GOP Senators Warned Barr That Mueller Staff “Selectively” Used E-mails in Court Filings to Give “Nefarious” Impression

untitled (237)

Was there Democrat political bias going on in the editing of e-mails selected as potential evidence by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Investigative Staff?

Was that same bias involved in the FBI’s original Russia probe?

FoxNews.com reports that

Shortly before Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed his report on the Russia investigation last month, Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., alerted Attorney General Bill Barr to what they described as the “selective” use of emails in Mueller court filings — as well as potential “improper political influence, misconduct, and mismanagement” in the FBI’s original Russia probe.

In a March 8 letter, Grassley and Graham referred Barr to a letter sent to Mueller in late 2017 that alleged his investigators had cherry-picked details from emails to include in court documents, urging him to review the materials. They also notified him that they had asked DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz a year earlier to review the original FBI probe.

It’s unclear if Barr reviewed the senators’ letter; a DOJ representative declined to comment on the missive.

But Fox News is told the lawmakers wanted Barr to have this material before he reviewed the Mueller report, out of concern some emails were selectively quoted to give a “nefarious” impression.

Fox News has also obtained the 2017 letter (above) from Grassley to Mueller, which spelled out the lawmakers’ concerns about the “absence of additional context” in the court filings — as well as concerns over how those documents were covered in the media. “The glaring lack of [context] feeds speculation and innuendo that distorts the facts,” Grassley wrote at the time.

In their March letter to Barr, Grassley and Graham pointed specifically to emails quoted in the Statement of Offense against former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos.

That court filing said Papadopoulos emailed another campaign official in May 2016 with the subject line, “Request from Russia to meet Mr. Trump.” The document said the email stated that Russia “has been eager to meet Mr. Trump for quite sometime and have been reaching out to me to discuss,” adding in a footnote that the official forwarded the email to another campaign official asking to discuss: “We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.”

The senators said media outlets then seized on the fragments to report a “Campaign official suggested ‘low level’ staff should go to Russia.” However, they said the full emails — obtained from the Trump campaign — tell a different story.

“In full context, the emails in question actually show that the Trump Campaign wanted someone ‘low level’ to decline these types of invitations,” Grassley and Graham wrote in the letter to Barr.

The senators added: “Another citation was reported by some news outlets as evidence that the campaign, notably Papadopoulos and Sam Clovis, encouraged personnel to meet with the Russians.” This line in the original court document said that a campaign supervisor (later identified as Clovis) told Papadopoulos “I would encourage you” and another adviser to “make the trip” if possible, with regard to a meeting with Russians.

The senators wrote, however, that “additional context shows that Papadopoulos had conversations with representatives from multiple governments, not just Russia, and that Clovis had opposed any trip to Russia for Mr. Trump and the campaign.”

Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents in October 2017 in connection to the Russia investigation and is currently on a 12-month supervised release from federal prison. He is now seeking a pardon from Trump.

Meanwhile, in late February of last year, Graham and Grassley also sent a letter to Horowitz requesting that his office look into “potential improper political influence, misconduct, and mismanagement” of the counterintelligence and criminal investigations into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia before Mueller’s appointment.

“The referral was based in part on materially inconsistent statements reportedly made by Christopher Steele, the author of the anti-Trump dossier funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign during the 2016 presidential election,” their letter to Barr states.

It continues: “The documents we have reviewed also raise questions about the role Bruce Ohr, a senior Justice Department official whose wife worked for Fusion GPS, had in passing allegations from Steele and Fusion GPS to the FBI after the FBI had terminated Mr. Steele as a source.”

The IG’s office is reviewing potential surveillance abuses by the FBI, as well as leaks out of the bureau and improper gifts received by officials.

Good luck with all that.

Given what we know about the make-up of the Special Counsel’s Investigative Staff, it is a wonder that the findings contained in the Mueller Report proved what President Trump had been saying all along: NO COLLUSION.

I find it puzzling that more has not been made as to who the “man behind the curtain” was who was controlling the actions of the DOJ, FBI, and the rest of the Deep State Operatives who began their mission even before Trump officially became the Republican Presidential Candidate.

Of course, they were leaking to the media.

There is so much obvious stuff that we have found out about this operation, including things which seems odd on their own until you put 2 + 2 together.

For example, why did Barack Hussein Obama move into a house with his Girl Friday, Valerie Jarrett, just scant blocks from the White House, instead of leaving town like every other President has in the past?

