House Select Committee “Investigating” January 6th Votes 9-0 to Recommend Mark Meadows for Prosecution for Criminal Contempt of Congress

Mark Meadows

FoxNews.com reports that

The House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol voted 9-0 on Monday to recommend former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows for prosecution for criminal contempt of Congress after he refused to testify before the panel.

The seven Democrats and two Republicans on the panel voted 9-0 in favor.

The House will take the next step in the process of holding Meadows in contempt of Congress with a vote in the Rules Committee on Tuesday morning. A vote by the full House on the measure could come the same day.

“Mr. Meadows was in contact with at least some of the private individuals who planned and organized a January 6 rally, one of whom reportedly may have expressed safety concerns to Mr. Meadows about January 6 events,” Jan. 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., wrote in a 51-page report released late Sunday. “Mr. Meadows used his personal cell phone to discuss the rally in the days leading up to January 6.”

Meadows, a former North Carolina congressman who served as the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, was previously cooperating with the committee’s investigation into the events surrounding the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. He later stopped working with the investigators and is now suing them.

A Monday letter from Meadows’ attorney, George Terwilliger, argued that referring Meadows for contempt would harm the institution of the presidency by treading on the separation of powers, potentially making future presidential advisers reluctant to offer the president their full and honest advice on key decisions.

The Jan. 6 Committee, however, is aggressively asserting what it claims are its constitutional powers of oversight and investigation. Thompson and Ranking Member Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said last week that Meadows’ claims of privilege do not extend to much of what he would discuss with the committee.

Last week, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) confirmed they are in talks with counsel for Meadows regarding records he did not properly transfer to his official government account from his personal phone and email.

Meadows is the latest Trump adviser to face the legal ire of Jan. 6 committee. In November, a federal grand jury charged former senior Trump adviser Steve Bannon with two counts of contempt of Congress.

Bannon was charged after failing to appear for a deposition in front of the Jan. 6 committee, as well as for not handing over requested documents in the face of the committee’s subpoena, according to the Justice Department.

Why does this January 6th Committee even exist?

Simple. Pelosi is covering her a@@. Plus, their purpose for being is to distract from the disaster that is the Biden Presidency..

As anyone who has halfway been paying attention knows, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in charge of the Capitol Police, who opened the doors for the rioters to enter the Capitol Building.

Now, boys and girls, I’m just spit-balling here, but there a several things that just do not add up in Pelosi and the Democrats’ version of what happened on January 6, 2021.

Information has come out that the “insurrection” was pre-planned. An allegation proven by the fact that pipe bombs were planted and found before the end of President Trump’s speech that day.

Also, the “rioters” were already “storming” the Capitol while Trump was still speaking.

And, why did Pelosi and McConnell block the request for 10,000 National Guard Troops from President Trump, himself?

Oh, and why did the Capitol Police Officers guarding the Capital Building let the rioters in?

By the way, of the two hundred fifty people, out of the tens of thousands who were at Trump’s Speech, arrested for their actions that day, they are finding nut jobs who DID NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP.

In fact, they did not even vote in the 2020 Presidential Election.

Y’know, Pelosi sure is reticent to talk about her duties as Speaker of the House as they pertain to the “insurrection”.

I hope that I do not sound like a conspiracy theorist, but…what if the entire “insurgence” on January 6th was not just preplanned but it was a political frame job by Pelosi and the Democrat Elite.

Come to think of it, my supposition is not that far-fetched when you consider the same crowd attempted to unconstitutionally impeach a private citizen simply because they were overcome with Trump Derangement Syndrome and they did not want to him to be able to run for President again in 2024 or be involved in politics in any way.

And, now those same professional politicians are going to to provide cover for themselves with a “9/11-Style Commission”, once again going after a private citizen in a vendetta which the entire nation has already recognized to be wrong and not important to the needs of our country and her people .

This is nothing but a Kangaroo Court presided on by a bunch of hypocrites trying to  divert Americans’ attention from the fact that they are in the midst of radically changing our Constitutional Republic into a Marxist Nation.

No wonder Trump has invoked “Executive Privilege”

I hope that Mark Meadows receives a whole lot of money from his lawsuits.

It couldn’t happen to a “nicer” bunch.

