Time is Running Out on a Desperate Obama. Who Will Thwart His Plans? Conservatives, if Allowed to.

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600The clock is ticking down on the Obama Presidency. It won’t be long until the Mid-Term Elections, which could make the rapidly-failing Lightbringer’s political mission even tougher to complete than it is now.

Weeklystandard.com reports that

President Obama knows that his time is almost up. It’s a point he’s making to liberal Democratic donors to get them to donate generously in this year’s mid-term election.

At a Democratic fundraiser last night in New York City, President Obama said, “I hope you will all step up because, although I’m very optimistic about our long-term trends, the notion that we would waste two years in further inaction rather than move boldly on a path that I think all of us in this room agree on — we don’t have time to waste.”

The president continued, “I don’t have time to waste. The clock is ticking. There’s less than two years left — less than three years left. I want to squeeze every last little bit of work that I can during the remainder of my term so that, looking back, I’m going to be able to say that we left everything on the field and every single person I could help in this office — which is such an incredible privilege — I helped.”

But before that, Obama also took an opportunity in the middle of the fundraiser, to tweak Democrats. “And the fact of the matter is that Democrats are not without our flaws. We have our blind spots and we have our dogmas and we’ve got our crazy folks,” Obama said as the crowd laughed.

“But as a whole, this is a party that is serious about making sure that America is growing and offering opportunity to everybody. And the story many of you here in this room have lived, the success that you’ve lived out, what we’re about is making sure a whole bunch of kids behind us can live out that same success. And if I have just a smidgeon of a cooperative Congress, think what we can do these next two and a half years.”

… A cooperative Congress.

You do realize that he is not just talking about members of his own political party, i.e., Democrats, don’t you?

He is referring to the Vichy Republicans, also.

You know, the professional politicians who believe that if they adopt the Liberal beliefs and goals of the Democrats, then those potential voters, who share the Democrats’ Liberal Beliefs, will then transfer their loyalty to the Republican Party.

PT Barnum was right. There IS a sucker born every minute.

It won’t be Establishment Republicans who will thwart Obama’s plans to “radically change” America. It will be Reagan Conservatives working within and alongside the TEA Party Movement.

Conservatives like Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who told the audience at the annual Conservative Political Action Committee Conference last weekend, that you win by standing on your principles, as pjmedia.com reports:

…Let’s look back at the past four elections, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. The only election we won was 2010, when we stood unequivocally for principle….Who are the most two people who have energized young people? Ronald Reagan and Ron Paul. What did they do? They painted a bold picture of what America can do…. You win elections by standing for principles and believing that there is a better tomorrow.

“How do we inspire people? Number one we tell the truth…. The truth is Washington is corrupt. You are in some of the richest counties in the country. As more and more people make great wealth in Washington, young people, single moms, and small business owners suffer…. Real change is changing the corruption that is here in Washington, D.C.”

Cruz also addressed how President Obama, whom younger Americans propelled into the presidency in 2008, has hurt America’s rising generations.

…Under President Obama, the American Dream is harder to achieve…. If you were to sit down and hammer the living daylights out of young people, you couldn’t do better than the Obama Administration. Obamacare is a massive wealth transfer. And who the heck is going to pay for our national debt?

…We need to stop bankrupting our country. What we’re doing to our kids and grandkids is morally wrong. If we don’t change course, they will be left working to pay off the debts their parents left them with. We need to turn this around.”

Cruz also addressed the need to repeal Obamacare, unleash American energy production, expand school choice and abolish the scandal-plagued IRS.

Another TEA Party Favorite, the Arctic Fox, Sarah Palin, announced yesterday, that she would be continuing her successful endorsement of Conservative Candidates:

As I said in my speech last week in Washington, D.C., America needs bold Constitutional conservative leaders who will fight for us with intelligence and integrity to restore our exceptional nation and preserve the blessings of liberty and prosperity. Time is short. I’m convinced it’s now or never to save our free republic.

So, I’m excited to announce that big U.S. Senate and House of Representatives endorsements are on the way! We’ll tackle some state races, too. Lots of vetting and research goes into these endorsements because this is for YOU. It’s to allow you to take a closer look at good men and women with servants’ hearts who are willing to get in the rough and tumble arena to help save America. Please do your own homework on candidates; never put all your hopes and unattainable expectations in anyone running for office (because humankind’s imperfections aren’t absent in politicians), but know that I’ve been diligent and pragmatic in choosing patriots whom I believe we can trust to do the right thing. I never want to let you down! And you know me well enough by now; you know I do my homework; I use discernment, and then I go with my gut.

These candidates put service over self and principles over politics. They’re not going to D.C. to get cozy with the permanent political class or feather their nests off the crony capitalism running rampant in the swamp. They’re going to Washington to shake things up and restore that endangered species in D.C. – common sense – in an out-of-control government that stomps on the neck of freedom and opportunity. These men and women have promised to be fighters for all that is good about America. They’ll have our back; let’s do our part and watch their backs, too, as we send these reinforcements into the battle.

I’ll roll out endorsements in coming days; I’ll ask you to support the good guys, and we’ll all covet prayers for them and for the great awakening I’m confident our nation is experiencing as people open their eyes to the present harsh reality but also to America’s future positive possibilities as we seek our nation’s good destiny!

Since I began my daily musings in April of 2010, I have always told you that Liberals will tell you whom they fear. That is true for Liberals on both sides of the political aisle.

Unfortunately, since Conservatives handed the GOP the House of Representatives in the Mid-Terms of 2010, the Establishment Republicans have had a rapidly progressing case of amnesia, as regards to whom they owe their phony-baloney jobs to. As I recently wrote, the vast sea of Red you see in Electoral Maps, was responsible for the GOP’s rise to power in 2010.

It can be again, if the Northeastern Republicans’ Club would just shuddup, step aside, and allow the Conservative Base to carry them to victory, once again.

Because if they attempt to nominate squishy  Moderates in the Mid-Term, they will lose any hope of winning the Senate, plus they will lose seats in the House, as well.

Just ask President Romney.

McConnell Disses TEA Party. Palin Blasts Establishment Republicans

Republicans Vs. Tea PartyThe Establishment Republicans seem to have forgotten who presented them with the majority in the House of Representatives in the Mid-Term Elections of 2010.

On Saturday, the New York Times published a report featuring an interview they had with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell,

As conservative activist groups stirred up trouble for establishment Republican Senate candidates in 2010 and 2012, party leaders in Washington first tried to ignore the insurgents, then tried to reason with them, and ultimately left it to primary voters to settle the matter.

But after several of those conservatives — in Nevada, Colorado and Delaware in 2010 and in Indiana and Missouri in 2012 — managed to win their primaries but lose in the general election, party leaders felt stung by what they saw as avoidable defeats.

This election season, Republicans led by Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky are taking a much harder line as they sense the majority within reach. Top congressional Republicans and their allies are challenging the advocacy groups head on in an aggressive effort to undermine their credibility. The goal is to deny them any Senate primary victories, cut into their fund-raising and diminish them as a future force in Republican politics.

