O’Reilly Interviews Obama: Pomposity, Petulance, and Prevarication

obamababyBefore the Super Bowl, President Barack Hussein Obama sat down for an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. Hilarity Prevarication and denial of responsibility ensued.

Fox News summarizes the interview:

President Obama, in an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, tried to put behind him the scandals that have hung over his second term, suggesting his administration did not mislead the public on the Benghazi attack and going so far as to say the IRS targeting scandal had “not even a smidgen of corruption.”

Obama addressed concerns over Benghazi, the launch of HealthCare.gov and the IRS, during the interview Sunday before the Super Bowl. He adamantly rejected the suggestion that the IRS was used for political purposes by singling out Tea Party groups seeking tax exemption.

“That’s not what happened,” he said. Rather, he said, IRS officials were confused about how to implement the law governing those kinds of tax-exempt groups.

“There were some bone-headed decisions,” Obama conceded.

But when asked whether corruption, or mass corruption, was at play, he responded: “Not even mass corruption — not even a smidgen of corruption.”

He acknowledged that then-IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman had been to the White House more than 100 times but said he couldn’t recall speaking to him on any of those occasions.

Obama also downplayed the controversy over how the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attacks were described by the administration.

He said he considers any such strike an act of terror and that he was told by then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta at the time only that it was an “attack” — and that the more important issue is whether security lapses have now been fixed.

“All of the security precautions that needed to be taken didn’t happen,” the president said. “The key is that we’ve implemented the reforms that have been recommended.”

He also said his administration didn’t try to “hide the ball” regarding the attacks, in which four Americans were killed including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

“We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time,” the president said.

Obama also claimed that the attackers were made up of a mix of people, some affiliated with terror organizations and others who were just “troublemakers.” A recent report from the Senate Intelligence Committee, though, definitively declared that individuals tied to Al Qaeda groups were involved.

On the rocky launch of the health care exchange system, Obama said he anticipated problems with the rollout of ObamaCare in October, particularly with the HealthCare.gov website because computer programs have glitches.

“But neither I nor anybody else anticipated the degree of problems with HealthCare.gov,” he said.

The president argued that total enrollment is now just about a month behind schedule and that young people, key to making ObamaCare work, are enrolling at a good rate.

He would not answer when asked repeatedly why he kept Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on the job.

“I try to focus not on the fumbles but on the next play,” he said

Is it just me, or does Obama sound like the bad guy, at the end of a Scooby Doo Cartoon?

And, I would have gotten by with it, too. if it wasn’t for that meddlesome Fox News!

After watching Obama do his Lt. Frank Drebin (The Naked Gun) impersonation,

Nothing to see here. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I did some research, and came up with the following list of Obama Scandals:

  1. The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election.
  2. Benghazi: There are still 4 brave Americans, who are unavailable for comment. (And, their Commander in Chief chuckled inappropriately, when O’Reilly asked him about it.)
  3. The ATF “Fast and Furious” scheme: Federal agencies allowed weapons from U.S. gun dealers to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers, leading to the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
  4. Holder told Congress in May 2011 that he had just recently heard about the Fast and Furious gun walking scheme.
  5. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for Obamacare.
  6. Spying on The Associated Press: The Justice Department reviewed Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.
  7. Rosengate: The Justice Department treated Fox news Reporter as a criminal and monitored his phones and emails.
  8. Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when in fact he signed the affidavit that termed Rosen a potential criminal.
  9. The Pigford scandal: An Agriculture Department effort that started as an attempt to compensate black farmers who had been discriminated against by the agency but evolved into a gravy train.
  10. The General Services Administration in 2010 held an $823,000 training conference in Las Vegas, featuring a clown and a mind readers.
  11. Veterans Affairs in Disney World: The agency wasted more than $6 million on two conferences in Orlando.
  12. Sebelius violates the Hatch Act: A U.S. special counsel determined that Sebelius violated the Hatch Act when she made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” during a speech in her official capacity last year.
  13. Obama may have violated the Constitution and both the letter and the spirit of the War Powers Resolution by attacking Libya without Congressional approval.
  14. Vice President Biden’s office has repeatedly interfered with coverage of the Administration, including forcing a reporter to wait in a closet, making a reporter delete photos, and editing pool reports.
  15. The Administration paid millions to the former firm of then-White House adviser David Axelrod, AKPD Message and Media, to promote passage of Obamacare.
  16. Solyndra: Republicans charged the Obama Administration funded and promoted its poster boy for green energy despite warning signs the company was headed for bankruptcy.
  17. Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used the name “Richard Windsor” when corresponding by email with other government officials.
  18. The New Black Panthers: The SOJ was accused of using a racial double standard in failing to pursue a voter intimidation case against Black Panthers who appeared to be menacing voters at a polling place in 2008 in Philadelphia.
  19. Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used Bill Clinton as an intermediary to probe whether former Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) would accept a prominent, unpaid White House advisory position in exchange for dropping out of the 2010 primary against former Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.).
  20. Obama has repeatedly been accused of making end runs around Congress by deciding which laws to enforce, including the decision not to deport illegal immigrants who may have been allowed to stay in the United States had Congress passed the “Dream Act.”
  21. Obama blocked veterans from visiting National Monuments by barricading them, to make Americans suffer, during to a Government Shutdown of the Budget.

