Supreme Court to Decide Whether Non-Citizens Have the “Constitutional Right” to Sue in American Courts

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. – Amendment IV, The United States Constitution

The Supreme Court expressed sympathy Tuesday for the family of a Mexican teenager fatally shot from across the U.S.-Mexico line by a Border Patrol agent, but struggled to reach consensus on whether foreign nationals – like the teen’s relatives – can sue in American courts.

The divisions were on display during oral arguments for what has become a closely watched case, amid an escalating political debate in Washington over border security. The arguments were held the same day the Department of Homeland Security released new directives on immigration enforcement, and after a lower federal court blocked a separate executive action from President Trump on immigration and refugee restrictions.

Apart from renewed interest in the court’s consideration of immigration disputes, the case heard Tuesday also could have implications for other U.S. government actions taken overseas — including military drone strikes against suspected terrorists, and electronic surveillance over the Internet.

In the current dispute, 15-year-old Sergio Hernandez was just steps from the border on Mexican soil when he was killed in 2010 by Jesus Mesa Jr., an agent standing on the American side in El Paso, Texas.

The federal agent was not prosecuted, and the U.S. refused to extradite him to Mexico. The victim’s family says a civil action is now their only recourse for justice.

The issues for the court are whether the officer enjoys immunity from such claims of excessive force, and whether the victim enjoyed limited constitutional protections, even though he was not a U.S. citizen.

During a spirited, 70-minute public session at the high court, the eight justices appeared divided over just what kind of violations by the U.S. government against foreigners merit legal action, and whether courts should even get involved.

“This is one of the most sensitive areas of foreign affairs where the political branches should discuss with Mexico what the solution ought to be,” said Justice Anthony Kennedy. “This an urgent matter of separation of powers for us to respect the duty that the principle rule the executive and the legislative have with respect to foreign affairs.”

But Justice Sonia Sotomayor wondered, “Why should there not be a civil remedy to ensure that border police are complying with the Constitution? … Wouldn’t shooting potshots at Mexican citizens be shocking to the conscience?”

Both sides in the shooting incident offer differing accounts of what happened in June 2010, when Hernandez and three of his friends were spotted hanging around a concrete culvert along the Rio Grande waterway separating the two countries.

Video shot on a phone by a civilian shows the agent shooting Hernandez as the unarmed boy peeked out from behind a railroad trestle, 60 feet away.

Mesa’s lawyers and supporters say unreleased surveillance video shows the agent was under threat from rocks being thrown at him, and that he acted appropriately.

While Mesa was never prosecuted, other border agents have been in separate incidents, including Lonnie Swartz for second-degree murder in the 2012 death of a 16-year-old Mexican boy. The agent has pleaded not guilty and his trial is pending.

An outside report commissioned by U.S. Customs and Border Protection faulted the agency for not fully investigating 67 shootings incidents from 2010-2012.

Immigration rights activists in particular have criticized incidents along the often-unmarked border, which Justice Elena Kagan called a “no-man’s land”– where determining what happened and where can prove challenging.

Both sides agree had Hernandez been on U.S. soil at the time of the shooting — even illegally — the agent could be sued in civil court.

But Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the real issue here concerns the actions of the agent himself.

“It’s the United States law operating on the United States official who’s acting inside the United States,” she said. “This case has, as far as the conduct is concerned, United States written all over it. There’s nothing about Mexico. The Border Patrol guard doesn’t take his orders from Mexico.”

But Chief Justice John Roberts repeatedly urged lawyers for Hernandez’s family to offer a standard on just when such claims can be pressed, offering a contemporary hypothetical.

“How do you analyze the case of a drone strike in Iraq where the plane is piloted from Nevada?” he asked.

Given the competing arguments at Tuesday’s public sessions, the court may find it difficult to articulate a clear standard even for similar cases occurring within shooting distance of the border. A 4-4 tie would not create any precedent, but would stop the Hernandez lawsuit from proceeding.

The family’s lawyer said after the arguments that the Trump administration’s controversial immigration policies make it imperative the courts step in.

“It intensifies the danger if there is no Constitution when the border agents interact with the folks they are trying to deport,” said Robert Hilliard. “There is going to be more of a need to have the executive’s conduct reviewed by the judiciary. Right now there is no checks on the executive. There’s no separation of powers.”

But the attorney for the border agent told Fox News that, if his side loses, public safety could be compromised if agents feared being subjected to lawsuits. “I think it would create a chilling effect for all those protecting our borders and our national security in times of critical incidents on when to act and when to protect themselves in times of peril,” Randolph Ortega said.

The case is Hernandez v. Mesa (15-118). A ruling is expected by June.

Placing the fact of the wasted life of a 16-year old aside, the question remains:

How can non-citizens possibly have “Constitutional Rights”?

The child’s parents are Mexican Citizens, residing in Mexico, as was their 16-year old son.

How can “their 4th Amendment Rights” have been violated?

They do not reside on American Soil, therefore the laws, which our Founding Fathers  established to protect our Sovereign Nation’s Citizens, do not apply to them.

Illegal Immigrants do not have Constitutional Rights, either. However, they have had them bestowed upon them by sympathetic courts, when they are involved in “trifling” legal matters. like, say, the MURDER of an American Citizen.

Legal Immigrants, on the other hand, earned their citizenship. They showed that they were willing to become a part of the Great American Melting Pot (from the Schoolhouse Rock video of the same name).

They demonstrated that, as the US Citizen and Immigration services states, that they were willing to…

Support the Constitution;
Renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen;
Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
Bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and
A. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or
B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or
C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law.

Additionally, these legal immigrants also took the following oath:

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

Perhaps, if the young man’s parents had raised him to be respectful of America’s Southern Border and the Americans who faithfully guard it, they would still have their son.

But, there I go again, expecting other nations to have our value systems and their people to exercise personal responsibility.

It’s far easier to disrespect a Sovereign Nation’s Borders and rely on the avarice and naiveté of those in the Judicial and  Legislative Branches of that country’s Governments to bestow those rights upon you, for the sake of Political Power.

Illegal Immigrants are Racing to Cross Our Southern Border Before Inauguration Day

Illegal ImmigrationThose who want to enter our Sovereign Country illegally evidently know that their time to do so is running out.

The New York Times reports that

Central American countries warned on Thursday that large numbers of migrants have fled their poor, violent homes since Donald Trump’s surprise election win, hoping to reach the United States before he takes office next year.Trump won the Nov. 8 vote by taking a hard line on immigration, threatening to deport millions of people living illegally in the United States and to erect a wall along the Mexican border.

Trump’s tough campaign rhetoric sent tremors through the slums of Central America and the close-knit migrant communities in U.S. cities, with many choosing to fast-forward their plans and migrate north before Trump takes office on Jan. 20.

During fiscal year 2016, the United States detained nearly 410,000 people along the southwest border with Mexico, up about a quarter from the previous year. The vast majority hail from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.

Since Trump’s victory, the number of people flocking north has surged, Central American officials say, contributing to a growing logjam along the southern U.S. border.

“We’re worried because we’re seeing a rise in the flow of migrants leaving the country, who have been urged to leave by coyotes telling them that they have to reach the United States before Trump takes office,” Maria Andrea Matamoros, Honduras’ deputy foreign minister, told Reuters, referring to people smugglers.

Carlos Raul Morales, Guatemala’s foreign minister, told Reuters people were also leaving Guatemala en masse before Trump becomes president.

“The coyotes are leaving people in debt, and taking their property as payment for the journey,” he said in an interview.

Last week, U.S. Customs and Border Protection opened a temporary holding facility for up to 500 people near the Texan border with Mexico, in what it said was a response to a marked uptick in illegal border crossings.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said earlier this month immigration detention facilities were holding about 10,000 more individuals than usual, after a spike in October of migrants including unaccompanied children, families and asylum seekers.

GANG VIOLENCE

Unemployed and sick of the lack of opportunities and endemic gang violence that blight his poor neighborhood in the town of San Marcos, south of San Salvador, Carlos Garcia, 25, said he was looking to enter the United States before Trump assumes power.

“There’s one thing I’m very clear about,” he said. “I want to get out of here.”

Guatemalan Fares Revolorio, 27, arrived in the northwestern Mexican border city of Tijuana on Wednesday after a grueling 4,200-kilometer (2,610-mile), week-long trek by bus. She was waiting to cross into the United States, where she hoped to apply for asylum.

Accompanied by her three children and her husband, she said she left Guatemala as it had become too dangerous. Her husband’s brother was killed two months ago, and local gangs, known as “maras,” had assaulted her son.

