Even in the Middle of the Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic, Dems’ TDS Remains Their Top Priority

06-wuhan-li-600a

FoxNews.com reports that

Former aides to high-ranking Democratic politicians are joining a so-called “coronavirus war room” in order to attack President Trump’s response to the pandemic.

Protect Our Care — a nonprofit tied to liberal dark money groups — announced the war room on Thursday, with the group’s leader accusing Trump of exacerbating the pandemic. Heading the war room is Zac Petkanas, a former adviser to Hillary Clinton and former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Sarah Chase, a former research associate for the presidential campaign of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is joining the team as well.

Patrick Devlin, former Communications Director for Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., will serve as an adviser to the war room as well. War rooms are generally set up within political organizations to provide rapid response to the media cycle.

“This team has a wealth of know-how, experience and expertise and with the coronavirus crisis, which has been exacerbated by President Trump’s failure to prepare, we need the best in the business working on advocacy efforts to hold President Trump accountable for his failure to lead,” said Brad Woodhouse, Protect Our Care’s executive director.

Protect Our Care has been tied to “dark money” organizations like Arabella Advisors, which backs other groups attacking the president over the coronavirus response.

Specifically, it houses the New Venture Fund and Sixteen Thirty Fund, both of which support another Democrat-aligned group — American Bridge — that’s been preparing an ad hitting Trump on the coronavirus.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that Pacronym is planning to spend $5 million on ads attacking Trump’s response to the pandemic. That PAC is affiliated with the New Venture Fund and Acronym, whose board includes former Obama adviser David Plouffe. The ads will target five swing states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Arizona) and run on major digital platforms like Facebook.

Protect our Care, which is a project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, has also been running an ad against Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., reportedly tying his opposition to ObamaCare to the coronavirus.

On Thursday, Twitter declined to flag another ad attacking Trump’s coronavirus response.

The Trump campaign alleges that the ad replayed Trump saying the coronavirus was Democrats’ latest “hoax” without supplying the proper context. Twitter reportedly refused the campaign’s request to flag the ad as “manipulated media,” indicating it met the site’s guidelines.

“Fellow Americans,” a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, ran the ad but it’s unclear where the group originated. Its website is relatively sparse and vaguely refers to opposing political division in the United States.

I don’t know about you, gentle readers, but I view the actions of these Far Left cowardly, whiny, anti-American, seditious, traitorous, Liberal Democrats and their allies on Capitol Hill and in the Main Stream Media as being absolutely reprehensible.

There are Americans dying and losing their jobs because of a virus originating from a Communist country who wants to wipe us off the face of the Earth and these oblivious idiots are actually defending them, proclaiming that it is racist to identify the coronavirus as coming from China!

Are you kidding me?

Trump could wave his hand and part the Potomac River and these idiots would say that he did not spread the waters far enough apart.

I’m sitting here on Thursday night tired from my actual job and these ungrateful bozos have finally tweaked my last nerve.

Their reckless behavior is directly responsible for the hoarding of meat, bread, milk, cleaning products, and, yes, toilet paper to the point to where grocery stores like Walmart and Kroger are having to have security escort the pallets of toilet paper to the aisle and stand there so that the stockers can actually get the product on the shelves without a riot ensuing.

Grocery stores are setting up special hours for our Seniors to shop so that they can get what they need without being jostled and having to be nervous while they are shopping.

From this average American’s viewpoint, President Trump and his taskforce are doing a good job in a difficult situation.

The time for partisan politics flew out the window back in January when the President had the foresight to block travel to and from China and was called a racist by the idiots mentioned above for doing it.

However, the TDS-driven Democrats were too busy attempting to impeach the President over nothing impeachable.

The Democratic Party’s priorities are so out of touch with those of average Americans that to call them tone deaf would be the biggest understatement in history.

I have a suggestion for all of you Liberal Democrats out there who are still defending China:

If you wish to continue to take Communist China’s side against America, if will be far easier for you to do so if you just go ahead and move there.

You won’t be missed.

Oh, and before you leave, when you receive your Conoravirus Stimulus Check in the mail, please write on it “RETURN TO SENDER” and put it back in the mailbox.

After all, you noble Liberal Democrats, “the smartest people in the room”, wouldn’t want to be seen as a bunch of hypocrites, would you?

Oh, never mind…you already are.

