Prelude to War? Russian Military Exercise in Caribbean Followed by Port Call in Havana This Month

“Russian President Vladimir Putin is aiming to “invoke the historical memory of the Cuban Missile Crisis” by moving nuclear capable war ships into the waters of the Caribbean, according to an assessment published Thursday by a U.S. think tank.

Earlier in the week it was revealed that Moscow would be sending several Russian ships and support vessels into the Caribbean for a military exercise. The Admiral Gorshkov frigate, the Kazan nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine, the Academic Pashin replenishment oiler, and the Nikolai Chiker rescue tub are the four vessels scheduled to arrive in Cuba early next week.

The ships are expected to make a port call in Havana between June 12 and 17 before heading south to Venezuela later in the month. The U.S. think tank Institute for the Study of War quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense, which stated the objective of the naval exercise is to ensure a Russian naval presence in “operationally important areas of the far ocean.” (Courtesy Newsmax.com)

For a long while now, Biden has been poking the bear.

Biden has been antagonizing Putin, thinking maybe he could get him to back away from taking the country of Ukraine if he gave the Ukrainians weapons and an obscene amount of money from American taxpayers.

What he does not understand is that the majority of American taxpayers do not approve of him drawing us into another World War.

And, that is exactly what he is doing.

He has consented to Ukraine’s going into Russian territory using the weapons that we gave them for the defense of their country against the Russians.

Putin, of course, sees this as an escalation.

When Biden was first installed as president, Americans who pay attention and are students of history forecasted that our enemies would become more aggressive because Biden is a dementia-riddled feeble old man.

They were right.

We’ve got Hamas infiltrating our colleges, we’ve got Vladimir Putin talking tough, and we’ve got Chinese Nationals coming over by the thousands on our Southern Border illegally and we don’t know who they are or where they are going in our country.

The difference between what we are about to witness this month in regards to the Russians going to Havana and the 1962 Bay of Pigs Invasion is the fact that President John F. Kennedy actually had a. Rain and a backbone, and President Joe Biden only lies when his lips are moving and has two brain cells left and they’re fighting to the death.

Former President Trump is exactly right when he says that America is in a more dangerous situation than we have ever been before.

Joe Biden is not respected by our allies or our enemies. He and the Democrat Elite have intentionally weakened our Armed Forces through diversity, inclusion, and cutting budgets.

I believe that the main reason that we are seeing all of this aggression from our enemies is the fact that when Donald Trump was president, our enemies knew that when he said something he meant it.

To put it bluntly, our enemies know that Joe Biden is not a man of his word.

And, as past history shows, he, his son, and his brother can be bought.

Obama Embraces Another Enemy of America: Cuba

Obama-Shrinks-2The President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, is now walking arm in arm with a “fellow traveler”: Raul Castro.

The Daily Mail reports that

President Barack Obama declared the end of America’s ‘outdated approach’ to Cuba Wednesday, announcing the re-establishment of diplomatic relations as well as economic and travel ties with the communist island – a historic shift in U.S. policy that aims to bring an end to a half-century of Cold War enmity.

‘Isolation has not worked,’ Obama said in remarks from the White House. ‘It’s time for a new approach.’

‘We will begin to normalize relations’ between the U.S. and Cuba, he added.

‘We will end an outdated approach that, for decades, has failed to advance our interests.’

As Obama spoke, Cuban President Raul Castro was addressing his own nation from Havana. Obama and Castro spoke by phone for more than 45 minutes Tuesday, the first substantive presidential-level discussion between the U.S. and Cuba since 1961.

Wednesday’s announcement followed more than a year of secret talks between the U.S. and Cuba. The re-establishment of diplomatic ties was accompanied by Cuba’s release of American Alan Gross and the swap of a U.S. spy held in Cuba for three Cubans jailed in Florida.

Gross, 65, arrived back in the U.S. shortly before Obama addressed the nation. Gross was released after more than five years in prison. He was accompanied by his wife, Judy, along with several U.S. lawmakers.

