MLK, BHO, The Ferguson Riots, And “The Great Society”

Obama Split-Screen 11252014It was August of 1976, and I was a Freshman at (then) Memphis State University, sitting in Professor Williams’ “Introduction to Journalism” Class. The Professor, whom we swore was George Washington’s Press Secretary, was telling us about Marshall McLuhan, universally regarded as the father of communications and media studies and prophet of the information Age, and his observation that “the medium is the message”.

Well, Monday night, a seminal moment in cable news proved, not only that McLuhan was a prophet, but that

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Foxnews.com reports that

President Obama couldn’t beat the rioters to the airwaves. Moments after the announcement of a grand jury’s decision to not charge Officer Darren Wilson with a crime for shooting robbery suspect Michael Brown, Obama came before television viewers to call for calm and for media outlets to focus on peaceful protests taking place. But before Obama could get off the dais, the arson, riots and looting that would rage through the night had already begun. That split-screen image was the starkest illustration yet of the limitations of a man whose rationale for seeking the presidency despite a slim resume was his ability to meet what he said was America’s greatest need: Someone “to bring the country together.” Obama explained in February 2007 that he would run because “one of the skills that [he brings] to bear is being able to pull together the different strands of American life and focus on what we have in common.” Nearly seven years later, quite the opposite has proven to be true.

… In his remarks amid the opening moments of Monday’s riot, Obama said America has “made enormous progress in race relations” over the past “several decades.” But any of Obama’s recent predecessors certainly could have said the same thing. The more important question: How is Obama, who rationalized his upstart candidacy on his skills on the subject, doing at pulling together “the different strands” of our culture? The broad consensus is strongly negative. Many on the left blame a racist backlash against the first non-white president, while many on the right blame a president who has embraced divisive politics and demonized rivals. But whatever the reasons, Obama’s presidency has witnessed a marked decline in race relations in America. Americans have a dimmer view of race relations, with one poll showing a 10-point drop from 2013 to 2014 alone.

Perhaps, it is because the Community Organizing Race-Baiter-In-Chief, through his Racially Divisive Rhetoric, has empowered some of his followers to think that it is okay to act like a bunch of Attila the Hun’s Barbarians burning, looting, and vandalizing their neighbors’ properties.

What has caused this lack of personal morals, ethics, and responsibility, not only in Ferguson, but also in Oakland, Memphis, and in other racial hot spots in our nation?

I think I know.

Back in the 60s, President Lyndon Johnson (whose big hand I once shook, at his ranch, as a little boy, after his presidential term) and the Democrats, brought forth a plan, called “the Great Society”. It was decided, in order to ensure that everyone would have an equal opportunity in America, that Uncle Sugar would step in to fill in the gaps.

Two seminal pieces of legislation were passed.

First, the Civil Rights Bill that JFK promised to sign, before his assassination, was passed into law. This Act banned discrimination based on race and gender in employment and ending segregation in all public facilities.

It also helped to cement in stone, minorities’ loyalty to the Democratic Party, which continues to this day.

The second bill that LBJ signed into law was the sweeping ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY ACT OF 1964. It created the Office of Economic Opportunity whose stated purpose was to attack the roots of American poverty. A Job Corps was then established to provide vocational training.

A preschool program designed to help disadvantaged students arrive at kindergarten ready to learn, named HEADSTART, was then established. Then came VOLUNTEERS IN SERVICE TO AMERICA (VISTA), which was set up as a domestic Peace Corps. Schools in impoverished American regions would now receive volunteer teaching attention. Federal funds were sent to struggling communities to attack unemployment and illiteracy.

What Johnson told Americans, as he campaigned in 1964, was that the establishment of this “Great Society” was going to eliminate the problems of America’s poor.

It had the opposite effect

The Great Society created a dependent class, which, instead of diminishing as it’s members joined the workforce, increased from generation to generation, relying on the federal government to provide their every need.

Uncle Sugar became Mother, Father, Preacher, and Doctor to generations of Americans. This “plantation mentality” continues to this day.

A couple of years ago, I worked at our county’s State Employment Center Office.

While at the Employment Office, I was able to observe Americans, both Black and White, down on their luck, struggling to find work and survive in this economy. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of “unemployed ” who came to this particular office were Black.

I saw Black American Families whose existence living on the Government Dole, had become generational.

It is these people whom Obama and the Democrats have hypnotized into believing that Uncle Sugar loves them, and is their only solution to surviving a stifling existence.

They are so, so wrong.

The strength and vitality of America does not come from the benevolence of a Nanny-state Federal Government.

As the greatest American President of my lifetime, Ronald Reagan said:

The nine words you never want to hear are: I’m from the Government and I’m here to help.

Being enslaved to the Government Dole steals one’s ambition. It takes away any impetus or desire to create a better life for yourself and your family, to challenge yourself to pick yourself up by your bootstraps and pursue the American Dream. It makes you reliant on a politically motivated spider’s web full of government bureaucrats who view you and your family as job security.

I watched American citizens trapped in this web of government bureaucracy, so numbed of any initiative that they once had, that they seemed offended that they actually had to prove that they inquired about three jobs that week in order to keep their “benefits”. Others seemed puzzled that they had to search through the state data base and pick out a job that they wanted to talk to an interviewer about receiving a referral to, and weren’t just simply handed a job when they walked through the door.

Instead of moving forward, by exercising the self-reliance that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached so well, these people I saw, were content on being “taken care of” by Uncle Sugar, as if being held down by their own poor, miserable circumstance, was a good thing.

As a Republican, I am sure that it would have offended you, Dr. King, to hear the tenants of Marxism, i.e., “sharing the wealth” and Class Envy, being “preached” to the same Black Americans whom you tried so mightily to raise up and inspire.

This week, the results of LBJ’s “Great Society” have been the lead story in every television newscast, on every newspaper front page, and on every internet news/political website.

Dr King, I am sorry to tell you that racism and injustice is still going on in America. Unfortunately, it will not end any time soon, There are two many race-baiters profiting off of it.

Including, the President of the United States.

The part of your magnificent speech about “the content of their character” has been purposefully ignored by the professional race-baiters and assorted politicians (but, I repeat myself) all this past week.

Dr. King, your call for self-reliance took a back seat to their self-serving agenda, a long time ago.

“No True Bill!” No Indictment. Americans Relieved. Obama’s “New Bolsheviks” Riot.

Michael Brown Riots 8132014Last night, Americans sat in front of our television sets waiting for the verdict in the Michael Brown Case. This was not a trial, although many had already convicted Officer Darren Wilson before deliberations even begun.