Trump Proposes $1 Trillion Coronavirus Package Which Includes 2 Rounds of Direct Cash Payments to Americans

trump-white-house-messy-desk

FoxNews.com reports that

The White House is moving forward with a proposed $1 trillion coronavirus package that would infuse Americans’ bank accounts with two rounds of direct cash payments.

The Trump administration is seeking $250 billion in payments to Americans starting April 6, followed by another $250 billion cash payment round beginning May 18, according to the working draft of the plan obtained by Fox Business Network.

The two payments to taxpayers would be identical and the amounts would vary by family income and size, according to the Treasury Department document on the “Stage Three” coronavirus proposal.

The Washington Post first reported the document.

The draft of the plan outlines a major economic infusion that goes well beyond the stimulus and bailout plans during the last financial crisis and designed to prop up an economy that has ground to a halt as stores and restaurants and schools are shuttering nationwide and families are isolating at home.

The Trump administration’s stimulus package is bigger than the 2008 bank bailout, and the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which was passed and signed under former President Barack Obama and totaled $787 billion to help stabilize the economy about 14 months after the last recession began.

Congress and President Trump already approved an $8.3 billion package to prop up the health care system to respond to the pandemic. The Senate Wednesday sent another bill to Trump’s desk to give 14 paid sick days to workers, boost unemployment insurance, make coronavirus testing free and increase food assistance during the crisis; Trump signed it into law hours later.

But, all sides have agreed that the government needed to pass a third round of stimulus as soon as possible to help small businesses stay afloat, aid workers who have lost jobs and give the economy a jolt as American consumers nationwide have been stuck home.

The administration’s working plan amounts to $1 trillion on paper. It would provide $50 billion for lending to the airline industry, which has drastically reduced flights due to travel bans and social distancing. The proposal would require “limits on increases in executive pay” until the loans are repaid.

The proposal calls for $150 billion to “other severely distressed sectors of the U.S. economy” through secured lending or loan guarantees.

Trump signaled Wednesday that airlines, cruise ships and hotel industries are all “prime candidates” for support.

The Trump administration also wants $300 billion to help small businesses, which have suffered under social isolation and various cities banning dine-in services at bars and restaurants in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The administration would create a “small business interruption loan program” targeted at businesses with fewer than 500 employees that would cover six weeks of payroll. The amount for each employee’s wages would be capped at $1,540 per week, or about $80,000 a year.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has taken the lead on negotiations with Congress on the coronavirus response. He worked closely with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on developing the paid sick days and emergency leave program. Now the third round of legislation is being developed with GOP senators.

The negotiations are ongoing, and Trump administration officials cautioned the plan is fast-moving and in flux.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said the Senate won’t recess until a third-round proposal is passed. Then it would head to the House for approval.

Yesterday, the reaction to this good news by the Liberals on Social Media absolutely blew my mind.

Although, I should have expected it.

Instead of being grateful that President Trump was attempting to do something to help average Americans who are being economically affected by the Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic, the Liberals on Social Media started proclaiming that the emergency payments to taxpayers were a form of socialism and that we were all hypocrites, including the President.

First, this emergency relief is NOT socialism.

Marxist Governments NEVER give any money back to the Proletariat.

All of the funds which come into the Politboro stay there, growing the Central Government and making the politicians rich while the Proletariat continues to suffer.

Second, for all of the griping, complaining, incessant criticism, and personal attacks which Modern American Liberals have been bombarding Trump with since his Presidential Campaign, you had better believe that none of them, or the “True Conservative” Never-Trumpers will send any money that they receive back to the Administration.

Every move which President Trump and his Taskforce Members have made during the crisis has been second-guessed and criticized by the usual suspects, who care more about harming the President than they do about the health and well-being of their fellow Americans.

Years ago, when John Calipari, the coach of the University of Kentucky Basketball Team was the coach at my alma mater, the University of Memphis, he called those who continuously criticized his program, the Miserables.

Calipari eventually wound up screwing the U of M’s Basketball Program and splitting to Kentucky, but that’s another story.

These Liberals , just like the Far Left Democrats in Congress, are going to remain miserable for as long at President Trump remains in office.

And, they are going to keep attacking him, being as annoying as Randy Quaid’s Cleveland Indians Fan was in “Major League 2”.