“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” Mr. McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, said in an interview, referring to the network of activist organizations working against him and two Republican incumbents in Kansas and Mississippi while engaging in a handful of other contests. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

There McConnell goes, thinking again. Ol’ Mitch sure is an ungrateful old codger, isn’t he?

The TEA party isn’t going anywhere, as exhibited by speeches from Conservatives like Ted Cruz an Sarah Palin at the Conservative Political Action Committee’s Annual Conference this past weekend.

Speaking of the Arctic Fox, she brought the house down, delivering the Keynote speech at CPAC on Saturday afternoon. Nationalreview.com has the story…

Palin delivered the closing remarks at this year’s conference and, in a speech that touched on topics ranging from Obamacare to the Republican establishment to Ted Cruz to the war on women, she brought the audience of approximately 11,000 to its feet repeatedly with the sassiness and attitude that has become her calling card.

“The age of Obama is almost over,” she announced. “This is the end of an error, he is the lamest of lame ducks.”

Palin also launched an assault on the party establishment, which she said is urging Republicans to law low while Obamacare and the president’s feckless foreign policy create problems for Democrats.

“You do interrupt when they are in the process of destroying your country, and that’s what we’re gonna do in 2014,” she said. Audience members interrupted to exclaim, “Run, Sarah, run!” (She garnered just 2 percent in the conference’s annual presidential straw poll.)

Palin’s message to President Obama, who is in the midst of a stand off with Russian president Vladimir Putin over his incursion into Ukraine: ”Mr. President,” she said, “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke.” Then she acknowledged she should be more understanding in the face of the president’s troubles. “After all, who could have seen this one coming?” she quipped, referring to her 2008 prediction that American inaction in the face of Putin’s invasion of Georgia would encourage him to invade Ukraine.

“I love coming back here because there are always so many young people or, as you’re known by the folks across the river, Obamacare suckers,” she said. “Turns out, you have the change that they were waiting for: You have the $5s, the $10s, and the $20s.”

“They said the train of history was roaring to the left,” she said, “but then, something happened. That ‘Hope and Change’ went from a catchy campaign slogan to a reality and along the way, ‘Hope and Change,’ ‘Yes we can,’ it became ‘No You Can’t’: No you can’t log on to the website. No, you can’t keep your health care. No, you can’t make a phone call without Michelle Obama knowing this is the third time you dialed Pizza Hut delivery.”

Pushing back against the Democrats’ claim that the Republican party’s pro-life stance constitutes a war on women, she told the women in today’s audience, of the Democratic party, “Don’t let them use you unless you choose to be their political pawn or just their accessory on their arm. Honey, that’s not liberation, that’s subjugation, and this sisterhood fights against that.”

…Palin, who heads a political action committee dedicated to backing candidates that she supports, and who will host the show “Amazing America” on the Sportsman Channel starting next month, has not backed a 2016 presidential candidate yet, but did give a special shout out to freshman senator Ted Cruz. “Liberty needs a Congress on Cruz control,” she said, praising Cruz’s all-night filibuster and his attempt to defund Obamacare, which she said had helped to wake people up to the horrors of Obamacare.

Palin offered her own version of “Green Eggs and Ham” after offering praise for Cruz, who read the book on the Senate floor during his filibuster against Obamacare last fall.

“I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like this health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books,” she said. The audience laughed and cheered.

“I do not like this spyin’ man, I do not like ‘Oh, yes we can,” she continued. “I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it nope, nope, nope.”

McConnell is a prime example of what is wrong with Washington, DC.

The Establishment Republicans are so out-of-touch with their constituencies, that they actually believe their own press releases, while living in their secluded “Beltway Bubble”..

At a time when the current president is going down in flames, instead of roasting marshmallows over the bonfire, Vichy Republicans, like Mitch McConnell, continue to “reachiacross the aisle” to help save the Prevaricator-in-Chief.

These RINOs are so consumed by their avarice and quest to be just like their Democratic allies, that they have forgotten why they were elected in the first place. If their constituents had wanted to elect Democrats, they would have pulled the lever marked “DEMOCRAT”.

It’s time for McConnell, Maverick, Grahamnesty, Cryin’ John, and the rest of the GOP Elite girly-men to put their big boy pants on, and do the job they were elected to do: work for the betterment of this country, not for its destruction at the hands of Barack Hussein Obama. He’s doing fine with that…all by his lonesome.

If the Vichy Republicans had actually followed in the tradition of Ronald Reagan, and upheld the promises they made during the TEA Party Sweep of 2010, then our country would be in a lot better shape…and, so would their careers as professional politicians.

And, as I’ve said before, if the Vichy Republicans think that the new “Americans”, that they will create by voting for Amnesty, will actually vote for them, replacing us worrisome members of the Conservative Base, I have two bridges over the Mississippi River at Memphis to sell them.

And, in the spirit of the nickname I’ve given them, and the courage they are showing, I will throw in two French Rifles from World War II….dropped once…never fired.

Palin, Abbott, & Nugent: Standing Up For Texas

palinbeigeoutfitabbottted nugentThe Arctic Fox, the Political Kingmaker herself, Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin has put in her two cents worth, concerning the important political races going on in the Lone Star State.

She posted the following on her Facebook Page, yesterday:

Texas, it starts with you!

2014 is here. The choices are becoming clearer, and the battle lines are being drawn. The GOP Beltway crowd has convinced itself that the way to maintain or retake the majority is through compromise and capitulation on important issues like amnesty, Obamacare, and the ever-increasing federal debt. They think that by making deals with a deeply unpopular and divisive incumbent president on issues that Americans oppose, they’ll somehow endear themselves to voters.

Enough is enough. The permanent political class in D.C. won’t listen. So, let’s start putting our efforts behind good new candidates who will go to Washington not to line their own pockets, but to help restore our country. It’s time to put inspiration, ingenuity, and integrity over incumbency in the GOP.

Let’s start in Texas. The lines couldn’t be clearer. Katrina Pierson is an emerging leader and important voice for the future of the grassroots conservative movement. Her life’s story is full of hardships she has fought to overcome, which taught her firsthand the importance of self-reliance, hard work, and the blessings of liberty.

A feisty fighter for freedom, Katrina is taking on a powerful incumbent who has so lost touch with the people of his district that he’s not even bothering to spend much time in Texas anymore. It’s not only his district he’s lost touch with, but also the issues important to the voters there. He used his powerful position to oppose the movement to defund Obamacare, has voted to raise the debt ceiling, and has been an advocate for the NSA intrusion into our freedoms. When asked about Katrina’s primary challenge, he said, “these things happen.” Yes, they do. We all know what happens when we come together to support a good candidate like Katrina – the permanent political class loses and We the People win! We win by electing a fighter we can depend on like Katrina Pierson. Ted Cruz calls Katrina “an utterly fearless principled conservative.” He should know. Katrina was among the conservative grassroots warriors in Texas who worked tirelessly to elect Senator Cruz.

