosi repeated several times over Blitzer.

“As we say, don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good,” Blitzer reiterated.

“It is nowhere near perfect … we’re not even close to the good,” Pelosi shot back. “Thank you for your sensitivity to our constituents’ needs.”

“I am sensitive to them because I see them on the street begging for food, begging for money,” the anchor said.

“Have you fed them?” Pelosi blurted out. “We feed them, we feed them.”

Tuesday was not the first time the speaker verbally attacked a journalist during an interview.

In August, Pelosi lashed out at “PBS NewsHour” anchor Judy Woodruff, accusing her of being an “advocate” for Republicans during another heated negotiating period on coronavirus relief.

As CNN’s Wolf Blitzer found out the hard way yesterday, the word “delusional” does not even begin to cover San Fran Nan’s s Superiority Complex and her tone-deafness when it comes to average Americans’ wishes.

Nancy Pelosi’s station in life defies logic.

As she has shown us for decades and these past four years especially, she has to be the most tone deaf aristocrat since Marie Antoinette, who, when supposedly asked about the starving rabble in France, quipped,

Let them eat cake!

For her to completely brush off the plight of America’s small business owners and employees in our to try to “bully” President Trump into giving her the outrageous sum of taxpayer money that she wants to “share” with illegal immigrants and all of her other special interest groups, in not just tone-deaf…it’s oblivious.

There are two possibilities for Pelosi’s misjudgment of the American People:

  1. She has been so sheltered from us “rabble” during all of those years up on Capitol Hill, that she simply is clueless to the daily lives of average Americans and how we feel on the issues of the day. Or…
  2. She, like the Presidential Candidate of her political party, Joe Biden, is a victim of galloping dementia.

The brilliant Conservative Economist, Dr. Thomas Sowell once wrote,

…Perhaps the most remarkable feature of the world envisioned by today’s liberals is that it is a world where other people just passively accept whatever “change” liberals impose. In the world of Liberal Land, you can just take for granted all the benefits of the existing society, and then simply tack on your new, wonderful ideas that will make things better.

Pelosi and her compatriots are holding up giving additional money to America’s small businesses to leverage for add-ons to the bill which will strictly be political pork to the Democrats’ handpicked special interest groups and these add-ons will have nothing to do with the Chinese Coronavirus.

Like the money they added to the Stimulus Package for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Liberal Ideas always cost taxpayer money…and they never make things better for the average American.

President Ronald Reagan once famously said,

It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.

A quotation which also helps to explain Pelosi’s gross overestimation of the popularity of Liberal Ideals among Average Americans here in “Flyover Country”.

Pelosi’s continued denial of the fact that Americans rejected the political ideology of the Democrats and voted for change in the 2016 Presidential Election appears to be a part of an alternative reality that she and the rest of the “Special Snowflakes” who voted for Hillary Clinton and who compose the Far Left Base of the Modern Democratic Party, have transformed themselves into, considering all they have done during the past 4 years since the election is to try to damage President Donald J. Trump and remove him from office by any means necessary.

The pain of their frustration is so immense over Clinton’s loss that they have created a reality in which Clinton actually beat Trump, one in which their embracing of the tenets of Marxism has won the hearts and minds of the American People.

Their undersized medulla oblongotas and oversized craniums will not allow them to accept the fact that Americans completely rejected their candidate, Hillary Clinton, and their Political Ideology on that fateful day in November.

So, they have retreated to that alternative reality, where they can feed and ride their unicorns somewhere over the rainbow and where they will find rest in their “Safe Space”.

And, if “Marie Antoinette” Pelosi and all of her cronies want to remain “sheltered in place”, let them stay there.

Average Americans want to get back to their jobs so that they can provide for their families.

Average Americans’ individual freedom means more to them than Pelosi’s room-sized freezer full of ice cream means to her.

The time to “Reopen America’s Economy Again” is at hand.

Her and her fellow members of the Democratic Elite can either help or shut up and get out of the way.

They are above to be buried under a political “Red Tsunami” on November 3rd.

Judging from Wolf Blitzer’s bucking up to her, I would not be surprised if he has read the Democrats’ internal polling as to what is going to happen on Election Day and he was attempting to get Pelosi to “wisen up”.

That’s not going to happen any time soon.

From Watergate to Sequester Madness

obamakingThe summer before I entered the 9th Grade, something even more historic than my family’s move to a new neighborhood happened in our nation’s capital.