As part of resuming diplomatic relations with Cuba, the U.S. will soon reopen an embassy in the capital of Havana and carry out high-level exchanges and visits between the governments. The U.S. is also easing travel bans to Cuba, including for family visits, official U.S. government business and educational activities. Tourist travel remains banned

The release of Alan Gross, the American contractor imprisoned in Cuba for more than five years, “set a price on the head of every American abroad,” Sen.Marco Rubio, R-Florida, said in an interview today.

“I would love for there to be normal relations with Cuba, but for that to happen, Cuba has to be normal, and it’s not. It is a brutal dictatorship,” Rubio, who is a Cuban-American, told ABC News’ Jeff Zeleny. “Now dictatorships know that if they take an American, they may be able to get unilateral policy concessions.”

According to Rubio, the Obama administration’s intention to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba is “terrible for the Cuban people.”

The Cuban government won’t allow free elections, political parties, or freedom of the press “just because people can buy Coca Cola,” said the Florida Republican, who is often mentioned as a potential 2016 presidential candidate. He added, “Five years from now, Cuba will still be a dictatorship — but a much more profitable one.”

“I think this has now made it even harder to achieve the sort of democracy in Cuba that you find virtually everywhere else in this hemisphere,” Rubio said.

Rubio called President Obama the “worst negotiator” of “my lifetime.”

“He’ll give up everything in exchange for nothing,” Rubio said. “What have the Cubans agreed to do?”

“The United States today, under this president, has opened up relationships with the most brutal dictatorship this hemisphere has known for the better part of 50 years. And all it’s done is it’s sent a signal to others fighting for democracy in the region and around the world that the US is not a reliable partner when it comes to fighting for democracy,” he said.

Senator Rubio hit it right on the head.

As with all of his Foreign Affairs dealings, such as those with our mortal enemy Iran and the rest of the Radical Muslims in the Middle East, Obama once again yesterday, displayed a dangerous naivete in regards to the way that the world actually works.

Obama has just spat in the face of every Cuban-American, who, at the risk of their very lives, fled the tyranny of Fidel Castro’s Cuba, to reach our American shores, and freedom.

As I was sitting down to write this blog, my mind flashed to the classic movie, “The Godfather Part II”, where Michael Corleone takes over for his father and tries to get something started for his family down in Cuba.

Unfortunately for Michael, it was right before the Cuban Revolution, when the Communists took over the island, spoiling the Mafia’s plan of turning it into another Las Vegas.

In fact, one memorable scene in that movie, occurs the night of the Revolution, when the president of Cuba and his family beat a hasty retreat, leaving their party guests, there to celebrate the New Year, on their own.

During the madness of the revolution, with the Revolutionaries knocking on the palace door, Michael grabs his brother , Fredo, and kisses him full on the mouth, telling him,

I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart.

Later, in the movie, Michael has his own brother, Fredo, killed for betraying their family.

Of course, I am NOT in any way suggesting any sort of violence toward President Obama, but, with every new slap against our country and her citizens, by this Petulant President, Impeachment, to me now, sounds like a pretty good idea after all.

Putin Docks Russian Warship in Havana

atomic blastI remember the classic ABC Production  titled “The Missiles of October”, starring the great William Devane as President John F. Kennedy and a young Martin Sheen as his brother, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.

It involved a time in our nation’s history, when we were threatened by Russian Aggressors, who had parked missiles in Cuba, a scant 90 miles away from Florida’s coast.

That time has come again.

Yahoo News reports that

A Russian warship was docked in Havana Wednesday, without explanation from Communist Cuba or its state media.

The Viktor Leonov CCB-175 boat, measuring 91.5 meters (300 feet) long and 14.5 meters wide, was docked at the port of Havana’s cruise ship area, near the Russian Orthodox Cathedral.

The Vishnya, or Meridian-class intelligence ship, which has a crew of around 200, went into service in the Black Sea in 1988 before it was transferred seven years later to the northern fleet, Russian media sources said.

Neither Cuban authorities nor state media have mentioned the ship’s visit, unlike on previous tours by Russian warships.

