Senate Democrats Vote to Cut Military Pensions Benefits…Keep IRS Credit for Illegal Immigrants.

veterans marchIf you ask any average American, out here in the Real World, which we refer to as the Heartland of America, if they think that Pension Benefits to our Military Veterans who have defended our freedom, should be cut, in order to keep an IRS Credit for Illegal Immigrants, they would look at you as if you were wearing your underwear on top of your head and their answer to your question would not just be “no”, but H@ll, no!

Evidently, Senate Democrats prefer to protect “benefits” for those who have entered our country illegally, instead of taking care of  those who have fought to protect and defend our freedom.

Foxnews.com reports that

A final effort by Senate Republicans to halt cuts to pensions of military retirees failed late Tuesday, after Democrats blocked an amendment to the controversial budget bill.

The two-year budget agreement, which cleared a key test vote earlier in the day, was expected to get a final vote no later than Wednesday.

Ahead of the final vote, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., tried unsuccessfully to use a parliamentary tactic to force a vote on the amendment, which he wrote to undo the cuts for military retirees.

A provision in the already House-passed bill would cut retirement benefits for military retirees by $6 billion over 10 years.

Sessions wanted to instead eliminate an estimated $4.2 billion in annual spending by reining in an IRS credit that illegal immigrants have claimed.

He and fellow senators argued the bill unfairly sticks veterans and other military retirees with the cost of new spending.

“It’s not correct, and it should not happen,” Sessions said on the floor.

“By blocking my amendment, they voted to cut pensions for wounded warriors,” he said afterwards. “Senators in this chamber have many valid ideas for replacing these pension cuts, including my proposal to close the tax welfare loophole for illegal filers, and all deserved a fair and open hearing. But they were denied.”

Sessions’ office claimed the vote Tuesday to block the amendment was a vote to “cut military pensions instead of cutting welfare for illegal immigrants.”

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray, D-Wash.,who brokered the budget deal with House counterpart Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., argued the GOP effort was really an attempt to kill the entire bill.

The Republican-led House passed the bill last week in an effort to avoid another stalemate leading to a potential government shutdown, like the one in October that polls showed was largely unpopular with voters.

Where was the GOP Leadership in the Senate? You know, The Sunshine Boys, McCain and McConnell? Why weren’t they supporting Sen. Sessions?

After the House passed the Budget “Compromise” last week, Rush Limbaugh made the following astute observation:

The Republicans are scared to death to say anything critical of Obama and the Democrats. And they’ll do anything to avoid a government shutdown, including giving Obama what he wants, which we just saw.

Back on October 20th, Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin wrote these words in an Op Ed, posted on Breitbart.com. They fit what is happening, regarding the Budget Issue, perfectly:

…GOP politicians claim they’re against Obamacare and promise to repeal it. But when it came time to stand up and use the Constitutional tools they have – the power of the purse strings – to finally halt the implementation, they balked, waved the white flag, and joined the lapdog media in trashing the good guys who fought for us.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, these same politicians are covertly pushing through amnesty despite evidence that the 33 million newly legalized voters will overwhelmingly lean Democrat! Obviously this makes the likelihood of a GOP hat trick electoral victory, and hence the repeal of socialized healthcare, even more improbable.

The media wants you to believe that the partial government shutdown “fractured” the Republican machine from grassroots commonsense conservatives who go by the acronym TEA Party (that stands for “Taxed Enough Already”). No, Tea Party patriots rose up because the Republican machine “fractured” itself years ago by marginalizing its conservative base. The recent “slimdown” didn’t cause the fracture. It happened because of the fracture – because wayward Republicans have refused for years to stand up and fight for economic freedom and limited government, despite campaigning on those principles every election cycle. That’s how we got into this debt-ridden mess in the first place. They campaigned one way, but governed another.

It’s the establishment’s choice whether this fracture remains unfixed because the conservative grassroots will never give up the fight for freedom. Never. Never. Generations of our sons and daughters sent off to war to protect our freedom have paid too high a price for us to ever give up the fight.

As the Republican Establishment continues to propagate its “Live to fight another day” theme in all of its cave-ins to the wishes of Congressional Democrats, they would be wise to remember the words of the Great Communicator, Ronald Reagan, who said,

Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.

It is time for the Vichy Republicans to put down their pacifiers and MAN UP.

…If they want to keep their jobs.

Reaction to the House Budget Bill: Sarah…Plain [Spoken] and [Standing] Tall

pailinbiggulp2Yesterday afternoon, the Vichy Republican-led House of Representatives passed the “Bi-partisan” Budget Proposal, co-authored by Democrat Patti Murray and Former Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate, Paul Ryan.

By passing the bill the House Republicans turned their backs on the Conservative Base, which gave them control of the House through their votes during the Political Massacre known as Mid-Term Elections of 2010.

This current wave of attacks by Progressives, in both political partie,s is not some sort of new phenomena. They have been attempting to stifle Conservatism in American for quite some time now.

The following excerpt is taken from Ronald Reagan Speech titled “A Time For Choosing”.

This speech was given as a stump speech, at speaking engagements, and on a memorable night in 1964 in support of Barry Goldwater’s presidential campaign.

Almost 50 years later, The Great Communicators’ words ring as true now, as when they were first spoken.

We need true tax reform that will at least make a start toward restoring for our children the American Dream that wealth is denied to no one, that each individual has the right to fly as high as his strength and ability will take him…. But we cannot have such reform while our tax policy is engineered by people who view the tax as a means of achieving changes in our social structure….

Have we the courage and the will to face up to the immorality and discrimination of the progressive tax, and demand a return to traditional proportionate taxation? . . . Today in our country the tax collector’s share is 37 cents of every dollar earned. Freedom has never been so fragile, so close to slipping from our grasp.

Are you willing to spend time studying the issues, making yourself aware, and then conveying that information to family and friends? Will you resist the temptation to get a government handout for your community? Realize that the doctor’s fight against socialized medicine is your fight. We can’t socialize the doctors without socializing the patients. Recognize that government invasion of public power is eventually an assault upon your own business. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.