Personally, I am thankful that we have a President who is trying to do his job to the best of his abilities while placing the priorities of America and her citizens above everything and everybody else.

We are going to make it through the Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic.

DHS Considering Plan to Turn Away Asylum Seekers and Illegals From Southern Border Due to Coronavirus

Trump-national.emergency-1024x536

“Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake
“I saved you,” cried the woman
“And you’ve bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die”
“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in – “The Snake”, Al Wilson

FoxNews.com reports that

Fox News has learned that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is considering a plan that would turn away asylum seekers and anyone who has crossed the southern border illegally, in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The idea is currently being developed by DHS staff, but there is still more work to do to be done, before it’s presented to President Trump for a final decision.

A DHS spokesperson told Fox News that the president has the authority to do whatever is necessary to protect the American public from this potentially deadly disease.

“President Trump is 100 percent committed to protecting the American people from coronavirus and all options are in the table,” the official said.

Trump has long been a strong proponent of stronger border security and has favored a targeted approach to limiting illegal immigration.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) falls under DHS and would be subject to carry out the directive if it were approved.

This news comes after the European Union (EU) chose to close the bloc’s borders to most foreigners, on Tuesday.

The ban is expected to last for at least 30 days, with citizens of the United Kingdom, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland likely being exempt.

Considering that those who cross our Southern Border illegally are, in fact, breaking our laws by doing so, I have no problem with escorting them immediately back across the border to Mexico.

Over the past couple of decades, a lot of American Taxpayer money has been spent taking care of illegals, both minors and adults, who have entered our country carrying disease with them.

Back in 2015, Former President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm) allowed a lot of illegal minors carrying infectious diseases like measles to cross our borders.

Obama then spirited the minors away to military bases across the country from where they would be inserted into American communities.

At the time, the Oxford Journals reported that

Risk factors for these infections include limited access to safe food and water, overcrowding, poor nutrition, and exposure to insect vectors. The infections noted in immigrants from Latin America partly reflect these exposures. For example, fecal contamination is common and results in an increased risk for enteric infections. Animal husbandry practices are less safe in Latin America than in the United States, and meat products are often sold informally without screening for parasites having been done. Milk products may not be pasteurized. Overcrowding and poor nutrition may amplify transmission of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other respiratory pathogens. These exposures may continue after immigration to the United States.

A number of diseases that are common in Latin America are rarely diagnosed in the United States. Diarrhea due to toxigenic Escherichia coli is common among residents of and travelers to Latin America. However, toxigenic E. coli diarrhea is rarely recognized in immigrants because of the short incubation period and the limited duration of the illness. Chagas’ disease is rarely diagnosed in immigrants. This may reflect the low prevalence of Chagas’ disease in Mexico, the birthplace of most immigrants to the United States. Confusion of Chagas’ disease with other causes of heart disease is a problem. It is also possible that, because of the long period when individuals with Chagas’ disease are asymptomatic, the number of cases diagnosed may increase with time. Hansen’s disease (formerly known as leprosy) is endemic in Latin America. Although it has a characteristic presentation (hypoesthesia and skin lesions), its incidence is very low in Mexico and Central America, and the disease is uncommon in Latin American immigrants.

Now, consider, if you will, the pestilence of Latin America serving as an incubator for the Chinese Coronavirus, a virtual stewpot of pestilence which will fortify and intensify the virus itself until it comes across our border being transported by unsuspecting illegal aliens.

I fully support closing our Southern Border.

Being caring and compassionate is one thing.

Willingly allowing Pestilence, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, into America is another thing entirely.

And, it is a very stupid idea.

Trump Announces New Coronavirus Safety Guidelines, “Our Government is Prepared to Do Whatever It Takes”

1280px-President_Trump_Vice_President_Pence_and_Members_of_the_Coronavirus_Task_Force_Brief_the_Press_49646174161

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump announced on Monday a set of guidelines that he said Americans should follow to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus — despite admitting that the pandemic could stretch into July or August.

Speaking during a briefing of the coronavirus task force, Trump outlined a plan to slow the spread of COVID-19 in 15 days.

“With several weeks of focused action, we can turn the corner and turn it quickly,” Trump said. “Our government is prepared to do whatever it takes.”