“They tell us the new president doesn’t like illegal immigrants, but we have to take the chance,” she said, as she struggled to hold back tears. “Nobody wants to die in a horrible way, and we can’t be in Guatemala any longer. My children are growing up in fear.”

During the campaign, Trump set out plans to impound billions of dollars of remittances so Mexico ends up paying for his proposed wall on the southern U.S. border. It remains unclear if he will stick to the proposal.

Humberto Roque Villanueva, Mexico’s deputy interior minister for migration, told Reuters the day after the U.S. election that Mexico stands ready to lobby the U.S. Congress and use all legal means against Trump’s plan for blocking remittances.

Victoria Cordova, who was deported from the United States in 2014, said Trump’s victory had sown fear in her poor hillside slum in the capital Tegucigalpa.

“People are very worried because many of them have family over there in the United States, and they live off the remittances they send,” she said.

The foreign ministers of Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala met on Monday to formulate a strategy to protect their migrants in the United States, in a show of regional solidarity.

At the meeting in Guatemala City, the foreign ministers asked Mexico for help to create a migrant protection network, liaise for coordination with U.S. authorities, and to meet regularly for regional talks.

A Mexican cement maker is ready to lend its services to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to build the wall he wants to erect on the southern border of the United States to curb immigration.

“We can’t be choosy,” Enrique Escalante, Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) said in an interview. “We’re an important producer in that area and we have to respect our clients on both sides of the border.”

Republican Trump campaigned vowing to build a “big, beautiful, powerful” wall across the 2,000 mile (3,200 km) frontier in order to stop illegal immigrants from Mexico, which he accused of sending rapists and drug traffickers north.

The campaign of the New York businessman who has never previously held public office was widely reviled in Mexico.

Parts of the border are already divided by high fences, and a huge part of the boundary runs along the Rio Grande river.

Based in Chihuahua, a large northern state bordering Texas and New Mexico, GCC is one of the biggest construction materials companies in Mexico. It generates around 70 percent of its sales in the United States, where it also has three plants.

Escalante said Trump’s plans to invest in energy and infrastructure in the United States augured well for the firm.

“For the business we’re in, Trump is a candidate that does favor the industry quite a bit,” Escalante said.

GCC, whose shares are trading at their highest levels since 2008, is 23 percent owned by Mexican multinational cement company Cemex, which at the end of September announced plans to sell its stake.

People have to make a living.

I can understand trying to gain a better life for your children and grandchildren.

Average Americans want the same thing as these Central Americans who are trying to get here before Trump is sworn in as President do.

The difference between us and them is we fight against those things to get in the way of improving our country through the use of the Voting Booth, as exhibited on November 8th.

We do not illegally enter another Sovereign Country to take advantage of their blessings.

Which brings up some important questions…

Why are our representatives so intent on rewarding those who have broken our laws with impunity?

Is this a behavior we should be rewarding?

What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, they are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens.

And, yet, even as I write this, they are in our hospitals, taking advantage of our charity and the finest health care system in the world, and driving our streets, with either forged drivers licenses or those obtained from states who have acquiesced and given them to these “undocumented workers”.

This is in no way a human rights issue.

Freedom is God-given, and with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way.

My concerns about rewarding these lawbreakers with a “Path to Citizenship” or Blanket Amnesty can be divided into three bullet points. (Hey, I used to be a VP of Marketing. What do you expect?)

1. Patriotism – Will these new “citizens” be willing to fly our flag above theirs? Will they be willing, if called upon, to serve in our Armed Forces, at home or abroad? Will they love this country, more than the one they left?

2. Loyalty – When these “new Americans” achieve the right to vote, are they all going to vote Democrat, so that they can receive more FREE STUFF? Is the Republican Party shooting themselves in both feet by pushing an outcome which will simply add new Democratic Voters? As I asked in the first point, will they honestly embrace our sovereign nation as their new home? Or, will they remain loyal to Mexico?

3.  Immigration – Are we rewarding illegal behavior, while at the same time, insulting all of the brave souls who have come here legally, seeking a better life for themselves and their families?

So, what is the solution to this “Humanitarian Issue”, as Obama and all of his hand-wringing hypocritical Liberal sycophants are calling this invasion?

Believe or not, a legendary Democrat Leader agreed with Trump on what should be done with those who have broken our laws by entering our Sovereign Nation illegally.

The last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform happened during President ill “Bubba” Clinton’s tenure. Bubba appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

Liberals, on both sides of the Political Aisle, have continuously masked their true intentions for the political usefulness, in granting amnesty to illegal aliens, by swathing it in the noble rhetoric of “Civil Rights” and “Social Justice”.

In reality, is the fact that these Professional Politicians could care less about the well-being of illegal aliens. They are simply recruiting new Democrat Voters.

President-elect Trump’s stance on illegal immigration is one of the campaign promises that got him elected.

American’s begrudge no man or woman the opportunity to legally enter our country and contribute to our economy.

It is those who wish to break into our Sovereign Nation and live of off average Americans’ tax-derived “charity” that we have a problem with.

“The Art of the Deal”: Mr. Trump Goes to Mexico

untitled (91)For the last several months, Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump has been publicly attacked by Liberals and socialists alike (but, I repeat myself), such as Pope Francis and Former Mexican President Vincente Fox, concerning his stated plan to build a secure wall on our nation’s Southern Border, in order to stop the never-ending flow of illegal aliens and drug-trafficking, through the porous lack of security which now exists.

Today, that plan may come closer to becoming a reality.

Laura Ingraham’s Lifezette.com reports that

LifeZette has confirmed that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will travel to Mexico on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Sources including Mexican officials involved in the planning of the visit, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated the meeting would cover a broad variety of topics ranging from trade to security to immigration and the contentious issue of border enforcement.

It is expected that Trump adviser and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, along with high-ranking Mexican officials, will attend the meeting.

The meeting will occur despite concerns from both Mexican security services and the U.S. Secret Service.

Officials expect the two leaders to make some statement following the meeting, but do not expect a full press conference.

The trip is particularly historic for Trump in that no previous non-incumbent presidential nominee of a major party has ever traveled to Mexico as part of his campaign.

The stakes for both Donald Trump and the Mexican president are high.

For Peña Nieto, the meeting represents a tremendous opportunity to offer Trump, the potential next president of the United States, an olive branch. Peña Nieto has made negative comments about Trump in the past, including a suggestion Trump was like a fascist dictator. The meeting will offer Peña Nieto the chance to clear the deck with the potential next leader of a nation on which his own is almost entirely economically reliant — and earn goodwill for himself and his country among Trump supporters.

For Trump, the historic meeting comes at a time when the GOP nominee is ramping up a high-stakes bid to win over support from traditionally Democratic minority voters in the United States.

“Republican presidential nominees usually aren’t bold enough to go into communities of color and take the case right to them, and compete for all ears and compete for all votes,” Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said in an Aug. 28 interview with ABC, “They’ve been afraid to do that. So, Mr. Trump deserves credit for at least taking the case directly to the people.”

Trump surrogate Dr. Ben Carson laid out the key objectives Trump is pursuing in his outreach to minority communities.

“He wants to find out from a lot of different sources what people perceive the problems to be and what they perceive the solutions to be,” Carson said in an interview with Michel Martin on NPR. “He also wants to hear about things that have effectively moved people out of the position of dependency and put them on a ladder to success.”

Tying the economic message geared toward minority voters into the campaign’s overall theme, Dr. Carson said, “You cannot be great if you have large pockets of people who are failing.”

A new report from Gallup indicates Trump’s effort may be finding success with U.S.-born Hispanic voters.

The analysis found Hispanics who were born in the United States, those who constitute most of the Hispanic demographic’s total voters, only view Clinton more favorably than Trump by a 14-point margin. To put that in context, 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney lost the Hispanic vote by a whopping 44 percent. Both parties have done nothing for the middle class, but more specifically under the Obama administration Latinos, African-Americans, and the middle class have done worse under Democratic policy,” said Jorge Herrera, one of the directors of #LatinosForTrump, in an Aug. 25 interview with LifeZette. “Hillary Clinton will be more of the same. Donald Trump is the only one speaking of the need to uplift Hispanics and all others economically. “Trump certainly has credibility to speak on how to create jobs, including for minorities.

American Billionaire. Business Entrepreneur, and Republican Presidential Candidate, Donald J. Trump has garnered a lot of attention and caught a lot of flack from Political Pundits and Media Hacks, alike, for his Immigration Platform, in which he outlines two basic solutions to the problems that I have written about in today’s blog.