If all of this seems like a great deal of trouble, think what’s at stake. We are faced with the most evil enemy mankind has known in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. There can be no security anywhere in the free world if there is no fiscal and economic stability within the United States. Those who ask us to trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state are architects of a policy of accommodation.

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

Reagan gave Progressive Politicians Hissy Fits with his Optimistic Conservatism and his ability to deliver powerful speeches in a way that average Americans could clearly understand and relate to.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin remains popular in the Heartland of America and unpopular in the Northeast Corridor and on the Left Coast, for a that very same  reason:  She says out loud what average Americans are thinking.

For example, here is an article she has written for breitbart.com

No one can argue with the fact that Paul Ryan’s compromise budget bill raises taxes and increases spending. Show me one Republican who got elected on that platform. Spare America the Orwellian word games. If the government is taking money out of your pocket to fund its growing Big Brother operations, it’s a tax. Whether money is taken from you via your phone bill, your airline ticket, or your income, it’s a tax. If politicians can’t be honest about this, it’s time to go home.

The TEA Party’s very acronym stands for “Taxed Enough Already.” We sent these politicians to Congress in an historic landslide election in 2010 with a mandate to stop the runaway spending train bankrupting our nation, not to wave to it from the station or – heaven forbid – increase its speed. And yet, here we are still pretending that there are no real world consequences to running up near trillion dollar deficits year after year with no end in sight.

So, where does this leave us? We can sit back and accept the increased spending “Compromised Plan” with increases in taxes and spending, or we can charge ahead to at least preserve the very modest Sequester cuts American workers already fought for. If we go with the first option, we simply kick the can down the road yet again and wait for the inevitable real world consequences of bankruptcy (see Detroit for an example of what’s in store). Or we can go with the second option and probably get clobbered by the media (so what’s new?!).

The Political Establishment will no doubt tell us that a budget battle will distract us from the fight against Obamacare. But that excuse is just the latest variation in the Establishment’s old canard that they’re keeping their powder dry for the next big battle which never seems to materialize because they’re always too busy waving the white flag and following the path of least resistance until election day.

Enough is enough!

Here’s the deal, folks. The media will clobber us no matter what. We do not want more taxes. We want Congress to rein in spending and live within its means. (What’s so radical about that?!) Americans have gotten quite an education recently in wasteful government spending as we’ve all seen how the federal government can blow a billion dollars on a website that doesn’t work.

Do these members of Congress really think they can justify every tax dollar they spend and still demand more from hard working Americans by increasing our taxes?

2014 is just around the corner. If any member of Congress thinks raising taxes and increasing wasteful spending is a winning strategy to run on, then by all means they should vote for the Ryan budget. We’ll be watching.

Just as Reagan used the Bully Pulpit of the Presidency to bypass the Progressive Politicians and Main Stream Media of his time, and talked directly to the American People, so does Sarah Palin use today’s New Media very effectively.

The Arctic Fox is refreshing and Honest…and, she drives Progressives like John Boehner, Harry Reid, and President Barack Hussein Obama. Plus, she is not a private citizen, unencumbered by the Political Straight Jacket that her own partner placed upn her in the 2008 Elections.

Don’t like her? Too bad.

This is Sarah…Plain [spoken] and [standing] Tall.

The Return of the Arctic Fox: Sarah Palin, the Queen of All Media

palin-newsweekI sense a great disturbance in The Force. It is as if millions of Liberal voices screamed out in frustrated anguish…and then, started whining like babies.

The New York Post reports the reason for this prelude to a mass seppuku by Liberals and Vichy Republicans, alike (but…I repeat myself)

Sarah Palin is heading back to the world of reality TV.

The former US vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor will host a new weekly series on the Sportsman Channel — the network devoted exclusively to the hunting, fishing and shooting lifestyle — premiering in April 2014.

“Amazing America with Sarah Palin” will be “an anthology of stories that explore some of the most original, interesting — and sometimes inspiring — people, places and pastimes connected to America’s outdoors lifestyle,” according to the announcement.

Palin was previously the subject of the 2010 TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” which explored the state through the eyes of her and her family — husband Todd and their five children — and was canceled after one season.

She is also a contributor for Fox News Channel.

Okay. so, you’re saying..is that all? A sports show? Heck…that’s nothing.

Hold on a second, Maverick. Have you been hiding under a rock?

Tony Lee of Breitbart.com reports that…

The Duck Dynasty family welcomed former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to Louisiana Saturday while Palin was on a book tour for her best-selling blockbuster book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas.

“Happy, happy, happy!” Palin, who has often commented that her kids think the Duck Dynasty family is cooler than she is, wrote on her Facebook page. “Thanks to the Robertson family and the Duck Commander team for welcoming us to West Monroe, LA!”

Palin, who met with Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson at the NRA convention this year and urged the GOP to embrace life like the Duck Dynasty star, took a photo with members of the family and the Duck Commanders, including star Duck Commander Phil Robertson. Members of the Robertson family were holding copies of Palin’s book, which highlights American exceptionalism and embraces the role of God and faith in society. Those themes have helped make Duck Dynasty one of the most popular television shows in history.

Lee also reported that…

….Praising Duck Dynasty for its record ratings and its star for speaking out against the country’s abortion culture, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday said Republican leaders in Washington should be as bold as the Duck Dynasty cast and “wake up” to hear some duck calls from outside the Beltway.

In particular, Palin blasted Republican establishment leaders in Washington, saying Americans were “not rooting for your social truces.” Her comments were in reference to the truces that former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and prominent financial backers of New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie have called for.

She praised “Duck Commander” Willie Robertson for speaking out against abortion and said his type of boldness is what Americans “desire and deserve.”