Early voting started yesterday, Texas. Get out now and vote for Katrina. Send a message to the GOP elites on behalf of Katrina, just like you did for Ted Cruz in 2012.

And while you are out there voting for Katrina, check the box for another good conservative – Greg Abbott for Governor of Texas. Like Katrina, Greg has overcome many personal obstacles and challenges, which have made him a believer in the power of liberty and the need to defend our freedoms from the overreach of an out-of-control federal government. If he is good enough for Ted Nugent, he is good enough for me!

What does The Motor City Madman have to do with Greg Abbott, you ask? Well, besides the fact that they are both Great American Conservatives, Uncle Ted appeared with Texas Attorney General and Gubernatorial Candidate Abbott the other day, where, per usual, he spoke his mind…and got Liberals’ knickers in a twist…giving them an excuse for their usual outrageous outrage…as politico.com reports…

Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott says Ted Nugent is accompanying him on the trail to expose Wendy Davis’s weakness on gun rights.

Abbott, who has come under fire for campaigning with the controversial rocker, told reporters at an event in North Texas on Tuesday that his opponent was “suffering” for her views on the Second Amendment, and that Nugent would help voters see her as a flip-flopper. He also said Davis’s association with President Barack Obama was a bigger turn-off to Texans than his sharing the stage with Nugent.

“Sen. Davis knows she is suffering with voters because of her flipping and flopping on 2nd Amendment gun laws, and she knows that Ted Nugent calls her out on her disregard for Second Amendment rights,” Abbott said, according to a Dallas Morning News report. “We are going to expose Sen. Davis’s weaknesses on the Second Amendment and show that in this area and in so many other areas, she represents the liberalism of Barack Obama that is so bad for Texas.”

Davis has said she would support an “open carry” law in Texas, expanding current gun laws to match Abbott’s views.

Nugent is an outspoken gun rights advocate, who once suggested he would either be “dead or in jail” if Obama were reelected in 2012. He has come under sharp criticism for once calling Obama a “subhuman mongrel.”

Speaking at a campaign event, Nugent introduced Abbott as his “friend” and “blood brother,” as well as “the epitome of what our founding fathers wanted as a representative,” according to the San Antonio Express.

“We don’t have to question Greg Abbott’s courage — because he invited me here today,” he said.

The Liberal Elite are always offended when an American Conservative “speaks the truth and shames the Devil”.

And, with them running such a political lightweight as Wendy Davis in Texas as their Gubernatorial Candidate, they realize that they are going to have to pull out all the stops, including going Full Alinsky, by initiating Rule #12 from “Rules for Radicals” :

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

By targeting Ted Nugent, the Liberal Elite are trying to put pressure on Abbott to apologize for the “harsh” words of the Heavy Metal Icon.

Evidently, the Democrats think that the Attorney General will roll over like a puppy who wants his belly rubbed, a la John Boehner and the rest of the Vichy Republicans, up in the Beltway.

To use a Southern idiom, since Greg Abbott is a Son of Dixie, as am I, the Liberal Elite are as goofy as a pet ‘coon, if they think that the Texas Attorney General is going to sacrifice Fellow Conservative Ted Nugent, to the Gods of Liberal Propaganda.

They keep this smear campaign up and the Republican Gubernatorial Candidate will soon remind those “Nattering Nabobs of Negativity” why

You Don’t Mess With Texas.

Vichy Republicans: “Leave Hillary Alone!”

Hillary Ramirez CartoonOn Monday, the Republican Establishment, or, as I have dubbed them, the Vichy Republicans, tried to get out in front of the upcoming battle for the Republican Presidential Candidate Nomination and the Presidential Election of 2016 itself, by hitting the talk show circuit to declare that the top Democrat Contender for the Presidential Candidate Nomination, Former First Lady, New York Senator, and Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton’s past is not to be brought up by any Republicans…except to challenge her record as Secretary of State.

Heck , they even trotted out “Mr. Nice Guy” and 2012 Presidential Election Loser Mitt Romney, to drive their point home about being “civil” toward Hillary.

What is the NE Moderate Republicans’ Club thinking? Do they want to lose to the Democrats…again? There are no Marquis of Kingsbury Rules in politics. Just as in any competition, you do not win by being a wuss. You suck it up and COMPETE. You give it your best shot. You give as good as you get.

These Vichy Republicans seem to live in their own little, isolated Beltway Bubble.

Quite frankly, if they do not want to fight for the most powerful Governmental Office in the World, they do not deserve to win the presidency

The past of the Clintons is heavily documented, and easily brought to the public eye. For example…

The following information is quoted from an article posted on AmericanThinker.com on 9/15/13, written by Clarice Feldman

…Hillary came to public attention with her graduation speech at Wellesley College.

She was chosen for this honor not because of grades or character or service to that community but because her influential roommate threatened a strike if she were not allowed to speak. Once the school caved to this demand, Hillary — who just two years earlier supported Senator Edward Brooke, the first black American to be elected to the Senate — hurled a vicious attack on him.. The charges were hurtful to him and without substance.

From Wellesley she went to Yale law school after which she moved to Washington, D.C. to take a job with the House Judiciary Committee investigating Watergate. She was fired from her job and from that point on distinguished herself as a public master of mendacity.

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of the 27-year-old, fired her, and has explained why:

…”Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

At about the same time, Hillary failed the District of Columbia bar exam, hardly one of the more difficult bar exams in the country.

…In 1978 she turned a $1,000 cattle commodity trading account into $6,300 overnight and within 10 months into a $100,000 profit. While she first lied and claimed she learned how to make this incredible investment profit in the riskiest of endeavors by educating herself on commodity futures, in fact she was the beneficiary of preferred treatment by an Arkansan when her husband was Arkansas attorney general and slated to become that state’s governor, when in other words Bill was a person in a position to provide favors in return.

…She regularly covered up her husband’s misogynistic attacks on women, apparently accepted without protest his nuts and sluts defenses, and no one did a better job than she when pretty in pastel green and with a nice girlish headband she stood by her man while incongruously insisting she was no Tammy Wynette.

…Hillary’s corruption and preposterous lies continued into the White House. Special prosecutors investigating an apparently corrupt loan and land development deal had conducted subpoena searches for Hillary’s law billing records which she claimed had gone missing.

…they were suddenly turned over to the prosecutors by a White House aide, Carolyn Huber. Mrs. Huber said she had found them on a table in a room in the White House living quarters last August and put them in a box, then had realized this month that they were the records that had been subpoenaed.

Hillary became the first First Lady to have to testify to a federal grand jury. In the end she wasn’t indicted in the Whitewater scandal, in part quite obviously because of the unlikelihood that an overwhelmingly Democratic jury in the District of Columbia would ever convict her. What difference does it make? Someone who so obviously lied to escape criminal jeopardy would drive confidence in the fairness and honesty even lower than Obama has and a society in which the leaders are held in such disregard is a vastly weaker one in every respect.