At another point during the news conference, asked if the U.S. was headed into a recession, Trump replied: “Well, it may be.” But then, he said, “We’re not thinking in terms of recession, we’re thinking in terms of the virus.”

The guidelines advised that older people and those with underlying health conditions “stay home and away from other people.”

Officials recommended that large swaths of the population isolate themselves and everyone avoid social gatherings or groups of more than 10 people.

They also said Americans should work from home if possible; avoid eating or drinking in bars and restaurants; and “avoid discretionary travel, shopping trips, and social visits.”

When asked when the pandemic would subside, Trump said that “if we do a really good job,” the crisis could pass by July or August, a far less optimistic take than in his earlier predictions that it could be over within weeks.

“We will rally together as one nation and we will defeat the virus,” he added.

Trump’s comments came as Ohio’s governor announced his recommendation to delay the state’s primary election until June amid the outbreak. The president said that while the state’s whose presidential primary elections are being very careful, he thinks postponing elections are “unnecessary.”

“Postponing is not a very good thing,” he said. “I think postponing is unnecessary.”

The coronavirus pandemic has infected over 169,000 people and killed over 6,500. The COVID-19 illness has caused mild or moderate symptoms for most patients, but severe symptoms have been more likely in the elderly or people with existing health problems. More than 77,000 people have recovered from it so far, mostly in China.

The U.S. surgeon general said Monday that the United States was about where Italy was two weeks ago in the coronavirus struggle, a sign that infections were expected to rise.

“We are at a critical inflection point in this country, people,” Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams told Fox News. “When you look at the projections, there’s every chance that we could be Italy.” Still, he said the U.S. had opportunities to mitigate the pandemic.

On Fox News, Adams claimed the U.S. had “turned the tide” on testing, a critical part of tracking and containing pandemics, but whether that was true remained to be seen.

The U.S. effort has been hobbled by a series of missteps, including flaws with the testing kits first distributed by the federal government and bureaucratic hurdles that held up testing by private laboratories. But, Trump, who has been sharply criticized for underplaying the severity of the crisis, stuck to his optimistic tone about the nation’s response.

“Everybody is so well unified and working so hard,” he tweeted. “It is a beautiful thing to see.”

I, for one, appreciate all of the hard work which President Trump, Vice-President Pence and the Coronavirus Task Force have done and are doing in their attempt to lessen the severity of this crisis which we are experiencing.

As I have been writing, this all seems very surreal to me, like something out of a bad Outer Limits episode.

However, unfortunately, it is very real.

Perhaps this is a test or perhaps this is an opportunity which has been laid before us.

A former pastor of mine posted on Facebook that God is forcing the Church to going out among the people.

While we are all supposed to let our light shines as examples of His love, it is difficult to do it in today’s coarse, hurried, and selfish world.

The president called on Americans to stop hoarding supplies so that they may be readily available for others, who are not physically able to go ripping and running through the local Walmart, scooping up all of the toilet paper, disinfectant, etc.

As Christian Americans, or, if you are not a follower of Christ, simply out of compassion for others, please let our older friends and neighbors break in line at the cash register in front of you. They are, in many cases, feeble and afraid, and a simple act of kindness will mean the world to them and will allow them to get back to the safety of their home in a faster manner.

There is absolutely no reason to be hoarding anything. Toilet paper is produced in America, not China.

And, if you are hoarding toilet paper because of a pandemic caused by an upper respiratory virus, you’re concentrating on wiping the wrong end.

President Trump is right.

Americans have always stood together in times of crisis.

My late parents’ generation was called “The Greatest” because of the way that they sacrificed to defeat fascism around the globe during World War II while winning the “war at home”.

Judging from a lot of the behavior I have been seeing in the retail and grocery stores during the Coronavirus Crisis, there are members of this present generation who couldn’t fight their way out of a cage constructed of toilet paper.

This is our nation’s opportunity to pull together as Americans, to take care of one another as our parents and grandparents did before us.

This is not the time for petty politics.

This is the time, just like the day after September 11, 2001, for Americans to unite and stand together as one against a common enemy.

LET’S ROLL!

GOD’S GOT THIS!!!

Trump Attempts to Calm Fears, Is What We’re Experiencing Being Encouraged by “Enemies Foreign and Domestic”?

1800x1200_coronavirus_1

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump told Americans on Sunday that “there’s no need to hoard” supplies, amid concerns of potential food or supply shortages as more states and cities announced restrictions to contain the coronavirus.

