A “Conversation” With Dr. King: A “Memorial Service” That Turned Into a Political Rally

mlkdreamOn August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, said the following while delivering a very famous speech at the base of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Unfortunately, sir…we aren’t there , yet.

If you were watching  yesterday’s 50th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony, staged at the same place  where you gave your speech, sir, I know you were sadly shaking youe head at the all the divisiveness and the blame game, which was played…all day long.

Even before the Ceremony began, the first Black President of these United States, Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) compared following you, after you gave your famous speech all those years ago, to following Christ.

Evidently, our Manchurian President is not the Christian he claims to be, or he would know that Jesus Christ is alive, and you are not. However, when you were alive, and , hopefully, even now, your purpose was/is to serve Him.

During the day’s festivities, there was awful lot of whining going on, about how things have not improved enough for America’s Black Population.

The speakers, who included everyone from past and present presidents to professional race baiters, used the solemn occasion to score political points, claiming that you would feel the same way they did, about subjects ranging from illegal aliens to gun control to “gay marriage”.

What was billed as a day to honor you, Dr. King, quickly turned into a political rally.

Heck, average Americans, like myself, thought we were watching a replay of the Democratic Political Rally, known as the Paul Wellstone Memorial Service.

It was just that crass.

Unfortunately, sir, those who claimed to be speaking for you yesterday, focused on the “color of their skin” part of your speech, delivered 50 years ago, instead of “the content of their character”.

One of the speakers, referred to 17 year old Trayvon Martin, a lost young man who jumped and almost murdered a community watch volunteer,as a martyr, because the man being sat upon and having his head smashed into the sidewalk, had to shoot the young thug wannabe, in order to save his own life.

The things that seemed to be of value to the assembled crowd perplexed me, Dr. King. And, I believe that you would have felt the same way.

Former President  Jimmy Carter said that you would be disappointed at the high unemployment rate among Blacks.

I happen to agree with the old peanut farmer, but not as to why you would be upset.

A couple of years ago, I worked at our county’s State Employment Center Office.

While at the Employment Office, I was able to observe Americans, both Black and White, down on their luck, struggling to find work and survive in this economy. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of “unemployed ” who came to this particular office were Black.

I saw Black American Families whose existence living on the Government Dole, had become generational.

It is these people whom Obama and the Democrats have hypnotized into believing that Uncle Sugar loves them, and is their only solution to surviving a stifling existence.

They are so, so wrong.

The strength and vitality of America does not come from the benevolence of a Nanny-state Federal Government.

As the greatest American President of my  lifetime, Ronald Reagan said:

The nine words you never want to hear are:  I’m from the Government and I’m here to help.

Being enslaved to the Government Dole steals one’s ambition.  It takes away any impetus or desire to create a better life for yourself and your family, to challenge yourself to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and pursue the American Dream.  It makes you reliant on a politically-motivated spider’s web full of government bureaucrats who view you and your family as job security.

I watched American citizens trapped in this web of government bureaucracy,  so numbed of any initiative that they once had, that they seemed offended that they actually had to prove that they inquired about three jobs that week in order to keep their “benefits”.  Others seemed puzzled that they had to search through the state data base and pick out a job that they wanted to talk to an interviewer about receiving a referral to, and weren’t just simply handed a job when they walked through the door.

Instead of moving forward, by exercising the self-reliance that you preached so well, these people I saw, were content on being “taken care of” by Uncle Sugar, as if being held down by their own poor, miserable circumstance, was a good thing.

As a Republican, I am sure that it would have offended you, Dr. King, to hear the tenants of  Marxism, i.e., “sharing the wealth” and Class Envy, being “preached” to the same Black Americans whom you tried so mightily to raise up and inspire.

And, while I am at it, sir, I wonder what you would say about the two young Black men who beat an 88 year old, Word War II Veteran to death. And, if that was not enough, one of the thugs and his father are now claiming that the kids beat “Shorty” to death because of a bad Crack deal, which is of course, a blatant lie.

Yes sir, Dr King, I am sorry to tell you that racism and injustice is still going on in America. Unfortunately, it will not end any time soon, There are two many race baiters profiting off of it.

Including, the President of the United States.

The part of your magnificent speech about “the content of their character” was purposefully ignored by the professional race baiters and assorted politicians  (but, I repeat myself) yesterday.