The verdict would come from the Grand Jury, who was hearing evidence in this controversial case. What a Grand Jury does, and I can tell you from first hand experience, having been a Juror on both a Federal Grand Jury and a State Grand Jury, is review evidence with the prosecuting attorney, who presents witnesses testifying on behalf of the Prosecution, in an effort to figure out whether the Federal or State Government has enough evidence to take the accused to trial. This is called handing down an indictment.

In the case of officer Darren Wilson, accused of shooting young thug Michael Brown in cold blood, it seems like the President of the United States and his administration already had Officer Wilson convicted before the Grand Jury even begin to deliberate.

What bothered me and most Americans, was the fact that there was a video which showed the character of Michael Brown, as he plainly stole cigarillos from the local convenience store, strong- arming the Asian owner who tried to stop him, pushing him into a potato chip rack. Even the most ignorant among us knew the reason that Michael was stealing those cigarillos. It was to smoke something other than tobacco.

Obama even sent down Attorney General Eric Holder to try to intimidate the Grand Jury into indicting Officer Wilson, or at least to put pressure on them to move in that direction. In fact, the Obama Administration even sent three representatives to the funeral of a young thug.

The best laid plans of mice and often go awry – Robert Burns

USA Today reports that

A white police officer will not face charges for fatally shooting an unarmed black teenager in a case that set off violent protests and racial unrest throughout the nation.

A St. Louis County grand jury declined to indict officer Darren Wilson, 28, for firing six shots in an August confrontation that killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, St. Louis County prosecutor Robert McCulloch said Monday night.

The decision had been long awaited and followed rioting that resembled war-zone news footage in this predominantly black suburb of St. Louis.

Prosecutor McCullough made the announcement in an unusual nighttime presentation in a courtroom. He spoke at length about media coverage of the case and what he called the unreliability of eyewitness accounts. He said the grand jury weighed evidence and testimony before concluding there was no probable cause to indict the officer.

“The duty of the grand jury is to separate fact from fiction,” McCulloch said.

He said prosecuting attorneys presented five potential indictments to the grand jury, and all were rejected.

A traditional Chinese curse states,

May you live in interesting times.

And, we most certainly do.

Something that puzzles all of us is why someone would want to riot over the death of a young thug obviously engaging in illegal activities, who according to the number one medical examiner in the country , Dr Michael Baden, was shot while attempting to climb into the car with Officer Wilson and take his gun away from him. Michael was shot in the top of the head and the front, not in the back trying to run away, or strictly in the chest, with his hands held high, as the original claims made by “witnesses” were documented.

So, why have these people been rioting?

Could it be because of the poverty they’ve experienced? No. There are a lot of poverty-stricken Americans who have never acted in such a reprehensible manner.

No, I believe it is another reason.

Spurred on by President Barack Hussein Obama, who met with the organizers in private on November 5th, these rioters are after something else. They are after a “radical change” in America.

Check out the Race-Baiter-in-Chief’s remarks to the nation after the decision not to indict was announced last night, courtesy of nationaljournal.com,

“The fact is, in too many parts of this country, a deep distrust exists between law enforcement and communities of color. Some of this is the result of the legacy of racial discrimination in this country. And this is tragic because nobody needs good policing more than poor communities with higher crime rates,” Obama said, highlighting the need for criminal justice reform. “We need to recognize that this is not just an issue for Ferguson, this is an issue for America.”

Already, there are reports of possible gunshots in Ferguson among large crowds. Obama asked police in the area “to show care and restraint in managing peaceful protests that may occur.” While saying that police have a “tough job” to do, he asked that “as they do their jobs in the coming days, they need to work with the community, not against the community, to distinguish the handful of people who may use the grand jury’s decision as an excuse for violence.”

Just as the Bolsheviks provided cover for Vladimir Lenin in the Russian Revolution, so are these modern-day Bolsheviks providing a Vanguard for the implementation of the promise that Obama made us when he was running for president, that he would “radically change” America.

You see, it does not matter to the animals out there rioting, that Michael Brown was a thug. The color of his skin matters to them more than the content of his character.

These misbegotten individuals who are expressing themselves through violence are doing so in order to gain something that their political ideology never has been able to. They want an overthrow of the “Establishment”. Just as her parents and grandparents before them sat around smoking dope in the Dean’s Office, these rioters want something that the majority of Americans do not. They want America to become a socialist state.

Fortunately for you, me, our children, and our grandchildren, no matter how loud they shout, or how violently they riot, these protesters, paid and unpaid, will not achieve their goal.

The concept of America, as documented by our Founding Fathers, and as paid for by the blood of previous generations of Americans, is as eternal as the sky above us.

It is a concept of a Constitutional Republic, based on liberty. And liberty, is freedom…with responsibility.

Neither the Obama Administration nor the rioters will probably understand what I am saying today, but, thank God that the overwhelming majority of Americans still do.

First “Post-Racial” President Weighs in One Mo’ Time on Upcoming Ferguson Verdict

Ferguson MO8202014As I sit here, writing today’s blog, America waits on “the other shoe to drop. Obama, last Thursday, dropped the “Amnesty Shoe”, now we’re waiting on the “Race-Baiting Shoe”.

Obama prepared us for it, yesterday morning.

Foxnews.com reports that

President Obama on Sunday called for calm after the announcement of the pending grand jury decision in Ferguson, Mo., and argued that race relations in the U.S. have significantly improved in the past 10 years.

“My own experience tells me race relations continue to improve,” Obama said on ABC’s “This Week,” in an interview taped last week. “There’s no way to say race relations are worse than 20, 50 years ago.”

The much-anticipated announcement — whether a white police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed black man, will be indicted in connection with the incident — is now not expected until at least Monday.

The days following the Aug. 9 incident were marked by mass protests and a strong police response. And officials are preparing for a similar situation if Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson in not indicted and brought to trial.

“First and foremost, keep protests peaceful,” Obama told ABC. “This is a country that allows everybody to express their views, allows them to peacefully assemble, to protest actions that they think are unjust, but using any event as an excuse for violence is contrary to rule of law and contrary to who we are.”

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon on Monday declared a state of emergency in anticipation of problems following the announcement.

The FBI has sent nearly 100 additional agents to Ferguson to help law enforcement agencies, according to a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the official was not authorized to discuss the FBI plans.

Crews this weekend erected barricades around the Clayton, Mo., judicial center where the grand jury has been considering whether to indict Wilson.

Tensions have been mounting in Ferguson and elsewhere in the St. Louis area in recent days, with many speculating that the grand jury’s decision would be announced on Sunday.

Police arrested three protesters on Friday night — the third straight night of unrest in Ferguson.

Barricades also have been erected in Ferguson where police had set up a makeshift command center in the immediate aftermath of Brown’s death.

Obama also said the country needs to do a better job training law enforcement officials and seemed to make a reference to Trayvon Martin.