Trump’s Immigration Platform calls for (And, I am paraphrasing)…

  1. Building a wall along America’s Southern Border and make Mexico pay for it.
  2. Suspending all Muslim Immigration, including that of the largely unvetted Syrian Refugees, until it can be determined exactly what the purpose of this mass migration is, in order to protect the sovereignty of America and the safety of its citizens.

If you were watching Saturday morning cartoons in 1977 on ABC, you would have seen this Schoolhouse Rock musical cartoon titled “The Great American Melting Pot”.  It extolled the unique greatness of  our American heritage.

For a while now, that heritage has been under attack.

The Immigration Act of 1924 was passed because America had experienced an overwhelming flood of immigrants, which strained the resources of our nation.

This act allowed all of these immigrants to be assimilated into American Society and to actually become Americans, in thought, word, deed, and LOYALTY.

Liberal President Jimmy Carter stopped Iranians from immigrating, because, just like the situation we faced today with Radical Islam, we were AT WAR.

In fact, Obama and his Administration are themselves being restrictive in whom they allow to immigrate to America, including restricting the immigration of persecuted Christians from the Middle East.

There is no doubt in my mind, nor should there be in anyone else’s that Trump is in Mexico today to “broker a deal”.

The Godfather of Conservative Talk Radio, Rush Limbaugh,  once gave a superb analysis of the way Trump operates, on his nationally syndicated-syndicated Program…

Let me share with you some analysis that will no doubt be misunderstood and distorted in many places in our media, but here we go.  As I’m listening to Trump talk about all this — and not just today. It is fascinating, is it not, that Donald Trump has sort of reframed, or maybe even redefined, the purpose and the position of the presidency as something defined by negotiating deals?  He talks about this all the time. This is important. He’s credibly presenting himself as a skilled dealmaker, as a skilled negotiator.  Therefore, he is positing here that the job of president, to him, is negotiating and dealmaking, foreign and domestic. 

Trade equals deals. Foreign policy equals deals such as Iran, the entire Middle East.  Domestic policy equals deals, i.e., making them with Democrats.  By all those deals… Here’s the thing: Every time Trump talks about doing a deal — with Mexico and the wall, you name it, with the ChiComs. Every time he talks about doing deals, he talks about winning them for his position, that nobody else is any good at this, that the people running our government now, elected officials now don’t know how to do deals. They do the dumbest deals ever. 

But Trump is gonna do smart deals, because that’s what his life is. 

He does deals for everything, and he runs rings around everybody. 

He wrote a book on how to do deals better than anybody else.  Even after telling everybody how to do deals, they still can’t do ’em better than he does.  And he’s defined all of this as pro-America, i.e., for the people. Making America great again.  The opposition, or the opposite reactions to Trump among Republicans and others depends on whether people trust or believe him or not.  Trump opposers don’t believe it; Trump supporters do believe it. 

We all remember the first time we went into a voting booth and got to pull the lever for the candidate of our choice.

I was especially blessed as a 22 year old college senior. My very first vote, in any sort of election, was when I got to pull the lever for Ronald Wilson Reagan.

In 1974, at the very first Conservative Political Action Conference, the future President of the United States said the following:

Somehow America has bred a kindliness into our people unmatched anywhere, as has been pointed out in that best-selling record by a Canadian journalist. We are not a sick society. A sick society could not produce the men that set foot on the moon, or who are now circling the earth above us in the Skylab. A sick society bereft of morality and courage did not produce the men who went through those years of torture and captivity in Vietnam. Where did we find such men? They are typical of this land as the Founding Fathers were typical. We found them in our streets, in the offices, the shops and the working places of our country and on the farms.

We cannot escape our destiny, nor should we try to do so. The leadership of the free world was thrust upon us two centuries ago in that little hall of Philadelphia. In the days following World War II, when the economic strength and power of America was all that stood between the world and the return to the dark ages, Pope Pius XII said, “The American people have a great genius for splendid and unselfish actions. Into the hands of America God has placed the destinies of an afflicted mankind.

We are indeed, and we are today, the last best hope of man on earth.

When Reagan became president, he did everything within his power to uphold these lofty words.

I suppose that is why I hold Barack Hussein Obama in such disdain. As a young man just starting my new life in the business world, I was able to watch the economy start to turn around under the greatest president in our lifetime. There was a confidence in our strength as an American people that I had never seen before.

You could see it in people’s faces as you walked past them on the street… or at the gas station, as we all watched the price of a gallon of gas finally go down after the pain at the pump that we experienced during the Carter Presidency.

People who had been out of work and suffering along with their families were beginning to be hired again. And, young Americans who had no confidence in the previous commander- in-chief, were once again going to military recruiters asking to sign up to serve our country.

Yes, indeed. Once again, it was “Morning in America”.

However, the popularity of our president was not just limited to the boundaries of our nation. Reagan was admired the world over. The things that he accomplished, along with his friends, Prime Minister of Britain Margaret Thatcher, Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, and Pope John Paul II, have caused the decade of the 1980s to be recorded as a seminal moment in world history.

I remember watching President Reagan speak at the Berlin Wall. When he said, “Mr Gorbachev tear down this wall!”, I was never prouder to be an American and of an American president, than at that moment.

The Liberal Democrats lost their collective minds.

Obama Insults Trump and Average Americans at Trilateral Press Conference

CBS News reports that

President Obama went off on his own rant Wednesday at a trilateral press conference in which he disputed the idea that Donald Trump is a populist and that the presumptive GOP nominee instead promotes “nativism” or “xenophobia.”

After reporters asked a series of questions of Mr. Obama, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mr. Obama decided he had something else to say in Ottawa — he addressed the common theme of populism raised during the event.

“I’m not prepared to concede the notion that some of the rhetoric that’s been popping up is populist,” Mr. Obama said, referring to Trump.

He said the reason why he ran for president in 2008, again in 2012, and why he will continue to work in some capacity in public service after he leaves office next year is because he cares about people and making sure every child has the same opportunities as he had.

The president said he cares about poor people, about workers having a collective voice in the workplace, about kids getting an education and ensuring that the U.S. has a fair tax system.

“I suppose that makes me a populist,” Mr. Obama said.

Without identifying him by name, Mr. Obama dismissed Trump as someone “who has never shown any regard for workers, who has never fought on behalf of any social justice issues” and who has worked against providing economic opportunities.

“They don’t suddenly become a populist because they say something controversial in order to win votes,” he said. “That’s not the measure of populism; that’s nativism or xenophobia…or it’s just cynicism.”

“Somebody who labels us versus them or engages in rhetoric about how we’re going to look after ourselves and take it to the other guy..that’s not the definition of populism,” he added.

Obama acknowledged that he went off on a “rant” and that he has that freedom now since he’s nearing the end of his two terms in office.

During the press conference, Mr. Obama also addressed Trump’s comments Tuesday in which he talked about withdrawing from trade deals like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) or the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

“The prescription of withdrawing from trade deals and focusing solely on your local market, that’s the wrong medicine. It’s not feasible,” Mr. Obama said.

As I have been chronicling, this “Nationalism” that Petulant President Pantywaist referred to during yesterday’s meltdown is actually a Grass Roots Movement, just like the Tea Party Movement was, and is.

He was right. It is a Populist Movement.

Dictionary.com defines “populism” as

1. the political philosophy of the People’s party.
2. (lowercase) any of various, often antiestablishment or anti-intellectual political movements or philosophies that offer unorthodox solutions or policies and appeal to the common person rather than according with traditional party or partisan ideologies.

4. (lowercase) representation or extolling of the common person, the working class, the underdog, etc.:populism in the arts.

That word first reappeared in the American Lexicon, when Sarah Palin almost dragged John McCain’s RINO Rear across the Finish Line, in the Presidential Election of 2008.

The Grassroots Movement, which began back then has led us to a seminal moment in American Politics.

We are the people who defeated that same tyrant and began a nation that, despite growing pains, and a war which pitted brother against brother, became the Greatest Nation on the Face of God’s Green Earth.

We are that small band of Tennessee Volunteers, who, with Davy Crockett at the Alamo, though hopelessly outnumbered, gave their lives in defense of freedom.

We are the sons and grandsons of those brave men who landed on Normandy Beach, turning the tide of World War II.

We are the people who are the most charitable people on Earth, contributing millions upon millions of our hard-earned money to private and faith-based charities, and, who personally help our family friends, and neighbors out, when disaster strikes…OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF OUR HEARTS, NOT PRESIDENTIAL DECREE.

Judging by your past actions, including the clandestine dissemination of the “youths” from Central and South America, who arrived here, parentless, last year, throughout our country, we “average Americans”, do not trust you and your people, when you say that you will “vet” these Syrian “Refugees”.