So, Mr. President, did Fox News make up all of these scandals, as well?

Shortly after Obama was inaugurated, the following appeared on the official website, whitehouse.gov:

Transparency and Open Government

Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies

SUBJECT: Transparency and Open Government

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.

Joe Wilson was right.

He lied.

The Shutdown: Does Obama View Himself as the “Real Victim”?

Obama-Shrinks-2Boys and girls, as the Government Shutdown wanes on, the inner workings of the Obama Administration more clearly resemble a Mack Sennett Comedy Pie Fight Scene, with every new crisis they have to deal with.

First, “Jaybird” Carney said that there was no reason for the President to sign the bill passed by the House and Senate which would restore Military Death Benefits.

Then, Obama signed it, as Fox News reports…

President Obama signed a bill late Thursday to pay death benefits to families of fallen soldiers during the partial government shutdown.

The move came after the White House drew heavy criticism from Republicans over White House press secretary Jay Carney’s comment earlier in the day that it was “not necessary” to sign the bill since a charity already had stepped in to foot the expenses.

The Senate approved the bill Thursday afternoon, after it cleared the House a day earlier. The bill reinstated the $100,000 “death gratuity” payments to military families and resumed funeral and burial expenses.

The funding had been suspended as a consequence of the partial government shutdown.

Carney claimed the bill was “not necessary,” noting that charity group The Fisher House Foundation had just entered into an agreement with the Pentagon a day earlier to provide the benefits in the short-term.

“The legislation is not necessary,” Carney said, adding that the Defense Department had already agreed to reimburse the Fisher House.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who pushed the bill in the Senate, blasted the White House over Carney’s remark.

“Now, we’re learning the president has taken his political obstinacy to a new low and believes the legislation Congress has passed to right this wrong is ‘not necessary,'” he said in a written statement. “Not only is this legislation necessary it’s the moral obligation of this nation and it’s the spoken will of Congress that we deliver immediate assistance to the families of fallen service members.

“I call on the president to sign this necessary legislation without delay. Anything less would represent dereliction of duty by our commander in chief,” he said.

By voice vote Thursday, the Senate approved the measure that would reinstate benefits for surviving family members, including funeral and burial expenses, and death gratuity payments. The Pentagon typically pays out $100,000 within three days of a service member’s death.

Twenty-nine members of the military have died on active duty since the government shutdown began last Tuesday.

The Pentagon infuriated congressional Republicans and Democrats and touched off a national firestorm when it claimed earlier that a law allowing the military to be paid during the partial government shutdown did not cover the death benefit payments. Congress passed and Obama signed that measure into law before the partial government shutdown last Tuesday, and lawmakers insist that the benefits shouldn’t have been affected.

Despite the Senate vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., sided with the White House. He said the voice vote was “for show” and the Pentagon had essentially resolved the problem. He said the issue was moot, but he didn’t object to passage of the bill.

Uh huh. Tell us another one, Dinghy.

As I have observed in previous blogs this week, Obama has not acted like an American President at all, in dealing with this Government Shutdown. His behavior has more closely resembled a petulant child.

Dr. Keith Ablow, seen on Fox News, has a theory about Obama’s “issues”…

President Obama’s rhetoric is finally coming closer to what appears to be his psychological truth: Because America victimized him and countless millions of others, any person or party or movement that opposes his views and does not yield to him is not just his adversary, but abusive, predatory and even threatening.

…It is exceedingly difficult to come to terms with a person who sees you as his oppressor, his kidnapper, and someone terrorizing him who might well destroy him. You aren’t likely to consider whether your assailant and jailer and would-be killer has a few good ideas, after all.

A victim mentality would explain why the president immediately allies with anyone else he thinks might be a victim, too.