The former Soviet Union was Cuba’s sponsor state through three decades of Cold War. After a period of some distancing under former Russian president Boris Yeltsin, the countries renewed their political, economic and military cooperation.

The ship is reportedly armed with 30mm guns and anti-aircraft missiles.

Its visit comes as isolated Havana’s current economic and political patron, Venezuela, is facing unprecedented violent protests against President Nicolas Maduro’s government.

Cuban President Raul Castro’s Communist government is the Americas’ only one-party regime.

Back in 1962, there was a major cold war confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union, which we know today as the Cuban Missile Crisis.

As a response to the Bay of Pigs Invasion and other American actions against Cuba, as well as to President Kennedy’s build-up in Italy and Turkey of U.S. strategic nuclear forces with first-strike capability aimed at the Soviet Union, the USSR decided to dangerously increase its support of Fidel Castro’s Cuban regime.

In the summer of 1962, Nikita Khrushchev secretly made plans to install nuclear-armed ballistic missiles in Cuba. When U.S. reconnaissance flights revealed the clandestine construction of missile launching sites, President Kennedy publicly denounced (Oct. 22, 1962) the Soviet actions. He put in place a naval blockade on Cuba, declaring that any missile launched from Cuba would warrant a full-scale retaliatory attack by the United States against the Soviet Union.

On Oct. 24, Russian ships carrying missiles to Cuba turned back, and when Khrushchev agreed (Oct. 28) to withdraw the missiles and dismantle the missile sites, the crisis ended as suddenly as it had begun.

The United States ended its blockade on Nov. 20, and by the end of the year the missiles and bombers were removed from Cuba. The United States, in return, pledged not to invade Cuba, and subsequently, in fulfillment of a secret agreement with Khrushchev, removed the ballistic missiles placed in Turkey.

Back then, America was the “Big Dog” in the World Kennel. Khrushchev was a bellicose old Russian Bear, who decided to see what “Young Lion”, United States President John F. Kennedy, was made of.

Even with an actual AMERICAN President in place, we escaped a nuclear attack by the skin of our teeth.

Now, almost 52 years later, we may not be so lucky.

Boys and girls, we are facing the terrible reality that we are no longer the “Alpha Male” of the World’s Nations.

Thanks to the Wuss in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama, Vladimir Putin, on behalf of Mother Russia is systematically going about the process of reclaiming territory, which he believes belongs to his country. 

Putin, an ex-KGB autocrat, has the unenviable task of being the leader of a country with a dwindling population and an economy which is entirely dependent on the price of oil.

The fact that Putin is now, in the eyes of many, the world’s most powerful head of state, is a result of the world leadership void resulting from the Chamberlain-esque enemy-appeasing Barack Hussein Obama, who is unfortunately, sitting in the Oval Office of the President of the United States.

Obama’s deliberate backing off from world conflicts and visible weakness in dealing with “Foreign Aggressors” has emboldened Putin to believe that he can do whatever he darn well wants too, because Barack Hussein Obama does not have the testicular fortitude to stand up to him. (Yeah, I said it.)

During Ronald Reagan’s famous “Evil Empire” Speech, which he gave on March 8, 1983, he said,

Whittaker Chambers, the man whose own religious conversion made him a witness to one of the terrible traumas of our time, the Hiss-Chambers case, wrote that the crisis of the Western world exists to the degree in which the West is indifferent to God, the degree to which it collaborates in communism’s attempt to make man stand alone without God. And then he said, for Marxism-Leninism is actually the second-oldest faith, first proclaimed in the Garden of Eden with the words of temptation, “Ye shall be as gods.”

The Western world can answer this challenge, he wrote, “but only provided that its faith in God and the freedom He enjoins is as great as communism’s faith in Man.”

In light of that prescient statement and upon reflecting on the Administration-sponsored Societal Darkness which is now rapidly enveloping our country, and the dhimmi/Alinsky-ite/Marxist we have as our “Dear Leader”, …we’re screwed.