‘Todd and I had a great time meeting Duck Commander Willie Robertson at this year’s NRA convention. And just the other day, Phil Robertson offered some of their refreshing trademark plainspoken talk that so many crave from our leaders in Washington,” she wrote on her Facebook page. “Speaking on the issue of the sanctity of life, Phil reminds us that all life is God-given, no matter how small or how special.”

Palin also praised the “Duck dudes Duck dudes for speaking their minds, and for their boldness in living the American dream of LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness — reminding us all that it’s only with freedom that anything is possible.”

“Like those 3:00 am wake up calls to join my dad duck hunting in the canoe before the school day began, it’s time our politicians wake up and hear some Duck calls from far outside the beltway,” she wrote. “The self-made, hugely successful businessmen (and women) of Duck Dynasty made history this week with the ‘most watched non-fiction series’ in TV history. What’s most interesting and inspiring is to see the number of young people tuning in to watch this all-American, hard working family — and learn the key to their success (as well as tips on how best to bag the ducks!).”

Why is someone, whom all “the smartest people in the room” predicted would be a has-been by now, more popular and more visible on the National Scene than she has ever been?

Back on May 20th of this year, Bernie Quigley, writing in his Blog on thehill.com, observed that

What Palin offers and represents is — to reawaken a phrase from the ’60s — an earth-based or reality-based cultural alternative or conservative counter-culture to the aggregate establishment of the East (and Hollywood).

Mr. Quigley is correct.

There is a Culture War, which has been going on in our country for a while now, between the Republican Establishment up in the Northeast, and Conservative Americans, living in the Heartland.

What’s has gotten under my skin for quite a while now, is the hubris involved.

Now, I have several dear Conservative friends in the NE. Heck, my bride is from Michigan. She moved down to Mississippi 30-plus years ago, and has never left. If fact, she used to perform in Civil War Battle Reenactments on the Confederate Side.

That being said, the “Northeast Republicans Club’s” standard, as exemplified by their last Convention, and the subsequent Presidential Candidate Nomination of Mitt Romney, is to look down their noses at the rest of the country, as if we are a bunch of hicks, because we still believe in Reagan Conservatism.

They view Sarah Palin and Phil Robinson and his family, the same way. They believe that anyone who is not from Hahvahd, some other Ivy League School, or, their region of the country, is a stupid bumpkin.

If being an American Success Story, like Sarah Palin and the Robinsons, is being a “stupid bumpkin”, I’m a 22 year old Dallas Cheerleader named Buffy.

I suggest that the self-proclaimed geniuses, up in the Beltway, leave the Northeast sometime and travel throughout the Heartland of this great country.

They might learn a thing or two about  Patriotic, God-fearing Americans…who still comprise the overwhelming majority of citizens in this country.

The Republican Civil War: Bold Colors Vs. Pale Pastels

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600Three years after the now-legendary Grassroots Movement known as “The Tea Party”, the Republican Party is in a state of disarray and discontent, to put it mildly. The Republican Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I have dubbed them, are desperately clinging to the Washingtonian Status Quo: reaching across the aisle, and going along to get along, known non-politically as “caving in”, while pushing potential Presidential Candidates for 2016 whose platforms are so similar to those of their potential Democrat Opponents are to be virtually indistinguishable.

Oblivious of their past failures (i.e., Dole, McCain, and Romney), while pursuing their milksop Political Philosophy, the Vichy Republicans, or GOPe, as an internet friend has named them, cling to their mission to hold onto their cushy Seats of Power, by playing an old, tired political game.

Make no mistake, they will defend the Washingtonian Status Quo to their last breath, and savage anyone who threatens it, with the help of their allies from “across the aisle”, the Democrats and their minions in the Main Stream media. Look at how they have attacked Former Alaskan Governor and Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin., and now the Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

They have called them both everything but Children of God.

However, they are not the first Conservative Republican Politicians to be attacked in this manner, in this generation.  That honor belonged to the greatest United States President in our lifetime.

On March 1, 1975, the Great Communicator and Future President of the United States, Ronald Wilson Reagan, spoke the following words at the 2nd Annual CPAC Convention. He may as well have been speaking yesterday.

I don ‘t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party” — when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.

It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

Let us show that we stand for fiscal integrity and sound money and above all for an end to deficit spending, with ultimate retirement of the national debt.

Let us also include a permanent limit on the percentage of the people’s earnings government can take without their consent.

Let our banner proclaim a genuine tax reform that will begin by simplifying the income tax so that workers can compute their obligation without having to employ legal help.

And let it provide indexing — adjusting the brackets to the cost of living — so that an increase in salary merely to keep pace with inflation does not move the taxpayer into a surtax bracket. Failure to provide this means an increase in government’s share and would make the worker worse off than he was before he got the raise.

Let our banner proclaim our belief in a free market as the greatest provider for the people. Let us also call for an end to the nit-picking, the harassment and over-regulation of business and industry which restricts expansion and our ability to compete in world markets.

Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing government’s coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine.

Our banner must recognize the responsibility of government to protect the law-abiding, holding those who commit misdeeds personally accountable.

And we must make it plain to international adventurers that our love of peace stops short of “peace at any price.”

We will maintain whatever level of strength is necessary to preserve our free way of life.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.

Timeless Advice.

Here’s some from ol’ KJ, if I may be so bold: you members of the Republican Establishment need to climb down off of your bar stools at the Congressional Country Club, and travel outside the Echo Chamber of the Beltway, where actual, average Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, trying to provide for their families, while attempting to make a better life for their children and grandchildren.

Come on down to Mississippi and sit a spell and have some barbecue, sweet tea, and ‘nana puddin’ with us average Americans, instead of hanging out with Obama at the White House and partaking of Arugula and Wagyu Beef.

You want to know why Folks like Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz are so popular with average, real-life Americans (as opposed to statistics in an anonymous poll)?

Check out the pictures from a week ago Saturday of the Veterans March on Washington. They were there, GOPe. Why weren’t you?