Dr. King, your call for self-reliance  took a back seat to their self-serving agenda, a long time ago.

Until He Comes,

Oprah, Emmett, and Trayvon: The Rich, The Innocent, and The Lost

tillmartin

The other day, during a television interview, Talk Show Queen and Obama sycophant Oprah Winfrey made the following statement…

It’s so easy during this time, Trayvon Martin, Trayvon Martin parallel to Emmett Till, let me just tell you. In my mind, same thing. But you can get stuck in that and not allow yourself to move forward and to see how far we’ve come.

Let’s examine both stories, shall we?

Emmett Till grew up in a working-class neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. Even though he had attended a segregated elementary school, he was unprepared for the level of segregation he encountered in Mississippi. His mother warned him that race relations were different where his cousins lived, but Emmett enjoyed pulling pranks. On August 24, while standing with his cousins and some friends outside a country store in Money, Mississippi, Emmett bragged to his buddies that his girlfriend back home was white. Emmett’s friends did not believe him, and dared Emmett to go ask the white woman sitting behind the store counter for a date.

Emmett went in, bought some candy, and on the way out was heard saying, “Bye, baby” to the woman. There were no witnesses in the store, but Carolyn Bryant, the woman behind the counter, claimed that he grabbed her, made lewd advances, and then wolf-whistled at her as he nonchalantly left the store.

The woman’s husband, Roy Bryant, the owner of the store, returned from a business trip a few days later and found out how Emmett had spoken to his wife. Insanely mad, he and his brother-in-law J.W. Milam, went to the home of Till’s great-uncle, Mose Wright, in the early morning hours of August 28, 1955. The pair demanded to see the boy. Despite his uncle’s pleas to leave him alone, they forced Emmett into their car. After driving around in the Memphis night, and perhaps beating Till in a toolhouse behind Milam’s residence, they drove him down to the Tallahatchie River.

14-year-old Emmett Till, an African American from Chicago, was brutally murdered that fateful morning. During the assault, the two men made Emmett carry a 75-pound cotton-gin fan to the bank of the Tallahatchie River and ordered him to take off his clothes. They then beat him nearly to death, gouged out his eye, shot him in the head, and threw his body, tied to the cotton-gin fan with barbed wire, into the river.

HIs body was recovered three days later,  but was so disfigured that Mose Wright could only identify it by an initialed ring. Authorities wanted to bury the body quickly, but Till’s mother, Mamie Bradley, requested it be sent back to Chicago. After seeing the mutilated remains, she decided to have an open-casket funeral so that all the world could see what racist murderers had done to her only son. Jet, an African American weekly magazine, published a photo of Emmett’s corpse, and soon the mainstream media picked up on the story.

In the case of Trayvon Martin, it was the “victim” who was the attacker.

With a single punch, 17-year-old High School Football Player Trayvon Martin decked Neighborhood Watch Volunteer, George Zimmerman. Then, Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk, over and over again, while Zimmerman pleaded for him to get off of him.

Zimmerman had turned around and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from behind, the two exchanged words and then Trayvon punched him in the nose, sending him to the ground, and began beating him.

Zimmerman said he was on his way to the grocery store when he spotted Trayvon walking through his gated community.

Trayvon was visiting his father’s fiancée, who lived there. He had been suspended from school in Miami after being found with an empty marijuana baggie. Miami schools have a zero-tolerance policy for drug possession.

When Zimmerman first spotted Trayvon, he called police and reported a suspicious person, describing Trayvon as black, acting strangely and perhaps on drugs.

Zimmerman got out of his SUV to follow Trayvon on foot. When a dispatch employee asked Zimmerman if he was following the 17-year-old, Zimmerman said yes. The dispatcher told Zimmerman he did not need to do that.

Zimmerman told the dispatcher that he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words.

Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone. Trayvon then said, “Well, you do now” and punched Zimmerman in the nose.

Trayvon started slamming Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk, while hitting him with Martial-Arts Style blows.

After Trayvon refused to stop, Zimmerman  shot Trayvon once in the chest.

When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a swollen lip and had bloody lacerations to the back of his head.

Paramedics gave him first aid but he said he did not need to go to the hospital. He got medical care the next day.

