Ft. Hood Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, 16 Wounded. Obama Speaks at Fundraisers.

Obama-Shrinks-2Ft. Hood was the scene of violence yet again yesterday, as 4 of our Brightest and Best were murdered in cold blood and 16 more lay injured.

So, what did their Commander-in-Chief do about it? Don’t worry. He’s going to get to the bottom of this tragedy…just as soon as he finishing working a couple of Democrat Fundraisers.

After all, a man must have his priorities.

Truthrevolt.org reports that

On Wednesday evening, President Obama was being kept up to date on the developments from the mass shooting at Fort Hood while reportedly attending fundraisers for the 2014 election cycle. According to White House spokesman Josh Earnest, Obama is in the loop while at the fundraisers.

Obama will be in Chicago for four and a half hours, and the events have largely been closed to the media, with radio and TV reporters banned from attendance. Only one print reporter will be allowed to provide press pool notes.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Obama was originally slated to attend a private dinner for three between the two fundraisers, with Obama’s water and food carted in exclusively for him. The other two members of the dinner soiree will be Mayor Rahm Emanuel and former Obama top advisor David Axelrod. The first event took place at 4:45 PM CT, with tickets running $32,400 per person. Obama is slated to attend another Democratic National Committee fundraiser tonight, with 55 members of the audience all shelling out $10,000 per plate.

UPDATE: According to the Associated Press’ Nedra Pickler:

Twitter, 7:03 p.m. Eastern – Obama spoke from Chicago Cut steakhouse, in same room where he just met w/ about 25 DNC donors who paid up to $32,400.

Twitter, 7:04 p.m. Eastern – Now in Obama motorcade heading to 2nd DNC fundraiser in Lincoln Park home w/ about 55 donors who paid up to $10K.

Obama’s statement, given at 7:15 PM CT, was this:

I just got off the phone with the vice chairman of the joint chiefs of staff to get the latest on the shooting at Fort Hood. Obviously, we’re all following it closely. The situation is fluid right now, but my national security team is in close contact not just with the Defense Department but with the FBI. They are working with folks on the ground to determine exactly what happened and ensure that everyone is secure.

I want to assure all of us we are going to get to the bottom of what happened. Any shooting is troubling. Obviously this reopened pain of what happened at Fort Hood 5 years ago. We know these families, we know the service to their country and the sacrifices that they make. Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with the entire community and we are going to do everything we can to make sure the community of Fort Hood has what it needs to deal with a tough situation but also any potential aftermath.

We’re heartbroken that something like this might have happened again. I don’t what to comment on facts until we know exactly what happened. But just for now I would hope that everyone across the country keep the families of Fort Hood in our thoughts and our prayers. The folks there have sacrificed so much on behalf of our freedom. Many of the people there have been on multiple tours of Iraq and Afghanistan, they served with valor, they served with distinction. At their home base they need to feel safe. We don’t yet know what happened tonight but obviously that sense of safety has been broken once again. We need to find out exactly what happened.

The Commander-in-Chief then continued on to his $550,000 fundraiser.

UPDATE II: By way of contrast, President Obama immediately canceled an upcoming visit to Maine to speak at the University of Southern Maine the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre in December 2012.

COMPARE AND CONTRAST.

On February 20th, military.com posted the following article:

Former President George W. Bush hosted a Military Service Initiative Summit on Wednesday, and spoke about the many problems facing post-9/11 veterans and how his institute hopes to address them.

“A lot of people ask me, you know, do I miss much about being president. The answer really [is] no, [but] I do miss saluting men and women who volunteer to defend our nation during war. Many are coming home and are preparing for new missions as civilians. And I intend to salute these men and women for the rest of my life … And through the Military Service Initiative, the [George W.] Bush Institute is going to help [them],” Bush said at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

“Since 9/11, more than 2.5 million Americans have worn the uniform … They are the 1 percent of America who kept the 99 percent safe. And we owe them and their families a deep debt of gratitude. Our country can never really fully repay our vets, but we ought to try.”

Bush said his institute’s plans have been shaped by a joint study that the organization conducted with the Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families, which he described as “one of the most comprehensive studies ever conducted of post-9/11 veterans.”

…Bush said the Military Service Initiative will focus on the following broad tasks to make it easier for former servicemembers to transition to civilian life:

— Help Americans understand what they can do as individuals to support veterans and empower them to succeed. “The [civilian-military] divide is exacerbated by public perceptions that the veteran is either a hero or to be pitied. Most veterans … don’t want lavish celebrations or expressions of condolences. And while it never hurts to say thank you, that’s not really the point,” Bush said. “What most veterans want is to have their service understood and appreciated for what it is … and now they want to experience the American dream.”