The Shutdown: The Surrender of the GOP Elite

Republicans Vs. Tea PartyUnited we stand, Divided we fall. – Aesop

As my mind began to attempt to wrap itself around the sorry events of yesterday, the ancient saying above, came to mind.

I was going to say that no other words describe the present-day Republican Party as well, but, that would be wrong. I can think of several words to describe the Republican Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I dubbed them, a while back. However, forbearance precludes me from using those words, lest I “lose my witness”. (That’s a Southern Evangelical thang, y’all. Ask somebody.)

The Republican Party, itself, is right on the verge of a Civil War. You have the Vichy Republicans, the Moderate Republican Elite, who firmly believe that they speak for all Republicans, even though most of them have been up on Capital Hill so long, their chauffeur has to use a Garmin GPS to find their way back to their constituency. (Pardon me…but do you have any Gray Poupon?)

Opposing the Vichy Republicans are the Tea Party, or Reagan, Republicans. These are public servants who were elected on the promise to cut government spending, and shrink the size of the Federal Government, while opposing the policies of President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) at every turn. The Tea Party Republicans are Conservatives who were placed in office during the Great Purge, otherwise known as the Mid-Term Elections of 2010.

They were, of course, named for the Grassroots Movement who put them in office.

As opposed to the Vichy Republicans, they truly seem to be down-to-earth individuals, with a servant’s heart, as was proven recently by Senators Mike Lee and Ted Cruz’s speaking to the Veterans last weekend, during their March on Washington, along with their gracious supporter, Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.

As a result of their popularity and attempts to go to Washington and get something done, the Tea Party Republicans have been vilified during the entire Government Shutdown Ordeal, by the Democrats, the Main Stream Media, and the Vichy Republicans.

The Vichy Republicans have responded to the Tea Party Republicans, as if they are jealous of and embarrassed by the zealousness and popularity of these political “newcomers”, who have stolen their thunder. These “do-gooders” cramp their style and disrupt the Washingtonian Status Quo.

Sen. Ted Cruz has been their biggest target, as his charisma and common sense have made him one of the Tea Party Movements favorite politicians. Just as Sarah Palin before him, he is being called everything but a child of God

Every since his “Not-a-Filibuster” against Obamacare, leading up to the Government Shutdown, the MSM, the Democrats, and the Vichy Republicans have formed a new “Axis” (to borrow a World War II term) , launching a smear campaign against the Senator From Texas, who dares to call them out, concerning their nefarious duplicity and political maneuvering.

It’s high time someone did.

As Former Representative, Lt. Col. Allen West (another Tea Party Favorite) observed yesterday,

I’m watching the spectacle occurring on the Senate floor. They have passed the 60 vote threshold for ending cloture. I want the American people to understand that tonight the Constitutional Republic we know as America has suffered a horrible defeat. Obamacare is not the law of the land. It is an edict handed down by a tyrant, not a President. The US Senate has just voted to affirm a new precedent that the executive branch can amend law without Congressional approval, and Congress allows it. The waivers, exemptions, and delays implemented by President Obama have delineated a separation, not of powers, but between the political elite and their cronies – and you, my fellow Americans. This is reprehensible, and we can expect even more bad behavior from a President that continues to spit on our Constitution and in our eyes…and smile. The incessant government spending continues with no solution for economic growth. Anyone voting for this tonight owes some explaining to Americans….but maybe not. As Obama stated, “I won.”

After Lt. Col. West watched that spectacle, he was treated to another, as the House of Representatives, led by the Spelunker of the House,  Cryin’ John Boehner, passed the Senate Bill, completing the capitulation, and another sell-out of the Republican Party’s Conservative Base.

The problem with all of the old Vichy Republicans, is the fact that they have been up on Capital Hill so long, the lines between ethical and unethical, and public-serving behavior and self-serving behavior, in their minds, have become blurred.

For instance, within Sen. McConnell/Sen. Reid’s bill,, it has been discovered that the bill includes a nearly $3 billion earmark for a Kentucky project.

Language in a draft of the McConnell-Reid deal (see page 13, section 123)shows a provision that increases funding for the massive Olmsted Dam Lock in Paducah, Ky., from $775 million to nearly $2.9 billion.

Nothing like a little pork to insure your re-election by the home folks, huh, Sen. McConnell?

It seems to me that the Republican Establishment have reacted to the resurgence of the Tea Party Republicans, like, excuse the expression, a bunch of cockroaches in the kitchen, scurrying for cover when the lights got turned on them.

When they regrouped from the initial shock, they became even more determined that no one, and I mean, no one, would disrupt “business as usual” in Washington, DC. Not Cruz, Lee, Palin, West, or any of us “smelly” Conservatives, living in America’s Heartland.

This obstinate “smartest people in the room” conceit, led directly to the spectacle that Lt. Col. West and the rest of us watched  yesterday.

The last time people saw something like that, was when the French Soldiers, defending their country from the German Invasion in World War II, dropped their rifles, and ran like scalded dogs.

Same thing.

Countdown to the Shutdown

government shutdownHere we are. The day before the Government shuts down.

Yesterday, the House of Representative sent their modified Continuing Resolution back to the Senate.  This latest Continuing Resolution calls for delaying by a year, key parts of Obamacare and the repeal of a tax on medical devices, in exchange for avoiding a shutdown.

Here’s a big secret: The Government will not actually shutdown.

Social Security checks will not be interrupted. Troops will remain at their posts. Doctors and hospitals will get their Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.

The fact of the matter is,virtually every essential government agency, like the FBI, the Border Patrol and the Coast Guard, will stay open. Furloughed federal workers probably would get paid, eventually. Transportation Security Administration officers would continue to man airport checkpoints.

The hitch is, sometime around late October or early November, the government might possibly run out of cash. If that were to happen, our government would be unable to pay all of its bills in full and on time for the first time in history if it couldn’t borrow more money.

Even though the Treasury Department probably would make interest payments to bondholders to prevent a catastrophic default on the debt, it wouldn’t be able to make other payments on time, which would mean delays in Social Security benefits and in paychecks for federal workers and troops in the field.

