Comedian Michelle Wolf doubled down on her personal attacks on Sarah Sanders during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after several journalists came to the White House press secretary’s defense and criticized the comedian’s jokes.

Several attendees at Saturday night’s annual dinner in Washington, D.C., sat in silence as Wolf launched her attacks on President Trump and members of his administration. Her jokes drew laughs and gasps when she took a jab at Sanders, who was at the dinner as a representative of the Trump administration and sitting just feet away as Wolf commented on Sanders’ appearance, criticized her job performance and even her Southern roots.

“I have to say I’m a little starstruck,” Wolf joked as she compared Sanders to “The Handmaid’s Tale” character Aunt Lydia.

“I actually really like Sarah. I think she’s very resourceful,” Wolf said. “She burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.”

“I’m never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders,” the comedian continued. “Is it Sarah Sanders? Is it Sarah Huckabee Sanders? Is it Cousin Huckabee? Is it Auntie Huckabee Sanders? Like, what’s Uncle Tom but for white women who disappoint other white women?”

Sanders grimaced at the joke, but remained at her seat as she endured the blistering attack.

Several journalists came to Sanders’ defense Saturday and Sunday after the Correspondents’ Dinner and criticized Wolf — a writer for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” — for attacking the press secretary’s looks. The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman commended Sanders for absorbing “intense criticism” brought on by Wolf.

“That @PressSec sat and absorbed intense criticism of her physical appearance, her job performance, and so forth, instead of walking out, on national television, was impressive,” Haberman tweeted.

…Wolf defended Sunday her attacks on Sanders, responding to Haberman: “Hey mags! All these jokes were about her despicable behavior. Sounds like you have some thoughts about her looks though?”

The comedian also claimed she was giving Sanders a compliment Saturday night when talking about her makeup.

To call that heifer a comedian is like calling Stormy Daniels an actress.

Saturday Night, the Liberal Main Stream Media jumped the wrong shark.

President-elect Trump will never be able to please the Main Stream Media.

Nor should he have to.

The Presidency of the United States of America is the most important leadership position on the Face of God’s Green Earth.

The Main Stream Media knows that.

The problem is, the Main Stream Media, like the rest of their Modern American Liberal Brothers and Sisters, are willing participants in the never-ending National Temper Tantrum being thrown over the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President by us rubes here in Flyover Country.

Last Saturday Night, they took their anger out on Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The MSM is so upset that they have abandoned any pretense of subjectivity, publishing stories about Trump and his Administration, that have all of the veracity of a “Batboy” Article published in the Weekly World News, which used to be available at the checkout lane of the grocery store, but has now morphed into a website.

The Main Stream Media not only have lost their meal ticket with the defeat of the Queen of Mean, Hillary Clinton, but they also have yet to come face-to-face with the reality of  Donald J. Trump not only being the President of the United States of America, but being a more popular one, according to the polls, than Barack Hussein Obama,

Trump has been treating the Liberals in the Main Stream Media like a school of Largemouth Bass, baiting the hook with the promise of a big announcement or story, causing them to pack the room wherever Trump is speaking, only to find out that they have been used to gain free publicity for Mr. Trump and whatever cause he is trying to forward that day.

In fact, Trump has made the Media look tremendously naïve and stupid on numerous occasions of the last 16 months, in scenes reminiscent of Lucy Van Pelt promising to hold the football for Charlie Brown to kick, only to pull it away at the last minute leaving a helpless Charlie Brown to wipe out, tumbling head over heels.

The Main Stream Media have not been in control of the dissemination of the news since Inauguration Day 2017…and they know it.

Between Trump’s playing them like Charlie Daniels playing a fiddle and average Americans becoming their own reporters through the use of Social Media, “professional journalists” have watched their influence over the daily lives of Americans dwindle and diminish right before their very eyes.

And, quite frankly, they don’t like it one bit.

That is why they continue to try to bring down Trump.

Saturday Night’s White House Correspondents Dinner’s “comedian” was reminiscent of a child being vulgar in order to act like a grown-up.

The White House Correspondents have been behaving like spoiled little brats who need a timeout.

So, Mr. President, I suggest that you give them one.

Suspend the Daily Press Briefings, until they decide to behave like professionals and those in charge of Saturday Night’s fiasco personally apologize to Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

If Jim Acosta and the rest of those miscreants want respect, they need to treat you and your staff with respect.

Because, after Saturday Night’s display, average Americans view them and their attempt at “humor” as the stuff farmers get on the bottom of their boots in the pasture.

Something to avoid.

And, no viewers mean no ratings which mean no advertisers which means no jobs.