On 17th June 1972, 5 men were arrested for breaking into the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. Initially, it was assumed that it was just a simple burglary that went wrong. However, when investigations started, it was found out that the men had entered the office to repair bugs that they had installed into the office nearly a week earlier.

On further investigations, it was found out that the so-called burglars were some how connected to the White House and were given the task to spy on the Democrats. One of the “burglars” arrested was named Jim McCord Jr. He was the security officer for Richard Nixon’s Committee to Reelect the President. Even a diary was found which had the contact number of E Howard Hunt, who was an intelligence agent and a member of the White House plumbers, which was a secret team of agents working at the behest of the White House. The investigators went on to figure out that the E Howard Hunt along G Gordon Liddy were the brains behind the first break in. Soon it was found that there were many agents responsible for spying on the Democrats. A check meant for Richard Nixon’s reelection campaign was traced to the bank account of one of the burglars. This led the investigators to conclude that the campaign funds were being used to fund these illegal activities. However, even at this stage, it did not stop Richard Nixon, a Republican, to win the US president election.

James McCord sent a letter to the trial judge naming other people who were part of this conspiracy. With more and more evidence being unearthed, it was soon clear that Richard Nixon was personally involved in the scandal along with several members from his administration. It was also discovered that many of the conversations regarding the conspiracy took place in the Oval Office and these conversations were taped. Initially, Nixon denied the presence of the tapes, but due to US Supreme Court order, he was forced to hand over the tapes containing the damning conversations. However, some important conversations from these tapes were missing.

The US Congress was forced to begin the process of impeachment against Richard Nixon. However, before the culmination of the process, Nixon resigned on 9th August 1974. While Nixon himself did not serve any prison time, many of his aides were found guilty by the Grand Jury.

Between 1972 and 1976, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein became two of the most famous journalists in America as they became known as the reporters who broke the biggest story in American politics. Beginning with the investigation of a “third-rate burglary” of the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Watergate complex, Woodward and Bernstein gradually discovered and reported the system of political “dirty tricks” and crimes that caused the indictments of forty White House and administration officials, and ultimately, the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

Now, Bob Woodward is making news again, by stating facts about a sitting president, whose ethical standards are so low, they would have to borrow a ladder to climb to pitiful.

BusinessInsider.com reports that

Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a “very senior person” at the White House warned him in an email that he would “regret doing this,” the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined.

“I think they’re confused,” Woodward said of the White House’s pushback on his reporting.

Earlier today on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Woodward ripped into Obama in what has become an ongoing feud between the veteran Washington Post journalist and the White House. Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.

The Defense Department said in early February that it would not deploy the U.S.S. Harry Truman to the Persian Gulf, citing budget concerns relating to the looming cuts known as the sequester.

“Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, ‘Oh, by the way, I can’t do this because of some budget document?'” Woodward said on MSNBC.

“Or George W. Bush saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to invade Iraq because I can’t get the aircraft carriers I need?'” Or even Bill Clinton saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to attack Saddam Hussein’s intelligence headquarters,’ … because of some budget document?”

Last weekend, Woodward called out Obama for what he said was “moving the goal posts” on the sequester by requesting that revenue be part of a deal to avert it.

emporersnewclothesBy playing the role of the child proclaiming that

The Emperor has no clothes on!

Woodward has made himself the target of scorn and ridicule by the self-same Liberal Pundits who once paid him thousands of dollars to speak at their rubber-chicken banquets.

He has become a pariah to the Liberal Elite, having dared question their messiah’s infallibility and unmatched brilliance.

To quote Police Lt. John McCLane,

Welcome to the party, pal!

A Split Decision on Super Tuesday. A Conservative Light on the Horizon?

As I sit down to write this blog, Super Tuesday has turned out to be the split decision everyone thought it would be.  Romney won his “home state” (another one?) of Massachusetts, along with Vermont, Virginia, and, barely, Ohio. Santorum took North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.   And, Newt Gingrich won his only home state of Georgia, decisively

Per the Associated Press:

Romney won at least 212 Super Tuesday delegates and Santorum won at least 84. Gingrich won at least 72 delegates and Texas Rep. Ron Paul got at least 22.

So far, Romney is winning 54 percent of the Super Tuesday delegates; Santorum is winning 22 percent.

A total of 419 delegates were up for grabs in 10 states Tuesday. A handful were left be allocated.

In the overall race for convention delegates, Romney leads with 415, including endorsements from members of the Republican National Committee who automatically attend the convention and can support any candidate they choose. Santorum has 176 delegates, Gingrich has 105 and Paul has 47.