Congress must pass a temporary spending bill before Oct. 1, to prevent the “Shutdown”. To prevent a default, it must raise the $16.7 trillion cap on government borrowing.

Senator Ted Cruz knows exactly at whose feet this imminent shutdown lies…

“So far, [Reid] has essentially told the House of Representatives and the American people, ‘Go jump in a lake,'” Cruz said on “Meet The Press” on NBC. “He said, ‘I’m not willing to compromise, I’m not willing to even talk,’ His position is 100 percent of Obamacare must be funded in all instances, and, other than that, he’s going to shut the government down. I hope he doesn’t do that. If Harry Reid forces a government shutdown, that will be a mistake. I hope he backs away from that ledge that he’s pushing us towards, but that is his position.”

Cruz continued: “Twice Harry Reid has said, ‘We won’t even have a conversation. I refuse to compromise. We want to fund it all. We want to stick it on the American people. And we won’t budge.’ That’s not a reasonable position. And if we have a shutdown, it will be because Harry Reid holds that absolutist position, and essentially, holds the American people hostage.”

Cruz commended the House’s early Sunday vote to keep the government open and delay Obamacare for a year, despite Reid’s contention that the bill would be dead on arrival when the Senate resumes work Monday.

“President Obama has granted a delay for giant corporations,” Cruz said. “Every big company in America has gotten a one-year delay. If Harry Reid shuts the government down, what he will be saying is, “American families don’t get treated as well as we treat giant corporations.” Giant corporations don’t have to suffer, get a delay on the horns from Obamacare. But hardworking American families, he’s going to insist that they suffer now.”

Cruz, who last week made headlines with an epic 21-hour filibuster-like speech on the Senate floor railing against Obama’s landmark health care law, continued his crusade.

“The American people overwhelming reject Obamacare,” Cruz said. “They understand it’s not working. The only people who aren’t listening to the argument are the career politicians in Washington. It’s Harry Reid who wants to use brute political force.”

During his Senate speech, Cruz was criticized for comparing the funding of Obamacare to the rise of Hitler in Nazi Germany. On Sunday, he denied he made such a comparison.

“There have been many voices in Washington who’ve said, ‘We can’t do this, we can’t do this, we can’t do this.’ And I went through the contracts where, over and over again, when facing big challenges, Americans have risen to the occasion, whether it was the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War II, whether it was going to the moon under John F. Kennedy, or whether it was winning the Cold War,” Cruz said. “At every stage, there were voices of conventional wisdom who say, ‘This can’t be done.’ And at every stage, the American people rose to the occasion. And what I said is, ‘We should do the same here.’ We should look to, if we empower the American people, if we get Washington to listen to the people, that’s how we get this changed.”

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin made a good point on her Facebook Page:

A friend sent me this graphic today [see above]. It says it all. “If there’s a government shut down, who will spy on me, waste my money and have contempt for me?”

We could add so much more to this list, friends. For example, if the government shuts down, who will:

*block responsible resource development
*borrow more money from foreign countries to give to foreign countries
*mortgage my kids’ future to bail out their friends on Wall Street & finance their big government crony capitalism
*”misplace” IRS receipts and ledgers to the tune of tens of millions
*stockpile ammo at DHS
*commandeer pro athletes to testify in front of Congress while watching bureaucrats plead the Fifth

The Democrats themselves, along with their buds, the Vichy Republicans are responsible for this mess.

Last week, Rush Limbaugh pointed out that

Okay. So this Dan Pfeiffer guy, he’s in charge of White House communications, senior advisor to the president for strategery and communications, he says the Republicans are running around with a bomb in their vests and they want to blow up the economy, defund Obamacare and government shutdown and all that kind of stuff. Don’t forget, back in 2006 Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Pelosi, the rest of the Democrat Party, demanded that we defund our troops or they would vote against raising the debt ceiling.

Do you remember this? And Obama and Pfeiffer were asked about this. Well, wait a minute, now. How come, you know, Obama said it was purely political. He was against raising the debt limit, funding the troops and all that, and they said, “Well, that wasn’t political like the Republicans are doing now.” But these guys — Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid — they all threatened, demanded, that they wanted Bush to lose. They wanted America to lose the Iraq war. They threatened to defund the military operation in Iraq or they’d vote against the debt ceiling, raising it.

As I wrote yesterday, this whole fiasco is a cross between a game of ‘Chicken” and a game of “Dare”.

All brought about by a president who promises bi-partisanship…and who still wants it.   …as long as everybody keeps their mouths shut and does what he wants.

The Syria Situation: Are We “On the Eve of Destruction”?

atomic blastDon’t you understand what I’’m tryin’ to say

Can’t you feel the fears I’’m feelin’ today?

If the button is pushed, there’s no runnin’ away

There’’ll be no one to save, with the world in a grave

[Take a look around ya boy, it’s bound to scare ya boy]

And you tell me

Over and over and over again, my friend

Ah, you don’t believe

We’re on the eve

Of destruction.

– “Eve of Destruction” Barry McGuire

I know that every generation since my parents’, the Greatest Generation, have had to live with the specter of nuclear annihilation hanging over their heads.

It has been a fact of life.

I even remember the old “Duck and Cover” movies, which they showed to school children. Those movies advised kids to get under their desk in the event of a nuclear attack by a foreign power.

Also, when I was young, I remember having the stew scared out of me by a low budget movie titled “This is Not a Test”. It concerned a Sheriff’s Deputy, out on a highway stopping people and herding them into a tractor trailer, because a bunch of nuclear warheads were on their way.

Then, of course, there was “The Day After” a made-for-TV movie starring the late, great Jason Robards and Police Academy’s Steve Guttenberg.  Again, this movie was about a nuclear attack and it’s aftermath.

All these images had an impact on me as I got older.