The president said during a White House briefing after speaking with heads of food suppliers: “You don’t have to buy so much, take it easy, just relax.”

Trump added: “We’re doing great, it all will pass.”

Trump assured Americans that grocers would remain open and that the supply chain remained healthy. Vice President Mike Pence urged Americans to buy only the groceries they needed for the week ahead.

The Federal Reserve took emergency action Sunday to help the economy withstand the coronavirus by slashing its benchmark interest rate to near zero and saying it would buy $700 billion in Treasury and mortgage bonds. The Fed’s surprise announcement signaled its concern that the viral outbreak will depress economic growth in the coming months and that it is prepared to do whatever it can counter the risks.

The president saluted the move.

“It’s a big step, I am very happy they did it,” said Trump during the press conference. “It brings us in line with other countries,” he said, referring the Fed cutting rates to near zero in a historic move in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

“There are a lot of people on Wall Street that are very happy,” Trump noted, adding that he would ease up on his criticism of the Fed and Chairman Jerome Powell.

The virus has an incubation period of anywhere from two days to 14 days before symptoms emerge. The death toll in the United States is more than 50.

The number of coronavirus cases in the United States is now more than 3,100 across 49 states on Sunday, The New York Times reported.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia. The worldwide outbreak has sickened more than 156,000 people and left more than 5,800 dead.

The vast majority of people recover. According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe illness may take three weeks to six weeks to recover.

The surge of coronavirus cases throughout the United States and around the globe has brought the world to a practical standstill.

Life in the United States has dramatically changed in just a week.

From work to entertainment to even worship, several aspects of American life have been reordered as health officials encourage the public to carry out “social distancing” to prevent the spread of the infection.

Trump has suggested that restrictions on travel within the U.S. to areas hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic could be next.

On Sunday afternoon, New York City announced that its public school system, the largest of its kind in the nation, would close for the time being.

Travelers returning to the U.S. after the Trump administration imposed a wide-ranging ban on people entering from Europe faced waiting times lasting hours for medical screenings. Images on social media showed packed arrival halls and winding lines.

As I sit down to write on this Sunday night, the governors of Illinois and Ohio and considering closing down restaurants, leaving them open for take-home traffic only.

Walmarts across several states are closing from 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. in order to be able to restock their shelves.

In my hometown of Memphis, the mayor has closed the public libraries and the Senior Centers.

Our county school system in Northwest Mississippi, in which my wife works as a Special Education Teaching Assistant, has decided to remain closed this week after having last week off for Spring Break. The good news is that all of the hourly employees will be paid.

And, yesterday, churches across the country opted to go live on line from empty sanctuaries rather than risk exposing their members to the virus.

As I was sitting in my recliner yesterday morning, before my wife got up, I noticed that eerie sort of glow outside, kind of yellowish, as a result of a gloomy overcast day.

The ambience it created and my own thoughts about the crisis which we as country are experiencing, made me feel as if I was in the middle of a bad Outer Limits episode.

This entire situation could not have turned out better for the internal and external enemies of our Sovereign Nation and the freedom of the individual which it represents.

The shutting down of Houses of Worship and the restrictions being placed on the everyday freedoms which we normally enjoy as American Citizens are like something out of a totalitarian nightmare.

Now, I fully support what the President and the learned members of the Coronavirus Taskforce are doing in order to minimize the effect that this modern day plague will have on our country.

However, after watching the ongoing toilet paper hoarding insanity at my local Walmart, and all of the chaos and disruption which we are witnessing throughout America, I am beginning to believe that what we might be dealing with is the accidental (I hope) release of a Chinese bioweapon.

You have got to know that the Chinese are seriously ticked off that President Trump refuses to allow them to run over us economically as they have in the past.

That’s what may be happening externally.

Internally, we have already witnessed Nancy Pelosi attempt to stick Abortion Funding in the Coronavirus Stimulus Bill.

How easy would it be during this crisis for Democratic Politicians on the local, state, and national level to intentionally tank the economy in order to damage President Trump so that one of the two losers they have as potential Presidential Candidates, Biden and Sanders, might have a better chance to win in November?

If you do not believe that the Democrats would intentionally harm our country for the sake of political expediency, you have not been paying attention for the last three years.