Especially, since they marched across Europe like an invasion force, raping women and using streets as toilets.

And, that is why we and our states’ Governors’ are standing up to your plans to disseminate these Syrian “Refugees” among us.

We recognize that, in your eyes, the welfare of the Muslims living in foreign countries comes before the safety of Americans.

Otherwise, you would not have contacted Turkish (Muslim) President Erdogan the same day as the Terrorist Attack on the Istanbul Airport, while it took you days to contact Florida Governor Rick Scott after 49 Americans were savagely slaughtered by a Homegrown Muslim Terrorist in an Orlando Gay Bar.

Your relationship with average Americans is strained at best. You did not have to go insult us in front of the world like you did yesterday.

What you call “xenophobia”, we Americans call SURVIVAL.

Feelings…Whoa, Whoa, Whoa…Feelings: Activist Judge Releases Trump University Documents. MSM Pushes “Trumped”-Up “Scandal”.

Trump-Tool-600-CIThe latest “scandal” that is destined to go nowhere. involving Presumptive Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump, is all over the Main Stream Media News Outlets this morning, being trumpeted with all of the effectiveness of an attempt to push Jell-O up a hill.

The Wall Street Journal reports that

Documents unsealed in a fraud lawsuit against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump’s defunct real estate school reveal many of the aggressive sales tactics the enterprise used to persuade prospective students to spend thousands of dollars on the seminars.

Included in the batch of documents made public Tuesday by Judge Gonzalo Curiel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California: a “sales playbook” from 2007 that offered tips to Trump University salesmen on how to “close a client.”

“You have built the Dreams,” reads the playbook. “They have seen the pain in their financial situation and have committed to make a change…They will begin to sell themselves to us; they will be climbing, ever closer to the peak of the emotional roller coaster.”

The lawsuit brought by ex-students accuses Mr. Trump and his now-defunct Trump University of tricking people into spending thousands of dollars on real estate seminars with false promises of access to Mr. Trump and his real estate secrets.

Mr. Trump has denied the allegations in the suits, saying Trump University students got their money’s worth. He said Friday that Trump University received mostly positive reviews from students, some of whose evaluations filed as exhibits have also been ordered unsealed in a redacted form. The case, which consolidated multiple complaints, is scheduled to go to trial in November.

“The court’s order unsealing documents has no bearing on the merits of Trump University’s case,” a Trump campaign spokeswoman said. “Trump University looks forward to using this evidence, along with much more, to win when the case is brought before a jury.”

The unsealed playbook outlines a “two-part” sales process in which a salesperson builds up trust with a potential customer and then passes the person to “program director” who closes the sale.

Customers were told Mr. Trump can’t personally meet with everyone who enrolls, but the company is looking for a “select group of people” that have been handpicked by a program director to receive “live, hands-on training with Donald Trump’s professional real estate instructors.”

The lawsuit alleges the instructors were merely “independently contracted high-pressure salesmen” who offered students nothing of marketable value.

The playbook features scripts that walk through what to do when a customer asks about the price: “If a client is adamant about knowing the price, simply say, ‘Our course range anywhere from $29 to $35,000,’” it says.

It also directed the sales force on what to tell people who have no credit cards or who have maxed them out. “What most people do is handle the tuition by putting it on their credit cards because it gives them the ability to make very small monthly payments and maintain low overhead to run their real estate project. Then [they] use their success in real estate to pay off the banks in a couple of months or so,” the playbook said. “However, you don’t seem to have the advantage of having that kind of leveraging power. Do you have any other seed capital or savings set aside to further invest into your real estate projects?”

Another document unsealed is a Trump University memo from 2007, a year before the financial downturn, addressed to enrollment counselors that predicts a “continuation of the very strong real estate market and the historically low level of capitalization rates that exist today.”

Judge Curiel ordered the release of the documents Friday, the same day Mr. Trump attacked the judge by name during a campaign rally in San Diego.

“I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. He’s a hater. His name is Gonzalo Curiel,” Mr. Trump said Friday.

Mr. Trump asked for an investigation into Judge Curiel, though he declined to specify the reasons why. “I think Judge Curiel should be ashamed of himself,” Mr. Trump said. “Because what Judge Curiel is doing is a total disgrace.”

His lawyers haven’t filed any motions seeking to reassign the case to a different judge.

In ordering the documents made public, Judge Curiel was responding to an April request by the Washington Post for the records to be unsealed.

First off, concerning Judge Gonzalo Curiel.

Research performed by Charles C Johnson, posted at Conservative Treehouse, shows that the judge is a member of the activist organization , La Raza Lawyers of San Diego, and is an Ctivist on behalf of the rights of illegal aliens, even selecting those who were awarded scholarships.

Gosh. Certainly a judge who is a member of La Raza would not be prejudiced against a presidential candidate who has said that he is going to build a wall on our Southern border to keep illegal aliens from entering our Sovereign Nation, would he?

By the way, that was sarcasm, for any Liberals and #NeverTrumpers who might be reading this post.

Next, let’s look at the sales techniques supposedly used by the salespeople for Trump University.

It appears that the Main Stream Media is attempting to make the use of clients’ feelings in the sales process something horrible and less than ethical.

Evidently, the “Smartest People in the Room” have never read “See You at the Top”, a very popular book, written in 1975 by Zig Ziglar, The Father of Modern Sales Techniques.

In that book, he writes that

Selling is a transference of feelings.

Oh, the humanity!

Ziglar is also known for saying that

People don’t buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons.

If people bought for logical reasons, there would be no such thing as payment plans.

But, I digress…

In my current full-time job, I am a sales person. I can tell you for a fact, that salespeople use potential customers’ feelings to close a sale, everyday of the week.

There is nothing new in what Trump’s salespeople did in their efforts to make Trump University a success.

What we are witnessing is a last-ditch effort to destroy Donald J. Trump and his Presidential Candidate…by any means necessary.

Liberals are in an all-out panic mode.

The Trump Train is rolling right along, gaining momentum as we get closer to November.

Meanwhile, the two remaining Democrat Candidates have been marginalized by their own failed political ideology, which only appeals to a minority of Americans.

With the efforts of the #NeverTrumpers to derail his Presidential Campaign continuing to fail horribly, Democrats are consumed with desperation.

Unfortunately for them, the ineffectual help that they are presently receiving from La Raza Activist Judge Gonzalo Curiel, will not stop the Trump Train from arriving at its destination on time.

What Sovereignty? Kerry Slams Trump’s Border Wall Promise

untitled (58)If you were watching Saturday morning cartoons in 1977 on ABC, you would have seen this Schoolhouse Rock musical cartoon titled “The Great American Melting Pot”. It extolled the unique greatness of our American heritage.

For a while now, that heritage has been under attack.

The Immigration Act of 1924 was passed because America had experienced an overwhelming flood of immigrants, which strained the resources of our nation.

This act allowed all of these immigrants to be assimilated into American Society and to actually become Americans, in thought, word, deed, and LOYALTY.

Liberal President Jimmy Carter stopped Iranians from immigrating, because, just like the situation we faced today with Radical Islam, we were AT WAR.

In fact, Obama and his Administration are themselves being restrictive in whom they allow to immigrate to America, including restricting the immigration of persecuted Christians from the Middle East.

The only reason that all of the “perpetually concerned” Liberals are against Donald J. Trump’s proposals is that he is attempting to thwart their plans to rapidly import thousands of Muslims and Mexicans, whom the Powers That Be view as potential Democrat Voters, into our country.

The Washington Examiner reports that

Secretary of State John Kerry took a shot at Donald Trump during his Friday commencement speech to Northeastern University graduates, by saying no wall is big enough to keep dangerous terrorists out of the United States.

“Many of you were in elementary school when you learned the toughest lesson of all on 9/11,” he said in his speech at Boston Garden. “There are no walls big enough to stop people from anywhere, tens of thousands of miles away, who are determined to take their own lives while they target others.”

“So I think that everything that we’ve lived and learn tells us that we will never come out on top if we accept advice from sound-bite salesmen and carnival barkers who pretend the most powerful country on Earth can remain great by looking inward,” Kerry added. “And hiding behind walls at a time that technology has made that impossible to do and unwise to even attempt.”

Kerry didn’t mention Trump by name, but Trump has repeatedly called for a wall on the southern U.S. border, and many Democrats, and some Republicans, have taken to calling him a carnival barker.

One of the first things that Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) did when he became President of the United States of America, was to go on a World Apology Tour, bowing and scraping in front of friend and foe alike, apologizing for the United States of America and minimizing American Exceptionalism, representing the greatest country on God’s green Earth as being “just another country”.