He said law enforcement needs to “distinguish between a gang banger and a kid who just happens to be wearing a hoodie but otherwise is a good kid and not doing anything wrong.”

Martin was shot and killed on the night of Feb. 26, 2012 by Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman.

The unarmed teen, who was wearing a hoodie, and 28-year-old Zimmerman got into a fatal altercation. Zimmerman was acquitted on manslaughter and murder charges.

Obama would not say whether he will go to Ferguson after the announcement and declined to compare the situation to the 1965 civil rights march in Selma, Ala.

Point of Order, Mr. President.  About this RAAACIIISM Thingy…for 20 years you sat under the former American Black Muslim Rev. Jeremiah Wright, at the Trinity Church of Christ, a “Black Liberation Theology” Church.

What is “Black Liberation Theology”? I’m glad you asked.

The chief architect of black liberation theology was James Cone, author of Black Theology and Black Power. One of the tasks of this movement, according to Cone, is to analyze the nature of the gospel of Jesus Christ in light of the experience of blacks who have long been victimized by white oppressors. According to black liberation theology, the inherent racism of white people precludes them from being able to recognize the humanity of nonwhites; moreover, their white supremacist orientation allegedly results in the establishment of a “white theology” that is irrevocably disconnected from the black experience. Consequently, liberation theologians contend that blacks need their own, race-specific theology to affirm their identity and their worth.

“What we need,” says Cone, “is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of Black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.” Observing that America was founded for white people, Cone calls for “the destruction of whiteness, which is the source of human misery in the world.” He advocates the use of Marxism as a tool of social analysis to help Christians to see “how things really are.”

Another prominent exponent of black liberation theology is the Ivy League professor Cornel West, who calls for “a serious dialogue between Black theologians and Marxist thinkers” — a dialogue that centers on the possibility of “mutually arrived-at political action.”

In the past, Obama has credited a sermon of Mr. Wright’s, “The Audacity of Hope,” with drawing him to what he identified back in 2008 as, “Christianity”.

On Page 293 of his first book,  “Dreams for My Father,” Obama recounts Wright’s “The Audacity of Hope” sermon.

Obama quotes this passage:

It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks’ greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…That’s the world! On which hope sits!

In fact, Wright had so influenced the young Illinois Senator that Obama made the phrase “The Audacity of Hope” the title of his second book.

However, right before he announced his presidential campaign, Obama started to put distance between himself and his pastor of 20 years, cancelling plans for him to deliver the convocation prayer at the campaign’s formal announcement.

The president has been physically distancing himself from Rev. Wright ever since.

Can you say hypocrisy, boys and girls? Sure you can.

I have been thinking about Michael Brown and what his childhood might have been like, especially after seeing the way his parents have reacted to his death, ranging from the scuffle his Mudear got in over the selling of t-shirts, to both of his parents wishing to appear before the United Nations.

And then, I flash on that video of the young thug that Michael Brown had become, stealing those cigarillos from that local convenience store, in order to make blunts, and him roughing up that much smaller shop owner.

I have never been able to stomach mistreatment of children. I know it is because of my upbringing, in a stable Christian home. Nowadays, that familial situation, which my generation was so familiar with, is becoming more and more scarce. In fact, it’s on the Obama’ Administration’s Hit List. You see, Liberals, Progressives, socialists, Alinskyites, worshipers of Molech, or whatever you want to call these yahoos, , want the “gub’mit”, good ol’ Uncle Sugar, to raise , educate, and pay for (with OUR tax money) their “chirren”.

Oh…they also want US to pay for the killing of their “inconvenient” babies, as well.

These “parents”, if they are not “Pookies”, sitting around on the couch, drinking Purple “drank” and smoking Blunts all day, while waiting on their “benefits”, are middle-class, self-absorbed , materialistic heathens, who are 30 year old adolescents, caring more about their own careers and social lives, than they are about leading a child “in the way in which they should go”.

The children, in both instances, are left to fend for themselves, and grow up thinking that the behavior they see on television and at home, is the behavior of every adult in America.

And, that is how that young man wound up strong-arming that shop owner and later, assaulting that police officer, an act for which he lost his life.

In the church I grew up in, in one of the Sunday School classrooms, was a painting of Jesus, seated, with a child on his lap, surrounded by little children, smiling and talking to them.

As a child growing up, I thought to myself, how great that must have to been to have Him for a friend.

Then, as I became older, I realized that I already did.

It breaks my heart that the young thug, Michael Brown, who is now being made a meal of by Race-Baiting Vultures, wase not properly introduced to such a Friend.

He would have made all the difference in his young life.

Obama’s New Bolsheviks: His Vanguard of “Radical Change” (A KJ Op Ed)

AFBrancoConsequences111714Back in the 1990s, I worked in the Education/Media Services Department, of one of the largest hospitals in America. The department was overseen by an older lady, who had an educational doctorate. This lady was full of energy, was very sweet, and very smart. However, she became notorious for what my manager labeled “crisis management”. Meaning, that when the president of the hospital wanted her to undertake a major project and wanted a report of her plans before she began, she would wait until the last cotton picking minute to get her act together and her report as well, sending the whole department into a frenzy which was reminiscent of the chase scene at the end of The Benny Hill Show.

I remembered that story, as I was trying to get a handle on United States President Barack Hussein Obama’s management style. Obama, as we all know, has a management style that is reactive, instead of being proactive. His management of our nation’s resources leaves a lot to be desired. And, I am being very kind when I say that.

Perhaps there is a purpose in Obama’s slapdash method of handling his job duties.

We have all come to recognize that Obama does not handle criticism of his job performance very well. Let’s face it, Obama’s ego is as big as the great outdoors. And, of course, when you are a super genius such as Barack Hussein Obama, you don’t have to listen to peons like you and me, anyway.

The thread that ties together the story which I began today’s blog with and Barack Hussein Obama’s management style, is the fact that when you practice crisis management, more times than not, you do it in the fervent hope that by doing such, no one can question your management style until everything is said and done. In other words, until it is too late to do anything about it.

Obama, while practicing this management style, hopes to circumvent the Constitution of the United States, by portraying the “plight” of people who have trespassed into our country as an “emergency humanitarian situation”. If news had not leaked out last week that Obama was going to grant Amnesty by Executive Order, he probably would have just come on television this Friday and explained his whole brilliant plan to all of us. And, by the time we finished watching his pronouncement slack-jawed, in his mind anyway, it would have been too late for us to do anything about it.

When you have a crisis manager such as Obama, it is a very natural reaction for them not to take criticism well, and for them to be surprised when somebody bucks them on what they believe is a brilliant idea and a brilliant game plan.

Hence, the Presidential Temper Tantrums that Scooter throws every time somebody tells him “NO”.