Now, I may be just spitballin’ about the situation which our Sovereign Nation finds itself in.

However, I do know one thing for certain with all of my heart:

GOD’S GOT THIS!!!

Until He Comes,

KJ

President Trump Declares Today a National Day of Prayer…Why We Should Pray for America

Open Bible on American Flag

“The Constitution was never meant to prevent people from praying; its declared purpose was to protect their freedom to pray.” – President Ronald Reagan, 9/15/1982

Yesterday, the 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, issued the following proclamation in response to our Sovereign Nation’s health crisis involving the coronavirus pandemic.

In our times of greatest need, Americans have always turned to prayer to help guide us through trials and periods of uncertainty. As we continue to face the unique challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Americans are unable to gather in their churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship. But in this time we must not cease asking God for added wisdom, comfort, and strength, and we must especially pray for those who have suffered harm or who have lost loved ones. I ask you to join me in a day of prayer for all people who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and to pray for God’s healing hand to be placed on the people of our Nation.

As your President, I ask you to pray for the health and well-being of your fellow Americans and to remember that no problem is too big for God to handle. We should all take to heart the holy words found in 1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.” Let us pray that all those affected by the virus will feel the presence of our Lord’s protection and love during this time. With God’s help, we will overcome this threat.

On Friday, I declared a national emergency and took other bold actions to help deploy the full power of the Federal Government to assist with efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. I now encourage all Americans to pray for those on the front lines of the response, especially our Nation’s outstanding medical professionals and public health officials who are working tirelessly to protect all of us from the coronavirus and treat patients who are infected; all of our courageous first responders, National Guard, and dedicated individuals who are working to ensure the health and safety of our communities; and our Federal, State, and local leaders. We are confident that He will provide them with the wisdom they need to make difficult decisions and take decisive actions to protect Americans all across the country. As we come to our Father in prayer, we remember the words found in Psalm 91: “He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

As we unite in prayer, we are reminded that there is no burden too heavy for God to lift or for this country to bear with His help. Luke 1:37 promises that “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” and those words are just as true today as they have ever been. As one Nation under God, we are greater than the hardships we face, and through prayer and acts of compassion and love, we will rise to this challenge and emerge stronger and more united than ever before. May God bless each of you, and may God bless the United States of America.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 15, 2020, as a National Day of Prayer for All Americans Affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic and for our National Response Efforts. I urge Americans of all faiths and religious traditions and backgrounds to offer prayers for all those affected, including people who have suffered harm or lost loved ones.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fourth.

DONALD J. TRUMP

Right now, some you may be asking yourselves, “What good is saying a prayer going to do when it seems as if our country is on the verge of going off its hinges?”

Prayer can move mountains.

It can bring hope to what seems to be a hopeless situation.

It can soothe pain.

It can bring joy.

Prayer opens up a direct line of communication between man and his Creator.

It allows the fallen to seek reconciliation.

It allows the faithful to renew their faith.

It can bring forgiveness, healing, and restoration.

Prayer changes things.

As both individuals and as “One Nation Under God”, we are always “standing in the need of prayer”, whether we know it or not.

Perhaps this moment in time, as fearful Americans strip clean the toilet paper aisles of their local Walmart, may serve as a focal point through which to bring America back to the values upon which she was founded and the Solid Rock upon which we are standing and relying upon in this moment of crisis.

To pray to the One Who Made Us is a simple yet powerful thing.

It requires no special machinery, no mighty orator standing on a street corner for all to hear.

All you need is a quiet place and a seeking and open heart willing to listen to what the Creator has to say to you.

Now is the time for Americans to use the mightiest weapon we have at our disposal with which to fight for our county.

It has been used by those before us in times of peril to ensure our nation’s future.

Now, that mantle has been passed to us.

The Great Communicator, President Ronald Reagan, said that

The First Continental Congress made its first act a prayer, the beginning of a great tradition. We have then a lesson from the founders of our land. That lesson is clear: That in the winning of freedom and in the living of life, the first step is prayer.

All these centuries later, facing such a crucial moment in our Sovereign Nation’s history, we can do no less.

God Bless America.