And, to this day, Obama’s latest Secretary of State, John Kerry, is continuing that same failed “Smart Power!” Foreign Policy of negotiating from a strength of weakness.

Kerry, ever since Vietnam, has been very adept at using “weasel words”. He reveals much with his covert admission that, like his boss, President Barack Hussein Obama, Kerry does not believe in American Sovereignty, nor our Exceptionalism.

Like his Boss, President Barack Hussein Obama, Kerry believes that America is really “just another country”.

On July 17, 1980, Ronald Wilson Reagan, at the Republican National Convention, accepting their Nomination as the Presidential Candidate, spoke the following prophetic words:

The major issue of this campaign is the direct political, personal and moral responsibility of Democratic Party leadership — in the White House and in Congress — for this unprecedented calamity which has befallen us. They tell us they have done the most that humanly could be done. They say that the United States has had its day in the sun; that our nation has passed its zenith. They expect you to tell your children that the American people no longer have the will to cope with their problems; that the future will be one of sacrifice and few opportunities.

My fellow citizens, I utterly reject that view. The American people, the most generous on earth, who created the highest standard of living, are not going to accept the notion that we can only make a better world for others by moving backwards ourselves. Those who believe we can have no business leading the nation.

I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose. We have come together here because the American people deserve better from those to whom they entrust our nation’s highest offices, and we stand united in our resolve to do something about it.

We need rebirth of the American tradition of leadership at every level of government and in private life as well. The United States of America is unique in world history because it has a genius for leaders — many leaders, on many levels. But back in 1976, Mr. Carter said, “Trust me.” And a lot of people did. Now, many of those people are out of work. Many have seen their savings eaten away by inflation. Many others on fixed incomes, especially the elderly, have watched helplessly as the cruel tax of inflation wasted away their purchasing power. And, today, a great many who trusted Mr. Carter wonder if we can survive the Carter policies of national defense.

“Trust me” government asks that we concentrate our hopes and dreams on one man; that we trust him to do what’s best for us. My view of government places trust not in one person or one party, but in those values that transcend persons and parties. The trust is where it belongs — in the people. The responsibility to live up to that trust is where it belongs, in their elected leaders. That kind of relationship, between the people and their elected leaders, is a special kind of compact.

You see, Secretary Kerry, that is where the exceptionalism of America lies…not in the Halls of Power…but in the courage and spirit of the average American. A courage and spirit, which our history proves, has driven American Citizens to build a nation, which is indeed exceptional among all others.

The secret of this country’s exceptionalism is the “Average Joe”, the 9 to 5′er, working himself into the grave to try to provide for his family.

It was this same “Average Joe”, who fired the shot heard around the world and began the War for American Independence, who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day in World War II, who waded through rice paddies in Vietnam, and who swallowed sand in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. The same “Average Joe” who, as a New York City Policeman or Fireman, ran up the stairs of the World Trade Center on 9/11/01, instead of running down them. The same “Average Joe”, who simply wants things to be easier in this life for his children and grandchildren, than he had it.

It is this same “Average Joe”, who takes family and friends in, when they are in the midst of a life-altering tragedy. The same “Average Joe”, who volunteers on a soup line or at a Senior Citizens Home.

Liberal Bureaucrats, like Secretary of State John Kerry and his boss, are professional political prevaricators. Men and women, whose ethics and morality change with the direction of the wind, and whose egos override their judgement…every time.

America is a Constitutional Republic. We are not ruled by a faceless all-powerful government. America’s politicians, like you, Mr. Secretary, and your Boss, President Obama, are OUR SERVANTS….not the other way around.

And, as your Boss, I expect you to possess a more complete knowledge of the history of the most exceptional nation on the face of God’s green Earth. I expect you to honor and respect the lives given and the sacrifices made by courageous Americans, who paved the way for you and the rest of this selfish generation, who are so desperately attempting to rewrite American History in order for it to be in accordance with the tenets of their Liberal Ideology.

As our Founders wrote,

That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…

However, He BLESSED America.

Presumptive Republican Candidate for the Presidency of United States, Donald J. Trump, and the overwhelming majority of Americans, firmly believe this.

However, those in power, on both sides of the Political Aisle, have proven that they do not.

And, that is why they are so adamantly opposed to actually building the wall that President Reagan was promised by the Democrat Congress, when he granted Mass Amnesty, all of those decades ago, and protecting our Southern Border.

And, that is why it is time for a change.

Illegal Immigration and America’s Future: Sheriff Warns That American Will Become a “Border Country”, Unless the Next President “Takes Action”.

th (8)As the Primary Election Season rolls along, the subject of Illegal Immigration looms heavily on the minds of those already in Washington, those who want to be in Washington, and those who will put them there to represent them.

The Daily Caller reports that

In testimony before Congress Tuesday, a Maryland sheriff said amnesty for minors has led to increased gang crime and warned that without a secure border every county will be a “border county.”

“Open borders, reckless sanctuary policies, and failure to enforce our immigration laws have greatly impacted public safety and national security throughout every jurisdiction of this country. Every single day, more Americans are becoming victims of senseless crimes, being injured and killed by criminal aliens, many are transnational gang members,” said Sheriff Charles Jenkins of Frederick County, Md.

Frederick County is about 40 miles from Washington, D.C. Jenkins said that his cooperation with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the Department of Homeland Security’s 287(g) has helped rid his county of many illegal aliens.

“We have very effectively built a wall around Frederick County, given the fact that most surrounding jurisdictions do nothing or very little to cooperate with ICE,” Jenkins testified before the Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.

287(g) is a program that allows local police organizations to enforce federal immigration laws, though Jenkins claims that the Obama administration has gutted this program.

The sheriff said, “Since 2008, this Administration has weakened immigration enforcement by dismissing deportation cases, rescinding 287g agreements, encouraging sanctuary policies, and watering down detainer policies.”

“Case by case amnesty, back door amnesty, DACA programs, and the Dream Act were pushed through by executive order,” Jenkins said. He added, “In effect, criminal aliens that should have been deported have been allowed to remain and commit more serious crimes becoming violent offenders.”

Despite his efforts with ICE to deport illegal immigrants in his county, he has still experienced an increase in the presence of international Latin gangs such as MS-13 and 18th Street.

“The criminal alien gang numbers are growing, and the serious crimes being committed are increasing,” he testified. “There is also a nexus between the deferred action on unaccompanied minors and the increases we are seeing in gang crimes.”

Both MS-13 and 18th Street are recruiting in schools in his county and at one high school the two alien gangs break out into fights frequently. In 2015, 64 percent of the criminal alien gang members his sheriff’s department encountered entered the U.S as unaccompanied minors.

“Now they are adults committing serious felonies,” Jenkins said. In 2014, 8 illegal aliens were charged with the rape of girls aged 5 to 14, two of whom were impregnated.

The sheriff warned, “It is my belief that if this Congress and the next President do not take action to close and secure the border with Mexico and simply enforce the federal immigration laws that exist, every county in America will become a border county.”

America’s State, County, and Municipal Law Enforcement Officials are struggling to keep Americans safe from those who have no right to be here illegally in the first place.

An exit poll was taken among voters, who participated in yesterday’s New York Primary Election. The poll found that one-third of the voters supported the winner of the New York Primary, Donald J. Trump’s stated Campaign Platform, of deporting Illegal aliens.

Concerning the MS-13 and 18th Street Gangs, Trump’s Campaign Platform states that, as President, he will

Cooperate with local gang task forces. ICE officers should accompany local police departments conducting raids of violent street gangs like MS-13 and the 18th street gang, which have terrorized the country. All illegal aliens in gangs should be apprehended and deported. Again, quoting Chris Crane: “ICE Officers and Agents are forced to apply the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Directive, not to children in schools, but to adult inmates in jails. If an illegal-alien inmate simply claims eligibility, ICE is forced to release the alien back into the community. This includes serious criminals who have committed felonies, who have assaulted officers, and who prey on children…ICE officers should be required to place detainers on every illegal alien they encounter in jails and prisons, since these aliens not only violated immigration laws, but then went on to engage in activities that led to their arrest by police; ICE officers should be required to issue Notices to Appear to all illegal aliens with criminal convictions, DUI convictions, or a gang affiliation; ICE should be working with any state or local drug or gang task force that asks for such assistance.”

Believe or not, a legendary Democrat Leader agreed with Trump on what should be done with those who have broken our laws by entering our Sovereign Nation illegally.