Seeing Barack Obama as someone who has a victim mentality would explain a lot. That mentality relies on believing one has been harmed, that one was not responsible for the injuries that occurred, that one could not have prevented what happened and that the person’s suffering makes that person morally right and deserving of sympathy.

As a young boy, Obama was, indeed, helpless.

He was helpless to stop his father from abandoning him.

He was helpless to stop his mother from leaving him with his grandparents.

He was helpless to stop his white grandmother and caretaker from communicating to him her fears of black people.

I’m not sure the president ever got over it.

Dr. Ablow’s theory definitely seems to have a basis in fact.

That chip that Obama continuously carries on his shoulder would certainly go along with the diagnosis of “victim Mentality”.

If Obama views the world as being “out to get him”, the defensive, non-negotiable stance he has taken since the Shutdown started, would definitely make sense, psychologically.

The problem is, American does not need a thumb-sucking , Little Lord Fauntleroy, siting at the President’s Desk in the Oval Office. We need a leader of men. One who is willing to protect the citizenry from “enemies foreign and domestic”.

And, in the situation we’re in right now, we do not need a President who views the citizens he is supposed to be serving, as brutish, victimizing louts, who deserved to be punished, because it makes him feel better about himself and his lack of leadership skills.

We need a President who is not only a people person, but also a shrewd negotiator, with Real World experience in business negotiations.

Unfortunately, we have Obama, instead.

The Syria Situation: The President Who Couldn’t (and, Wouldn’t) Shoot Straight

obamabowYesterday afternoon, a high-ranking Administration official spoke to the American people, in a quest to win support for attacking Syria and interfering in a Civil War.

And, it was not President Barack Hussein Obama, it was John (I served in Vietnam) Kerry, the Secretary of State.

Lurch (Secretary of State John Kerry) presented the Administration’s case for attacking Syria, in a prosecutorial fashion, laying out meticulously prepared points, one after another…

…in order to protect sources and methods, some of what we know will only be released to members of Congress, the representatives of the American people.

That means that some things we do know, we can’t talk about publicly.

So, what do we really know that we can talk about? Well, we know that the Assad regime has the largest chemical weapons program in the entire Middle East. We know that the regime has used those weapons multiple times this year, and has used them on a smaller scale but still it has used them against its own people, including not very far from where last Wednesday’s attack happened.

We know that the regime was specifically determined to rid the Damascus suburbs of the opposition, and it was frustrated that it hadn’t succeeded in doing so. We know that for three days before the attack the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons personnel were on the ground, in the area, making preparations. And we know that the Syrian regime elements were told to prepare for the attack by putting on gas masks and taking precautions associated with chemical weapons. We know that these were specific instructions.

We know where the rockets were launched from, and at what time. We know where they landed, and when. We know rockets came only from regime-controlled areas, and went only to opposition-controlled or contested neighborhoods.

And we know, as does the world, that just 90 minutes later all hell broke loose in the social media. With our own eyes we have seen the thousands of reports from 11 separate sites in the Damascus suburbs. All of them show and report victims with breathing difficulties, people twitching, with spasms, coughing, rapid heartbeats, foaming at the mouth, unconsciousness and death.

And we know it was it was ordinary Syrian citizens who reported all of these horrors.

…Now, we know that after a decade of conflict, the American people are tired of war. Believe me, I am too. But fatigue does not absolve us of our responsibility. Just longing for peace does not necessarily bring it about.

And history would judge us all extraordinarily harshly if we turned a blind eye to a dictator’s wanton use of weapons of mass destruction against all warnings, against all common understanding of decency. These things, we do know.

We also know that we have a president who does what he says that he will do. And he has said very clearly that whatever decision he makes in Syria, it will bear no resemblance to Afghanistan, Iraq or even Libya. It will not involve any boots on the ground. It will not be open-ended. And it will not assume responsibility for a civil war that is already well underway.

The president has been clear: Any action that he might decide to take will be limited and tailored response to ensure that a despot’s brutal and flagrant use of chemical weapons is held accountable. And ultimately, we are committed, we remain committed, we believe it’s the primary objective is to have a diplomatic process that can resolve this through negotiation because we know there is no ultimate military solution. It has to be political. It has to happen at the negotiating table. And we are deeply committed to getting there.

Uh huh. And, Obamacare will not cost anyone their jobs. Oh…and you can keep your doctor.

Hearing from the Haughty One, John F. Kerry, is all well and good. However, why didn’t the author of this pre-fabricated war come out and speak to the American People live, instead of taping a short speech to air after SOS Kerry did his job for him?