Why did Special Counsel Robert Mueller hire 17 Democratic Donors as his Special Investigators?

Why did Mueller go silent and Obama reappear into the national spotlight with the Midterm Elections just a couple of months away?

Why did Robert Woodward and the New York Times publish a book and an op ed using stories from “unnamed sources” as to how awful the Trump White House was right before the Midterms?

Average Americans remain extremely skeptical concerning the actions taken against Trump by the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Americans between the coasts believed for over two years that Mueller and his “17 Angry Democrats” were nothing but a political lynch mob, tools of the Democratic Party.

And speaking of….Democrats ( you thought I was going to say “tools” didn’t you?) Former President Barack Hussein Obama was not well received at all by average Americans with his ego-driven diatribe against President Trump and the Economic Recovery which America is experiencing.

In summary, what I trying to say is what a lot of us have been thinking and saying for well over two years:

The Democrats, in conjunction with Career Washington Bureaucrats working in various aspects of government, including the DOJ and the FBI, were performing surveillance and working against Donald J. Trump, both when he was a candidate and throughout his Presidency. And, they were following orders from President Obama in order to secure the Presidency for Hillary Clinton.

It’s time for Attorney General Barr to investigate this entire matter and for President Trump to get the plunger and to drain this part of the Swamp.

The Fight for Our Nation’s Soul – Dems Plan to Keep Investigating Even if Kavanaugh Confirmed…

5b46749499e9c.image

FoxNews.com reports that

…As the political fight over the sexual assault allegation made against Brett Kavanaugh intensifies, Democrats are indicating that — even if confirmed — they intend to drag the fight over his Supreme Court nomination past November, raising the possibility of an impeachment push.

Democrats have been demanding the vote to confirm Kavanaugh be delayed pending a full FBI investigation into the accusation by Christine Blasey Ford that Kavanaugh assaulted her at a party in high school in the 1980s. Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the allegations and has said he is willing to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

…The midterm elections loom over the debate over the timetable of Kavanaugh’s confirmation process. Should Democrats succeed in delaying the confirmation vote past November and pick up seats in the Senate in the midterms, then they will likely have enough votes to block Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

However, if Republicans confirm Kavanaugh before November, Democrats have indicated that the fight would not be over are raising the prospect of further investigations and even impeachment.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., said that “as soon as Democrats get gavels”, the party will investigate the Kavanaugh allegations even if he is confirmed and sitting on the Supreme Court.

“This is such bad practice that even if they were to ram this guy through, as soon as Democrats get gavels we’re going to want to get to the bottom of this,” he said on CNN.

When pressed as to whether he was saying Democrats would investigate a sitting Supreme Court justice, Whitehouse said he was “confident of that.”

“And I think we’ll also be investigating why the FBI stood down its background investigation when this came up in this particular background,” he said.

His stance was backed up by Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif, who said in an interview with Fox News that there could not only be an investigation, but a push for impeachment.

“If the Republicans rush through a nominee where you have unanswered sexual assault allegations, I can promise you that Democratic senators will be interested in going and looking at those allegations, and if Judge Kavanaugh lied under oath, you could see a judicial impeachment, and that’s not good for anybody, so we should try and avoid that,” he said on “America’s Newsroom.”

Such a move would require a majority in the House of Representatives, something that a number of pollsters are predicting the Democrats will secure in November.

The same pollsters who predicted that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 Presidential Election, no doubt.

Gentle Readers, as I sit here writing this Sunday Morning Post and reflecting on the ongoing Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearings, I am more convinced than ever that we are not just witnessing a political battle being fought over the seating of our next Supreme Court Justice, we are witnessing a fight for the very soul of our nation.

Depending on the outcome of this fight, parents of the next generation of average American boys are going to have to worry about the possibility that some female may accuse him of “sexual harassment” or “sexual abuse” for simply being a teenage boy awkwardly attempting to approach a girl whom he wants to talk to in hopes of striking up a relationship with.

If the Democrats are victorious in their attempted martyrdom of a politically active College Professor who marched in one of the Women’s Marches wearing a hat shaped to look like a woman’s genitalia, than the lives of not only grown men but young men as well can and will be irreparably damaged simply by means of an unproven accusation.

Right now, Americans are already witnessing Far Left Democrats desperately trying to regain political power by promising “free stuff” for everyone through Marxism, renamed “Democratic Socialism”, and based on a political theory which has never worked anywhere it has been tried.

