Gillibrand Tap Dances Around the Issues, Attacks Fox News at Their Townhall…Have the Dems Painted Themselves in a Corner?

The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so. – President Ronald Reagan

FoxNews.com reports that

Things got heated at a Fox News town hall in Iowa Sunday when Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. used the platform to blame the network for allowing discussions of infanticide in debates about abortion and women’s reproductive rights.

When asked by a retired pediatric nurse named Susan about her stance on late-term abortions, Gillibrand pivoted to an attack on Fox News.

Gillibrand accused Fox of fueling what she called the infanticide “red herring” by devoting 6.5 hours of coverage to the debate, including comments from guests on the network.

“What we have created, unfortunately, is a false choice and a false narrative,” Gillibrand said of the climate surrounding the issue. “And Chris, I want to talk about the role that Fox News plays in this because it’s a problem. I can tell you before President Trump gave his State of the Union, Fox News talked about infanticide.”

“Infanticide doesn’t exist,” she said, at which point “Fox News Sunday” host and town hall moderator Chris Wallace cut her off.

“Senator, I just want to say, we’ve brought you here for an hour,” Wallace said. “We’ve treated you very fairly. I understand that maybe to make your credentials with the Democrats who are not appearing on Fox News you want to attack us. I’m not sure it’s frankly very polite when we’ve invited you to be here.”

Gillibrand, who is polling at around one percent according to most national and early voting state polls, has yet to secure the 65,000 individual donor campaign contributions necessary to qualify her for the late June and July primary debates and hoped to use her platform on Fox to bolster support.

“I’ll do it in a polite way,” Gillibrand countered.

“Instead of talking about Fox News why don’t you answer Susan’s question,” Wallace said redirecting the senator to her stance on late-term abortions.

Gillibrand, a fervent supporter of abortion rights, has previously vowed to only nominate federal court judges who support Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion across the nation. She repeated that position during Sunday night’s event at the University of Dubuque.

“Does that mean that you’re okay with other presidents having their own litmus tests?” Wallace asked her. “Maybe a pro-life president might say ‘I’ll only appoint people who will overturn Roe v Wade.’ Because the tradition in this country has been [the] independence of the judiciary and the idea that a judge, once appointed, will judge each case on its merits and not on the basis of a promise made, a political promise to get that position.”

“I think it’s changed. That’s the way it used to be before President Trump,” Gillibrand responded. “President Trump said he would only appoint judges that would overturn Roe v. Wade.”

“He already did and he’s doing it,” she said. “The rules have changed.”

Gillibrand also accused Republicans of creating a “false narrative” that doctors allow healthy babies to die after they are born in order to ease the passage of the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors” bill, legislation that would make it a felony for a doctor to harm or neglect a baby who survives an attempted abortion.

Gillibrand went on to say that President Trump “emboldened legislatures in over 30 states to begin to criminalize” a woman’s decision to have an abortion, state laws that have been challenged in courts across the nation because of their direct conflict with the precedent set by the Constitution.

The senator slammed a member of her own party, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, for signing a bill on Thursday that would prohibit women from having an abortion once a baby’s heartbeat is detected, in almost all cases. Gillibrand accused Edwards of “turning his back on Louisiana women by signing this shameful bill,” in a statement on Twitter Thursday.

Either senator Gillibrand has forgotten Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s comments from this past January or she wants US to forget them.

An Abortion Bill was presented to the Virginia State legislature by Democratic delegate Kathy Tran, the chief sponsor of the bill, who stated that her legislation would allow a woman to receive an abortion even while she was going into labor.

Per NationalReview.com, an interviewer on WTOP’s “Ask The Governor” asked Northam whether he supports the bill and asked him to explain Tran’s comment.

“This is why decisions such as this should be made by providers, physicians, and the mothers and fathers that are involved,” Northam said. “When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the mother, with the consent of the physician — more than one physician, by the way — and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s non-viable.”

Northam is either unaware of the specifics of the bill, or he’s lying about them. Tran’s legislation explicitly removes the current requirement that three physicians agree that a woman is in need of a late-term abortion. The new bill would require only the consent of the mother and of the physician performing the abortion. But he went on to say something even more heinous.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he continued. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

From House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ineffectual attempt at placating the young Social Justice Warriors at her conference appearance in California to Gillibrand’s imitation of Ginger Rogers on last night’s Fox News Townhall to Joe Biden’s imitation of the Invisible Man, the Democrats appear to have painted themselves into a corner.

The Democratic Party Hierarchy have been continuously “feeding the crocodile”, i.e. , the Far Left Young Socialists within their party who want Trump’s Impeachment, a Marxist Form of Government, and Infanticide and they want it NOW.

There is one problem with all of that.

The overwhelming majority of Americans do not want what they want.

And, if the Democrats succeed in the installation of any combination of the three, they will be shut out of winning the presidency for years to come.

Pelosi realizes that Trump cannot be impeached without a legitimate reason. She also knows that the Senate will not vote for impeachment even if the House votes for it.

She, along with her fellow Democratic Leaders, no matter what they may say publically, also realize that President Trump has brought back a vibrant American Economy and Job Market, purring along on the engines of capitalism.

“Democratic Socialism” will be a tough sell as a platform to run on.

Finally, average Americans want no part of killing babies.

That is why the Democrats have received such a huge negative reaction to the passage of the New York State Late Term Abortion Bill as well as Virginia’s Bill and Gov. Northam’s callous remarks.