And, we all know what happened after that. Trayvon became a cause celebre…a focal point by which American’s Race Baiters, including the President of the United States, could grab the spotlight and, somehow, try to become relevant again.

These Race Baiters, supported by our own Federal Government, pushed for a charge of murder against Zimmerman, even though all the evidence pointed overwhelmingly to self-defense. They didn’t want justice. They wanted a lynching.

And, they almost had one. The judge assigned to the case was a lifelong Liberal and Obama Supporter. If the evidence had not been so overwhelmingly in Zimmerman’s favor, he would have been buried under the jail.

The Liberal Media had him convicted before the trial even started. Beginning with NBC’s editing of an audio tape of the attack, to make it seem as if Zimmerman was guilty.

The president even became personally involved in this local matter, proclaiming that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon.

At least he resembled him with the “chooming” part….I don’t know if the president likes “Purple Drank” or not.

And now, Oprah, desperate to create buzz for her new movie, “The Butler”, comes out with the most ignorant comparison I have seen in a long while.

Emmett Till was an innocent young boy.

Trayvon Martin was a dope-smoking, Purple Drank-drinking, vulgarity-spewing (as the Daily Caller proved, by publishing his tweets), 17-year-old High School Football playing, Gangsta Wannabe.

Hardly someone to hold up as a role model, except if you want an entire generation to be stuck in the same dead-end, hopeless, government-dependent existence that Trayvon was headed toward, when his young life ended.

The stories of Emmett Till and Trayvon Martin did have two things in common, though: they ended much too soon and, they both ended because of ignorance and hatred.

Emmett’s life ended because of the ignorance and hatred of others.

Trayvon’s ended because of his own.

“By the Content of His Character”

MSNBC…you know, the Cable Network that airs propaganda as news?

Well, it turns out that they did not air one negative story about President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) for one week before the November 6th Presidential Election.

I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.

And what’s more, according to Richard Wolfee, VP and Executive Editor of that pitiful excuse for a cable news channel, all those ugly Republicans are nothing but a bunch of RAAACISTS!!!

There is the question about John Kerry, but I think now that John McCain has sunk his teeth in, he’s made it about presidential authority, and, frankly, it’s outrageous that there is this witch hunt going on the right about these people of color, let’s face it, around this president. Eric Holder, Valerie Jarrett, now Susan Rice. Before it was Van Jones. This is not about who is hawkish in the same way John McCain is about foreign policy because if you look at Iran and Libya, Susan Rice checks those boxes. This is a personal vendetta.

This isn’t the first time this Liberal Idiot (but, I repeat myself) has cried RAACIIIST! over criticism of his messiah. Back on August 31st, he said

The interesting question is: What is it about this president that has stripped away the veneer of respect that normally accompanies the Office of the President? Why do Republicans think this president is unpresidential and should dare to request this kind of thing? It strikes me that it could be the economic times, it could be that he won so big in 2008 or it could be, let’s face it, the color of his skin. This is an extraordinary reaction to a normal sequence of events.

About that “veneer of respect”, Dickie…Obama has not earned any. Americans still respect the office, but not the occupier.

Just like you and your ilk “respected” George W. Bush.

Right after Obama’s 2010 State of the Union Address, Keith Olbermann, while still employed by MSNBC, attacked critics of the Lightbringer as, you guessed it, RAAACIIIST!!!

…But our winners, these guys, assessing not the speech but the president himself. Eric Erickson, “cocky”; John Stossel said he hoped the president would admit he was, quote, arrogant. Jay Nordlinger, “looks arrogant whether he is arrogant or not”; Mark Thiessen, “defensive, arrogant”; John Hood, “flippant” and “arrogant.” Glenn Beck, “like a punk.”

Here’s a little secret: gathering sadly from witnessing it my whole life even from some in my own family, when racist white guys get together and they don’t want to be caught using any of the popular epithets that are in use every day in this country about black people, there’s a chance one of them or worse still a white guy who doesn’t get it, might wander in and hear the conversation. When there’s a risk even in saying uppity or forgetting his place, the racist white guys revert to euphemisms and code words and among the code word that they think they’re getting away with are “cocky, flippant, punk, and especially arrogant.”