However, in our present situation in America, I believe that this may be more than the simple case of a crisis manager’s plans being thwarted.

When you have an orderly structure already in place, such as our System of Checks and Balances, which was set up to provide a mechanism which protects our sovereign nation from usurpation of our Constitution, and provided for us in the founding of this country by our forefathers, it is not easily circumvented.

It hit me yesterday, after I wrote a blog about Obama’ s meeting with the protest leaders who are presently chomping at the bit to write it in Ferguson Missouri over the shooting of the young thug, Michael Brown.

What Obama was running for president, he promised to “radically change” the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave into a vision which he had for America. I believe that not only this upcoming amnesty on Friday, but the racial upheaval in Ferguson and across the country, which Obama’s irresponsible use of the rhetoric of race and class warfare has directly caused, as well, are both political tools, which he wishes to use as a Vanguard for his own revolution, whose sole purpose is to usher in the “radical change” which he spoke of all those years ago.

Just as was the case in the Russian Revolution, any “Democratic Socialist” nation we see around our Modern World, went through a course-altering revolution, whether through a violent overthrow of the Government or through a “radical change” in the political ideology of their nation and the way that their populace voted in the subsequent election.

I firmly believe that the mission of Barack Hussein Obama, from the moment he became President of United States to this very day, has been exactly what he said it was during his first presidential campaign: to “radically change” our nation into something that every patriotic American will no longer recognize.

With citizenship and voting rights granted to illegal aliens and with Obama’s covert and overt support of these perpetually-grieved protesters, fueled by racial animus, Obama has created his own version of Lenin’s Bolsheviks.

That is why the election earlier this month was so very important. No matter what the puppets of the Obama Administration, the Main Street Media proclaims,  the reason that Americans elected Republicans to both Houses of Congress was not to work with Barack Hussein Obama, but to oppose him at every turn.

America’s survival as a free nation depends on it.

Of Ferguson, Falsehoods, and a Failed “Great Society”

Ferguson MO8202014With the reality of a historic drubbing in the 2014 Midterm Elections beginning to sink in among the grieving politically-active Liberal Element of our society, the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, where citizens and outside agitators are waiting on a decision by the Grand Jury deliberating whether or not to indict Police Officer Darren Vinson in the shooting of local thug Michael Brown, has assumed the National Spotlight again.

CNN.com reports that

Ferguson Mayor James Knowles told local media this week that authorities must “prepare for the worst” and he expects demonstrations across the area.

He and his administration didn’t respond to CNN’s inquiries about whether city officials would agree to the coalition’s requests. Ferguson police also did not respond to CNN’s questions about what that department thinks of the “rules,” but St. Louis County police said their department “endorses the statement from the Don’t Shoot Coalition regarding the sanctity and preservation of human life. To that end, and in the spirit of building communications, members of the Unified Command have met with the coalition to define common goals.”

Many protesters were furious because they feel Brown’s killing was an example of excessive use of force. They and heavily armed law enforcement clashed in the streets for days after Brown’s death.

Authorities, who drove armored vehicles and wore military gear, were roundly criticized by members of the media, other law enforcement officials and demonstrators for escalating the violence, rather than tempering it. Law enforcement also was accused of blocking and, in some cases, attacking journalists who were trying to report on the situation.

Some of the coalition’s “rules” ask that police provide information that makes clear law enforcement’s chain of command, who is making what decisions and why, and assurances that neither police nor the government will interfere with the flow of information. That means, according to the “rules,” there will be no unwarranted wiretapping or attempts to interfere with internet and cellular access. The rules ask the police not to use rubber bullets, armored vehicles, rifles and tear gas.

The organization also has written stipulations about how it wants police to present themselves, including a request that officers wear attire “minimally required for their safety” and that “specialized riot gear will be avoided except as a last resort.”

Knowles would not give details on law enforcement’s plan following the grand jury’s decision,CNN affiliate Fox 2 reported Wednesday. But he spoke in broad terms about the approach law enforcement is going to take.

“It’s not going to be about lining up a fixed line of law enforcement officers somewhere, it’s going to be about being prepared, being reactive, being mobile, being able to respond to wherever an issue breaks out,” the mayor said.

Knowles also expects there’s going to be unrest outside of Ferguson.

“It’s not going to be about Ferguson,” he said. “The threats that are out there are threats across the region. Our expectation is that demonstrations will probably break out in several places.”

The mayor told Fox 2 that people who are close to organizers and protesters have informed him that demonstrators are planning to focus on areas around St. Louis and the city’s downtown.

Area school superintendents have written a letter urging that when the grand jury comes to a decision that it be announced on a weekend or at least not on a weekday until after 5 p.m. The superintendents are concerned that if chaos happens, that could affect the ability of nearly 20,000 students who use transportation to get to and from school.

Like most Americans, I have watched in fascination…and disgust…as the situation in Ferguson, Missouri has devolved into some sort of bizarre rush to judgement, for the purpose of some kind of strange racial reparation.

As the evidence against Michael Brown makes its way into the harsh light of day, the professional race-baiters, who have besieged the tiny town of Ferguson, and their supporting Liberal Pundits and sycophants on the World Wide Web, have continued their chorus of “innocence due to perpetual victimhood”, in the case of Michael Brown, proving that denial is not just a river in Egypt.

You see, boys and girls, at this point in the Liberal fairy tale narrative of “Mike the Gentle Giant”, with all of the blood-thirsty Liberal Trolls, who have descended upon the town of Ferguson, publicly writhing in anticipation of a Grand Jury Indictment in the trial of Officer Darren Vinson, anything less than that will not satisfy their blood lust.

That is why President Barack Hussein Obama sent Attorney General Eric Holder down to Ferguson. Holder was there to make sure that Officer Vinson in indicted in the “wrongful death” of “Gentle Giant” Michael Brown.

Even if the shooting of the 6’4″, 290 lb. thieving, store owner-bullying, dope-smoking, 18 year-old thug was justified.

Decades ago, when the Ku Klux Klan rode through the nation, innocent black men were hung from the nearest tree, simply because of the color of their skin.

Today, in 2014, it appears that those roles have been reversed.

And, it has been sanctioned by Presidential Decree.

Two wrongs do not make a right…”civil” or otherwise.

President Ronald Reagan once said,

There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect.

Compare it to these words:

It’s not to make excuses for that fact — although black folks do interpret the reasons for that in a historical context. They understand that some of the violence that takes place in poor black neighborhoods around the country is born out of a very violent past in this country, and that the poverty and dysfunction that we see in those communities can be traced to a very difficult history. – President Barack Hussein Obama, 7/19/2014

President Obama, for his own political reasons, reinforces, at every opportunity, the self-fulfilling prophecy that the Black Community is still shackled and limited in their freedom.