…From the beginning of the Whitewater controversy, Hillary Clinton has maintained a public posture seemingly at odds with her actions. She was reluctant to release records during the 1992 campaign. She fought David Gergen’s recommendation to turn over all the records in 1993. She led White House opposition to the appointment of a special counsel in early 1994.

…In 1993 she made serious but untrue allegations about pharmaceutical companies gouging providers on children’s’ vaccines.

…Based on Hillary Clinton’s proclamation of a nonexistent crisis, Congress had been stampeded into passing unnecessary legislation. And even though the worst features of the administration plan had been dropped, the country was still stuck with a program that was more costly, cumbersome and wasteful than the one it replaced. What’s more, the alarming statistics Hillary had cited on the rise in prices of prescription drugs were another myth. It turned out that the Labor Department statisticians had gotten the numbers wrong.

…Only short sellers profited, among them a private hedge fund called ValuePartners I, run by Smith Capital Management of Little Rock, Arkansas. Hillary Clinton held an $87,000 stake in Value Partners I, which also owned a block of stock in United Healthcare, an HMO that stood to benefit under the Clinton reform plan. Lois Quam, a United Healthcare vice president, was a member of the task force.

Unlike the Carters, Bushes and Reagans, the Clintons failed to put their assets into a blind trust when they moved into the White House. Hillary resisted the notion that her financial affairs were anybody’s business but her own, and she reasoned that since she was not a government employee and the money was in her name, she didn’t have to resort to a trust.

…At the same time she barreled through that loser her husband drafted her to head a Task Force to draft new health legislation, Her clumsy handling of the Task Force certainly added to the opposition to this wonk wet dream and by 1994 it was dead.

…As Secretary of State, Hillary proved even a bigger disaster to the country.

She, who had failed to provide the begged-for security to our ambassador and officials in Benghazi and who seems to have done nothing but participate in the bald-faced lies about the murderers and their motive was, in fact, the author of the Red Line dare that has plunged Obama into a Syrian disaster.

The red line was not a gaffe it was the considered policy of the United States. This, if anything, makes the whole incident more egregious as the nation was consciously committed to acting militarily (see Clinton’s statement about “contingencies” and “response”) in case of chemical weapons use in Syria and yet it is obvious no planning was ever accomplished in anticipation of such an event. Yet another blunder by the administration comes home to roost.

…Syria is just the last gasp of the Clinton Arab Spring idiocy and [Obama’s] promise of a gentle tap with just a few hardly noticeable Tomahawks was just a continuation of the soft power idiocy promulgated by Clinton and her shrews. The same crew are wholly responsible for the Benghazi fiasco where Clinton’s denial of funding for adequate security led to [Gaddafi’s] arms stockpiles drifting into unkind and uncaring hands.

If the Republican Establishment shafts those of us in the Conservative Base, once again, and rams through a “Moderate” Nominee, will the Conservative Base expend our energy to try to drag their sorry hindquarters over the Finish Line, as Sarah Palin attempted to drag John McCain’s? Or, will Conservatives, handcuffed by the admonition to “play nice” and marginalized by the Vichy Republicans, just say, “Fuhgeddaboutit!” and leave the GOP high and dry…to lose the presidency by an even greater margin than ever before?

It’s time for the Vichy Republicans to wake up and smell what they’re shoveling….before they’re covered in it.

Vichy Republicans Vote to Raise Debt Ceiling… and Shaft Conservative Base

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600In the Mid-Term Elections of 2010, Conservative American Voters put our trust in the Republican Party, who like the snake who appeared to Eve, promised TEA Party members nationwide, that if Conservatives sent them to Washington, they would represent us, and vote to limit Obama and the Democrats’ dreams of Unlimited Governmental Control of our everyday lives and uphold the Constitutional, Conservative vision of limited Government championed by the Grassroots Movement.

They lied.

The first thing that Republicans did, was to elect sniveling, spineless Vichy Republican John Boehner, the Speaker of the House.

From that moment on, the Grand Old Party en masse, except for a few notable exceptions, have continued their slide toward becoming a perfect replica of the political party whom they are supposed to be opposing.

The insistence by the Northeast Republicans Club, or Vichy Republicans, toward Moderate Mediocrity, has cost them the last two Presidential Elections, and could cause them the upcoming 2014 Mid -Term Elections, as well.

On Tuesday, this hardly august group continued their alienation of their Conservative Base.

Fox News relates the whole, sorry story…

The House voted Tuesday to raise the government’s borrowing limit, as GOP leaders backed down from a potential confrontation with Democrats by declining to seek any concessions in exchange for the increase.

The debt-ceiling bill passed on a 221-201 vote, and now goes to the Senate for final approval.

The vote comes after Republican leaders backed off their strategy of trying to use the debt limit to force spending cuts or other concessions. In 2011, President Obama yielded to similar demands but has since said he would not negotiate with Republicans over the matter.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, swiftly teed up the vote Tuesday after failing to get enough conservative support for a plan that would have tied the debt ceiling measure to one reversing cuts to military pensions. Another failed proposal had tied the debt cap hike to the Keystone pipeline.

The House, as part of a separate bill, nevertheless voted Tuesday to restore full cost of living increases to pension benefits for younger military retirees. The final vote was 326-90.

But Boehner’s decision to move ahead on the debt-ceiling legislation without any concessions signals a potentially new approach on these so-called must-pass bills. His party was bruised last year after Republicans tried to extract changes to ObamaCare as part of a budget bill, resulting in a partial government shutdown that lasted until Boehner finally called a relatively clean budget bill to the floor — which passed on mostly Democratic votes.

The vote Tuesday followed the same pattern. Boehner relied on mostly Democrats to bring the bill over the finish line 193 Democrats voted for the bill, while just 28 Republicans did the same. Boehner and other GOP leaders were among those who voted yes.

Boehner announced before the vote that that was the strategy. “We’ll let the Democrats put the votes up. We’ll put a minimum number of (GOP) votes up to get it passed,” Boehner said. “We’ll let his party give him the debt ceiling increase that he wants.”

But the vote caused consternation among conservative groups that have pushed Congress — and particularly Tea Party-aligned lawmakers they helped elect — to rein in deficit spending, in part by extracting spending cuts wherever possible.

“A clean debt ceiling is a complete capitulation on the Speaker’s part and demonstrates that he has lost the ability to lead the House of Representatives, let alone his own party,” Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, said in a statement.

The measure approved by the House does not raise the debt limit by a set amount but does suspend it through March 15, 2015.

One of those notable exceptions whom I alluded to earlier, is Texas Senator Ted Cruz, a Reagan Conservative and an American Patriot. After the traitorous vote on Tuesday, Cruz issued the following statement:

Today’s vote is yet another example that establishment politicians from both parties are simply not listening to the American people. Outside the beltway, Americans of all political stripes understand that we cannot keep spending money we don’t have.

Some members of Congress care so much about being praised by the Washington media that they’re willing to mortgage our children’s future. They pretend we don’t have a problem and can just kick the can down the road.

Let’s be clear about the motive behind this vote — there are too many members of Congress who think they can fool people and they will forget about it the next week. But sometimes, come November, the people remember.