On July 18th, during the heart of the campaign, Breitbart.com’s John Nolte wrote the following

…By screaming racism (which is what “birther” really means) and claiming perfectly valid criticism of Obama is “dangerous,” this is how the media protects Obama from effective criticism and spins that criticism around into an attack against Republicans.

In 2008, using this partisan tactic, the media was able to intimidate and cow John McCain into submission. In fact, when Sarah Palin started hitting Obama for his relationship with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, out of whole cloth the media made up the charge that someone at a Palin rally screamed, “Kill him!,” in reference to Obama.

You see, this is how the corrupt media attempts to snuff out criticism Obama can’t weather. If they can’t call the criticism racist they call it dangerous. And if they have to, the media will simply create a narrative based on what they know is a lie.

The corrupt media refuses to vet Obama, because they know that if they did, he would lose. This means that they must also stop Republicans from discussing Obama’s past by any means necessary. And this includes bullying Obama’s critics by declaring their criticism “racist” and “dangerous.”

Here’s the thing: Until the Replicans grow some…errr…intestinal fortitude and start calling a sp…err…a liar, a liar, Liberal Idiots like MSNBC and the rest of the MSM will be able to get away with the fallacious defense of racism in covering up the biggest lightweight to ascend to the Presidency of the United States of America since Jimmy Carter.

On August 28, 1963,  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, in which he said,

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Unfortunately, sir, we are not there, yet. If we were, Mitt Romney would be the President-elect.

Campaign 2012: Racist Allusions and the “N” Word

The Democratic and Republican Conventions have not even been held yet, and the Democrats are panicking…Big Time.

Joe Biden only said “chains”. MSNBC Host Toure’ (Who?) invoked the “N” word.

Mediaite.com reports:

On Thursday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Cycle the group discussed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney‘s assertion that President Obama should “take [his] campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.” Co-host Touré saw what he believes to be explicit racial connotations beneath what Romney was saying, calling it the “niggerization” of the campaign.

“That really bothered me,” he said. “You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.”

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization,’” Touré said to the apparent shock of his co-panelists. “You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

Naturally this led to a battle between Touré and conservative co-host S.E. Cupp. She took particular issue with the fact that Touré admitted that VP Joe Biden‘s “chains” comments were divisive, but is now calling Romney a “racist” for saying the Obama campaign is “angry.”

“Do you see how dishonest that is?” she asked.

Touré denied calling anyone a racist, which prompted Cupp to say, “Certainly you were implying that Mitt Romney and the base will respond to this dog-whistle, racially-charged coding, and hate Obama, the angry black man?”

“Absolutely,” he replied.

“That’s so irresponsible,” Cupp answered back.

“This is not a revolutionary comment,” Touré later said. “This is a constituency all-white party that rejects the black vote.”

“You have two white guys in Joe Biden and Mitt Romney,” Cupp clarified. “Joe Biden made the overtly racial comment and has a history of making bigoted remarks. Mitt Romney was responding to the comment. Yet he is the one responsible for the whole Republican history of racism in politics?”

“That’s not what Touré is saying,” co-host Krystal Ball interjected. “You’re twisting his words.”

“No, he can speak for himself,” Cupp shot back.

“He’s using the playbook Republicans have been using for decades now,” Touré concluded.

So, who is this young…ummm…genius?…no…that’s not the word…I’ll think of it in a minute.

Touré is the author of four books, including Who’s Afraid of Post-Blackness? What It Means to Be Black Now. He is the co-host of MSNBC’s show The Cycle. He is also the host of the Fuse show The Hiphop Shop and On the Record and is a professor at NYU’s Clive Davis School of Recorded Music.

This isn’t the few time that this young man has been…ummm…controversial.

Breitbart.com gives us the lowdown:

During a discussion on the political atmosphere after the Aurora shooting, Toure said he had “hoped” that the whole incident would provoke a “Trayvon Martin situation,” but that in the end it all boiled down to what he felt was the common racist attitude of making sure that “law abiding white people have access to guns” while “black criminals” don’t.

How Toure got from a white shooter with no past run-ins with either law enforcement or mental health professionals and who shot up a mostly white audience to the idea that all people care about afterward is keeping African Americans from observing their Second Amendment rights is anybody’s guess.

Here is what he said in the July 23 show:

We never have this debate until we have a tragedy and then its over emotionalized, its over fraught [sic], you can’t have a substantive debate when everybody’s so sensitive.