— Help veterans translate their military skills to work in rewarding civilian jobs.

“From our research, we know one problem is that veterans and employers both have a hard time translating military experience [into obvious qualifications for civilian jobs]. That’s not surprising,” Bush said. “I mean, you don’t see many job postings that say, ‘Wanted: experience in hunting insurgents and terrorists, willing to risk life for co-workers.’ [But] when a resume says United States military, that means you can count on the applicant to be loyal, [they’ve] got good leadership, teamwork skills, and discipline. To an employer, that should mean a lot.”

— Work with leaders at higher education institutions to promote innovate programs to improve the recruitment, retention and graduation rates of veterans at colleges and universities.

“Some veterans are ready to enter the workforce immediate, [but] others need to update their skills. [That’s] especially true for younger veterans who entered the military right after high school or a short stint in college,” Bush said. “At the Bush Center we believe it’s never too late to learn a new skill. [But] unlike many Americans struggling to make it through college, the [high dropout rate] problem here is not money, the problem is fitting in … Many [veterans] report feeling isolated from their classmates and/or their professors.”

— Help businesses understand how they can improve their companies by hiring veterans, and enable employers to better tailor their recruitment and hiring efforts. “We’re going to send a broader message: Hiring veterans is not only the right thing to do, it is a smart thing to do,” the former president said.

“PTS is treatable,” Bush said. Military and medical communities have made great strides in developing effective ways to reduce and overcome PTS. Like depression, PTS can be controlled through medication and therapy and other treatment. But like most serious injuries, it rarely goes away on its own. Those affected must get help … We are going to use our platform to make clear that veterans receiving treatment for post-traumatic stress are not ‘damaged goods’ [and] they are not mentally shattered. They are people who got hurt defending our country and are now overcoming wounds. Employers would not hesitate to hire an employee getting treated for a medical condition like diabetes or high blood pressure, and they should not hesitate to hire veterans getting treated for post-traumatic stress.”

Boys and girls, the preceding is an illustration as to the difference between talking the talk…and walking the walk.

Obama views our Brightest and Best as guinea pigs to be used in social experiments…as an ancillary arm of the government, whose job whose job is to be seen and not heard, cannon fodder, whose budget, like the military itself, is subject to being reduced.

For all his faults, I miss Dubya.

At least, he was an American President.

Until He Comes,

FBI Searching for American Muslim Army Recruit Planning “Ft. Hood Style Jihad”

fort hoodAn adherent of  ‘the religion of peace” wants to kill some of our Brightest and Best.

Foxnews.com reports, in an exclusive, that

The FBI is searching for a recent Army recruit believed to be planning a “Fort Hood-inspired jihad against U.S. soldiers,” FoxNews.com has learned.

The alert, whose legitimacy was confirmed by military and law enforcement officials, stated that a man identified as Booker had told friends of his “intention to commit jihad.” Booker, who is also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, was recruited by the U.S. Army in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2014 and was scheduled to report for basic training on April 7. But he was discharged last week, apparently after law enforcement authorities learned of his alleged plan.

Both the FBI and the 902d Military Intelligence Group at Fort Leavenworth are involved in the hunt.

The alert, a copy of which was obtained by FoxNews.com, was sent out by the FBI’s Kansas City Division on Friday and distributed through the U.S. Marine Corps. The portion obtained by FoxNews.com did not include Hassan’s photo or age. It was also sent to the Kansas City Police Department, which could indicate authorities believe he may have remained in the area where he was recruited.

The alert is titled, “Planned Fort Hood-inspired Jihad against US Soldiers by Army Recruit” and was issued “to inform and protect officers who may encounter this individual or others exhibiting the same aspirations.” The source of the information contained in the alert was listed as “An FBI agent.”

According to the alert:

“On 20 March 2014, the Kansas City Division FBI became aware of an individual named BOOKER aka Muhammad Abdullah Hassan who had publicly stated his intention to commit jihad, bidding farewell to his friends and making comments indicating his jihad was imminent. BOOKER had been recruited by the US Army in Kansas City, Mo., in February 2014 and was scheduled to report for Basic Training on 7 April 2014. Kansas City Division Agents interviewed BOOKER on 20 March 2014.”

Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Ty Balzer confirmed the alert’s legitimacy, but referred questions to the FBI. A spokeswoman with the Kansas City Division of the FBI — the same division responsible for sending out the alert and who, according to the alert, spoke with Booker on March 20 — said she did “not have any information to provide in regards to your inquiry.”

Law enforcement sources familiar with the alert said it appeared to suggest that there may be others in addition to Booker who also might have expressed similar intentions to commit jihad against U.S. military installations.

A military source said it appeared the bulletin was provided by the FBI, then distributed by the Marine Corps under the normal protocol of sharing any information relating to a potential threat to U.S. military installations or personnel.

A spokesman for the Kansas City recruiting station where Booker enlisted referred FoxNews.com’s questions to 902d Military Intelligence Group, which did not immediately return requests for comment.

So, we are looking at another incident of Muslim Terrorism against our military which Obama and his minions will label “workplace violence”.

I believe that the politically-correct, stupid insensitivity of the Defense Department’s description of the Ft. Hood Massacre can be traced all the way back to President Barack Hussein Obama’s remarks that fateful day, November 5, 2009, in front of a crowd at the Tribal Nations Conference, hosted by the Department of the Interior:

“I planned to make some broader remarks,” he told the crowd. “But as some of you might have heard there has been a tragic shooting at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas.”

The president’s words on the deadly rampage came two minutes after he gave a “shout out” to an audience member and stressed the need to pass health care reform.

“I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It’s good to see you,” he said.

On Friday, Obama opened his remarks at a brief press conference in the White House Rose Garden in which he warned the American public against “jumping to conclusions” over the motives of the shooter.

“This morning I met with FBI Director Mueller and the relevant agencies to discuss their ongoing investigation into what caused one individual to turn his gun on fellow servicemen and women,” he said. “We don’t know all of the answers yet, and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all of the facts.”

The Executive Summary of the Senate Report on the Ft. Hood Shootings  breaks the massacre down for those who are too politically correct to speak the truth and shame the Devil:

Although neither DoD nor the FBI had specific information concerning the time, place, or nature of the attack, they collectively had sufficient information to have detected Hasan’s radicalization to violent Islamist extremism but failed both to understand and to act on it.

Our investigation found specific and systemic failures in the government’s handling of the Hasan case and raises additional concerns about what may be broader systemic issues.

Both the FB I and DoD possessed information indicating Hasan’s radicalization to violent Islamist extremism. And, to the FB I’s credit, it flagged Hasan from among the chaff of 7 intelligence collection for additional scrutiny. However, the FBI and DoD together failed to recognize and to link the information that they possessed about Hasan:

1. Hasan was a military officer who lived under a regimented system with strict officership and security standards, standards which his behavior during his military medical training violated;

2. The government had [REDACTED] communications from Hasan to a suspected terrorist, [REDACTED], who was involved in anti-American activities and the subject of an unrelated FBI terrorism investigation. This individual will be referred to as the “Suspected Terrorist” in this report. Although both the public and the private signs of Hasan’s radicalization to violent Islamist extremism while on active duty were known to government official s, a string of failures prevented these officials from intervening against him prior to the attack.

Evidence of Hasan’s radicalization to violent Islamist extremism was on full display to his superiors and colleagues during his military medical training.

An instructor and a colleague each referred to Hasan as a “ticking time bomb.” Not only was no action taken to discipline or discharge him, but also his Officer Evaluation Reports sanitized his obsession with violent Islamist extremism into praiseworthy research on counterterrorism.

While I realize that this is a potential domestic terrorist incident in the making, the very fact that Nidal Hasan and this home-grown Muslim Barbarian got into our Armed Forces at all, is a direct result of the naivete and attitude of arrogance involved in the Administration’s Smart Power! Foreign Policy dealings with our sworn enemies, the Radical Muslims.

The fact is, Barack Hussein Obama is a pussy-footing dhimmi, who believes in negotiating from a position of weakness and “reaching out”, to the adherents of a political ideology masquerading as a religion, who would sooner behead us “infidels” than allow us to continue breathing.

Additionally, the Obama Administration’s use of our Armed Forces as guinea pigs for social experimentation is potentially endangering the lives of our Brightest and Best.

And, that is unforgivable.

Until He Comes,

KJ

Obama is suing OUR Armed Forces

The President of the United States is also the Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces.  It is a position that automatically calls for our Brightest and Best to give the person holding the office the respect that the position is due.

Most of the time, the CIC shows his respect for those who fight and die for our country. In fact, at least one CIC went above and beyond the call of duty.