So, where does that leave the Democrats and their aspiring Presidential Candidates, like Senate Gillibrand?

Evidently, it leaves them tap dancing around the truth.

It promises to be an entertaining, albeit futile, Democrat Primary Season.

Fred Astaire, they ain’t.

SJWs Take Over House: Pelosi Goes from “Iron Lady” to Doddering Old Spinster

D0aEV6yWoAAP0pR-1200x630

Do you remember 4 months ago, after the Midterm Elections, when the Democratic Leadership and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, were telling everybody that the presumptive Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, would make the House Dems “toe the line”, unifying them as a body, and bring down the “Hammer of Justice” on President Donald J. Trump?

A funny thing happened on the way to Pelosi’s “benevolent dictatorship” in the House of Representatives.

Pelosi is now finding herself and all of the “Old Guard” House Dems being pushed out of political power by 3 first year Congresswomen, anti-Semitic Marxists who have quite literally “come out of nowhere” to take all the air out of the House of Representatives.

And, the “Iron Lady” of the House can not seem to do anything about it.

Case in point…

FoxNews.com reported Thursday morning that

A Democratic source told Fox News on Wednesday that Pelosi has been “taken aback” by the growing dissent and anger among rank-and-file Democrats over the resolution — highlighting Pelosi’s tenuous grip on control over the House and underscoring the growing power of the party’s nascent far-left progressive wing.

Pelosi reportedly walked out of a meeting Wednesday with Democrat House members, setting down her microphone and telling attendees, “Well, if you’re not going to listen to me, I’m done talking.”

Then, FoxNews.com reported Thursday afternoon that

…Tensions have run high among Democrats in recent days. Apparently fed up with her party’s inability to come together to condemn anti-Semitism in the past week, Pelosi reportedly even dropped her microphone and stormed out of a meeting with junior Democrats on Wednesday, amid fierce disputes over the planning and wording of the resolution.

And, on Thursday, Pelosi offered something of a strained excuse for the 37-year-old Omar, saying at a news conference, “I do not believe that she understood the full weight of the words.”

The final text of the resolution reflected the Democrats’ deep internal divisions on the matter. It began by rejecting the “perpetuation of anti-Semitic stereotypes in the United States and around the world, including the pernicious myth of dual loyalty and foreign allegiance, especially in the context of support for the United States-Israel alliance.”

Although the resolution stops short of using Omar’s name, that provision was a transparent reference to her remarks at a progressive Washington cafe last week, in which she suggested that Israel supporters were pushing for U.S. politicians to declare “allegiance” to Israel.

The accusation that Jewish politicians could be vulnerable to having “dual loyalties” has been made for centuries in various contexts, and has been seen widely as a religious-based attack intent on undermining their leadership. Tlaib, who was seated next to Omar during her comments at the cafe, made a similar comment in January, tweeting that Senate Republicans were more loyal to Israel than to their own country.

The resolution also “condemns anti-Semitic acts and statements as hateful expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to the values that define the people of the United States.”

Last month, Omar ignited a bipartisan uproar across the country when she suggested on Twitter that some members of Congress have been paid by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee to support Israel. AIPAC is a nonprofit organization that works to influence U.S. policy. (“Let me be really clear,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, said. “Suggesting that support for Israel is beholden to a foreign power is absolutely unacceptable and illogical too.”)

Omar — who also tweeted in 2012 that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel” — refused to address questions on Wednesday about accusations that she’s anti-Semitic.

Fox News had been told the Democratic caucus was concerned about mentioning Omar by name — a non-starter for many members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Two knowledgable sources said such a scenario could increase security threats against Omar, who is Muslim.

But, Democrats went to great lengths to broaden the resolution’s focus far beyond Omar’s comments. A vote on the resolution was delayed briefly to add a new clause condemning other forms of bigotry, reportedly in response to concerns from members representing minority groups who felt left out.

So, the House Democratic Leadership, including “Madame Speaker” rolled over and played dead. (a million comical lines involving San Fran Nan’s home life just raced between my synapses, but among them are images which I do not need, so, moving on…)

And, showed the entire country just how ineffective, anti-Semitic, and Anti-American that they truly are.

Why didn’t the Speaker of the House issue a strong condemnation of Omar and her anti-Semitism?

All of the evidence garnered through her public appearances clearly demonstrate the fact that she is not the clear thinking Machiavellian genius which all of the Democratic Hierarchy attempted to present her as.

Dementia-riddled “San Fran Nan” Pelosi has been salivating for two years over the opportunity to be Speaker of the House again.

Losing the presidency in 2016 did not smarten up the Democrats at all.

If they go ahead with allowing Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) life Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez, and Ilhan to basically run their political party while embracing Radical Islam, anti-Semitism, and Marxism, Pelosi and the rest of the “useful idiots” known as the House Democrats are very likely setting themselves up to go the way of the Whigs.

…And, it couldn’t happen to a “nicer” bunch.

The Democratic Majority in the House’s only hope of reelection at this point is to make Nancy Pelosi abdicate her House Speakership and put in her place someone who will “step hard” on the SJWs and get them under control and who will actually work with President Trump as Former Speaker Newt Gingrich worked with Former President Bill Clinton.

However, that would be a very hard task to accomplish.

There is noting harder that getting a doddering old lady to leave the House she has been in for a very long time.

Until He Comes,