The last bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform happened during President ill “Bubba” Clinton’s tenure. Bubba appointed former congresswoman and Democratic icon Barbara Jordan as its chair. Jordan came from humble beginnings to become a lawyer and the first Southern black woman elected to the House of Representatives. A DEMOCRAT, she was a leader in the civil rights movement, a professor of ethics, a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a world-class orator (two of her speeches are considered among the greatest of the 20th century). Her appointment gave the commission instant credibility. According to Jordan, she believed her responsibility as the head of the commission was to restore credibility to the U.S. immigration system. On the issue of illegal immigration, Jordan was very clear and succinct:

Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Those who should not be here will be required to leave.

Liberals, on both sides of the Political Aisle, have continuously masked their true intentions for the political usefulness, in granting amnesty to illegal aliens, by swathing it in the noble rhetoric of “Civil Rights” and “Social Justice”.

Please indulge me by allowing me the opportunity to wrap up today’s blog with the answer I gave on May 19. 2010,  to “Benito”, who submitted a rather lengthy comment filled with this same camouflage of noble intentions:

Benito, I approved your comment to ask you a few questions. First, you write very well. Next, a few questions. What part of the word “illegal” do you not understand? What makes the current influx of illegal immigrants exempt from the rules and regulations that every other generation of immigrants to this country had to abide by in order to become legal citizens of the greatest nation in the world? By being here illegally, you are not entitled to the same rights as natural-born or naturalized American citizens. You are no better than someone who breaks into someone’s home, does their dishes, cuts their yard, cleans their house, and then helps themselves to their food and drives their car without asking. This is in no way a human rights issue. Freedom is God-given. And with freedom comes responsibility. With citizenship comes responsibility, like paying taxes and making your own way. Illegal immigration reminds me of the amorous boyfriend who wants everything a young woman will give him, but will leave her at the first mention of marriage. I wish you no ill, amigo, but understand this: This is not a civil rights issue. Illegals do not have the same rights as American Citizens. With our rights, come the responsibilities of being an American citizen. The Mexican flag, by protocol, will always be flown in a subordinate position to the American Flag in this country. And, the American Dialect of the English language is the language spoken in this country.

I understand that people want a better life for themselves and their children.  We are all immigrants in this land, except for American Indians, and they got here by crossing the Bering Straight.  But there is a huge difference between immigrating here legally and sneaking in illegally, between assimilating into an existing culture, and insisting on replacing a country’s existing culture with that of the country you left.

I’m all for assisting anyone in becoming a legal citizen of the United States, if that is their wish.  But, it must be done the right way, and they must accept responsibility for their illegal entry, show a willingness to learn our language, and embrace our American way of life, including respecting the American Flag.

So, let’s take this one step at a time.  Build the Wall. Secure our borders.  Enforce the anti-illegal immigration laws.  And if the Federal Government won’t, the states, like Arizona, will have to pass their own laws.  America became a great nation because it is a melting pot of American-born and legally-immigrated citizens with a shared allegiance, not a multi-cultural United Nations with everyone loyal to their home country.

As the diseases which the Mexican Munchkin Migration brought in with them have warned us, a wide-open Southern Border is as big a threat to the sovereignty of the United States as anything that our enemies can throw at us right now.  All of OUR SERVANTS, up on Capitol HIll, need to quit playing political games.  The safety of America is at stake .

The Republican Debate: Rubio Attacks! Cruz Attacks! Trump Responds! Did Anything Actually Change?

Fliped-Off-600-LAAfter the debate last night, when the dust settled, according to CNN, there were 6 things that we learned about the Republican Candidates for that Party’s Presidential Nomination.

In today’s blog, I present their analysis and then, I analyze their analysis.

Hey, us “rubes”, here in “Flyover Country” are entitled to our opinion, too. Aren’t we?

CNN.com reports that

Donald Trump is leading the race, but Marco Rubio owned the stage — finally turning against Trump in a late effort to block the real estate mogul from running away with the Republican nomination.Rubio attacked Trump’s character. And Ted Cruz followed up by questioning Trump’s conservative credentials. 

The big questions of the night: Which senator did a better job convincing voters they can best take on Trump? Did Rubio’s attacks and interruptions show a new side of himself? Did Cruz do enough to persuade people he’s worth another look? Or did Trump’s dismissive counters — Rubio is a “choke artist,” while Cruz is a “liar” — leave him looking like a strongman swatting away the sorts of politicians that turned his supporters furious in the first place?

Here are six takeaways from the final Republican debate before Super Tuesday:

Rubio stands up to Trump 
From the opening minutes, Rubio mercilessly prodded, slammed and taunted Trump, talking over him in the sort of sustained way that Jeb Bush never could.

Rubio called the real estate mogul’s Trump University “a fake school.” He invoked Trump’s business record to question his sincerity on immigration, saying: “You’re the only person on this stage that’s ever been fined for hiring people that worked on your projects illegally.”

When Trump dismissed those allegations as old news, Rubio shot back: “I guess there’s a statute of limitations on lies.”

Later, as Trump insisted that the crux of his health care plan would involve allowing insurance purchases across state lines, Rubio pressed for more specifics, saying that “now he’s repeating himself” — an ironic response from a candidate who has been mocked as robotic for repeating talking points at speeches and debates.

“I don’t repeat myself,” Trump said.

“He repeats himself every day,” Rubio answered, adding that Trump’s refrains are all familiar: “Everybody’s dumb, we’re gonna make America great again, we’re gonna win, win, win…”

Rubio also got in a memorable retort on Israel. Even as Trump called himself “totally pro-Israel,” he said he didn’t believe there was any reason for labeling Israel and the Palestinians as the “good guy” and the “bad guy.”

“The position you’ve taken is an anti-Israel position,” Rubio said.

When Trump said he was simply a “negotiator,” Rubio shot back: “The Palestinians are not a real estate deal, Donald.”

Through it all, Rubio kept a smile on his face — almost as if to say to the audience, “Can you believe this guy?”

Rubio finally showed a fire in his belly last night, because, as I reported last week, with Jeb! quitting and going “home to Mother”, Rubio, has been selected as the Republican Establishment’s “Guy”.

Why Rubio was relentless against Trump 

For Rubio, it was now or never. His attacks, and those of Cruz, weren’t necessarily new in substance — Trump isn’t a conservative, Trump is untrustworthy, and so on — but what stood out was Rubio’s sense of urgency to put himself center stage with the billionaire front-runner.

What it was about: Lighting a fire under the donor class and GOP establishment.

Rubio has to demonstrate that he’s worth a massive investment — right this minute — to try to block Trump from winning a nomination that the establishment grows more convinced by the day is his for the taking.

“We have an incredible decision to make, not just about the direction of America but the identity of our party and the conservative movement. The time for games is over,” Rubio said in his closing statement.

“I know you had a lot of choices to make, but now it’s time to narrow it down and I’m asking you to get behind me … so we can bring an end to this silliness, this looniness.”

The new “Chosen One” has a problem, however.

The Republican Voters don’t want to vote for him.

With 19 days to go until the Florida Republican primary, Trump has a 16-point lead over Rubio, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll. Even as the Junior Senator from Florida, Rubio has failed to win any of the early nominating contests, facing absolute must-win situation in the state he represents in the U.S. Senate. If Trump wins Florida’s 99 delegates, it would probably “all be over, but the shoutin”, as regards Trump’s securing the nomination.

Trump’s counterattacks draw blood

An underestimated Trump quality: His counterpunches often play extremely well with conservatives who distrust politicians and the media.

For instance, an early exchange, when Rubio asserted that Trump is “the only person on this stage that’s ever been fined for hiring people that worked on your projects illegally.”

Trump’s response: “I’m the only one on this stage that’s hired people.”

Another of his one-liners may have been the most damaging. “This guy’s a choke artist, and this guy’s a liar,” he said, turning to first Rubio and then Cruz.

Expect to hear more of that in the days ahead. Time and time again, Trump has proven that he owns the post-debate.

Whether it’s leveraging his massive influence on social media to wage a war against Fox’s Megyn Kelly or driving home his best lines of attack by calling in to every news television show on the air, he has a way of shortening the half-life of bad headlines.

As soon as the debate ended, he mocked Rubio’s perspiration.

“It looked like he just came out of a swimming pool. He was soaking wet,” Trump told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “He’s a meltdown guy. I mean I look at him, he’s just pouring sweat. … We need somebody that doesn’t sweat.”

Boys and girls, Trump did not become a billionaire by being an idiot.

Remember, he is a master at “owning the stage”. He is also an American Businessman, who has negotiated multi-million dollar deals. He knows that perception is a powerful thing and a sharp, strong, effective comeback stays with the listener longer than the original accusation does.