Now, this same political party is trying to “radically change” our American Legal System by claiming that an American Citizen is not “innocent until proven guilty” but rather “guilty until proven innocent”.

If the Republicans allow this usurpation of Traditional American Values and Ethics to reach the conclusion which the “Party of Special Interest Groups” wants so desperately to happen, then they are no better than the Vichy French who allowed the National Socialist Party of Germany to occupy their country during World War II.

Senator Grassley and the rest of the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, this is not the time for “politics as usual”.

It is time to take a stand for what is right…

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. – Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

Ford’s Legal Team Makes Demands For Interview About Kavanaugh…Can You Say “Stall”?

posser-600-li

FoxNews.com reports that

Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team has asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to agree to certain terms before she sits down for a potential interview over her accusation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her decades ago, two sources told Fox News on Thursday night.

Among the terms: Only members of the committee — no lawyers — can question her; Kavanaugh cannot be in the room at the time; and Kavanaugh should be questioned first.

The requests, some of which appeared to be negotiable, capped a whirlwind day that began when Ford’s lawyers told the Senate Judiciary Committee that she was open to testifying, apparently backing off her bid for the FBI to first launch a new inquiry into her allegations.

But the attorneys said it was “not possible” for Ford to testify at a hearing scheduled for Monday by Senate Republicans, and they reiterated that she has a “strong preference” for an FBI probe beforehand.

According to an email sent by her attorney Debra Katz to the committee, Ford would appear as long as senators provide “terms that are fair and which ensure her safety.”

It was not immediately clear whether Senate Republicans would agree to Ford’s latest requests, but they have reportedly indicated they are considering them.

Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday night before a rally in Nevada, Trump called Kavanaugh “an outstanding person” and said “I don’t think you can delay it any longer.”

I agree with the President.

The simple truth of this whole last minute “undocumented undiscovered transgression” of Judge Kavanaugh’s is that it is actually a microcosm of the entire Democratic Political Strategy of the Democratic Party going into the Midterm Elections.

The Democrats have no Political Platform going into these important elections besides “Hate Trump”.

What is happening to Judge Kavanaugh gives us a snapshot of what has happened to the 45th President of the United States of America since we average Americans living between the East and Left Coasts elected him on November 8, 2016.

Unfounded accusations featuring unsavory sources and spokespersons have been thrown at Trump ad infinitum since he assumed office.

From the Trump/Russia Collusion Fairy Tale to Stormy Daniels to the President and First Lady being on the verge of a divorce, the Democrats and their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media, have bombarded the 24 Hour News Cycle with Fake News like gorillas flinging their body waste at the zoo visitors behind the glass.

The whole scenario involving the accusations from Democratic Political Activist Dr. Ford smells like Michael Moore after two hours at the all-you-can-eat buffet.

If Feinstein and the Democrat Brain Trust expected to win points with American Voters for their actions against Kavanaugh, they will wind up being sorely disappointed.

The victory of Donald J. Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election was not just a referendum against Hillary Clinton, it was a “battle cry” of “NO MORE!” by average Americans who had had their fill of the Far Left Democrats and their attempt to turn America into a Democratic Socialist Country.

For Dr. Ford’s Legal Team to be making all of these cockamamie demands of the Senate Judiciary Committee isn’t just silly, it’s insane.

She has proven nothing. In fact, her skittish behavior is a red flag as to lack of veracity of her claims against a very good man with an exemplary judicial record.

It is time for Senator Grassley and the other Republican members of the Senate to tell the Democrats to take their seats.

It is time to call the vote.

To paraphrase an old quotation which we use often down here in Dixie,

One Democrat Political Activist don’t stop no show.

3 Names on FISA Memo Released, Grassley releases 7 Pages of Strzok/Page Texts. Is the “Schiff” About to Hit the Fan?

According to The Daily Beast

A controversial Republican memo alleging surveillance abuse specifically names FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein along with former FBI Director James Comey.

Capitol Hill sources on both sides of the aisle say the memo’s release is only a matter of time. And when it comes out, these current and former officials — all GOP bêtes noires — are likely to face even more criticism from the right over their involvement in FBI counterintelligence work.

Republicans, including Trump himself, have spent months attacking McCabe and Comey while special counsel Robert Mueller has been investigating Team Trump’s connections to the Kremlin. Rosenstein put that probe in place—a move Trump has derided as a witch hunt.