Day to day crime, as we’ve talked about, has fallen over the last 20 years so I think the average voter feels less of the fear that would motivate lawmakers to do something. These spectacular mass killings are way up from when our dads were kids — I think there was something like 11 in the 50s and 60s and over 550 in the last part of the lat century a decade ago.

So, those things sort of make us think about these things, but we understand those are outlier crimes, somebody going to shoot up the mall or shoot up the school. I would hope that it would be something like a Trayvon Martin situation that would make people think, ‘Wow. wrongful death, even though it’s a legal gun owner. How do we move forward from this situation?’ But so much of this issue, I think comes down to, ‘Let’s make sure law abiding white people are able to have access to guns and make sure that black criminals are not and that becomes part of the locus of the problem.

And we don’t even want to talk about that sort of racial, black sort of bottom of it all, but that’s definitely part of it.

In his short tenure at MSNBC, Toure has unleashed a torrent of left-wing tropes. Early in July he was all atwitter over Obama mandates hoping to see big daddy government grown immensely. The previous month he asserted that any criticism or interruptions of Obama are based solely on the fact that he’s black. On yet another show he outrageously hinted that the military might have murdered Pat Tillman to silence him from criticizing the Army. On still another episode he tried to ridicule a college student for having the temerity to be a Republican.

Toure doesn’t just keep his rants on MSNBC. In March Toure got into a heated public feud with CNN host Piers Morgan over an interview that Toure didn’t like with accused killer George Zimmerman. Morgan invited the bomb thrower on his show to talk about their feud and eventually Toure proceeded to unleash an epic race-baiting meltdown after which Morgan said, “I like to think of myself as a professional journalist, Touré. I think that you are something else.”

President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight:

We’re going around the country, talking about, ‘How do we put people back to work? How do we improve our schools? How do we make sure that we’re producing American energy? How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?’ And I don’t think you or anybody who’s been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We’ve always tried to bring the country together.

You don’t have to try to divide the country, Mr. President. You have sycophants like Toure’ to do it for you.

Ohhh…now, I remember the word.

It’s RAACIIIST.

Ahhh…I feel much better, now.

Class Warfare Being Turned Into Race Warfare?

On August 28, 1963, Dr.

“Romney is very, very comfortable, it seems with people who are like him,” Politico’s Joe Williams said on MSNBC’s Martin Bashir program today. “That’s one of the reasons why he seems so stiff and awkward in some town hall settings, why he can’t relate to people other than that. But when he comes on “Fox & Friends,” they’re like him, they’re white folks who are very much relaxed in their own company. So it really is a very stark contrast, I think and a problem that he’s not been able to solve to date and he’s going to have network harder if he’s going to try to compete.”

And evidently, it’s not just Mitt Romney that’s a bigoted silver-spoon sucker.  It’s all of us “crackas”.

The University of Minnesota – Duluth (UMD) is now sponsoring an ad-campaign designed to achieve “racial justice” by raising awareness of “white privilege.”

The project disseminates its message, that “society was setup for us [whites]” and as such is “unfair,” through an aggressive campaign of online videos, billboards, and lectures. The ads feature a number of Caucasians confessing their guilt for the supposed “privilege” that comes along with their fair features.

The self-titled Un-Fair Campaign, is sponsored and supported by the University of Minnesota – Duluth, along with several liberal organizations including the NAACP, YWCA, and The League of Woman Voters.

“You give me better jobs, better pay, better treatment, and a better chance – all because of the color of my skin,” reads one poster that features a close shot of a Caucasian male.

The Un-Fair campaign also held a series of lectures and events on campus last semester. One included a presentation by Tim Wise, author of Dear White America. In his book, Wise confesses a “longstanding fantasy” where he turns to a man with a “God Bless the USA” button and asks him, “why can’t you just get over it?”

These lectures were publicly endorsed by university Chancellor Lendley Black. Black sent a message to the campus community in April describing his effort to “create an inclusive campus climate for all” through providing “support and… leadership to the Un-Fair Campaign.”

FLASHBACK: UMD Administrator Calls Conservative “White Supremacist” for Giving Away Free Pocket Constitutions

Documents obtained exclusively by Campus Reform this week, through a public records request, however, show that students on campus have expressed outrage over the administration’s support of the racially-charged campaign.