Now, the Republican Senator from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, is trying to instill that same fear into all of us, over the Syria situation

“I don’t want another Iraq or Afghanistan war because that’s just not what we need to do,” he said, before outlining his support for a contained military strike designed to degrade Syria’s ability to deliver chemical weapons in the future and assist those who want to overthrow President Bashar Assad.

But Graham has heard the counterarguments. He knows many are skeptical that replacing Assad would install leadership that’s any more favorable to U.S. interests, even in the military friendly Palmetto State. In fact, a common refrain across the country is that the alternative could be far worse.

“Rebel opposition forces are our sworn enemies. We’ve spent billions of dollars in one country trying to wipe them off the face of the planet al-Qaida. And yet we employ the strategy of funding them and giving them weapons in Syria to get Assad?” asked Jesse Graston, who traveled nearly three hours from Rock Hill, S.C., and forked over the $12 in order to corner the senator.

Facing that strain of skepticism, Graham wound up his case on Syria intervention by raising the stakes considerably. He painted a frightening picture of cascading world events that would reverberate far beyond the borders of a civil war in one Middle Eastern country.

If the United States doesn’t deal with Syria, Graham promised Iran would acquire a nuclear weapon by 2014, the King of Jordan would be deposed and Israel would start preparing to protect itself.

“I believe that if we get Syria wrong, within six months — and you can quote me on this,” Graham said, pausing for dramatic effect. “There will be a war between Iran and Israel over their nuclear program.”

But it wouldn’t even end there, Graham surmised. Undoubtedly, he said ominously, the Iranians would share its nuclear technology with U.S. enemies.

“My fear is that it won’t come to America on top of a missile, it’ll come in the belly of a ship in the Charleston or New York harbor,” he said.

And now, for the first time in my 54 years, I am afraid of the President of the United States.

I am afraid that Barack Hussein Obama is leading us straight into World War III.

Lt. Col. Allen West, is as concerned as I am…

When you study history and understand the series of uncontrollable events that began WW I, we find ourselves not too far from that position now. It’s not just about taking military action against Assad (which in the press conference Obama seemed reticent about), it is about the unintended consequences. President Putin has vowed to continue arms shipments and support, and Iran is issuing orders to its Islamic terrorist dogs for release. The window of opportunity for a quick’ decisive response against Assad has closed. We cannot afford to destabilize another Middle Eastern country in favor of Islamists and establish terrorist sanctuaries. My recommendation? Instead of President Obama delivering a weak’ politically-scripted speech on Tuesday, read “The Guns of August” and learn something about leadership and strategic policymaking.

Growing up, my generation was always told that it only takes one weak, vacillating person in power, who hates America, pressing a button, to bring about total annihilation.

We just never dreamed that it could be the President of the United States.

The Syria Situation: Our Untrustworthy President

obamamyworkAs I was driving home yesterday, I was listening to “The Five”, on the Fox News Channel, Sirius XM 114.

Their resident Liberal Curmudgeon, Bob Beckel, started going off, as he has been all week, about the horrible lack of support for President Barack Hussein Obama’s plan to have a “limited engagement” against Syria’s President Assad, for allegedly killing his own citizens with chemical weapons.

What got my attention was that Beckel, obviously re-iterating the Liberal Memo of the day, that other presidents has gotten us involved in wars without Congressional approval. He, naturally, brought up Kosovo…and then, he brought up Grenada.

In October of 1983 the United States invaded the island of Grenada and overthrew the communist government in favor of a pro-Western one in a span of less than two months.

The murder of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop had triggered a breakdown in civil order that threatened the lives of American medical students who were living on the island. At the request of allied Caribbean nations, the US launched “Operation Urgent Fury,” sending the Marines to the north of the island and Army Rangers to the south.

Needless to say, our Brightest and Best kicked tail and took names taking the island by mid-December. An Interim Advisory Council was established and it governed Grenada until December 1984, when Herbert A. Blaize, the head of the New National Party, was made Prime Minister through parliamentary elections.

The United States President at the time was Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Beckel was wondering yesterday afternoon was the difference was between then and now.

There is a world of difference between Grenada and Syria.

First, Americans were in danger on the island of Grenada. The Syrians are killing each other.

Second, we tackled the “Grenada Situation” head on, sending the full force of our military assets on a mission to rescue our citizens.

Third, and most importantly, Americans, as a whole, trusted and supported President Ronald Reagan.

At this point, Obama has to wear a pork chop around his neck to get his two dogs to play with him.

Heck, even Pope Francis is calling ol’ Scooter out…

Pope Francis has written a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, host of the G-20 summit that President Obama is attending, urging world leaders to oppose a military intervention in Syria.

“To the leaders present, to each and every one, I make a heartfelt appeal for them to help find ways to overcome the conflicting positions and to lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution,” the Pope urged. “Rather, let there be a renewed commitment to seek, with courage and determination, a peaceful solution through dialogue and negotiation of the parties, unanimously supported by the international community.”

The move is the latest in a series of efforts by the Holy See to prevent military action in the already civil-war torn region. On Sunday, the Pope declared in his Angelus teaching that Saturday Sept. 7 would be an day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria. The prayer rally will take place in St. Peter’s Square from 7 p.m. to midnight, on the vigil of the birth of Mary, the Queen of Peace. “Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love,” the Pope asked people around the world. “She is our mother: may she help us to find peace; all of us are her children!”

Next Pope Francis took his views on Syria to Twitter. On Monday he tweeted, “War never again! Never again war!” and “How much suffering, how much devastation, how much pain has the use of arms carried in its wake.” On Tuesday, he tweeted “We want in our society, torn apart by divisions and conflict, that peace break out!” and “With utmost firmness I condemn the use of chemical weapons.” Today his social media message was, “With all my strength, I ask each party in the conflict not to close themselves in solely on their own interests. #prayforpeace.”