Perhaps it was because he knows that 80% of Americans want no part of his Pre-Fab War.

Obama was either too scared to speak to us yesterday, or he considers us all ignorant peons, who are not worth his time or consideration.

Which would account for the fact that Obama has kept us in the dark concerning the fact that the Syrian Rebels, otherwise known as al Qaeda, have Saudi Arabian backing.

You remember Saudi Arabia, the ones who putz around with our oil prices, who own an interest in Fox News, and the nation who gave birth to the murderous Radical Muslims, who were responsible for the largest Terrorist attack ever perpetrated on American soil, during which over 3,000 Americans were slaughtered, the day which shall live in infamy, September 11, 2001?

Yeah, those guys.

Per syrianews.cc,

The totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia, one of the best friends of the Western “democratic governments”, has sent weapons to the hands of the Syrian Al-Qaeda offshoot in the northern region of the Arab nation and according to several reports by the journalist team of ANNA news, these reports about Saudi weapons and ammunition in the hands of Al Qaeda in northern Syria are true.

The team of ANNA news on site in Syria had recently already reported that several foreign-backed terrorist groups used a new kind of missiles in their attacks on troops of the Syrian Arab army (SAA). In addition the team of ANNA news even had luck some weeks ago because a group of foreign-supported terrorists had also fired several of this new kind of missiles on the team.

According to the recent reports about Saudi weapons and military equipment in the hands of the Syrian Al-Qaeda branch in northern Syria about 60% of the arms shipments by the totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia to Syria have been supplied by Saudi Arabia to the jihadist groups, which are linked to the al-Qaeda offshoot on Syrian soil. The United Nations (UN) has received some intelligence information that confirms the delivery of Saudi weapons and ammunition to the Islamist forces in northern Syria.

In a new report by the Lebanese newspaper “al-Akhbar”, the intelligence information that has been received by the United Nations (UN) confirms that the Jabhat al-Nusra (al-Nusra Front / Syrian Al-Qaeda offshoot) as well as the Islamic Emirate of Iraq and Sham, also linked to the terrorist organization of Al Qaeda, once established by the U.S. administration, have received the major part of the shipped weapons cargos from the totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia to the foreign-backed terrorists in Syria.

The same will happen with the upcoming shipments of U.S. weapons and Israeli arms to Syria due to the situation that the Syrian Al-Qaeda branch is already more powerful and present in Syria than e.g. the foreign-supported criminals and terrorists of the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA).

In addition, it is not a huge surprise that Saudi weapons have arrived in the hands of Islamists and jihadists in Syria. The totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia is not only one of the best friends of Western states but also one of the biggest sponsors of terrorism on this planet – while the dictatorship oppresses its own people and also destroys ancient religious places in Saudi Arabia in order to build supermarkets, malls, and hotels for tourists.

The totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia has supplied a lot of weapons from one of the East European countries, which were alleged to be shipped to the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) in Syria, but the dictatorship in Riyadh has finally delivered the weapons and ammunition to the Al-Qaeda-linked jihadist brigades in Syria, according to the new report by the Lebanese daily “al-Akbhar” from yesterday.

The Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations (UN), Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, has recently already confirmed the arms deal between Saudi Arabia and the Israeli regime. Birds of a feather flock together. According to reports, the totalitarian dictatorship of Saudi Arabia made this deal with the Israeli regime about weapons from Israel in order to also sent these Israeli arms to the foreign-backed terrorists on Syrian soil. This is, to be honest, a declaration of war by Saudi Arabia in direction to the Syrian government and the Syrian people.

Yesterday, pundits all over the Internet were writing that we are about to go to war, simply because Obama’s ego is bruised, because Assad daring to cross an imaginary “red line”, which Scooter ad-libbed about in a speech many months ago.

I believe that there is more to this situation than that. I believe that during the meetings at the White House with the Muslim Brotherhood, an agreement was reached to back their efforts, including those of their off-shoot, al Qaeda, to bring the entire Middle East under Radical Muslim rule, as a part of a never-ending “Arab Spring”.

The reason that Obama did not face the nation, live in front of the cameras yesterday, and announce his decision, is due to the tremendous blowback he is receiving, concerning his plans to basically facilitate a regime change in Syria.

Yes. Assad is a bad guy. However, it is very obvious to anyone who is paying attention, what Obama is actually doing.

I am certain that he is being called out by his own Party Leaders, and other Advisers within his Administration, as to how feckless he is looking to American citizens and the rest of the world, including our enemies.