One student, whose identity was redacted in the documents released by UMD, e-mailed Chancellor Black expressing his discontent, writing that the Un-fair campaign “is in fact UNFAIR.”

The student proceeded to write: “It may be drawing awareness to factors that we might otherwise not pay attention to, but it’s creating a gap between people. It’s only making people more racist on both sides.”

LI’s Campus Reform contacted the school seeking further comment, but was unable to reach a spokesperson for comment by the time of publication.

On April 25th of this year, wsj.com ran the following article:

After securing victory in all five Republican presidential primary contests last night, Mitt Romney told an audience in New Hampshire that President Obama is resorting to class warfare because he can’t run on his record.

Last week, Mr. Obama told an audience that “I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth,” a clear swipe at the privileged background of Mr. Romney. And yesterday the president told a group of college students that student loan debt “is something Michelle and I know about firsthand . . .. [W]e’ve been in your shoes. Like I said, we didn’t come from wealthy families.”

In his speech last night, Mr. Romney pushed back. “You might have heard that I was successful in business, and that rumor is true,” he quipped and then went on to defend his background in private equity. But the real issue in this campaign, he added, is what do we have to show for three-and-a-half years of President Obama.

“Is it easier to make ends meet? Is it easier to sell your home or buy a new one? Have you saved what you needed for retirement? Are you making more in your job? Do you have a better chance to get a better job? Do you pay less at the pump?” asked Mr. Romney. “If the answer were ‘yes’ to those questions, then President Obama would be running for re-election based on his achievements, and rightly so. But because he has failed, he will run a campaign of diversions, distractions, and distortions.”

Ol’ Mitt sure called that one, didn’t he?

Given the failure of the OWS movement, could this be a new tactic to distract from Obama’s miserable record?

You betcha.

Divide et Impera

As I have written in previous posts, I was born, raised in, and lived for 39 years in Memphis, TN.  I now reside right across the state line (literally) in Southaven, MS, after former Mayor W.W. Herenton told middle class folks like myself that we were no longer welcome there.

I left out the aspect of race from the preceding paragraph as to not beat a dead horse, but racial division in this country is being used as a political tool in an attempt to “divide and conquer” (divide et impera) through a deliberate campaign strategy by Obama and his minions, reinforced by Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice.

Commercialappeal.com has the following story from my hometown:

Black juveniles in Memphis are more likely to be locked up, to receive tougher punishments and to be transferred to adult court than white juveniles, U.S. Department of Justice officials announced at a news conference Thursday.

Following a three-year probe of Shelby County Juvenile Court and its detention center, the DOJ found a pattern of constitutional rights violations for all youths, discrimination against black youths and unsafe jail conditions, according to the department’s 66-page report.

“We found serious and systemic failures,” Thomas E. Perez, assistant attorney general who oversees the department’s Civil Rights Division in Washington, said during Thursday’s news conference in Memphis. “African-American children were being treated differently and more harshly.”

Justice Department attorneys and outside consultants visited the court and detention center in 2010 and 2011 and analyzed more than 65,000 youth files.

The report concluded that “the juvenile court fails to provide constitutionally required due process to all children appearing for delinquency proceedings, that the court’s administration of juvenile justice discriminates against African-American children and that its detention center violates the substantive due process rights of detained youth by not providing them with reasonably safe conditions of confinement.”

U.S. Atty. Ed Stanton, who hosted the news briefing at the Memphis federal courthouse, told reporters: “While the Civil Rights Division’s findings are serious and compelling, I am encouraged that the leadership and staff of the Shelby County Juvenile Court and Juvenile Detention Center have demonstrated that they intend to take immediate action.”

The investigation followed allegations from Shelby County Commission member Henri Brooks and other African-American commissioners of discrimination and misconduct.

Brooks’ complaint, filed with the DOJ in 2007, alleged mistreatment of juveniles based on race, discriminatory hiring practices, nepotism and political patronage and disregard for federal anti-discrimination laws.

Brooks said she took action after reviewing documents showing that white youths in the suburbs were being sent to school or home after the same infractions that resulted in jail trips and a juvenile record for black youths.

“I’m very happy the Justice Department validated the concerns and allegations of the complaint that I took to D.C,” Brooks said Thursday. “There is something seriously wrong with Juvenile Court.”