Which is an ironic statement, considering, as a Black man, that he presently holds the position of President of the most powerful country on the face of the Earth.

Back in High School, during the 1974-1975 school year, I was a Sophomore Commissioner on the Student Council with a fellow named James. James was one of those students who were bused to our school. He went on to play football and run track. More importantly, James went on to have a 4.5 GPA, make a 32 on his ACT, and receive a full scholarship to Harvard, and later, went on to Johns Hopkins Medical School. James worked hard and he achieved.

Millions of other Black Americans have, as well.

The current race-baiting and racially-based pandering by the President and his Administration dishonors those who have achieved and has constrained those who might otherwise achieve.

The Memphis Kroger “Flash Mob”: When Is A “Hate Crime”, A “Hate Crime”?

Memphis KrogerFlashMobIt’s the night of April 4, 1968.  A 9 (and almost 1/2) year old boy is watching a program on a black and white television set in his home in the mid-town area of Memphis, Tennessee.  Suddenly, the screen changes to the Civil Defense logo and he hears a voice saying:

Will all members of the National Guard please report to the Armory and all police and fire personnel please report to their stations.

Normal programming resumed.  Then, all of the sudden, or so it seemed, President Lyndon Baines Johnson came on the television saying:

I come to you tonight with a heavy heart…

And everything changed.

The year is 1972.  A skinny, undersized, asthmatic kid, new to Wooddale Junior High, is about to be annihilated in a game called Bombardment, a rather sadistic game thought up by the 9th grade P.E. coach for his personal amusement.  Resembling the movie “Dodgeball” on steroids,  two teams (usually the delinquents on one side and their victims on the other), would line up against both sides of the bleachers waiting for the coach’s whistle.  Then, the massacre would ensue.

Sure that I was about to breathe my last, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and a kind voice telling me to stand beside him.  I looked up to see the smiling face of Larry Finch, Senior shooting guard on the Memphis State University Tigers Basketball Team.  He had just taken an Internship at my school!

Of course, that was the year that they lost the NCAA Championship to Bill Walton and the UCLA Bruins.  I don’t think that anyone in the nation hollered at their television set louder that night than I did.

Over the semester, we became friends.  I became a Tiger Fan for life, eventually receiving my degree there  in 1980 in Radio, TV, and Film.  While there, I had the privilege of calling radio play-by-play for the Women’s Basketball and Men’s Baseball teams.

Larry is also the reason that I went on to play and coach basketball, including a 4th grade team and a church team, respectively.  My coaching record is 25 – 4.

You’re probably thinking to yourself, how can you consider yourself a friend of Larry Finch?  You only knew him for a short time.

In the early 80s, while Larry was an Assistant Coach at Memphis State University under Dana Kirk, I was working at Memphis Cablevision.  I was passing through a front office packed with customers, there to pay their bill.  All of the sudden, I heard a familiar voice shouting my last name at the top of his lungs.  It was Coach Finch!

He grinned that big ol’ grin at me, and hugged me until I thought my ribs would bust.  Then he asked me how I was doing, eager to hear about my life, and we talked as if there was no one else in that lobby.

And now, 30 years later, I’m sitting here, trying to write this post, as I grieve for  our hometown.

Just a few blocks west from an affluent neighborhood in what is known as East Memphis, a scene of reprehensible violence took place.

The local Memphis CBS Affiliate,  WREG, reports that

Three people were attacked by a large group of teenagers Saturday night.

The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Kroger at Highland and Poplar.

A store employee caught video of the attack.

A 25-year-old man said he was attacked by the group as he walked to his car. Two Kroger employees, 17 and 18, ran to help the man. Both were repeatedly hit in the head and face.

The teens told police pumpkins “in excess of 20 pounds” were thrown on their heads while they were on the ground.

Police say both teens lost consciousness.

Eventually, a security guard stopped the attack.

Kroger confirmed two of their male employees were attacked in the parking lot, taken to the hospital and released to their parents.

The video has spread via Facebook and other social media sites.

Memphis Police Director Toney Director Armstrong released a statement to the media:

“We are fully aware of last night’s incidents. It is extremely troubling to see how many young people were involved, especially on the heels of last week’s youth forum.

A lot of our citizens are working to provide safe and productive alternatives for our youth. For those that choose not to take advantage of these opportunities, we will work tirelessly to identify, locate and hold you accountable.

Last night’s events clearly demonstrates a lack of parental controls and if warranted these parents will also be held accountable.”

Investigators are working to identify the ones responsible for this crime.

Per other local sources, 100 black “yutes” were involved in the “flash mob”.

Eleven of the “little angels” were caught, including an 18 year-old, who was on “diversion” for smoking blunts and assault and a 15 year-old, who was not even registered with the Shelby County School System.

My beloved Memphis, a (long) Past Winner of “City Beautiful”,  can no longer lay claim to the nickname of the “City of Good Abode”.

I moved across Stateline Road to DeSoto County, Mississippi from Memphis, Tennessee in November of 1997 for a very good reason: I was no longer wanted there.

Former Memphis Mayor, W.W. Herenton , during a push to raise taxes, injected race into the matter, as he always did, and told Memphis’ White Citizens that, if they did not like the absurdly high tax rate, that they should leave town.

And, sure enough, we did.

My beloved hometown of Memphis, has been gutted by decades of poor financial stewardship, brought about by Democratic Leadership, who never saw a dollar they couldn’t spend, or a relative or friend that they couldn’t give a job with the city to.

And now, Memphis is struggling with its budget, and has now drastically cut the benefits of the police and fire department retirees.

What is amazing to me, the Mayor and City Council of Memphis act like they don’t know why this is happening.

Let’s see, Memphis Leadership, you raised taxes on the people who pay your “public servant” salaries, you then tell them to leave town, and you expand your municipal government to the size of a small city.

Obviously, the words “‘fiscal responsibility” don’t mean a darned thing to you.

Now, Memphis’ chickens have come home… to roost…including a failed school system which turned in its charter in a successful scheme to take over the more affluent county school system, only to see the county municipalities start their own individual systems, Memphis’ black citizens murdering each other every night, and gangs of black teenagers beating the snot out of innocent people, simply because they’re bored…and they have no parental guidance.

There will be very little national news coverage about the beat-down at the Kroger Parking Lot. Attorney General Eric Holder will not come down here…neither will the Justice Brothers, Revs. Jackson and Sharpton.

For, boys and girls, black on white crime, quite frankly, is rarely labeled a “Hate Crime”….due to political expediencies.

I may be a “Pollyanna”. but I can’t help but believe that the Civil Rights Leader, whom I experienced being gunned down, all those years ago, and my coach and mentor, who brought the Bluff City together, would be sorely disappointed in those whom they both believed in and sacrificed for, who have assumed leadership roles, both in Memphis and in the nation’s capital.