Trump shows why he’s winning

He was hit from both sides of the stage Thursday night, but Trump managed to score some points of his own.

He consistently owns some issues that none of his rivals fight him for.

Trump laid into Mexico and China, blasting U.S. trade policies and giving Americans a direct outlet for their anger about job losses and wage stagnation.

He used former Mexican President Vicente Fox’s attack in a Fusion interview, when he said he’s “not going to pay for that f—ing wall” that Trump wants to build, to showcase his strength in the face of adversity.

“The wall just got 10 feet higher,” Trump said.

Yesterday, all across the Internet, Trump opponents from both sides of the political aisle, were posting a quote from him, in which he said that he liked “uneducated people”.

The quote came back to bite them in the hindquarters, because it was proven to have been an incomplete quote.

As I have written,

Trump is riding the crest of an ever-growing anger over the inaction of Professional Politicians, whom, after being voted into National Office by their constituents back home, have literally bitten the hand that feeds them, tossing Ma and Pa Kettle aside for Big Money Donors and the Political Prestige of “reaching across the aisle”, i.e.. “selling out”.

Did Cruz do enough?

He spent much of his time attacking Trump, too — but Cruz was clearly Robin to Rubio’s Batman in going after the front-runner on stage.

The Texas senator’s line of attack was designed to undercut Trump’s conservative credentials. And if that was the goal, he had some success — with Trump asserting at one point that “millions of women are helped by Planned Parenthood,” a group that is anathema on the right.

Mostly, though, Cruz waited for openings that were never there — because Rubio had spotted them first.

Cruz did regain his footing late in the debate, laying into Trump for donating to Democratic politicians and deflecting Trump’s goading that he not “get nervous” by saying, “I promise, Donald, there is nothing about you that makes anyone nervous.”

But the most raucous debate yet was about personality, and Cruz showed less of it than Rubio and Trump.

His best line might have come at the start of the debate.

“In 2013 when I was leading the fight against the ‘Gang of Eight’ amnesty bill, where was Donald?” Cruz said. “He was firing Dennis Rodman on ‘Celebrity Apprentice.'”

Cruz’s problem — Rubio’s attacks showed a new side of the Florida senator, and that may get him more of a second look than Cruz gets.

It “may”.  But, then again, with the anger and resentment toward the Establishment (Vichy) Republicans by average Americans, here in “Flyover Country”, Rubio’s newfound “Establishment Creds” “may” stop his “surge” dead in its tracks.

Also, there are still a lot of Americans who still like Senator Cruz. I like him. I just don’t see any “coalition-building” happening in his campaign.

‘Can someone attack me, please?’ 

That was Ben Carson’s unsuccessful effort to work his way into an explosive exchange between Rubio, Trump and Cruz.

There were five candidates on stage. But Carson and Ohio Gov. John Kasich were both off to the side — their refusal to engage with other candidates, or criticize anything at all, turned both into afterthoughts.

Asked to judge his whether his opponents understand the importance of winning the support of Latinos, Kasich delivered a line that underscored his entire night, starting his answer by saying: “I’m not going to talk about that.”

But Carson may own social media for another line. When it comes to choosing a Supreme Court nominee, Carson said, he would look examine “the fruit salad of their life.”

It is a shame about Dr. Carson. He is a great American and a very good man.

However, it is time for both him and Gov. Kasich to call it a day and “suspend” their campaigns.

Going into Super Tuesday, it’s time for preliminaries to be over with. It’s time to separate the wheat from the chaff. It’s “Crunch Time”.

“This is it. Make no mistake where you are.”

“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.”

“When the going gets tough…”

Anyway, it is time to focus on the top three Candidates for the Republican Presidential Nomination.

Because, the way this campaign is shaping up, the Republican Nominee may be decided on Super Tuesday.

Trump Calls Out “El Chapo”. “El Chapo” Responds. Illegals’ Criminality Nothing New.

th (8)President Hopeful Donald Trump remains in the Political Spotlight as we begin the three-ring circus that leads to the election of the next President of the United States of America.

News of Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman’s Saturday night escape from a Mexican prison prompted Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to take to his 2.2 million-person Facebook account with messages aimed at the fecklessness of his presidential rivals’ abilities to handle the world’s most notorious drug lord.
“Can you envision Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton negotiating with ‘El Chapo,’ the Mexican drug lord who escaped from prison? Trump, however, on the other hand would kick his ass!” read a Sunday night post. Under Trump’s message was a video with zany photos of Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Barack Obama, John Kerry, and George W. Bush interspersed with the words: “Who do you want negotiating for us? All talk no action politicians? Or Trump?”

Trump initially adopted the ‘El Chapo’ theme with an earlier Sunday Facebook post that read: “Mexico’s biggest drug lord escapes from jail. Unbelievable corruption and USA is paying the price. I told you so!”

The billionaire real estate mogul also pounded the issue Monday morning: “The U.S. will invite El Chapo, the Mexican drug lord who just escaped prison, to become a U.S. citizen because our ‘leaders’ can’t say no!” read Trump’s Facebook post.

Donald Trump is currently leading the GOP primary contenders in a recent Economist/YouGov poll.

It appears that Trump got a rise out of the criminal in Question.

According to The Daily Mail,

Mexico’s billion dollar drugs lord known as ‘El Chapo’ has gloated on Twitter about his escape from a maximum security jail by taunting authorities and threatening US-presidential hopeful Donald Trump. 

Joaquin Guzman, billionaire head of the powerful Sinaloa Cartel, made his jail break on Saturday morning and is on the run from Altiplano jail, 50 miles outside of Mexico City, security officials said.

His audacious escape saw him dash through the mile-long tunnel system, which led to a building under construction next to the prison – from where he collected clothes left for him by his conspirators. 

But following his escape he has took to Twitter and used it to hit back at Trump, who has said that the Guzman embodies ‘everything that is wrong with Mexico’ and added he would ‘kick his ass’. 

On the account, administered by Guzman’s son Ivan, the escapee reportedly wrote: ‘If you keep p****** me off I’m going to make you eat your words you f****** blonde milk-s*****’. 

In Mexico, a milk-s****** is a homophobic slur. 

The property magnate is taking the threat seriously.

According to TMZ, the billionaire has called in the FBI to investigate the source of the Twitter account which warned Trump he would be sorry he spoke out against Mexico.

Charming, isn’t he?

You want to know why Mexico’s criminals and Power Brokers, and our professional politicians are so mad at Donald Trump?

Because he’s right.

Police say [Robert Krentz], whose family has been ranching in southern Arizona since 1907, was gunned down early Saturday morning, March 27th, 2010, by an illegal immigrant while out on his ATV tending to fences and water lines on the family’s 34,000-acre cattle ranch.

Reached by phone early Tuesday at his family’s ranch, Andy Krentz, Krentz’s oldest son, said his father was a churchgoing man who routinely went out of his way to help those in need.

“My father was a very good family man,” Krentz told FoxNews.com. “He supported his kids, supported his family. He went out of his way to help anybody we could without regarding to who they were.  It didn’t matter who they were.”

Sue Krentz, Krentz’s wife, said she was “pretty overwhelmed” by her husband’s death, which coincided with her parents’ deteriorating health.

“This is icing on the cake,” Krentz said.

A commenter on that post, named Frank, replied,

Yes, a crying shame. Robert was a good man and excellent cattleman. I knew him and did some business with him over the years. All handshake deals, I might add. Almost everyone I know in the cattle business in Texas knew him and liked him. And for that know-nothing man child at 1600 to use this legislation to rev up his amnesty plan is unforgiveable. The very thought that Robert’s murderers might possibly be among those whom Obama seeks to empower is sickening.

…An internal Department of Homeland Security document obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies, a limited immigration group, and shared with Breitbart News Monday revealed that last year ICE released 36,007 criminal immigrants who had nearly 88,000 convictions.

The document further broke down the crimes and number of convictions – including 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions, and 1,075 aggravated assault convictions.

CIS detailed the document’s findings in a report Monday morning, explaining that ICE prepared the document in response to congressional inquiries seeking additional information about the number of criminal aliens released into the United States and the crimes for which they were convicted.

Obama and his political party, the Democrats, see potential voters, to be added to their roll through Amnesty.

What’s worse, the Establishment, or Vichy, Republicans naively think that, if they support pardoning those who are in our country illegally, the pardoned lawbreakers will forget about the Democrats, who give out free stuff, via taxpayer-funded programs, and vote for them.

Why are Americans listening to what Trump has to say…and agreeing with him?

And, why does Obama continue to push for amnesty for illegal aliens, even with the heat being placed on him by the violent crimes being committed by illegals?