A groundswell is building to release the memo—written by Devin Nunes, the California Republican and key Trump ally who chairs the House intelligence committee—which former FBI agents fear will damage public trust in the bureau. While Democrats say the memo deliberately misrepresents the procedures for obtaining a foreign-intelligence surveillance warrant, The Daily Beast has learned that Hill Republicans are gearing up to use an obscure parliamentary rule to release it.

Meanwhile, the Justice Department has expressed serious concerns about the memo’s potential release. In a letter sent to Nunes on Jan. 24, Stephen Boyd, the department’s top congressional liaison, wrote that “it would be extraordinarily reckless for the Committee to disclose such information publicly without giving the Department and the FBI the opportunity to review the memorandum and to advise the HPSCI [the House intelligence committee] of the risk of harm to national security and to ongoing investigations that could come from public release.”

That letter also said the department is “unaware of any wrongdoing” related to the FISA process—indicating the department disagrees with the scores of congressional Republicans who say Nunes’ memo provides proof of wrongdoing.

Rep. Chris Collins, a New York Republican, told The Daily Beast that Nunes has told Republicans his staff spent months putting the memo together.

The news spawned the hashtag #releasethememo, with actors ranging from WikiLeaks to the ACLU to Michael Flynn Jr. calling for the memo to be made public. Democrats have emphasized Russian bots’ efforts to boost the hashtag, but a well-placed source told The Daily Beast yesterday that the bulk of the support for the social media campaign comes from actual Americans on the right.

The memo is enormously controversial. Hill Democrats and former FBI officials say it’s a ploy to damage public confidence in the FBI and undermine Mueller’s investigation. Republicans, meanwhile, say the memo contains massively disturbing evidence of FBI wrongdoing.

The recent Republican attacks on the bureau are taking a toll on current agents and analysts, two former senior FBI officials told The Daily Beast.

Ron Hosko, who formerly headed the FBI’s criminal investigative division, said morale in the bureau is “sagging.” Some officials could barely leave their houses to string up Christmas lights without being accosted by their neighbors about the bureau’s apparent troubles, he said.

He added that members of Congress who argue that the FBI hastily obtained a surveillance order known as a FISA warrant based on British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s dossier of salacious allegations are nothing but conspiracy theorists.

“I think there are people who are intent on damaging the FBI, facts be damned,” he said.

Ali Soufan, a retired FBI counterterrorism special agent, warned that the attacks on the bureau were draining their accusers’ credibility.

“Some of the Republicans attacking the FBI are isolating themselves from otherwise sympathetic FBI agents. It’s no secret that the FBI tends to lean conservative,” Soufan said.

“The few GOP politicians attacking the FBI are, frankly, demagogues. They’re putting party and self-interest above country. They are damaging national security. They unfortunately gave up any moral authority.”

To make the memo public, House Republicans are considering the use of an arcane, little-known process from the House of Representatives’ rules of procedure (PDF).

Rule X, subsection 11(g), lays out a process for releasing classified material even over objections by the president of the United States.

The rule only comes up on extremely rare occasions, according to veterans of contentious declassification disputes between the intelligence agencies and their congressional overseers.

Typically, when Congress requests a declassification, an internal review occurs within the relevant agency or agencies. It’s captained substantially by the attorney general, the director of national intelligence, and the CIA director, depending on the particular agencies with substantial equities in the disclosure at issue. When multiple intelligence agencies are involved, the director of national intelligence runs the process.

“It doesn’t typically need to be invoked,” said Robert Litt, who never saw the House use it during his seven-plus years as the senior lawyer at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence under ex-directors James Clapper and Dennis Blair. “It’s only if Congress wants to declassify something the executive branch doesn’t want declassified.”

Under the rule, if a clash occurs between the House intelligence committee and the executive branch over keeping something secret, the president gets five days to deliver objections that cite a danger to national security posed by disclosure. Should the dispute persist, the committee can vote to take the matter to the full House of Representatives to consider. The full House’s debate is to occur in secret, with a public vote determining the outcome.

The president, however, can simply decide on his own to declassify anything. And in Trump’s case, his spokesperson is on the record supporting declassification.

“We certainly support full transparency. We believe that’s at the House intel committee to make that decision at this point,” Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said Tuesday. “It sounds like there are some members in the House that have some real concern about what’s in that memo and feel very strongly that the American public should be privy to see it.”

Sanders is procedurally correct. The entire Rule X subsection 11(g) process depends on the House intelligence committee initially voting for declassification. While the committee voted last Thursday to permit House members outside the committee to view the still-classified memo in a secured room, a declassification vote has yet to occur, the top Democrat on the panel indicated Wednesday.