Cardinal Dolan and leaders of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops followed the Pope’s lead and wrote to every member of Congress today urging them to vote against military intervention in Syria. Yesterday the USCCB also wrote to President Obama, reminding him that the Pope and Middle Eastern Bishops “have made it clear that a military attack will be counterproductive, will exacerbate an already deadly situation, and will have unintended negative consequences.” Dolan also asked Catholics to urge their representatives in Washington to vote against a military strike.

The Vatican, which almost always stops short of taking sides in international issues, historically holds to just war theory, which requires a military defense meet a set of strict qualifications, including that “the damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain,” “all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective,” and ”the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated.”

On Tuesday night, Obama is finally going to address the nation , concerning his desire to insert us into Syria’s Civil War, on behalf of al Qaeda. Of course, he will not refer to them as al Qaeda, he will call them “REbels” and “freedom Fighters”.

And, his pleas will fall of deaf ears.

You see, after 5 years of intentionally attempting to turn American into just another socialist nation, while happily entertaining members of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the People’s House, Americans on both sides of the aisle are smelling what Obama’s Shoveling.

And, it sure doesn’t smell “like Teen Spirit”.

We are not the only ones who are telling the Lightbringer to go jump…House Members are, too.

Two new whip counts of House members by ABC News and the liberal Firedoglake web site show a majority of House members firmly or leaning against intervention. The Washington Post’s more conservative count stands at 204 “no” votes, only 13 short of the majority needed to kill the president’s request.

When it comes to a succinct overview of this whole mess and Obama’s lack of judgement, II wholeheartedly agree with the indomitable Sarah Palin, who recently wrote,

President Obama wants America involved in Syria’s civil war pitting the antagonistic Assad regime against equally antagonistic Al Qaeda affiliated rebels. But he’s not quite sure which side is doing what, what the ultimate end game is, or even whose side we should be on. Haven’t we learned? WAGs don’t work in war.

* We didn’t intervene when over 100,000 Syrians were tragically slaughtered by various means, but we’ll now intervene to avenge the tragic deaths of over 1,000 Syrians killed by chemical weapons, though according to the White House we’re not actually planning to take out the chemical weapons because doing so would require “too much of a commitment.”

* President Obama wants to do what, exactly? Punish evil acts in the form of a telegraphed air strike on Syria to serve as a deterrent? If our invasion of Iraq wasn’t enough of a deterrent to stop evil men from using chemical weapons on their own people, why do we think this will be?

* The world sympathizes with the plight of civilians tragically caught in the crossfire of this internal conflict. But President Obama’s advertised war plan (which has given Assad enough of a heads-up that he’s reportedly already placing human shields at targeted sites) isn’t about protecting civilians, and it’s not been explained how lobbing U.S. missiles at Syria will help Syrian civilians. Do we really think our actions help either side or stop them from hurting more civilians?

* We have no clear mission in Syria. There’s no explanation of what vital American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved anywhere without one. And where’s the legal consent of the people’s representatives? Our allies in Britain have already spoken. They just said no. The American people overwhelmingly agree, and the wisdom of the people must be heeded.

* Our Nobel Peace Prize winning President needs to seek Congressional approval before taking us to war. It’s nonsense to argue that, “Well, Bush did it.” Bull. President Bush received support from both Congress and a coalition of our allies for “his wars,” ironically the same wars Obama says he vehemently opposed because of lack of proof of America’s vital interests being at stake.

* Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his “red line” promise regarding chemical weapons.

As I said before, if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting “Allah Akbar” at each other, then let Allah sort it out.

Mr. President…it all boils down to a matter of trust. And, the overwhelmingly majority of Americans simply do not trust you.

The Syria Situation: “For, I Have Promises to Keep”…

michelleobama2You’re the President of the United States. Over the past few years, as part of Smart Power!, and your promised outreach to the Muslim World, you have met several times with representatives from the Muslim Brotherhood and other Radical Muslim Terrorist groups. Over course, no one will ever know that, as a judge has now ruled that the White House Visitors’ Log may remain private and sealed from view.

You recently announced that President Assad of Syria had released chemical weapons on his own people, and, in the process, he crossed the “thin red line” that you warned him about crossing, several months ago.

So now, you are ready to sooth your bruised ego by launching U.S. Navy Missiles into Syria, in what you euphemistically refer to as “a surgical strike”.

In order to accomplish your goal. you sought to gather support from America’s European Allies, the UK, France, and Germany.

German told you to go jump. Then, England’s Parliament formed an Amen Chorus, backing up what Germany said, much to the chagrin of Prime Minister Cameron. That leaves you with France, who may or may not desert you.

Given their War Record, it’s even money whether they will stand by you, or drop their rifles, in the manner in which they always do..

If you are Barak Hussein Obama, you are asking yourself why you cannot get any support from America’s traditional allies.

Well, Mr. President, perhaps these other world leaders do not think that throwing over Assad to replace him with an al Qaeda-led government is  a good idea.

And, they would be right.

The problem for Obama is the fact that he has acted like a horse’s rear on the world stage. His alligator mouth has written a check that his humming bird rear end cannot cash.

You thought that you were a beloved president. Then, you saw the poll which shows that 8o % of Americans oppose your proposed attack on Libya.

That’s a bummer, because during the trips which the Radical Muslim Leaders made to the White House. you promised them “things”, such as your support for Arab Spring. of which the overthrow of Assad in Syria is simply another “show of democracy”. (*COUGH*COUGH*)

You know in your heart, that, if you take out Assad, the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda will “owe you” and therefore, be willing to come to the Negotiation Table, perhaps gaining you another Nobel Peace Prize.

So, you go on TV on Saturday, and tell the world, that you are going to let Congress decide whether to attack Syria, or not.

Even though, you are

leaving the door open to moving ahead with a military strike on Syria even if Congress votes against it, adding to the confusion over the president’s evolving position.

…One senior State Department official, though, told Fox News that the president’s goal to take military action will indeed be carried out, regardless of whether Congress votes to approve the use of force.

Other senior administration officials said Obama is merely leaving the door open to that possibility. They say he would prefer that Congress approve a military attack on the Assad regime, in response to its alleged use of chemical weapons, and will wait to see what Congress does before making any final decisions on authorizing military force.