Because, for these self-serving Democrat Liberal Politicians, as they have demonstrated repeatedly, it is not about the content of the character of those who break the law, but rather, the color of their skin.

Ferguson Fallout: Iraq Veteran Beaten in “Hate Crime”. Elections Have Consequences.

obamamyworkOn February 7, 2007, Roger Simon published excerpts from an interview he had conducted with Barack Hussein Obama, potential Democrat Candidate for the Presidency of the United States, on politico.com. Here is a pertinent part of that interview:

Q: Jesse Jackson made very explicit in his campaigns for president that a vote for him was a sign of racial healing in America. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you make it that explicit. Do you believe that the election of you, a black man, to the presidency in 2008 would show something good about America? Or healing?

Obama: The fact that I am in a position to run a credible race is a sign of enormous progress. The fact that people have taken this campaign seriously and we’ve got a chance to win is a testimony not only how far America has traveled but also the legacy of Jackson’s race and (Shirley) Chisholm’s race and Carol Moseley-Braun’s and (Al) Sharpton’s races. Each time the effort is made, certain barriers are broken. And I am a beneficiary.

Q: People say you are unthreatening. I have never heard a white candidate described as unthreatening as a compliment. What is that all about? Do you have to be unthreatening to get elected?

Obama: Well, look, our racial politics are complicated in this country. There are lots of wounds that are still healing. I think that it’s not something that I have to end up thinking about a lot explicitly. But because of my background and circumstances I have the potential at least of bringing people together who might feel suspicious towards each other. I am not sure that is just racial, by the way. It’s been noted that I come from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, but throughout my career, I have always had extraordinarily good relations with very conservative colleagues. And that’s not because I agree with any of them or fudge on my positions, but people feel I listen to them and give them the benefit of the doubt. I assume the best of people. And that, I think, is an attitude that is maybe rare in politics these days. (He smiles.)

Q: Bill Bradley in his presidential campaign would always quote Toni Morrison as saying she looks forward to a world “where race exists but it doesn’t matter.” Is that the kind of world you want to see?

Obama: I would phrase it perhaps a little differently. I would love to see an America where race is understood in the same way that the ethnic diversity of the white population is understood. People take pride in being Irish-American and Italian-American. They have a particular culture that infuses the (whole) culture and makes it richer and more interesting. But it’s not something that determines people’s life chances and there is no sense of superiority or inferiority. I think if we can expand that attitude to embrace African-Americans and Latino-Americans and Asian-Americans, then we will be in a position where all our kids can feel comfortable with the worlds they are coming out of, knowing they are part of something larger.

Yeah. About that whole “racial healing” thingy.

WMC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Memphis reports the following. ..

West Point, Miss. – (WMC) – A 32-year-old Marine and Iraq war veteran attacked and beaten in what might be a hate crime.

Investigators say several men jumped Ralph Weems in a parking lot in West Point, Mississippi.

One man is in custody, but West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley says there were more attackers. His department is developing a list and trying to bring them in for questioning.

The Associated Press reports that Weems’ friend and fellow veteran David Knighten says the beating was racially charged.

Knighten says someone outside a Waffle House told him politely that it was not a safe place for whites to be at the moment, because people inside were upset over the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Knighten says Weems was inside arguing with some people. They both left and went to another restaurant.

A group of men followed them there. He says the men attacked both of them, shouting racial slurs during the attack.

Chief Brinkley says a hate crime carries an enhanced penalty, but adds, “It’s up to the Grand Jury to make this determination. All we do is process the evidence and turn the case over to the District Attorney, who in turn presents it to a Grand Jury. It’s within their discretion to add the hate crime enhancement.”

The case is still under investigation. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and state District Attorney’s Office both known about the ongoing investigation.

As I have written in previous posts, I was born, raised in, and lived for 39 years in Memphis, TN.  I now reside right across the state line (literally) in Southaven, MS, after former Mayor W.W. Herenton told middle class folks like myself that we were no longer welcome there.

I left out the aspect of race from the preceding paragraph as to not beat a dead horse, but racial division in this country is being used as a political tool in an attempt to “divide and conquer” (divide et impera) through a deliberate campaign strategy by Obama and his minions, reinforced by Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice.

In fact, today’s Liberals use Racism as both a sword and a shield.

As Americans witnessed last week in the town of Ferguson, Missouri, Liberals will shamelessly use any situation involving a perceived “Racial Act”, fact or fiction, to strengthen their ties with the Black Voting Bloc.

Additionally, if you attack Obama’s performance as President, or any other Liberal Black Leader’s performance, Liberals will deflect their incompetency, but claiming that you’re a RAAACIIIST!

AG Holder Goes to Ferguson to Get…err…Seek An Indictment…As the Real Truth Starts to Come Out

Ferguson MO8202014The “war-torn” city of Ferguson, Missouri has a new carpetbagger in town.

MSN News has the story…

Attorney General Eric Holder sought Wednesday to reassure the people of Ferguson about the investigation into Michael Brown’s death and said he understands why many black Americans do not trust police, recalling how he was repeatedly stopped by officers who seemed to target him because of his race.

Holder made the remarks during a visit to the St. Louis suburb that has endured more than a week of unrest fueled by the fatal shooting of the black 18-year-old by a white officer. The Obama administration intended the trip to underscore its commitment to civil rights in general and the Ferguson case in particular.

The attorney general remembered how he was stopped twice on the New Jersey Turnpike and accused of speeding. Police searched his car, going through the trunk and looking under the seats.

“I remember how humiliating that was and how angry I was and the impact it had on me,” Holder said during a private meeting with about 50 community leaders at the Florissant campus of St. Louis Community College.

Holder also met with federal officials investigating Michael Brown’s Aug. 9 death and with Brown’s parents.

While living in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, Holder was once running to catch a movie with his cousin when a squad car rolled up and flashed its lights at the pair. The officer yelled, “Where are you going? Hold it!” Holder recalled.

His cousin “started mouthing off,” and Holder urged him to be quiet.

“We negotiate the whole thing, and we walk to our movie. At the time that he stopped me, I was a federal prosecutor. I wasn’t a kid,” he said.

Holder also met briefly with Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, who has been in charge of security in the community for nearly a week since relieving Ferguson police. The National Guard has also been called in to help keep the peace.

Asked whether he had confidence in the local investigation of the police officer, Johnson said Holder’s presence “is a guarantee on that.”

In nearby Clayton, a grand jury began hearing evidence to determine whether the officer, Darren Wilson, should be charged in Brown’s death.

A spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch said there was no timeline for the process, but it could take weeks.