It will take 1,144 delegates at the party’s national convention this summer to win the Republican nomination for president.

Does any one else see a regional pattern developing here?  Romney is hardly beloved in the Heartland, is he?

While Mitt Romney may very well be “inevitable”, due to his unrelenting support for the GOP Establishment and his never-ending supply of Campaign Funds, he is hardly a “Consensus” Candidate.

Gosh, I wish that there was a candidate out there, who was a Reagan Conservative, who could relate to average Americans, and was so down to earth that they would even stop their campaign bus at a Walmart to pick up diapers for their baby.

Oh, wait…

Stand by for this “live” (last night) interview from CNN:

WOLF BLITZER, CNN ANCHOR: Our Paul Vercammen is up there in Wasilla, Alaska. Remember, Wasilla, we heard a lot about Wasilla only a few years ago. Paul Vercammen is standing by with a very special guest – I’ll give you a hint, the former governor of that state. Paul, talk to her.

PAUL VERCAMMEN, CNN CORRESPONDENT: I will, Wolf. By the way, Sarah Palin says hello. She just voted here in Wasilla. They expect 1,000 people to come through here.

And I think, Sarah, a lot of people are asking, who did you vote for tonight? Who would you like to see emerge as the GOP frontrunner?

FORMER GOV. SARAH PALIN, R-ALASKA: I would not tell you who I voted for in this presidential preference poll. I want to say hi to Wolf, though, and thank you guys for being up here in Wasilla and covering this, because every vote counts, and every district, every state matters. And that’s why I wanted to see this process continue because I want more people to have a say in who the nominee should be.

VERCAMMEN: But while you won’t say who you’re leaning for, are there any trends or is there something that you think is extremely important to the GOP platform this year that you want to see come to fruition?

PALIN: Yes. I want to see the process continue, more debate about who it is who can bust through the Orwellian Obama rhetoric and pandering that we see in the incumbent, who can bust through that with facts, with history, with logic, with common sense, in order for American voters to understand we do have a choice. There is a contrast between the incumbent, Barack Obama, and any of the four on the GOP ticket. Who best can bust through that rhetoric and express their ideas and their solutions to get our economy back on the right track, that’s the nominee I want to see forwarded (ph).

VERCAMMEN: Is there any fear that if this drags on for a long time, you are going to sap war chests and you’re going to cause a situation where the party becomes too divided?

PALIN: I am not a believer in that, not at this point. I do believe that competition makes all of our candidates better. Remember, there are five men running for president, and I think Barack Obama is the worst choice, is the last choice. So the four in front of him, as they duke it out in the arena of ideas and solutions to propose, the more of that, the better.

VERCAMMEN: Sarah Palin for president 2016, is it possible?

PALIN: Anything in this life, in this world is possible. Anything is possible for an American. And I don’t discount any idea or plan that at this point isn’t in my control. Anything’s possible.

VERCAMMEN: But would you seriously consider a run?

PALIN: I would seriously consider whatever I can do to help our country to put things back on the right track. Our economy, the foreign policy, proposals that we have to see put forward in order to secure our homeland, and the Americans, especially our brave fighting men and women who are overseas right now in places that perhaps we shouldn’t be right now. Anything that I can do to help, I will be willing to help.

VERCAMMEN: OK, one more question, from Wolf, if I can hear him. Let me try to relay it to you.

BLITZER: All right, Paul, I know there’s a delay between me and you, but thank the former governor, the Republican nominee for all of us. A quick question for her. I’m just curious how she’s been reacting to this whole Rush Limbaugh controversy with this Georgetown University law student, because there were some vile words that were uttered by some liberal Democrats as far as Sarah Palin was concerned, and I wonder if she wants to weigh in on this controversy.

VERCAMMEN: Wolf wants to know if you want to weigh in on this controversy. He says some vile words were thrown around, some of them directed towards you actually, the controversy involving Rush Limbaugh, contraception and the Georgetown student? Your reaction to some of those words that were used?

PALIN: I think the definition of hypocrisy is for Rush Limbaugh to have been called out, forced to apologize and retract what it is that he said in exercising his First Amendment rights, and never is that – the same applied to the leftist radicals who say such horrible things about the handicapped, about women, about the defenseless. So I think that’s the definition of hypocrisy. And that’s my two cents worth.

I wish we had some straight talk from all of the current Republican Candidates like that.

It would certainly be refreshing.  And Conservative.