The commissioner, a Juvenile Court employee for 11 years, said that in 2007 she was besieged with criticism that she was making Memphis look bad by unfounded claims of racism.

“I don’t want to say ‘vindication,’ but it’s kind of like: ‘Now you know you’re wrong,’ ” she said of her critics.

Juvenile Court Judge Curtis Person, who attended the news conference, told reporters he didn’t agree with all of the report’s findings, particularly those alleging tougher treatment for black juveniles.

“It’s a subjective finding,” the judge said. “I don’t think race enters into the decision-making in Juvenile Court.

“I deplore and will not tolerate discrimination of any kind.”

It’s not just the Obama Administration sewing the seeds of racial division.  It’s those charged with teaching young minds full of mush in Obama’s hometown, also.

Per Breitbart.com:

Jones College Prep, a Chicago Public Schools “selective enrollment” school, held “Social Justice Week” in March, a collection of events geared towards turning students into activists. See the schedule of events here.

According to a flyer on the school’s website:

Social Justice Week was created to promote community advancement through dialogue and community service based activism. Moreover, we hope to unify the voice of various JCP and community organizations in which to facilitate collaboration for the betterment of the community at large and promote a unified human rights advancement initiative.

The school is, according to U.S. News & World Report, a Top 100 high school in the country. It’s one of the best of the best–the cream of the crop.

Demographically, Jones College Prep is fairly balanced. Statistics from 2007-2008 show black enrollment is 23.4%, white enrollment is 29.5% and Hispanic enrollment is 33.7%.

Yet the school administrators, through Social Justice Week, gave a platform to community organizers who in turn provided students biased information and encouraged them to take specific steps to protest, EAGnews.org reports exclusively.

When we heard about the week, we contacted school officials requesting to observe and record the events. All parties consented.

…On Wednesday of Social Justice Week, Black Star Project, a Chicago-based community organizing group, was brought into the school after school hours to teach students about “non-violent” protesting. Led by Phillip Jackson, former “Chief of Education” under former Mayor Richard Daley, the optional discussion was focused on students fighting back against gun crime.

Black Star Project, according to its website, is funded by Open Society Foundations (i.e. George Soros), Best Buy, ING and Toyota Motor Sales, among others.

But Jackson apparently had no interest in allowing students to come to their own conclusions on gun ownership.

NPR.org’s Carrie Johnson, in an post titled, Holder: “‘More Work to Do’ Before the Term is Over”, describes her interview with Attorney General Eric Holder:

But every generation has its own civil rights struggles. Holder knows that all too well.

He said the killing in Florida this year of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin prompted him to sit down and talk with his own teenage son, an experience he shared for the first time publicly.

Before the Martin incident, and the outcry that followed, Holder said, he didn’t think he’d have “the conversation” with his son. But he changed his mind.

“It brought back to me experiences that I had as a young man: getting stopped by the police on the Jersey Turnpike, getting stopped running to a movie in Georgetown by the police simply because I was running to get to a movie,” he said. “I was mad, I was angry, I was humiliated. But I didn’t do anything to put my safety at risk. And that’s what I tried to convey to my boy.

Follow police instructions, however wrong you think they might be, Holder told his son, and don’t let anger guide your actions.

“It’s a sad thing that my father had to have that conversation with me, that I thought I had to have that conversation with my son,” he said. “We are a nation that’s made great progress, great progress — the fact that I’m the attorney general of the United States is an indication of that. But we still have some work to do.”

Like refusing to investigate the Black Panthers for voter intimidation, Mr. Attorney General?

Hopefully, you’ll be unemployed soon.

Barack Obama: The Great Uniter?

Do you remember when Barack Hussein Obama was running for president?  He was positioned by his handlers and the Main Stream Media as “The Great Uniter”.  He was going to bring us all together as one nation…under him.

Washingtonpost.com reported on August 15, 2007 that:

Drawing a sharp contrast with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, his main rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Barack Obama said in an interview that he has the capacity she may lack to unify the country and move it out of what he called “ideological gridlock.”