Being an American by Birth, and Southern by the Grace of God, my favorite play of all time is “Lil’ Abner”. One of my favorite scenes in the movie they made of it, which starred Petter Palmer as Abner, Stubby Kaye as Marryin’ Sam, and the great Billie Hayes as Mammy Yoakum, was when Senator Fogbound (what a great name) holds a meeting with the townsfolk of Dogpatch, to tell them that they had to evacuate, due to an upcoming “A-tomic” Bomb Test.

Sen. Fogbound: I know y’all have been wondering what I have been doing up there in Washington on your behalf.

Mammy Yoakum: We didn’t care…as long as you wuz up there…and we wuz down here!

That was 1959…before the Cuban Missile Crisis, before Vietnam…before Ithe Munich Olympics…before the Iranian Hostage Crisis…AND, before President Barack Hussein Obama.

It was a more innocent time, when, even as horribly self-serving as the worst of our Senators and Congressmen were, we knew that they still were answerable to their respective constituencies. Unfortunately, in 2014, we cannot afford that naivete anymore. Our “so-called” Congressional  Representatives, the before-mentioned Vichy Republicans, do not care what we think, because they, like their fellow Progressives on the other side of the aisle, believe that they know what is best for us…and what will save their phony baloney jobs.

However, they are wrong…and Senator Cruz is right:

COME NOVEMBER…AMERICANS WILL REMEMBER.

Palin Has 70% Favorability Rating Among Republican Voters. Libs Fear Arctic Fox.

pailinbiggulp2I remember the first time I heard anything about Sarah Palin.

I was listening to Glenn Beck, who was talking about possible running mates for the less-than-appealing old codger, John “Maverick” McCain. He started describing the very real possibility that the Republicans were actually going to choose a woman to run as their Vice-Presidential Candidate. I immediately thought to myself, “Self…this chick had best be someone spectacular to liven up this upcoming ‘Campaign of the Walking Dead’.”

And…she was.

From the moment Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was announced, she became a shimmering star in in an otherwise dark and dull Republican Presidential Campaign. Her infectious smile, quick wit, and down-home common sense way of speaking to the hearts of those of us living here in America’s Heartland, (“Flyover Country” to you Liberal snots, on both sides of the aisle, living in the Northeast and the Left Coast) endeared her to average Americans, who could not relate to the professional politicians ensconced in the Halls of Power in Washington, DC.

We watched, with smiles on our faces as she stopped her Campaign Bus, to run into Walmart to get diapers for Trig, her special baby.

She was approachable. She was one of us.

We cheered her on, as she made “Uncle Joe” Biden look like the buffoon he is, during their debates.

And, we watched as she grew in national recognition, while fending off the relentless, unscrupulous attacks by Democrat Operatives, including the Main Stream Media, and late night talk show hosts, such as those two old pervs, Bill Maher and David Letterman.

We even had to witness McCain’s own Election Staff turn against her, as her popularity eclipsed Maverick’s, ruffling the feathers of the GOP Establishment, whom I lovingly refer to as the “Vichy Republicans”.

After all her efforts to drag McCain’s sorry carcass over the finish line failed, instead of fading away in obscurity, she became ever more nationally-recognized than before, becoming both a Political Pundit and a King-maker.

Wherever she speaks, she is met by huge crowds, unlike Obama, who has to hold invitation-only events, so that he does not get booed off the stage.

Her magnificent speech at last year’s CPAC Conference set the stage for her re-entry into politics, after a short time away, and set Conservative hearts on fire, including mine.

Allow me to relate a seminal moment from that speech, which has become an instant Sarah Palin Classic:

She was bringing up some spot-on political points, when, all of the sudden, she got a mischievous smile on her face and began telling the audience how Todd gave her a wonderful gift the Christmas before last: a gun rack for her ATV. She talked about how cool it was, and then told the crowd that, for this Christmas, she gave Todd a new hunting rifle. She quipped,

Yep, Todd got the rifle and I got the rack.

As the stunned audience quickly broke out in thunderous laughter and applause, Sarah stood there, grinning like the Cheshire Cat, while, at the same time, reaching under the podium to retrieve a 44-ounce Super Big Gulp Diet Coke, in a dig against NYC Mayor Bloomberg’s baning of large soft drinks. She slowly sipped it, still grinning, then holding it over her head , imitating Lady Liberty holding her torch. The picture of this wonderful moment immediately went viral, much to the chagrin of Liberals, on both sides of the political aisle, whose heads, of course, exploded, like balloons which have blown up beyond their usefulness.

Indeed, as much as the Democrats and Vichy Republicans want Sarah Palin to fade away into obscurity, the Arctic Fox is not going anywhere. And, because of that, their attacks are as relentless as ever.

Liberals, on both sides of the political aisle, will tell you whom they fear.

In fact, in their Crony Capitalistic Hearts, they are very afraid…and, with good reason. Check out this story, which ran on newsmax.com on Thursday:

Republicans rate Sarah Palin higher than every potential 2016 presidential contender, even though she is not even considered to be in the running, a new poll has found.

A Public Policy Polling survey conducted Jan. 23-26 showed that the former governor of Alaska has a 70 percent favorability rating among GOP primary voters, topping six other potential candidates in the poll, even though her name was not on the list of 2016 GOP candidates to choose from.

“The best-liked person we tested on this poll with Republican primary voters is actually Sarah Palin,” the poll noted.

In the survey of 845 registered voters, including 457 Republican primary voters, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee tops the list of possible presidential contenders, with a favorability rating of 64 percent. Fifty-eight percent of respondents have a positive view of both Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, the former 2012 vice presidential nominee.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has a 56 percent favorability rating, and 45 percent of respondents view Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in a positive light. Embattled New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie comes in last with a 40 percent favorability rating.

Huckabee, the former 2008 presidential candidate who won the Iowa caucuses, was chosen as the most preferred candidate to get the GOP nomination from a crowded field of nine other possible rivals.

The results suggest that little has come from his recent controversial remarks about women.

If Governor Palin were to entertain the idea of throwing her hat into the Political Ring once again, the Democrats and the Democrat-Lite Vichy Republicans, would once again attack her with a savagery, not unlike like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber fighting over a bong hit.

There is a Culture War, which has been going on in our country for a while now, between the Republican Establishment up in the Northeast, and Conservative Americans, living in the Heartland.

What sticks in my craw is the hubris involved. Now, I have several dear Conservative friends in the NE, heck, my bride is from MI, moved down to MS 30+ years ago and used to do reenactments on the Confederate side.

That being said, the “Northeast Republicans Club’s” standard, as exemplified by their last Convention, the subsequent Presidential Candidate Nomination of Mitt Romney, and their ever-escalating embrace of Liberal Political Ideology, is to look down their noses at the rest of the country, as if we are a bunch of hicks, because we still believe in Reagan Conservatism.

They view Sarah the same way. They believe that anyone who is not from Hahvahd, some other Ivy League School, or, their region of the country, is a stupid bumpkin.