At the college, Holder told his audience that the most experienced agents and prosecutors would be assigned to the Ferguson investigation.

AG Holder sounds like a man on a purposeful mission, doesn’t he?

About the subject of the Attorney General’s “fact-finding” mission…it appears that Officer Vinson got the s!@t beat out of him.

Foxnews.com reports that

Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, a source close to the department’s top brass told FoxNews.com.

“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”
According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said.

“They ignored him and the officer started to get out of the car to tell them to move,” the source said. “They shoved him right back in, that’s when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and the face.”

The source claims that there is “solid proof” that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, “What, you’re going to shoot me?”

At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6-foot-4, 292-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown’s skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown’s family.

Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in the fracas, and was left dazed by the initial confrontation, the source said. He is now “traumatized, scared for his life and his family, injured and terrified” that a grand jury, which began hearing evidence on Wednesday, will “make some kind of example out of him,” the source said.

The source also said the dashboard and body cameras, which might have recorded crucial evidence, had been ordered by Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson, but had only recently arrived and had not yet been deployed.

A spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, citing the ongoing investigation, declined late Wednesday to say whether Wilson required medical treatment following the altercation.

I have watching in fascination…and disgust…as the situation in Ferguson, Missouri has devolved into some sort of bizarre rush to judgement, for the purpose of some kind of strange racial reparation.

You see, boys and girls, at this point in the Liberal fairy tale narrative of “Mike the Gentle Giant”, with all of the blood-thirsty Liberal Trolls, who have descended upon the town of Ferguson, publicly writhing in anticipation of a presumed guilty verdict in the trial of Officer Darren Vinson, anything less than a guilty verdict will not satisfy their blood lust.

That is why President Barack Hussein Obama sent Attorney General Eric Holder down to Ferguson. Holder is there to make sure that Officer Vinson in indicted in the “wrongful death” of “Gentle Giant” Michael Brown.

Obama Speaks on Ferguson Riots Before Returning to Martha’s Vineyard. Irony is Indignant

ObamaTransparentBranco852014Yesterday afternoon, at 4:00 p.m. Obama Standard Time, (meaning 30 – 45 minutes after any time zone he is speaking in), President Barack Hussein Obama strode up to the microphone, during a respite from his taxpayer-funded vacation with his family in Martha’s Vineyard, to deliver remarks about two ongoing situations which represent the failure of both his foreign and domestic policies…the situation regarding the insurgence of the Radical Muslims of ISIS into Iraq, after Obama declared that the Iraqi War was over, and the ongoing rioting, taking place in Ferguson, MO, over the shooting death of 18 year old strong-arm robbery subject Michael Brown, at the hands of a Ferguson Police Officer.

The following are excerpts from that speach, addressing the on-going, racially-charged chaos in Ferguson, MO…

(courtesy whitehouse.gov:)

The Justice Department has opened an independent federal civil rights investigation into the death of Michael Brown. They are on the ground and, along with the FBI, they are devoting substantial resources to that investigation. The Attorney General himself will be traveling to Ferguson on Wednesday to meet with the FBI agents and DOJ personnel conducting the federal criminal investigation, and he will receive an update from them on their progress. He will also be meeting with other leaders in the community whose support is so critical to bringing about peace and calm in Ferguson.

Ronald Davis, the Director of the DOJ’s Office of Community-Oriented Policing Services — or COPS — is also traveling to Ferguson tomorrow to work with police officials on the ground. We’ve also had experts from the DOJ’s Community Relations Service working in Ferguson since the days after the shooting to foster conversations among local stakeholders and reduce tensions among the community. As Americans, we’ve got to use this moment to seek out our shared humanity that’s been laid bare by this moment — the potential of a young man and the sorrows of parents, the frustrations of a community, the ideals that we hold as one united American family.

…I’ve said this before — in too many communities around the country, a gulf of mistrust exists between local residents and law enforcement. In too many communities, too many young men of color are left behind and seen only as objects of fear. Through initiatives like My Brother’s Keeper, I’m personally committed to changing both perception and reality. And already we’re making some significant progress as people of goodwill of all races are ready to chip in. But that requires that we build and not tear down. And that requires we listen and not just shout. That’s how we’re going to move forward together, by trying to unite each other and understand each other, and not simply divide ourselves from one another. We’re going to have to hold tight to those values in the days ahead. That’s how we bring about justice, and that’s how we bring about peace.

One Fox News Contributor was not very impressed with Obama’s response to the Ferguson Riots.

Charles Krauthammer on Monday criticized President Obama’s response to the violence that has occurred at the protests in Ferguson, saying on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that “we’re a democratic society, you don’t do that.”

The St. Louis suburb has been in a state of turmoil after the fatal police shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, with protests at times turning violent and stores being looted. President Obama’s statement on Monday addressed both sides of the conflict in Ferguson- the looters and police force.

Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and a Fox News contributor, said Obama should have gone further in condemning the violence.

“He said, you know, if you riot and use guns and attack the police it serves only to raise attention and stir chaos,” he said. “Well that’s an instrumental way of criticizing it, you’re not going to achieve your goals. What he should be saying is that it’s wrong. We’re a democratic society you don’t do that.”

Krauthammer said he would like to see Obama ringingly condemn the violence, saying it is clear those perpetuating violence in the city are in the wrong.

“We really have the law on the one hand. We rioters on the other. It isn’t a hard choice between them,” he said.

Evidently, Dr. Krauthammer, that easy choice, which the overwhelming majority of law-abiding Americans would state without hesitation, is too difficult a choice for our “first Post-Racial President” to make.

Burned twice in the past, by his distinctly un-Presidential defenses of Cambridge Professor, Henry Louis Gates, Jr.and the death of robbery suspect, Trayvon, Obama is trying desperately to not seem so racially-divisive…but, he just can’t help himself.

With his didactic tone, which he no doubt used as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Chicago, Obama attempted yesterday to make it seem to the American People, that he was unbiased regarding the situation, while all the while, seeking to assure his Black American Liberal Voting Base, that he was still “down with the struggle”.

How can Obama be “fightin’ The Man” when HE IS “THE MAN”?

As I am putting the finishing touches on today’s post, the news is reporting that the high school in Memphis from which I graduated is having gang problems. 19 year olds are dressing as students and raping young girls.

Meanwhile, meetings are being held downtown by the City Administration on the subject of the ongoing Gang Violence Problems.

If Obama truly cared about young(and old) Black Americans, he would tackle the forbidden (by Liberals) subject of Black-On-Black Crime, especially the out-of-control Violent Crime Problem.

If Obama was being honest about the Ferguson Situation, he would have addressed the video, which showed Michael Brown and some of his homies stealing cigars from a local convenience store, and bullying the owner, just so they could put marijuana in them, and smoke their “blunts”.