Yet the possibility that Obama would move ahead without the support of Congress is sure to stir confusion among lawmakers, who had – for the most part – applauded his decision to seek their input first, though others claimed he was “abdicating his responsibility” by punting to Congress. It would raise questions about why he decided to seek congressional input at all, after having moved military assets into position immediately, and then waited days and possibly weeks for a debate in Washington.

The senior State Department official told Fox News that every major player on the National Security Council – including the commander-in-chief – was in accord Friday night on the need for military action, and that the president’s decision to seek a congressional debate and vote was a surprise to most if not all of them.

However, the aide insisted the request for Congress to vote did not supplant the president’s earlier decision to use force in Syria, only delayed its implementation.

“That’s going to happen, anyway,” the source told Fox News, adding that that was why the president, in his Rose Garden remarks, was careful to establish that he believes he has the authority to launch such strikes even without congressional authorization.

Other senior administration officials, outside of the Department of State, would not confirm as much, telling reporters only that the door had been left open for the president to proceed without congressional authorization.

This is what is known as a political ploy, boys and girls. Obama does not care what Congress thinks. He has already made promises to his new “Allies” which he intends to keep.

Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin  nailed it yesterday, as she usually does, during this post on her Facebook Page:

* We have no clear mission in Syria. There’s no explanation of what vital American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved anywhere without one. And where’s the legal consent of the people’s representatives? Our allies in Britain have already spoken. They just said no. ‘Cuda is right. America has no vital interest in inserting ourselves into a Middle Eastern Civil War, in which there are no “Good Guys”.

HOWEVER, PRESIDENT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA DOES.

May God protect us.

Reince Preibus: “We Need Comprehensive Immigration Reform.” Palin, for Conservative Base: “See ya later, Gator?”

palin-newsweekI have written a lot lately about the Senate’s Gang of 8, and the egregious Amnesty Bill, which the Senate passed last Thursday. As I have written, this bill, if it becomes law, will change America’s Political Landscape forever….and the GOP Establishment seem quite pleased about it, as is their nature as “Vichy Republicans”.

Last Friday, Former Alaska Governor and, now, Fox News Contributor, Sarah Palin wrote the following on her Facebook Page

Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.

Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.

Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Also, last Friday, Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, was interviewed by CNN on the subject of the Amnesty Bill, now, in the House’s hands.

Here is what he said,

We need comprehensive immigration reform. I don’t think we can continue to drift along with this mess of immigration laws that we have. And a mess that in many regards has been the results of our government not even enforcing the laws that are in place. There is plenty of blame to go around for why we are in this position, but I think it’s about time that we address it.

…it’s clear that there is pretty broad consensus in the party, in the Republican Party, that we need comprehensive immigration reform.

…My understanding is that the House is going to draft its own version of an immigration bill that they see as either a better fix for comprehensive immigration reform, or something that is reflective of the Republican majority of the House, and then potentially go to conference, and potentially have a conclusion.

…I know the leadership in the House is committed to putting something pretty comprehensive together that’s going to address the issue.

…One thing I think is pretty clear. We wouldn’t have been in this place without Republicans being at the table pushing for immigration reform. And I think this conversation would never be happening without Marco Rubio.

Although I officially began this Blog in April of 2010, I have been an observer of American Politics since I was in college, where I was the Radio News Director for the on-campus station, in the late 1970s, with a staff of 20 students, who received college credit for doing 5 minute newscasts.

Ever since President Ronald Reagan’s last day in office, the Republican Establishment has been intentionally distancing themselves from the very voter base who propelled Reagan to two terms as President.  The Silent Majority, is how Richard Nixon referred to us. We’ve also been called “The Sleeping Giant”.

We are American Conservatives, living in the Heartland of our country.

Allow me to give a general description of us for those of you up in the Northeastern Corridor and out on the Left Coast:

We are overwhelmingly Christian, unabashedly Patriotic, hard-working, loving, charitable, family oriented men and women, who still believe in the American Dream.

We want our children and grandchildren to “have it better than we had it”, a phrase which was the hope of our parents generation, as well.

We are farmers, plumbers, machinists, car salesmen, teachers, doctors, nurses,  lawyers, struggling entrepreneurs and successful businessmen. We are ministers, preachers, rabbis, and priests. We are young, old, White, Black, Asian, and Hispanic.

We love God, family, and country. We will give you the shirt off our backs. When disasters happen, we’re the first ones there, and the last ones to leave.

Since the presidency of Ronaldus Magnus, America’s Heartland Conservatives, like myself, have faithfully supported the Republican Party, receiving nothing in return, except the upturn of their self-proclaimed sophisticated, snotty noses, as time and time again, they force-fed milk toast Moderate Presidential Candidates down our throats, instead of take-charge, can-do Conservatives.

The Republican Establishment, who has evidently enjoyed the smell of what they have been shoveling on us all the years, are so convinced of their own superior intellects, they remind me of the late, great Ted Knight’s portrayal of Judge Smails, in the classic movie “Caddyshack”, starring the equally late, great Rodney Dangerfield, the great Bill Murray, and the now-washed-up, forgettable Chevy Chase.

Well, I have some news for these charter members of the DC Country Club, and their newest member, Marco “Judas” Rubio:

You are fooling no one. We know that is not rain that we are feeling on our legs.

Speaker Boehner, you and all the other Members of the GOP Elite Country Club had better consider this: 90% of those to whom you wish to grant Amnesty, will vote Democrat, no matter how many empty promises you make, and how much free stuff you give them. Also, even if they would, what good will 30,000 new voters do you, if you lose your entire Conservative Voter Base?

Republican Members of the House of Representatives, if you are tone-deaf enough and downright stupid enough to pass this Amnesty Bill, then, come 2014, I hope y’all have a trade to fall back on, because payback will be…well…you know.

Until He Comes,

KJ
