NBC News reported yesterday that

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a major overhaul of the party’s organization, which has been stung by recent crises — and the DNC has requested resignation letters from all current staffers. Party staff routinely see major turnover with a new boss and they had been alerted to expect such a move. However, the mass resignation letters will give Perez a chance to completely remake the DNC’s headquarters from scratch. Staffing had already reached unusual lows following a round of post-election layoffs in December.

Immediately after Perez’s selection as party chairman in late February, an adviser to outgoing DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile, Leah Daughtry, asked every employee to submit a letter of resignation dated April 15, according to multiple sources familiar with the party’s internal workings.

A committee advising Perez on his transition is now interviewing staff and others as part of a top-to-bottom review process to decide not only who will stay and who will go, but how the party should be structured in the future.

It began with accusations that the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, continued with the wrenching exposure of hacked emails and the abrupt resignation of former chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and concluded with the shocking defeat of its presidential nominee and a divisive race for the new party chairman.

The grueling experience, which followed years in which many Democrats felt the Obama White House ignored the party organization, has left the DNC with a crisis of confidence and competence.

Now Perez, who spent most of his career in government and not politics, needs to rebuild the beleaguered party, take on President Donald Trump, tap into a unique moment of progressive activism across the country, and replenish the party’s coffers.

“I wouldn’t wish that on anybody,” California Gov. Jerry Brown told Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “I was the Democratic Party chairman in California — it’s a miserable job. So, Tom, too bad.”

Perez has spent his first weeks on the job in “active listening mode,” hearing from Democrats in Washington and in small group meetings across the country before making any big moves.

“What we’re trying to do is culture change,” he told NBC News between stops of a listening tour in Michigan on Friday. “We’re repairing a plane at 20,000 feet. You can’t land the plane, shut it down, and close it until further notice.”

It’s a whirlwind job that took Perez from being feted at a donor conference at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington Thursday night to playing Solitaire on his iPhone in row 31 on a Delta flight to Detroit shortly after dawn the next morning.

The DNC will embark on a national search to fill key party positions, overseen by the 30-odd members of the transition advisory committee.

The committee is also reviewing the DNC’s contracts with outside vendors and consultants, a source of complaints from many Democrats.

Progressives also criticized the transition committee’s initial makeup, leading the DNC to add several more members from the left’s ranks.

Earlier this month, Perez held a meeting to discuss the issue with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sanders, both of whom supported Rep. Keith Ellison in the DNC chair race.

Schumer, pointing to Ellison and Sanders, told Perez, “If he’s happy, and if he’s happy, then I’m happy,” according to two sources.

Perez has included Ellison in many of the DNC’s public events so far, but the party’s charter makes no provision for a deputy chair, so Ellison does not have vote on the DNC. That could be fixed by naming the Minnesota congressman to one of the 75 slots the chairman gets to appoint to the national committee.

Ellison’s political director has also been helping to oversee staffing decisions in some key departments in the DNC, according to several sources.

My parents, God rest them both, were Southern Democrats.

They became Republican in 1980, when they joined me in voting for Republican Presidential Candidate, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

They would both literally lose their minds if they saw what has happened to their former political party of choice.

Evidently, these same Rocke scientists who believed that the “Queen of Mean”, Hillary Clinton, was going to be a popular Presidential Candidate with average Americans living in the Heartland, now believe that they can win the Presidency in future lections by moving even farther to the left.

They just don’t get it.

Even Crazy Uncle Joe Biden gets it. In an interview conducted shortly after the election,

Remember how refreshing Donald J. Trump’s speech was when he accepted the nomination as the Presidential Candidate of the Republican Party?

What a contrast to what we had heard for 7 and one-half long years from the present occupier of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

No racially-divisive rhetoric, no allusions to the Marxism Axioms revolving around Class Warfare, no self-deification, such as

But, I digress…

Instead, we heard from a man who genuinely LOVED America and her people, instead of viewing us all as racist, misogynist, xenophobes.

And, therein lies the secret of Donald J. Trump’s victory over the Democrats on November 8th.

It was a direct “repudiation” of Obama and his Presidency.

What Trump did, with his refusal earlier in the campaign to “act more presidential”, was to implement a strategy.

Trump has always been a “people person”.

That is the reason that, when he was still a contributor to Fox News, he would speak to everyone in the building, from the maintenance crew, on up the ladder.

As Sam Walton, the Founder of Walmart, knew, you don’t inspire people by acting imperious and above it all.

“Mr. Sam”, until his health would no longer allow him to do so, would travel to Walmart Stores in his old pickup truck, with a tie and a baseball cap on, visiting the employees, in order to find out how his stores were doing.

He knew that the only was to be successful and to stay in touch with the public, was to be out among them, and speak to them honestly and directly, as one would speak to a friend.

The Political Establishment, of both parties, lost that concept, a long time ago.

Bypassing the borders to communication, historically determined by both political parties and the Main Stream Media, is a concept which I first witnessed being employed by a Presidential Candidate in the 1980 Presidential Election, named Ronald Wilson Reagan.

While I am not comparing the two, I am noting that this strategy proved effective, in the case of both Presidential Candidates.

As the polls showed, Trump struck a resonant chord in the hearts of Average Americans, living here in the part of America, which the Modern Democratic Party refer to as “Flyover Country”, but which we refer to as “America’s Heartland”, or, quite simply, “HOME”.

Why did Donald J. Trump become so popular with average Americans?

The reason is very simple: WE WERE ANGRY.

Our palpable anger was one which has been building since January of 2009, when a Lightweight, who has as much in common with average Americans as a Martian would, was inaugurated as President of the United States of America.

That anger, a result of his anti-American actions and resulting policies, which have affected Americans’ daily lives, has been exacerbated by the Republican Elite, who, in their desire to “reach across the aisle” and “go along to get along”, have distanced themselves from those who elected them to Congress in the first place.

Meanwhile, average Americans, like you and me, remained mired up to our necks in an abysmal swamp of bills and taxes, living paycheck-to-paycheck, afraid to make a move, for fearing of drowning in an ocean of debt.

Seemingly forgotten, in all of the forgotten promises, made by Barack Hussein Obama and the Democratic Party, are the over-94 million Americans, who are no longer, largely through no fault of their own, participating in our Workforce.

Anger has played an important part in the forging of this great country.

It was anger that formed our country….an anger over being held captive to “Taxation Without Representation”…an anger which, as a prime example of history repeating itself, Americans expressed on November 8, 2016.

It is this anger, which propelled Donald J. Trump to the Presidency…and those who prefer the Washingtonian Status Quo, on both sides of the Political Aisle,  continue to deny it.

In summation, the Democratic Party and their Presidential Candidate lost the Presidency because the American people were tired of Political Correctness and anti-American political expediencies being forced down our throats by both political parties and trumpeted by their lackeys in the Main Stream Media.

Plus, we did not want to live 4 more of years under ANOTHER MarX/Alinsk-ite, in the person of Hillary Clinton.

In conclusion, the Democratic Party is once again setting themselves up for failure if they rebuild themselves, once again, in to a political party positioned on the Fat Left of the Political Spectrum.

They are not going to gain any ground politically by telling us average Americans that our Traditional Faith and Values are somehow “xenophobic”, “racist” and “anachronistic”.

Judging from the reality of Donald  J. Trump’s victory on November 8th, average Middle Class Americans have had our fill of being marginalized.

And, none of the Democratic Leadership, except for Crazy Uncle Joe Biden, gets it.

Well, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then.