On November 7, 2009. militarygear.com reported the following:

Former President George W. Bush secretly visited Ft. Hood last night to meet with the victims of the troops affected by the recent massacre at the hands of a Muslim extremist within our ranks.

This is typical for President Bush who worked hard during his presidency not to use the military for political gain, especially when it came to wounded troops and their families. He made many unannounced and unpublicized visited to military bases in and out of the country. He invited military bloggers, myself included, to meet with him one on one without fanfare or media. That’s the way he was and I’m glad to see that he has continued this respect and admiration for our military.

This is from Fox News:

The Bushes entered and departed the sprawling military facility in secret, having told the base commander they did not want press coverage of their visit, a source told Fox News.

The couple was described as “deeply concerned” about military families on Fort Hood after Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly opened fire on soldiers and civilians, killing 13 and wounding 38.

The Bushes, who have a 1,600-acre property known as Prairie Chapel Ranch less than 30 miles from Fort Hood in central Texas, spent between one and two hours visiting the wounded and their families.

The day that the Islamic Terrorist, Major Hassan killed and wounded those members of our Best and Brightest, Obama was less than  what you would expect the CIC to be at the post-Tragedy Press Conference.

NBCChicago.com reported:

At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a “shout-out” to “Dr. Joe Medicine Crow — that Congressional Medal of Honor winner.” Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Who , indeed. That was a glimpse into this CIC’s disdain for our Brightest and best.

Obama was just getting started.

On July 22, 2011, the New York Times told us that

President Obama formally certified on Friday that the American military is ready for the repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy as Pentagon officials said that nearly two million service members had been trained in preparation for gay men and women serving openly in their ranks.

“As of Sept. 20, service members will no longer be forced to hide who they are in order to serve our country,” Mr. Obama said in a statement. He signed the certification, along with Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta and Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, about 3:30 p.m. in the Oval Office.

And now, President Obama apparently is deathly afraid that his chickens are coming home to roost on November 6th, 2012, as our Military cast their ballots in our National Election.

Foxnews.com has the story:

The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee have filed a lawsuit to block a new state law allowing men and women in uniform to vote up until the Monday right before an election, while the cutoff on early voting for the rest of the public is three days earlier.

Top Obama campaign officials told Fox News in interviews that the lawsuit in no way tries to restrict the voting rights of military members. All they are trying to do is even the playing field for all voters in Ohio by allowing early voting up until Monday for everyone, including members of the military, because they believe a two-tiered, early-voting process is unfair.

“Along with the DNC and Ohio Democratic Party, this campaign filed a lawsuit to reinstate equal, early-voting rights for all Ohioans — rights the Republican-controlled legislature arbitrarily stripped away this past year,” Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager, told supporters in an email.

However, the National Guard Association and other military groups have fired back, saying it’s “offensive” for Democrats to suggest in the lawsuit it’s arbitrary for service members to get special consideration.

Men and women in uniform typically get more time than other voters to send in absentee ballots since they may be serving in an overseas or domestic location that is not close to their home polling station.

“I’m just outraged by this,” Mike DeWine, the Republican state attorney general in Ohio, told Fox News. “I can’t believe the Obama campaign and the state Democratic Party are actually saying there’s no rational basis for a distinction between someone who is in the military voting and someone who is not in the military.”

The stakes in this legal battle are huge because Obama is anxious to keep Ohio’s 18 electoral votes in the Democratic column this November. He has already visited the state nine times this year alone.

Since no Republican has won the White House without carrying the Buckeye State, GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is fighting just as hard and on Friday lashed out at the Democrats’ lawsuit.

“President Obama’s lawsuit claiming it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow servicemen and women extended early voting privileges during the state’s early voting period is an outrage,” he said Saturday. “I stand with the 15 military groups that are defending the rights of military voters, and if I’m entrusted to be the commander-in-chief, I’ll work to protect the voting rights of our military, not undermine them.”

The Obama campaign responded Saturday by saying, “Mitt Romney and his campaign have completely fabricated a claim that the Obama campaign is trying to restrict military voting in Ohio. In fact, the opposite is true. The Obama campaign filed a lawsuit to make sure every Ohioan, including military members and their families, has early voting rights over the last weekend prior to the election.”

Mr. President, these are the brave men and women who sacrifice life and limb in defense of our country, and YOU’RE SUING THEM?

I’ve been right all along. You truly are our country’s first ANTI-AMERICAN PRESIDENT!

Shameful.