I suggest that they leave the Northeast sometime and travel throughout the Heartland of this great country.

They might learn a thing or two about Conservatism.

I, along with Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and the majority of average Americans, here in “Flyover Country”,remain Reagan Conservatives…and, are proud of it.

If the Vichy Republicans ignore the millions of Americans, who compose their Conservative Base, they will never win another Presidential Election.

Count on it.

From Reagan to Rubio: The Wussification of the Republican Party

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600I started this Blog back in April of 2010 as a way of venting my frustration with what I saw happening in the greatest country on God’s Green Earth.

I could not believe what was going on around me. The American People had elected an incompetent, pompous, didactic, divisive, self-involved, Marxist idiot to the most important position in the world: the Presidency of the United States.

The Federal Government, under the leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, and his partners in crime, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, was headed down the road to full-blown socialism, faster than Rosie O’Donnell heading to Golden Corral.

Gradually, from seemingly out of nowhere, a movement began. It wasn’t a Liberal “Astroturf” movement…it was a groundswell, started by average Americans, who were fed up with being over-taxed and under-represented by the people whom they had elected and sent to Washington to SERVE THEM.

As the movement began to take place, it was clear that this was a CONSERVATIVE movement…and a PATRIOTIC one…as they took the name “TEA Party” which stood for “Taxed Enough Already”. Just as the Colonials, who revolted against the King of England, these Americans were, and still are, fighting against “TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION”.

I remain proud of these Americans. As a fellow Conservative and TEA Party Supporter, they remind me of the Republican Party of my young adulthood, when, in November of 1980, at the age of 21 and 11 months, I cast my very first vote for the greatest President of my generation, Ronald Wilson Reagan. The TEA Party reminds me of the way Republicans, led by Ronaldus Magnus, were back then: plain-spoken, good-humored, honest-to-a-fault, servants of the people, whom you were just as likely to find at St. Peter’s Orphanage’s Annual Picnic in Memphis, TN, as you were at the New York Metropolitan Opera.

In fact, I and my fiancee sent a wedding invitation to President and Mrs. Reagan, and got back and official congratulations card, signed by them, from the Office of Protocol.

The Obamas think “class” is something they skipped to go “choom”.

But, I digress…

The blemish on Reagan’s record that Liberals from both sides of the aisle, are bring up right now, is his passage of a law granting Amnesty to illegal aliens.

Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act in 1986 because he strongly believed that it was time to gain control of U.S. borders and to enforce legal hiring at workplaces.

The amnesty of 3 million illegal immigrants that came with it was relatively small, and never would have resulted in 11 million new immigrants in the decades that followed had the rest of the law’s requirements been fulfilled by Congress.

Of course, they weren’t.

According to Reagan Attorney General Ed Meese, amnesty was in fact Reagan’s biggest regret, per a story in the Heritage Times, because he, like the people who supported him, believed in the rule of law.

As the halcyon days of the Reagan Administration passed by, and time moved on, the Republican Party slowly, but surely, began to distance themselves from us rubes living out here in America’s Heartland, otherwise known as “Flyover Country”.

And, as they became more isolated from the people they were supposed to be serving, they started losing elections. Sure, Dubya was elected for two terms (Thank God.), but, can you imagine either Al Gore or John Kerry as President? Without throwing up, that is?

With the election of Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm), and with the Democrats controlling both the House and Senate, this nation was taken on a madcap plunge toward socialism faster than Elvis going down the last hill on the Zippin Pippin at the old Mid-South Fairgrounds.

And then, Americans stood up on their hind legs and started the TEA Party Movement.

Obama and the Democrats, and the Status Quo-loving Establishment Republicans, could not believe their eyes. “What was this mess? How dare these sheep break away from the flock!”

While Obama and the Democrats attacked us every which-way they could think us, accusing us of RAAACIIISM, carrying guns to rallies, etc., the “Moderate” Republicans, played it very cagey. They used the TEA Party during the months leading up to the 2010 Mid-terms, to get themselves elected, and win back the House of Representatives, on the promise that they would govern “Conservatively”.

Allow me to pause for a moment and say this: I am not speaking about actual Reagan Conservatives and TEA Party Members like Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and sometimes, Rand Paul. I am speaking of those Vichy Republicans, like John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, and Marco Rubio, who should just switch parties, and get it over with.

In the two years since the TEA Party propelled them to victory in the Mid-terms, the Establishment Republicans, who rode our coat tails back to the Halls of Power, have increasingly treated us badly, at first, shunning Conservatives like we were red-headed step-children, and now, insulting and degrading us like we are lepers…or their enemy.

And now, with Obama failing miserably, tanking in every single Popularity Poll, making about as much sense as a punch-drunk boxer, the Republicans appear ready to commit mass seppuku (hari kari), as I wrote yesterday, “snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory”  by pushing for Amnesty for illegal aliens, in order to supply their Big Money Donors, in the US Chamber of Commerce, with cheap labor.

In fact, that’s not the only issue that the Vichy Republicans are wussing out on…and it has Senator Ted Cruz worried, as he told Breitbart.com:

Cruz questioned how establishment Republicans unilaterally caving to Democrats on everything from the farm bill to the budget to the debt ceiling and more could think amnesty is a good idea at this time.

“Right now, Republican leadership in both chambers is aggressively urging members to stand down on virtually every front: on the continuing resolution, on the budget, on the farm bill, on the debt ceiling,” Cruz said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News on Thursday.

He continued:

They may or may not be right, but their argument is that we should focus exclusively on Obamacare and on jobs. In that context, why on earth would the House dive into immigration right now? It makes no sense, unless you’re Harry Reid. Republicans are poised for an historic election this fall–a conservative tidal wave much like 2010. The biggest thing we could do to mess that up would be if the House passed an amnesty bill–or any bill perceived as an amnesty bill–that demoralized voters going into November. Rather than responding to the big-money lobbying on K Street, we need to make sure working-class Americans show up by the millions to reject Obamacare and vote out the Democrats. Amnesty will ensure they stay home.

Cruz added that granting amnesty now–while wrong in his opinion at any time–would ensure Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid remains in his position in after the 2014 elections.

“Amnesty is wrong in any circumstance, and if we are going to fix our broken immigration system–and we should–it makes much more sense to do so next year, so that we are negotiating a responsible solution with a Republican Senate majority rather than with Chuck Schumer,” Cruz said. “Anyone pushing an amnesty bill right now should go ahead and put a ‘Harry Reid for Majority Leader’ bumper sticker on their car, because that will be the likely effect if Republicans refuse to listen to the American people and foolishly change the subject from Obamacare to amnesty.”

I wish we had a Senate full of Ted Cruzs and Mike Lees.

Ronald Reagan once quipped,

The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.

Evidently, that applies to Vichy Republicans, as well.

Amnesty and the 2014 Mid-terms: Republicans Ready to Snatch Defeat From the Jaws of Victory

Republican AmnestyYesterday morning, after witnessing, along with the rest of the nation, the worst and least-watched State of the Union Address in Presidential History, I had a smile on my face, believing that the Republicans were going to win back the Senate in a Political Tsunami of a Mid-term Election later this year.