Until He Comes,

Former Trump Chief of Staff Says That Dems’ Jan.6 Select Committee “Is More Interested In Politics Than They Are Really Solving Real Problems”

Mark Meadows

Newsmax.com reports that

The “hyper-partisan” Jan. 6 Select Committee is not concerned with facts, the law, or executive privilege and only seeks a narrative to distract from the “failing” Biden administration, according to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on Newsmax.

“We worked real hard to try to reach an accommodation with the committee, and yet it’s been basically their way or the highway,” Meadows told “Rob Schmitt Tonight” after he declined to appear on subpoena from the committee early Friday.

“Congress has gotten so hyper-partisan and, candidly, this committee is more interested in politics than they are really solving real problems,” he added.

The committee indicted former White House strategist Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress, the first time an indictment has been sought on that charge when executive privilege had been asserted by a U.S. president.

“They took a very aggressive move today and sadly, you know, I think what most Americans are seeing this is an attempt to really keep the focus on Jan. 6 and not on their failing Biden administration policy,” Meadows told host Rob Schmitt.

Meadows said he was not unwilling to share information with the committee, including information that counters the Democrats’ Jan. 6 narrative, but he said courts must first weigh in on Trump’s executive privilege.

“It would be irresponsible for Mr. Meadows to prematurely resolve that dispute by voluntarily waiving privileges that are at the heart of those legal issues,” his attorney George Terwilliger III wrote in a statement as former President Donald Trump is seeking legal protection on his executive privileged communications.

“These are complex legal matters,” Meadows added to Schmitt. “Quite frankly, you’ve got a number of difference of opinions – kind of got me in the in the middle of it – where we’ve got a president in President Trump that is saying that he wants to claim executive privilege. There’s case law that would suggest that that’s appropriate.

“You’ve got Congress that’s saying, ‘No, we’re not going to do that; we’re going to hold you in contempt if you don’t show up.’

“Hopefully the courts will weigh in.”

Democrats are using a playbook they have been following during the Trump era: Concoct a narrative and keep selling it until it becomes adopted by the media, which gobbles up selectively spun leaks, Meadows said.

“They have a they have a track record of doing that: You know what they’ll do is they’ll selectively leak,” Meadows said. “We saw that during the impeachment. We’ve seen that with the Steele dossier. They leak out little parts of it when they know they know better and, sadly, it hurts their reputation.”

Meadows noted the long overdue corrections from The Washington Post on taking the Democrats’ bait on the Russia collusion narrative the Clinton campaign spun and paid to disseminate to try to damage Trump in the public and subvert his administration.

“This was always a narrative where we had the Hillary Clinton campaign actually feeding information to someone to try to authenticate that,” Meadows concluded. “And, then ultimately, these sources that they’re now having to retract were actually made up sources.

“So they spun their whole narrative, but here’s what you’ll start to find out is that a number of people closely tied to the Clinton campaign where not only shopping this information, but they were giving the information and then trying to authenticate it.

Not only are the Democrats up on Capitol Hill attempting a misdirection play to cover for #DementiaJoe, Pelosi is covering her a@@, also.

FBI/DOJ’s “Media Leak Strategy” Just the Tip of the Iceberg

untitled (188)

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1039473456709021696

FoxNews.com reports that

A top Republican congressman and fired FBI agent Peter Strzok’s lawyer traded scathing, no-holds-barred accusations of deliberate dishonesty on Tuesday, one day after newly unearthed text messages showed Strzok discussing a “media leak strategy” with the Justice Department in April 2017.

The texts were first outlined in a letter sent by Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Monday. In one of the messages, dated April 10, Strzok tells former FBI attorney Lisa Page, “I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go.”

In a revised letter sent Tuesday, Meadows, who serves on the House Oversight Committee, writes that on April 22, Strzok texted that “article is out! Well done, Page.” It is unclear what article Strzok was referring to, or whether it was about the Russia case. In Meadows’ original letter, however, he claimed that exchange occurred on April 12 — one day after The Washington Post published a story titled, “FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor former Trump adviser Carter Page.”

