Justice Jackson Does Not Want the First Amendment “Hamstringing” the Government

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” – The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America

“In a debate Monday at the Supreme Court challenging the Biden administration’s alleged coordination with Big Tech to censor certain messages, one justice raised eyebrows in her comments about the government’s relationship with the First Amendment.

The case stems from a lawsuit brought by Republican-led states Missouri and Louisiana that accused high-ranking government officials of working with giant social media companies “under the guise of combating misinformation” that ultimately led to censoring speech on topics that included Hunter Biden’s laptop, COVID-19 origins and the efficacy of face masks — which the states argued was a First Amendment violation.

In nearly two hours of oral arguments, the justices debated whether the Biden administration crossed the constitutional line, and whether its outreach efforts with private companies amounted to permissible persuasion or encouragement versus illegal coercion or threats of retaliation.

“It’s got these big clubs available to it, and so it’s treating Facebook and these other platforms like their subordinates,” Justice Samuel Alito said. But Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson took a different approach.

“Your view has the First Amendment hamstringing the federal government in significant ways in the most important time periods,” she told the lawyer representing Louisiana, Missouri and private plaintiffs.

“The government actually has a duty to take steps to protect the citizens of this country… by encouraging or even pressuring platforms to take down harmful information,” she said. (Courtesy FoxNews.com)

“Harmful information”?

Are you kidding me?

The government was doing everything they could at the time to coalesce their power and take advantage of the pandemic however they could. The mask mandates, the 6′ spacing in public, the keeping kids out of school, and the lockdowns included, all the medical experts looking back on it have said that those lunatic measures did nothing to keep the pandemic from spreading.

The governors of Blue States overstepped their power, bringing forth Draconian orders designed to abuse the First Amendment rights of their citizens and their personal freedoms. And, when people dared to speak out on social media, especially on Twitter and Facebook, they were shadowbanned all over the place.

As far as Hunter’s laptop is concerned, the social media, which is run by Liberals and the weaponized Department of Justice, Washington was doing everything they could to cover Joe Biden and his family’s treasonous backsides.

Justice Jackson has lost her Far Left mind.

What she is proposing is totalitarian fascism. The Liberal Ideology of the Democrat Party, which has moved further and further into Marxism, is exactly the viewpoint that Justice Brown is expressing.

Democrats, of which Justice Jackson is definitely one, once they get in political power, believe that average Americans work for them and not the other way around. They believe that they know what’s best for Americans.

This is a sentiment that Justice Jackson has echoed in her quote above.

It’s also a sentiment that leaders in Marxist and other totalitarian Nations believe wholeheartedly and exercise to grow their political power.

If we allow our First Amendment right of Free Speech to be abridged by politics in the name of political “concern”, then the federal government will keep things from us “for our own good”, exercising the Mushroom Model of Government Communication by keeping us in the dark and feeding us BS.

Our Founding Fathers made a point of including Free Speech in our Constitution as Fundamental Right because they knew that absolute power corrupts absolutely and without the righ of Free Speech, our other right could easily be taken away from us.

If our first amendment is allowed to be abridged, then American citizens will be punished for talking about Christ on the street corner or writing down their opinions which are contrary to the opinions of those in power, as I am doing now.

It’s happening now in the United Kingdom and in Britain, with a focus on attacking churches in christianity. That could easily happen here.

The First Amendment must not be abridged.

Until He Comes,
