The Washington Times reports that

The gun control movement notched a public relations coup with last week’s massive school walkouts, but now school districts that pitched in to ensure the protest’s success are stuck with the rising political and legal fallout.

A week after the March 14 walkout, school officials are grappling with complaints from parents outraged by the specter of their kids engaged in political protesting on school time, as well as reports of criminal mischief committed by teens who treated the event as a get-out-of-class-free card.

What’s more, the students get to do it all again next month. A substantially identical event, also called the National School Walkout, is scheduled for April 20, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre.

Chris Cleveland, chairman of the Chicago Republican Party, said he worried that the walkouts, aimed at pushing for tougher gun restrictions in the wake of the deadly Parkland shooting, have provided the template for advocacy groups eager to co-opt the public schools for progressive activism.

“If they get away with this, they’ll be free to engage in any kind of political activity in the schools that they wish,” said Mr. Cleveland, who has a third-grader in the Chicago Public Schools.

The party is moving to avert that scenario by preparing a lawsuit against the school system, arguing that the district violated state and federal law as well as its own policies by organizing a political demonstration — and pressuring students to attend — on the taxpayers’ dime.

In between now and the next National Walkout Day, scheduled for Aril 20th, is an event scheduled to occur in several American Cities this Saturday, March 24th, titled “March For Our Lives”.

On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington, DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority. The collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard.

An organization named Everytown For Gun Safety is one of the organizers.

270 Strategies (270S) is a consulting firm that was launched in 2013 by supporters of President Barack Obama. Their objective was to help left-wing “campaigns, companies, and causes” use “grassroots organizing” methods to “transform communities” and “keep doing big things to change the world” even after January of 2017, when Obama’s presidency was due to end. From 2013-15, the firm served more than 160 clients across a variety of sectors. In the political sphere, for instance, 270S’s clients included such groups as Battleground Texas, iVote, and Ready for Hillary. The organization also provided key services for Cory Booker’s 2013 run for the U.S. Senate (in New Jersey), Terry McAuliffe’s 2013 gubernatorial campaign in Virginia, Rahm Emanuel’s 2015 mayoral re-election bid in Chicago, and Ro Khanna’s (unsuccessful) 2014 run for a congressional seat representing the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.

In areas not related directly to electoral politics, 270S has supported clients like the Service Employees International Union, Planned Parenthood, the Environmental Defense Fund, Everytown for Gun Safety, the College Board, and AARP to promote their respective agendas vis-a-vis a wide range of issues—including immigration reform, health care access, “women’s equality,” a higher minimum wage, education standards, and efforts to avert the purported dangers associated with “climate change.”

According to their website “March For Our Lives” is sponsoring events in 823 cities across the United States.

However, you may still be asking yourselves,

“Why are the teachers and school administrators pushing for students to be involved in the walkouts and the march?”

Because, gentle readers, their union, The American Federation of Teachers, is one of the sponsors behind these events.

Founded in Chicago in 1916, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) was almost immediately welcomed into the American Federation of Labor by the latter’s President, Samuel Gompers. The AFT would quickly charter 174 locals in its first four years, gaining a membership of approximately 10,000 during that period. The decade after World War I, however, was a period of intense struggle for the union. While the AFT fought for academic freedom and tenure laws, school boards conducted campaigns that pressured teachers to resign from it — often forcing them to sign “yellow-dog” contracts in which they promised not to unionize.

…Like the labor movement in general, however, the AFT was infiltrated by members of the Communist Party, particularly during the latter years of the Great Depression.

…The AFT is currently part of America Votes, a national coalition of leftwing grassroots, get-out-the-vote organizations. The AFT also co-founded and provides funding for Free Exchange on Campus, which is also heavily funded by George Soros’ Open Society Institute. As part of the progressive campaign for single-payer healthcare, the AFT joined forces with the Soros-funded Health Care for America Now! in 2009. In December of that year, the AFT also co-founded Defend Education, a leftist coalition that opposed private schools and called for increased funding for public education.

In recent years, AFT has donated money to such left-wing organizations as The American Prospect, Americans for Democratic Action, the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the Children’s Defense Fund, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the Economic Policy Institute, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the NAACP, the William J. Clinton Foundation, and Women’s Policy Inc.

According to Buzzfeed News, as reported in an article posted on 2/27/18,

The American Federation of Teachers, which helped bus students and parents to Tallahassee multiple times last week, are now assisting with the March for Our Lives rally. The federation’s president told BuzzFeed News that they are also helping support next month’s march as well as helping to shape the vision and mission for the group once the rally is over.

“There are a lot of people who know how to put on a march in Washington and we are here to help support the teens with that experience in terms of logistics and strategy but it’s still early and they have some time to figure that out,” AFT President Randi Weingarten told BuzzFeed News. “We will be here for that ‘oh shit moment’ when they realize they need things like permits.”

The New Bolsheviks of the Progressive Movement have been trying to get their greasy mitts on America’s children for quite some time now.

Throughout the 8 years of the Obama Presidency, the propagandizing of America’s children really took off into high gear, as the NEA and the AFT made it their mission to mold young minds full of mush (as Rush Limbaugh would say) into good little automatons who could regurgitate popular Liberal Talking Points on demand.

In a lot of cases, thank God, children would come home and discuss what they had learned with their parents, who would quickly set them straight.

However, not every child was blessed with loving parents, such as the ones mentioned in the first article above, who are fighting those school boards who are allowing the recruitment of our children and grandchildren as human props in these walkouts and marches.

Please, folks, pay attention to what your children bring home from school.

And, please read all permission slips before you sign them.