Until He Comes,

Trump Announces Support for Coronavirus Response Package Negotiated by Pelosi and Mnuchin

190722-2x1-nancy-pelosi-steve-mnuchin-ew-1204p_1895c6ddd714d6f0f4ced7242e4a3468.fit-760w

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump said Friday night that he supported a coronavirusresponse package negotiated by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in an apparent effort to get skeptical House Republicans on board with the legislation.

“I fully support H.R. 6201: Families First CoronaVirus Response Act, which will be voted on in the House this evening,” Trump tweeted. “This Bill will follow my direction for free CoronaVirus tests, and paid sick leave for our impacted American workers …”

“I encourage all Republicans and Democrats to come together and VOTE YES!” Trump later added. “I will always put the health and well-being of Americans FIRST. Look forward to signing the final bill, ASAP!”

Pelosi intially informed colleagues of a deal with the Trump administration at around 6 p.m. ET. “We are proud to have reached an agreement with the administration to resolve outstanding challenges, and now will soon pass the Families First Coronavirus Response Act,” the California Democrat said in a letter.

However, Fox News later learned that Mnuchin had not yet signed off on the pact.

Shortly before 8 p.m. ET, Mnuchin told Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight”: “We have an agreement that reflects what the president talked about in his speech the other [Wednesday] night. He’s very focused on making sure that we can deal with the coronavirus, that people who have to be home quarantined — that hard-working Americans don’t lose their compensation because they have to be home quarantined.

“Obviously we expect the bigger corporations to pick up these costs,” Mnuchin added, “and we also want to make sure that people can get free testing. The president wants lots of testing. One of the things the market responded very positively to was [that] the president has made just enormous progress with all these big companies coming in and saying that there’s testing.”

The apparent problems caught Democrats by surprise: House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said “we thought we had an agreement,” adding: “I want to vote tonight.”

Fox News is told the major objection to the bill from House Republicans has been extraneous matters House Democrats kept trying to include in the coronavirus package.

The timing of a potential Friday night vote was not clear. Shortly before 10 p.m., Pelosi informed her Democratic caucus that the “process has taken some time,” adding that “language incorporating the last details into the text is currently being written and should be completed soon.”

Sources told Fox that if the measure passes the House with an overwhelming majority, the Senate will take it up next week.

Earlier Friday, President Trump declared a national emergency over the coronavirus outbreak and announced partnerships with major U.S. companies to expand testing capabilities.

“This legislation is about testing, testing, testing,” Pelosi said. “To stop the spread of the virus, we have secured free coronavirus testing for everyone who needs a test, including the uninsured. We cannot fight coronavirus effectively unless everyone in our country who needs to be tested can get their test free of charge.”

According to Pelosi, the bill includes paid emergency leave with two weeks of paid sick leave and up to three months of paid family and medical leave. “We have also secured enhanced unemployment insurance, a step that will extend protections to furloughed workers,” she said.

Pelosi also said the bill will include nutrition security initiatives “including SNAP, student meals, seniors’ nutrition and food banks.” The Democrat said “22 million children rely on free or reduced-price school meals for their food security; we must ensure that they have food to eat.”

She also said the bill will include increased federal funds for Medicaid to support local, state, tribal and territorial governments and health systems “so that they have the resources necessary to combat this crisis.”

The revisions to the Democratic bill happened after the GOP flagged “major” concerns about the sick leave legislation on Thursday. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., criticized the initial legislation for creating a paid sick leave program through the Social Security Administration that he said would take six months to set up and hamper the agency’s normal functioning of disbursing checks to senior citizens.

He also objected to forcing permanent paid sick leave “for all businesses without exemptions and no sunsets,” McCarthy said.

Late Friday, McCarthy told reporters the bill “had some things which needed to be cleaned up.”

“This is a really good sign that shows bipartisanship, that we can overcome this virus,” he said. ” … It was very important to get this done before anybody departed.”

Trump had pressed for a payroll tax holiday to give some economic relief to Americans, but Pelosi has not included that in this bill, though she’s signaled more legislation could be needed as the scope and hurt of the pandemic is fully realized.

As I wrote yesterday, the “problems” being referred to in the above article include a funding for abortion package designed to “get around” the Hyde Amendment.

Pelosi got caught slipping in in the Coronavirus Stimulus Bill and evidently her and her fellow travelers are still, as of 9:15 p.m. Central Time, still trying to stuff pork into a package which they should be attempting to complete and vote on as soon as possible for the sake of the American people and not to highlight their own political goals and pet pet projects.