Now, Obama is caught between a rock and a hard place. He either alienates his “allies” in the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda, or he risks possible impeachment hearings, for getting us involved in another country’s Civil War.

Either way, the Manchurian President is “choomed”.

Until He Comes,

Breitbart: Shining a Light Into the Darkness

I am a Christian Conservative Blogger.  I do not get paid for writing.  I wish I did.  Under God’s watch, perhaps some day, I will be.

I only wish that I could touch as many Americans’ lives as the Conservative Blogger whom we lost yesterday did.

Fox News has the story:

Widely read conservative Internet publisher Andrew Breitbart, whose flare for battle with politicians and the mainstream media earned him a reputation as one of the nation’s most influential commentators, died Thursday.

The websites he founded ran a statement Thursday morning announcing that Breitbart, 43, died “unexpectedly from natural causes” in Los Angeles shortly after midnight. His attorney and editor-in-chief of those sites confirmed his death to Fox News.

“We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior,” the statement said. “Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.”

Breitbart was a prolific commentator who founded several websites devoted to covering politics, entertainment and everything in-between. Earlier in his career, he worked for the Drudge Report before breaking off to start his own outlets — including Big Government, Big Hollywood and Breitbart.tv.

The statement on his sites quoted the concluding passage from his book, Righteous Indignation.

“I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and — famously — I enjoy making enemies. Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands — who knows? — of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night,” Breitbart wrote.

The statement ended: “Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.”

It has since been found out, as published by The Hollywood Reporter, after his death, that Breitbart spent the last hour of his life taking politics in a LA bar named The Brentwood.

There, he struck up a conversation with Arthur Sando, a marketing executive who didn’t know Breitbart but likely was the last person to talk extensively with him before he died.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sando says he arrived at the bar in the tony Brentwood section of L.A. around 10 p.m. and soon the empty seat next to his was filled by a man with a familiar face.

“I tried to figure out how I knew him,” says Sando, a veteran publicity and marketing executive who works for dietary supplement company MonaVie and has worked at CBS, King World Prods and Turner Broadcasting. “He was on his BlackBerry. And I said ‘Andrew?’ I told him I had seen his work.”

Sando says the duo quickly struck up a conversation that would last a little less than two hours.

“He was friendly and engaging,” Sando recalls. “I said, ‘You can’t be very happy with the slate of Republican candidates’ and he said, ‘Why would you say that?’ I said, ‘Well, they’re talking about contraception,’ and he said, ‘The conversation is being framed by the liberal media.’ I said, ‘Well, the media isn’t writing Rick Santorum’s speeches for him.’ We had a back-and-forth for awhile until we said we weren’t going to agree on some things.”

The friendly debate continued in the bar as Breitbart sipped red wine, says Sando. “We just hit it off, he was delightful. There were other people who sat down and joined the conversation.”

Sando also mentioned that he hadn’t seen Breitbart as a guest on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher recently; Breitbart told Sando he enjoyed going on Maher’s show because it taught him how to deal with a hostile audience and how to react when getting booed.

Breitbart had stopped in for a drink but wasn’t there to meet anyone in particular, Sando says. Nor were there any signs of health or other problems.

“He wasn’t drinking excessively,” Sando recalls. “He was on his BlackBerry a lot.”

After the two hours, Breitbart said he was leaving. “We exchanged contact information,” Sando says. “We were going to get together.”

Sando says he was “shocked” to read Thursday morning that Breitbart, who had a history of heart problems, had collapsed while on a walk near his home in the same neighborhood as the bar. Breitbart was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead at 12:19 a.m., according to Reuters, less than an hour after leaving The Brentwood.

The exact cause of death has not been revealed but initial reports said it was natural causes.

“There were no signs that anything was wrong,” says Sando. “It’s very sad.”

That is an understatement.  Breitbart had made an unbelievable impact on the Internet since launching his “Big” websites.  And while, Tweets, e-mails, and articles expressing sympathy and grief reverberated across the Worldwide Web, classless Liberals were celebrating Breitbart’s passing by issuing vile, repulsive messages, which I refuse to repeat here.

Andrew Breitbart left a legacy of fearless, righteous reporting and “telling it like it is”.  If he were still here, he would be calling those clueless Liberals out on their hyena-like behavior.  And he would probably write something like…

Isn’t it funny how those who claim to be the most tolerant among us and actually the least tolerant of all?

RIP Andrew Breitbart.  Thank you for shining the light and making the cockroaches scurry for cover.