Obama, voted by the American People, the “Worst president Since World War II”, finds himself is a rapidly weakening position of power.

His popularity is swirling down the ol’ porcelain receptacle, and even his own party members are trying to distance themselves from him.

His only hope to retain his power base is to create, politically, his own ”private army” of Democrat voters, composed of, as Mitt Romney called them, “the 47%”  of Americans dependent on Uncle Sugar and these new illegal aliens, whom he has been whisking off, via governmental transport, to be dispersed throughout the country, where, within a couple of years, they will be old enough to vote.

By ginning up the dependent base already here…and growing…due to this new influx of illegals…to push Congress to support Obama in passing Amnesty, Obama is creating his own “Bolsheviks”, to fulfill his promise of “rapidly changing” America as we know it.

Far fetched? Perhaps.

At the same time , Trump is bringing a decidedly Pro-America message to its citizens.

And, Americans, in turn, are remembering what the greatest President in my lifetime, Ronald Wilson Reagan, once said,

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same. 

Whether Trump makes it to the Republican Convention as their Presidential Nominee or not, he has definitely caught the attention of our nation to a clear and present danger.

And, that’s a good thing.

Federal Appeals Court Tells Obama “No” to Amnesty E.O. Presidential Temper Tantrum Ensues.

illegal immigration 7714The high-pitched wailing, which was heard around America yesterday afternoon, was not our Civil Defense Warning System being activated.

It was Petulant President Pantywaist himself, Barack Hussein Obama, having a Presidential Temper Tantrum, because he did not get his way.

The New York Times reports that

A federal appeals court on Tuesday denied the Obama administration’s request to lift a hold on the president’s executive actions on immigration, which would have granted protection from deportation as well as work permits to millions of immigrants in the country illegally.

Two of three judges on a panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, in New Orleans, left in place an injunction by a Federal District Court judge in Brownsville, Tex. The ruling comes in a lawsuit filed by Texas and 25 other states against actions President Obama took in November. Many of the initiatives were scheduled to take effect this month.

The appeals court found that the states had sufficient legal grounds to bring the lawsuit and that the administration had not shown that it would be harmed if the injunction remained in place and the programs were further delayed.

Also denied was a request by the administration to limit the injunction to the states bringing the lawsuit. The ruling is a second setback for programs the president hoped would be a major piece of his legacy, raising new uncertainty about whether they will take effect before the end of his term and casting doubts on the confidence of administration lawyers that their case was very strong.

In a statement, Ken Paxton, the attorney general of Texas, said Mr. Obama had tried to impose “a drastic change in immigration policy” without the consent of Congress. The appeals court decision is “a victory for those committed to preserving the rule of law in America,” Mr. Paxton said. “We will continue to fight the brazen lawlessness that has become a trademark of the Obama administration.”

White House officials said the ruling was not surprising, but they declined to discuss the next legal move for the administration.

“Today, two judges of the Fifth Circuit chose to misrepresent the facts and the law,” a White House spokeswoman, Brandi Hoffine, said. “The president’s actions were designed to bring greater accountability to our broken immigration system, grow the economy and keep our communities safe. They are squarely within the bounds of his authority and they are the right thing to do for the country.”

The Justice Department could appeal the ruling on the emergency stay to the full appeals court, but legal experts said it was more likely that the administration would skip that conservative court and ask the Supreme Court to allow the programs to proceed.

The legal wrangling suggests that Mr. Obama and his aides may have underestimated the legal and political challenges to offering protections to more than four million illegal immigrants without a congressional vote.

In the 70-page opinion, two judges wrote that Texas had shown it would incur significant costs in issuing driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants who would be allowed to stay in the country. The judges, Jerry E. Smith and Jennifer Elrod, also rejected the administration’s argument that the programs could not be reviewed by the courts because they stemmed from policy decisions by the president on how to enforce the immigration laws.

Judge Stephen A. Higginson disagreed. He wrote that the administration was “adhering to the law, not derogating from it.”

Immigrant advocates supporting the president worried that the longer the initiatives are held up, the harder it could be to persuade immigrants to come forward to sign up.

So, with 40% of America’s Workforce giving up on the American Dream and dropping out of our workforce, King Barack the First decided that he would increase the competition for America’s jobs, by issuing a Royal Decree (Executive Order) granting amnesty to those who have illegally entered our Sovereign Nation, to the detriment of legal American citizens.

In 2013, brilliant American Economist and Political Pundit, Dr. Thomas Sowell, was interviewed by Laura Ingraham, on her syndicated radio program. Here is what he had to say about Amnesty and the Economy:

That’s incredible. I mean —first of all to an economist, it is incredible to speak about shortages without talking about prices, in this case wages…You know there, there have been so many predictions of shortages of so many occupations and the shortages don’t materialize. And why not? Because if there is a shortage, the wage rate goes up. That attracts in more people and lo and behold, the jobs are filled.

In agriculture, the farmers would obviously prefer to get workers who get low pay rather than workers they have to pay a higher wage. And as long as there are an unlimited supply of farm workers coming in from Mexico, they will never have to raise the wages very much. They say Americans won’t do these jobs. These are jobs Americans have done for generations, if not centuries. And it’s a time when millions of Americans are out of work, and are looking for any kind of work. And so this is utter nonsense.

…They constantly talk about immigrants in the abstract. You know, there are no such thing as abstract immigrants. There are immigrants from country a, b, c, d. They are radically different. People coming in from some countries almost never go on welfare. Immigrants coming in from other countries go on welfare to a great extent. If we’re going to have a rational immigration policy, then we have to be able to decide what people, what countries, what occupations — things like that, instead of rushing everything through.

The other main thing though is that if we don’t control the borders, we don’t have an immigration policy because regardless of what policy you put on paper, if people can just walk across the border when they darn well please, then your policy means nothing. The other thing that bothers me is the Republicans seem to think we will give — illegal immigrants citizenship if they do a, b or c. Democrats say x, y and z. I don’t know why we need promise anybody citizenship before we get control of the borders and have time to sit down and think and look at the facts, and then try to draw up some rational policy.

In 1903,  Jacob A. Riis,  a reporter who was born in Denmark in 1849 and immigrated to America at the age of 21, wrote the following about the immigrants who landed at Ellis Island,

The railroad ferries come and take their daily host straight from Ellis Island to the train, ticketed now with the name of the route that is to deliver them at their new homes, West and East. And the Battery boat comes every hour for its share. Then the many-hued procession-the women are hooded, one and all, in their gayety shawls for the entry-is led down on a long pathway divided in the middle by a wire screen, form behind which come shrieks of recognition from fathers, brothers, uncles, and aunts that are gathered there in the holiday togs of Mulberry or Division Street. The contrast is sharp-an artist would say all in favor of the newcomers. But they would be the last to agree with him. In another week the rainbow colors will have been laid aside, and the landscape will be poorer for it. On the boat they meet their friends, and the long journey is over, the new life begun.Those who have no friends run the gauntlet of the boarding-house runners, and take their chances with the new freedom, unless the missionary or “the society” of their people holds out a helping hand. For at the barge-office gate Uncle Sam lets go. Through it they must walk alone.

I know that you have heard America referred to as a Melting Pot.

That phrase was actually made popular in the 1908 play, “The Melting Pot,” a stage play by Israel Zangwill that encouraged assimilation into our nation’s culture by the immigrants of the time.

Zangwill was the London-born son of Russian Jewish immigrants. His play made its debut in Washington in 1908 and played in New York for four months the next year. The main character is David Quixano, a Jewish immigrant, orphaned by a pogram, which is a massacre of Jews. Quizano lives with his uncle on Staten Island and becomes smitten with the daughter of a Russian nobleman.

In the end, the good guy(David) gets the girl, which inspires him to shout from the rooftop of a Lower East Side settlement house that “America is God’s crucible” and to proclaim: “What is the glory of Rome and Jerusalem where all nations and races come to worship and look back, compared with the glory of America, where all races and nations come to labor and look forward!”

What Petulant President Pantywaist and his sycophantic Liberal supporters in Washington, the Main Stream Media, and elsewhere fail to realize, is that you can’t buy loyalty to a nation. 

The British found that out with their hired German Mercenaries, the Hessians, during the Revolutionary War.

In their self-absorbed Political Greed, America’s professional politicians are setting the stage for the possible fall of our nation.

Legal Immigrants earned their citizenship. They showed that they were willing to become a part of the Great American Melting Pot (from the Schoolhouse Rock video of the same name).

And, what about the 40% of America’s Workforce, who have dropped out due to frustration, depression, and aggravation?