And then, Former Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan had to open his big, naive, Crony Capitalist mouth, and remind me why I came up with the term “Vichy Republicans”.

He told Chuck Todd on MSNBC that the outline would include border security, work authorization, and legal status by way of a “probationary status,” but that it would not have a “special pathway” to citizenship, as in the Senate immigration bill. In 2013, Ryan was a supporter of a bill that includes strong border security and citizenship provisions. But as House Republicans prepare to release a new, narrower proposal that they hope has a better chance of passage, Ryan seemed to step back from his previous support for reform, suggesting that something like the Senate bill would be “amnesty.”

During his interview, Ryan said that undocumented immigrants would be given a “probationary” status that would allow them to work at the same time that the border is being secured. After they satisfy rigorous pre-conditions of a probationary period including paying fines and learning English, they can then apply for “regular work permits.” Eventually some immigrants can apply for lawful permanent residence after getting into the back of the line behind legal immigrants “who did things right in the first place.”

The Vichy Republicans are not pushing Amnesty to gain new voters (As we say in Dixie, “They’re stupid, but they ain’t ig’nant”.); they’re pushing Amnesty to make their Big Money Donors in the US Chamber of Commerce happy, by supplying them with cheap labor.

Yes, boys and girls, both the Republicans and the US Chamber of Commerce have sold us hard-working Americans out…to make an extra buck or two.

And now, the Chamber wants to try to convince Evangelicals that rewarding those who have broken our laws is the “Christian thing to do.”

Last Friday, Bloomberg.com reported that

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is wooing religious groups to overcome opposition of conservative lawmakers to immigration-law revisions as Congress is poised to consider the issue.

“The left has never been the problem on this,” Randel Johnson, the chamber’s senior vice president for labor and immigration issues, said today at an event in Washington. “The right is the problem.”

The chamber, the largest U.S. business-lobbying group, and President Barack Obama’s administration are seeking to rewrite immigration laws, which they say limits access to workers. House Republicans say they will take up the issue this year after declining to consider a Senate-passed bill last year.

Johnson said Tea Party-backed candidates and Republicans aren’t the chief obstacles to change.

“This issue doesn’t divide by the so-called Tea Party or non-Tea Party members,” he said, adding that the chamber has had more than 150 meetings with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill to discuss the issue.

Evangelical groups’ support can help win over conservatives, Johnson said. In November, the Southern Baptist Convention and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops joined the chamber in urging Congress to act on the issue.

The event co-sponsored by the chamber featured former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder — both Republicans — and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, founder and majority owner of Bloomberg News parent Bloomberg LP.

“The reality is without immigration our workforce down the road doesn’t grow,” Gutierrez said. “And if our workforce doesn’t grow, our economy doesn’t grow.”

Here’s an idea, Former Secretary Guiterrez: How about employing those Americans who do not have a job, including our Veterans?

The great Michelle Malkin once wrote about the days of the Great Melting Pot, where hard-working people from other countries, came to our shores seeking a better life. However, they decided to enter through Ellis Island and other checkpoints…legally. Once they gained their citizenship, they assimilated in American Culture, becoming loyal American Citizens.

Those principles have been abandoned, scorned, and sabotaged. You have not heard an iota about them from Washington. It is the erosion of Americanization and the ascendancy of the collectivists that helped create the conditions for Election Day.

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for even greater GOP losses at at the ballot box.

Amnesty instead of assimilation is a recipe for the furtherance of American decline.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

A wide-open Southern Border is as big a threat to the sovereignty of the United States as anything that our enemies can throw at us right now.  Republicans in the House and Senate, and in the Halls of Power in Washington, need to quit playing political games.  The safety of America is at stake .

The Democrats promised that the border would be secured, if Reagan signed off on Amnesty in 1986, and did not keep their end of the bargain.  GOP, what makes you believe that you can trust them in 2012?

And, US Chamber of Commerce Leadership…you should be ashamed of yourselves.  Capitalism is one thing. Putting our nation at risk for the promise of cheap labor is another.

SECURE THE BORDER NOW.

P.S. I’m will not “evolve” on this subject. While I am striving to be a better Christian man every day, God loves me just the way I am.

Have Illegal Aliens “Earned” Anything At all, Except a Trip Back to Mexico?

obamaillegalimmigrationThe last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform wrangled with that hot topic for six years. President Clinton appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

I wonder what she would think about this?

The New York Times reports that…

House Republicans are preparing to unveil their own broad template for overhauling the nation’s immigration system this week, potentially offering a small opening for President Obama and congressional Democrats to pass bipartisan legislation before the end of the year.

Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio and other Republican leaders are expected to release a one-page statement of immigration principles this week at their annual retreat in Cambridge, Md., according to aides with knowledge of the plan. The document is expected to call for border security and enforcement measures, as well as providing a path to legal status — but not citizenship — for many of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country, the aides said.

The Republican effort comes as Mr. Obama is expected to push once again for an overhaul of the immigration system in his State of the Union address Tuesday, and as lawmakers from both parties describe immigration as one of the few potential areas for bipartisan compromise before the end of the current Congress.

“The principles they lay out I’m sure won’t satisfy everybody,” Michael R. Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, said at an immigration forum on Friday. But, he added, “if we can make some compromises here for the good of the country, I think we have a very good chance for the first time in a long time of changing something that is really damaging all of us.”

The Senate, led by Democrats, passed a broad bipartisan measure in June to overhaul immigration that included a 13-year path to citizenship. But the legislation stalled in the Republican-controlled House, where some of the party’s more conservative members oppose any form of legal status as “amnesty.”

But heading into the three-day Republican retreat, even some of the most ardent conservatives say consensus is forming around an immigration package that would include several separate bills on border security; a clampdown against the hiring of undocumented workers; expanded guest-worker programs; a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children; and a path to legal status for undocumented workers with family ties to citizens or employer sponsors.

The White House has said it wants a path to citizenship for both children and adults in any new immigration legislation.

If you believe the Vichy Republicans have lost their collective mind, you ain’t heard nothin’ yet…

Speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”

“An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” said Johnson, in what he remarked was one of his first public speeches since being confirmed as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief in December.

“It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,” he said, “to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.”

“Earned it”? Allow me to explain the fallacy of your argument to you, Secretary Johnson…

Let’s pretend I broke into your house.  When you discover me there, you insist I leave.  But I say, “I’ve made all the beds, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and cleaned the floors; I’ve done all the work you don’t like to do. I’m hardworking and honest (except for breaking into your house). Not only must you let me stay, you must also add me to your insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide these benefits to my husband, too (he will do your yardwork, he’s honest and hardworking too–except for that breaking in part). If you try to force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house and proclaim my right to be there! It’s only fair, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m trying to better myself. I’m hardworking and honest…except for, well, you know. I will live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness and prejudice.

Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Good plan..don’t you think?