Meadows’ revised letter also includes a comment from Strzok to Page on April 12, in which Strzok suggests an article about Page’s “namesake” would soon come out. That was an apparent reference to Page, the former Trump adviser whom the FBI surveilled for months after obtaining a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court. During April 2017, there was widespread reporting about Page, his Russia contacts, the FBI’s interest in those contacts and the surveillance warrant that is supposed to remain secret.

According to Strzok’s lawyer, Meadows wildly misinterpreted those texts when he told Rosenstein that they “should lead a reasonable person to question whether there was a sincere desire to investigate wrongdoing or to place derogatory information in the media to justify a continued probe.”

“The term ‘media leak strategy’ in Mr. Strzok’s text refers to a Department-wide initiative to detect and stop leaks to the media,” Aitan Goelman, Strzok’s attorney, said earlier Tuesday. “The president and his enablers are once again peddling unfounded conspiracy theories to mislead the American people.”

But Meadows made it clear Tuesday he was not buying that explanation.

“If Peter Strzok and his attorney expect people to believe Mr. Strzok didn’t make contact with various news outlets during his time at the FBI, after all the documents and evidence we’ve seen, they are trying to sell a work of fiction,” Meadows said. “The American people aren’t buying his misdirection. Furthermore, if in fact Mr. Strzok did lead an effort to ‘control leaks,’ as his attorney suggests, it’s worth mentioning that such an alleged effort was clearly a failure. It should raise questions whether there was a serious effort at all.”

Strzok, who was a leading investigator in both the Hillary Clinton and Russia probes, was fired in August after the DOJ inspector general excoriated him for a slew of anti-Trump text messages he’d sent on his FBI-issued phone, including one in which he said “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming president.

Carter Page has not been charged with any wrongdoing. Heavily redacted documents have since shown that a dossier written by ex-British spy Christopher Steele and funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign played a role in obtaining the FISA warrant to surveil him beginning in October 2016.

Documents also have shown that the FBI inaccurately reassured the FISA court on several instances that a Yahoo News article provided independent basis to surveil Page, when it also relied on Steele as its source.

In his original and revised letters, Meadows noted that The Post’s reporting improperly set off “a flurry of articles suggesting connections between President Trump and Russia.”

At this point, if anyone believes a single work that comes out of the mouth of Peter Strzok or his lawyer, then they should come and see me. I have signed copies of the new book “How to Be a Socialist on $150,000,000” by Jim Carrey to sell them.

Of course, they were leaking to the media.

As I have chronicled, the Deep State Operation to take down Donald J. Trump began when he started campaigning for the Presidency. Why the heck would those responsible end it after he won the election and became the 45th President of the United States of America?

There is so much obvious stuff that we have found out about this operation, including things which seems odd on their own until you put 2 + 2 together.

For example, why did Barack Hussein Obama move into a house with his Girl Friday, Valerie Jarrett, just scant blocks from the White House, instead of leaving town like every other President has in the past?

Why did Special Counsel Robert Mueller hire 17 Democratic Donors as his Special Investigators?

Why has Mueller gone silent and Obama reappeared into the national spotlight with the Midterm Elections just a couple of months away?

Why have Robert Woodward and the New York Times published a book and an op ed using stories from “unnamed sources” as to how awful the Trump White House is right before the Midterms?

In my humble opinion, Congressman Meadows is exactly right.

Average Americans remain extremely skeptical concerning the actions taken against Trump by the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Americans between the coasts have always believed that Mueller and his “17 Angry Democrats” are nothing but a political lynch mob, tools of the Democratic Party.

And speaking of….Democrats ( you thought I was going to say “tools” didn’t you?) Former President Barack Hussein Obama was not well received at all by average Americans with his ego-driven diatribe against President Trump and the Economic Recovery which America is experiencing.

In summary, what I trying to say is what a lot of us have been thinking and saying for well over a year and a half:

The Democrats, in conjunction with Career Washington Bureaucrats working in various aspects of government, including the DOJ and the FBI, have been performing surveillance and working against Donald J. Trump, both when he was a candidate and throughout his Presidency. And, they were following orders from President Obama in order to secure the Presidency for Hillary Clinton.

As Obama’s Former Pastor, Reverend wright would say,

This whole Deep State Operation’s Chickeeens are coming home…to roost.

It’s time for President Trump to get the plunger and to drain this part of the Swamp.

Until He Comes,

KJ