“I think it is fair to say that I believe I can bring the country together more effectively than she can,” Obama said. “I will add, by the way, that is not entirely a problem of her making. Some of those battles in the ’90s that she went through were the result of some pretty unfair attacks on the Clintons. But that history exists, and so, yes, I believe I can bring the country together in a way she cannot do. If I didn’t believe that, I wouldn’t be running.”

Consistently trailing Clinton (N.Y.) in national polls, Obama (Ill.) has sought recently to draw more explicit contrasts between his views and what he has portrayed as the conventional thinking and behavior that have caused problems for the country, especially in the rest of the world. He did that again in the interview Monday afternoon, defending himself against criticism from Clinton and other Democratic rivals for a series of statements on foreign policy and arguing that Clinton’s foreign policy views risk continued international perceptions of U.S. arrogance.

But he also made a broader argument that more than a change in parties is needed to fix the country’s problems. At one point, Obama said he was not singling out Clinton in saying that he is better able to pull the nation together than any of his challengers, but over the course of the 40-minute interview he volunteered a number of contrasts between his views and Clinton’s.

“Her argument is going to be that ‘I’m the experienced Washington hand,’ and my argument is going to be that we need to change the ways of Washington,” he said. “That’s going to be a good choice for the American people.”

Saying that Bill Clinton’s presidency was good for America, he added: “The question is, moving forward, looking towards the future, is it sufficient just to change political parties, or do we need a more fundamental change in how business is done in Washington . . .? Do we need to break out of some of the ideological battles that we fought during the ’90s that were really extensions of battles we fought since the ’60s?”

Obama never used the term “polarizing” to describe Clinton but made it clear he has studied polls that show that many people have an unfavorable opinion of her. “I don’t think there is anybody in this race who’s able to bring new people into the process and break out of some of the ideological gridlock that we have as effectively as I can,” he said.

Well, that didn’t happen.  In fact, America, under President Barack Hussein Obama, is more polarized than ever before.

Now,  Obama and his Campaign have just announced the formation of “African Americans for Obama”.

Believe it or not, prisonplanet.com has this interesting story:

The program urges black Americans to volunteer their time by making calls, organizing events and going door to door in their neighborhoods encouraging other African Americans to vote for Obama.

Not only is Obama playing the race card in an attempt to pressure black Americans into voting for him, he is also violating the separation between church and state. In the video promo for the campaign, Obama urges black people to pressure churches into supporting his administration by getting his message out via “the faith community”. He also calls on voters to become “congregation captains”.

Again, imagine what the reaction would be any of the Republican candidates launched a ‘Whites for Romney’, ‘Whites for Santorum’ or ‘Whites for Gingrich’ campaign. There would be non-stop uproar. But Obama does the equivalent and gets a free pass.

“I thought race didn’t matter Mr. President?” asks Chad Hasty. “I don’t think MLK would be too pleased with you at all. African-Americans for Obama? Give me a break. Under this President, more blacks are unemployed. More blacks are on food stamps. If I had to bet though, Obama will still pull 93% of the black vote. Again, just a wild guess.”

As part of his efforts to lock down the black community as a voting bloc, Obama has arrived in Florida accompanied by an invasion of rappers and NBA basketball stars – all at taxpayer expense.

“The group — which organizers said includes Magic Johnson, Alonzo Mourning and NBA Commissioner David Stern — will meet with President Obama for a $30,000-a-plate fundraiser at the (actual) home court of Dallas Mavericks guard Vince Carter in his Isleworth mansion,” reports the Orlando Sentinel.

The expensive fundraising trip is timed to coincide with Sunday’s 61st NBA All-Star Game at Orlando’s Amway Center.

An expensive new basketball shoe launched to capitalize on the event caused mayhem at a Florida mall last night. Riot police were called after crowds attempted to rush into a branch of Foot Locker to purchase the shoe before closing time.

“The Great Uniter” has had quite a month.  First, he attacked Freedom of Religion by issuing an edict that Catholic Hospitals had to provide contraceptives and the morning after abortion pill to patients desiring to use them.

Next, he and his Administration apologized to Karzai and the rest of the Muslims in Afghanistan for burning Korans which had been defaced already by Islamic Terrorists

And now, this.

Hardly unifying the country, is it?

I was thinking, as I lay around, under the weather, of forming “Fishbelly White Old Guys for Santorum” in retaliation.  But, I wouldn’t do something so stupid.

That would be RAAACIIIST.