Perhaps, when AG Holder is in Ferguson today, he will speak to the Black guy on the eyewitness video, presently on Youtube, whose story corroborates that of the police officer Michael charged at, like a 6’$”, 250 lb., stoned bull.

He probably won’t. It would ruin the narrative.

Remember, this is the same Attorney General of the United States who refused to prosecute the two Black Panthers who were intimidating White people at the Cleveland Voting Precinct, during the 2008 Presidential Elections.

Meanwhile, as Obama was attempting to be “authentic”, I’m sure that Mooch was having her fourth lobster at her late lunch/early dinner at some posh restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard.

Were these attempts by a Former Community Organizer to appear unbiased, hypocritical? You betcha. In fact, as I tweeted yesterday, the President’s Speech was an example of…

Irony: A Black President talking about Black men being left behind,  as he gets ready to return to Martha’s Vineyard.  #tcot #KJ #Ferguson

Obama and the Ferguson Riots: Community-Organizing By Remote Control

ObamaFiddling8142014Yesterday, the President interrupted his taxpayer-funded vacation of Martha’s Vineyard to make a couple of remarks concerning the situation in Iraq and Ferguson, Missouri.

Concerning the situation in Ferguson, he said,

…Of course, it’s important to remember how this started.  We lost a young man, Michael Brown, in heartbreaking and tragic circumstances.  He was 18 years old.  His family will never hold Michael in their arms again.  And when something like this happens, the local authorities –- including the police -– have a responsibility to be open and transparent about how they are investigating that death, and how they are protecting the people in their communities.

“There is never an excuse for violence against police, or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting,” the President said. He added, however, that “there’s also no excuse for police to use excessive force against peaceful protests, or to throw protestors in jail for lawfully exercising their First Amendment rights.”

Here, in the United States of America, police should not be bullying or arresting journalists who are just trying to do their jobs and report to the American people on what they see on the ground.  Put simply, we all need to hold ourselves to a high standard, particularly those of us in positions of authority.
“I know that emotions are raw right now in Ferguson,” he said, “and there are certainly passionate differences about what has happened.” He added that even though there will be differences in both the accounts of how this event occurred, as well as what needs to happen going forward, we should still “remember that we’re all part of one American family.”

We are united in common values, and that includes belief in equality under the law; a basic respect for public order and the right to peaceful public protest; a reverence for the dignity of every single man, woman and child among us; and the need for accountability when it comes to our government.
“Now is the time for healing,” the President said. “Now is the time for peace and calm on the streets of Ferguson. Now is the time for an open and transparent process to see that justice is done.”

President Obama received a little constructive criticism,  according to thehill.com

The executive director of the Fraternal Order of Police criticized President Obama Thursday for his remarks about law enforcement in Ferguson, Mo.

“I would contend that discussing police tactics from Martha’s Vineyard is not helpful to ultimately calming the situation,” director Jim Pasco said in an interview with The Hill.

“I think what he has to do as president and as a constitutional lawyer is remember that there is a process in the United States and the process is being followed, for good or for ill, by the police and by the county and by the city and by the prosecutors’ office,” Pasco added.

Pasco harkened back to 2009, when Obama criticized a Massachusetts police officer for arresting Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, when he was attempting to break into his own home. Obama said the officer had “acted stupidly.”

“That is one where the president spoke precipitously without all the facts,” Pasco said, adding that the current situation “is a much larger and more tragic incident.”

Pasco said both police and members of the public are entitled to due process but said he is not convinced police have used excessive force in Ferguson.

“I’m not there, and neither is the president,” Pasco said. “That is why we have due process in the United States. And this will all be sorted out over time. But right now, I haven’t seen anything from afar — and maybe the president has — that would lead me to believe the police are doing anything except to restore order.”

Obama on Thursday called for “peace and calm on the streets” of Ferguson after “disturbing” clashes between police and protesters stemming from the police killing of an unarmed black teenager.

“There is never an excuse for violence against police or for those who would use this tragedy as a cover for vandalism or looting,” Obama said in a statement from where he is vacationing in Massachusetts. “There’s also no excuse for police to use excessive force against peaceful protests or to throw protesters in jail for lawfully exercising their First Amendment rights.”

The officer involved in the Ferguson shooting is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and is being represented by one of its lawyers. His name has not been released to the public.

Pasco declined to comment on whether Ferguson police should be withholding the officer’s name.

“I would leave any statements on that to his defense,” he said.

Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) views everything in terms of race. He always has, since the days when he lived with his “typical white person” grandmother, next door to Black Communist, Frank Marshall Davis.

So, his choice for a first job was a no-brainer…

From 1985 – 1988, Obama was a Community Organizer in Chicago.  What does a Community Organizer do?  I’m glad you asked.

Per Byron York in an article found at nationalreview.com:

Community organizing is most identified with the left-wing Chicago activist Saul Alinsky (1909-72), who pretty much defined the profession. In his classic book, Rules for Radicals, Alinsky wrote that a successful organizer should be “an abrasive agent to rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; to fan latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expressions.” Once such hostilities were “whipped up to a fighting pitch,” Alinsky continued, the organizer steered his group toward confrontation, in the form of picketing, demonstrating, and general hell-raising.

Obama was hired by Jerry Kellman, a New Yorker who had gotten into organizing in the 1960s.  Kellman was trying to help laid-off factory workers on the far South Side of Chicago, in a nearly 100% black community.   He led a group, the Calumet Community Religious Conference, that had been created by several local Catholic churches in the industrial community.   Kellman was advised to hire a black organizer for a new spinoff from CCRC.  They called it the Developing Communities Project, designed to focus solely on the Chicago part of the area.

One of Obama’s projects while he was there, was to try to build an alliance of white and black churches and enlist them in the cause of social justice.  Obama had a problem, though.   He didn’t go to church himself.   And that, brothers and sisters, is how Obama, drawn to the preaching of Rev. Jeremiah Wright (and a political opportunity), joined Trinity United Church of Christ on 95th Street.

If you ask Obama’s fellow Community Organizers what his most significant accomplishments were, they’ll say two things: the expansion of a city summer-job program for South Side teenagers and the removal of asbestos from one of the area’s oldest housing projects.   Those  were his biggest victories.

As President of these United States, Obama is supposed to represent all of us. However, time and time again, he has inserted himself and, subsequently, his Department of Justice, have acted, at his bequest, in shall we say, a ‘political” manner, whenever race was involved.

The death of Michael Brown and the subsequent rioting, by Ferguson’s black residents and out-of-towners, will, no doubt, be handled in the same fashion

As Peter (Herman) Noone sings,

Second Verse…same as the first.

And, that’s not only sad…it’s divisive.