Is this a behavior we should be rewarding?

What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, they are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens.

And, yet, even as I write this, they are in our hospitals, taking advantage of our charity and the finest health care system in the world, and driving our streets, with either forged drivers licenses or those obtained from states who have acquiesced and given them to these “undocumented workers”.

This is in no way a human rights issue. Freedom is God-given, and with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way.

My concerns about this whole “Path to Citizenship” business, can be divded into three bullet points. (Hey, I’m a VP of Marketing. What do you expect?)

1. Patriotism – Will these new “citizens” be willing to fly our flag above theirs? Will they be willing, if called upon, to serve in our Armed Forces, at home or abroad? Will they love this country, more than the one they left?

2. Loyalty – When these “new Americans” achieve the right to vote, are they all going to vote Democrat, so that they can receive more FREE STUFF? Is the Republican Party shooting themselves in both feet by pushing an outcome which will simply add new Democratic Voters? As I asked in the first point, will they honestly embrace our sovereign nation as their new home? Or, will they remain loyal to Mexico?

3.  Immigration – Are we rewarding illegal behavior, while at the same time, insulting all of the brave souls who have come here legally, seeking a better life for themselves and their families?

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children.  We are all immigrants in this land, except for American Indians, and they got here by crossing the Bering Straight.  But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

So, let’s take this one step at a time.  Secure our borders.  Enforce the anti-illegal immigration laws.  And if the Federal Government won’t, the states, like Arizona, will have to pass their own laws.  America became a great nation because it is a melting pot of American-born and legally-immigrated citizens with a shared allegiance, not a multi-cultural United Nations with everyone loyal to their home country.

A wide-open Southern Border is as big a threat to the sovereignty of the United States as anything that our enemies can throw at us right now.  All of OUR SERVANTS, up on Capitol HIll, need to quit playing political games.  The safety of America is at stake .  SECURE THE BORDER NOW.

Are New Jersey’s “Governor Zeppelin’s” Presidential Aspirations Going Down in Flames? Oh, The Humanity!

Chris Christie CartoonNew Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the Keynote Speaker of last year’s Republican Convention, finds himself at the center of some political chicanery, that just may shoot out of the sky any aspirations he may be floating to be the Republican Presidential Candidate in 2016.

The political shenanigans involve lane closures on the George Washington Bridge.  Gov. Christie spoke out on the matter yesterday, as the local CBS affiliate reported:

“What I’ve seen today for the first time is unacceptable. I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge. One thing is clear: this type of behavior is unacceptable and I will not tolerate it because the people of New Jersey deserve better. This behavior is not representative of me or my Administration in any way, and people will be held responsible for their actions,” the governor said in a statement.

As CBS 2’s Jessica Schneider reported, Christie had said previously that no one in his office or his campaign knew about the lane closures back in September.

But the email and text messages between Christie’s deputy chief of staff and the governor’s appointees to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey show a seemingly deliberate effort to create traffic gridlock by shutting Fort Lee’s access to the George Washington Bridge after its mayor refused to endorse Christie for re-election.

“Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee,” Christie aide Bridget Anne Kelly wrote to David Wildstein, a top political appointee at the Port Authority, which runs the George Washington Bridge, one of the world’s busiest spans.

“Got it,” Wildstein reportedly replied before ordering the closures.

Kelly wrote the email on Aug. 13, about a month before two of three local access lanes to the bridge were diverted, causing hour-long backups in Fort Lee during the first week of school. The lane closures were not announced in advance.

“They are the children of Buono voters,” Kelly joked – referring to Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono who was challenging Christie.

Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich, a Democrat, said the now-public documents have confirmed his suspicions.

“I didn’t want to jump in to this arena because I’ve got enough to do in Fort Lee. But it’s now pretty clear that there’s intentionality involved,” he told WCBS 880′s Levon Putney.

State Democrats have long said the gridlock-inducing lane closures were political retaliation.

“I don’t know if this is comical or if it’s criminal. We went through absolute hell and misery here in Fort Lee for four days,” said Sokolich.

For those of you who have not been paying attention, Chris Christie, or “Goveror Zeppelin” as he was named by my friend, New Jersey native Gene Hoyas, has long been considered to be the Republican Establishment’s top choice to be their Presidential Candidate in 2016.

Never mind that he betrayed 2012 Republican Candidate Mitt Romney by having a bromance with President Barack Hussein Obama, as he visited New Jersey on a photo op, touring the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The fact of the matter is that Reagan Conservatives, down here in America’s Heartland, “Flyover Country”, if you will, never trusted Gov.  Zeppelin to begin with.

Let’s face it: Christie is not a Conservative. He claims to be one…but he isn’t. He is, at best, a Political Moderate, or a “Squish”.

Kurt Schlichter, writing for Townhall.com in an article posted last November, nails the way Conservatives feel about the Vichy Republican’s potential 2016 Presidential Nominee:

We feel you’re in it for yourself and that if you get elected your administration will be a festival of squishiness that would make George W. Bush look like Ted Cruz.

Getting up to talk about Mitt Romney and talking about yourself? Classless. Getting in a micturition contest with conservative warrior Rand Paul? Lame. And don’t delude yourself that we are mad because you hugged the President on the eve of the election. Our beef was your evident glee, as if you were publicly repudiating our imagined “irrational hatred.” We had beefs with Mitt Romney, but we respected him as a decent man and we saw your act as a cheap backstab designed to promote yourself when he needed you most.

…We think that you think we’re stupid. Call it a feeling or a vibe, but we are used to a certain class of Republican acting as if conservatives are drooling morons. Inevitably, these same GOP geniuses are the ones who prattled on and on about the electability of McCain and Romney. Note that they’re also giddy about you.

Whenever the fawning mainstream media – let’s see how fawning it is once you start endangering Hillary – interviews you, you always have a long list of things we conservatives have done wrong. You never offer us much credit for the little things we’ve done right, like – oh, I dunno – winning back the House.

We suspect your attitude demonstrates a willingness to disregard our concerns. After all, who cares what a bunch of dummies thinks, right? Just keep in mind that if these “dummies” stay home, you get to spend 2017 running out the clock in the Garden State while being the Curley of the Three Stooges of GOP presidential failure.

You have a real problem. Right now, a lot of conservatives – I need to emphasize, a lot – are threatening to stay home if you get nominated. Go ask Presidents McCain and Romney how that works out on election night.

Of course, now that it appears that the big man is up to his suspenders in a political scandal, we Conservatives may not have to worry about staying home or holding our noise and voting for a Republican Squish, as we did in 2012.

Even if he escapes from this political crash virtually unscathed, it will damage Gov. Zeppelin’s political reputation enough to where he will be lucky to hold on to his current job.

And, that will be just fine. Americans have had enough of the Republican Presidential Candidates, chosen by the Republican Establishment.

2016 will be our Golden Opportunity.

In his 1975 speech to CPAC Ronald Reagan said that,

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people.

Talking straight to the American People will win the day.

Squishiness will lose…again.

Until He Comes,