“It now appears that the GOP intends to seek further dissemination of this classified information, this time to the public,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said in a statement, adding that Democrats had drafted a counter-memo “setting out the relevant facts and exposing the misleading character of the Republicans’ document so that members of the House are not left with an erroneous impression of the dedicated professionals at the FBI and DOJ.”

Asked if an internal executive branch declassification process has begun, a spokesman for the office of the director of national intelligence replied: “We don’t have anything on this matter.”

FBI officials asked to see Nunes’ memo, but a spokesperson told The Daily Beast on Sunday that their request was denied.

At this point, congressional sources on both sides of the aisle say they think the memo’s release is inevitable. Nunes holds the reins. Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy are deferring to Nunes as to how to handle the memo, according to leadership aides.

“It is the mood of our conference, clearly, to release it,” said Rep. Collins. “And I would think it’s safe to say, based on Devin outlining the ins and outs and crossing of the t’s and dotting of the i’s to do this right, that would be his intention as well.”

Inside the bureau, former special agent Soufan said there was “disappointment and frustration” over the right’s attacks, but not surprise.

“It’s not the first time we’ve been attacked [by politicians] and it won’t be the last. A lot of [FBI] people are very disappointed, but they’re tuning it out and they’re going to support the mission,” Soufan said.

In a related story from yesterday, Senate Judicial Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley released 7 pages of text messages between FBI Agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

New texts released by Grassley on Thursday also indicated that FBI officials believed FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe should be recused from the Clinton investigation because of his family’s ties to Virginia Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who is close with the Clintons.

In an October 28, 2016 text exchange, Page told Strzok that then- FBI Chief of Staff James Rybicki thought McCabe should not have participated in the probe.

“Rybicki just called to check in,” she wrote. “He very clearly 100% believes that Andy should be recused because of the ‘perception.’”

“God,” Strzok replied.

Asked by Page why McCabe should be recused now, if not before, Strzok said: “I assume McAuliffe picked up.”

McCabe eventually recused himself from the Clinton probe one week before the election.

Okay, so you have FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein along with former FBI Director James Comey about to get nailed by this 4-page memo.

Do y’all understand what we are talking about here?

Please allow me to review…

A Former Presidential Administration weaponized the FBI and DOJ for the purposes of not only spying on , but also sabotaging the Candidacy and Presidency of Donald J. Trump.

These Deep State Operatives, loyal to the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party, protected both President Barack Hussein Obama and Former Candidate Hillary Clinton, while using both the Bureaucratic and Electronic Tools at their disposal to somehow attempt to keep Trump from Becoming President.

Having failed at that, they invented the fictitious Russian Collusion Narrative as both a distraction and an impediment, in order to prevent President Trump from fulfilling his Campaign Promise to “Make America Great Again”.

This “Secret Society” within the FBI, ensconced in their Swamp of Bureaucracy, considered themselves, as most of the Liberal Elite do, to be smarter than everybody else, “untouchable”, and, evidently, above the laws of the nation which they had sworn to uphold and its citizens whom they had sworn to serve.

Back when all of the “Resistance”, i.e., the whining Libs, the demonstrations, the marches, the pink hats shaped like a woman’s you-know-what, were all happening, I wrote several articles in which I said that it all stemmed from Modern Liberal’s wish to turn our Sovereign Nation into a Socialist Paradise, a wish left unfulfilled thanks to Americans staying strong during the nightmarish 8 years of Barack Hussein Obama’s failed Presidency.

Little did I know at the time just how brainwashed and programmed the Liberals within the Halls of Power in Washington, DC were.

Three things now need to happen:

  1. The 4-page memo needs to be released to the American Public. Whether Congress does it or President Trump declassifies it, does not matter. We need to see it.
  2. A Second Special Counsel needs to be appointed and the people responsible for these acts of treason against our nation need to be held responsible for their actions.
  3. Special Counsel James Mueller and his Dog and Pony Show need to fold their tents and go home. As Don Meredith used to sing on Monday Night Football, “Turn out the lights. The party’s over”.

You no doubt noticed that I used the word “treason” in my second point.

That is because there is no other word to describe a clandestine operation put into motion by a previous Presidential Administration for the sole purpose of circumventing the will of the American People through interference in our Electoral Process and a smooth Transition of Power.

It is time to speak the truth and shame the Devil.

…And the Democrats.

Until He Comes,