Unfortunately, slipping things to appease special interest groups into bills meant to do good for the public is something which Pelosi and the rest of the Far Left Democrats have been good at doing for quite a while, now.

How do you think that all of these 501 organizations have sprung up over the last couple of decades?

Funding coming from our tax dollars through Democratic pork projects and funding through George Soros and his Open Society Foundation have built an international network of Far Left Organizations who feed at a trough of Perrier bought and paid for by American Taxpayers.

What revealed Pelosi’s game this time for all of the nation to see and condemn, was the utter urgency of the situation faced by our Sovereign Nation.

These relief measures need to be set in place as quickly as possible. This is no time for political shenanigans.

Once she got caught, Pelosi had to take a step back, as the eyes of a fearful nation were upon her. There was simply too much heat on her for her to continue in her “business as usual” mode.

Blatantly endorsing killing babies over healing Americans, given our present situation as a country, would not help her political party gain or even retain political power.

Judging from the reaction of my column from yesterday all over Facebook, the overwhelming majority of Americans were as outraged as I was over Pelosi’s Abortion Funding Attempt.

If she and her fellow Democrats want to continue to have some sort of presence in Capitol Hill, they had better work with the President to complete a bill containing the things which this suffering nation actually needs to survive.

If she doesn’t, Americans will remember in November.

Pelosi Caught Trying to Sneak Abortion Funding into Coronovirus Economic Stimulus Plan, Blames Republicans for Delaying Bill

pelosi-1-1

DailyCaller.com reports that

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sought to include a potential way to guarantee federal funding for abortion into the coronavirus economic stimulus plan, according to multiple senior White House officials.

Speaking to the Daily Caller, those officials alleged that while negotiating the stimulus with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Pelosi tried to lobby for “several” provisions that stalled bipartisan commitment to the effort. One was a mandate for up to $1 billion to reimburse laboratory claims, which White House officials say would set a precedent of health spending without protections outlined in the Hyde Amendment.

The Hyde Amendment blocks clinics that perform abortions from receiving federal funding, and Democrats have pushed the Trump administration to end it since he was elected in 2016.

“A new mandatory funding stream that does not have Hyde protections would be unprecedented,” one White House official explained. “Under the guise of protecting people, Speaker Pelosi is working to make sure taxpayer dollars are spent covering abortion — which is not only backwards, but goes against historical norms.”

A second White House official referred to the provision as a “slush fund” and yet another questioned “what the Hyde Amendment and abortion have to do with protecting Americans from coronavirus?”

Politico confirmed after this article went to press that the Hyde Amendment provision was eventually removed from the stimulus later on Thursday and will hit the House floor as a separate bill.

Despite Trump’s assurance that he would sign any stimulus bill that Congress approved, several Republicans rejected the stimulus offered by Pelosi and Mnuchin.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Thursday morning he was totally opposed to Pelosi’s plan and wanted to draft a new proposal over the next 24-48 hours.

Pelosi pushed back on that suggestion during her Thursday press conference.

“Families have needs,” she stated. “We don’t need 48 hours. We need to just make a decision to help families right now.”

“I’m not sticking around because they don’t want to agree to language,” Pelosi said of Congress’s upcoming recess week. “Right now we have to find our common ground, work together, to get this done as soon as possible.”

Pelosi’s office did not respond to a request for comment by publication time.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shows her hypocrisy as often as she does her alcoholism.

“Families have needs”, she says.

If she was that concerned about “Families”, she would not have tried so desperately to bypass the Hyde Amendment.

In other words, she would have concentrated on saving babies instead of killing them. Even in a National Health Emergency, where American citizens lives’ and livelihoods are at risk, Pelosi continues to worship at the altar of Molech, the god of the Old Testament who demanded child sacrifices.

I was going to ask where her priorities are, but that is a stupid question.

They are definitely not with the people in the Bay Area she is supposed to be represented, as evidenced by the homeless and the addicts turning San Francisco into their own personal toilet and flop house, as human feces and used needles line the streets.

What is it with the Far Left Democratic Party’s worship of death and their predilection to help themselves and special interest groups, instead of protecting average Americans, especially during such a time as this?

Did Pelosi actually believe that she was going to get by with that garbage?

I guess she did because when she got caught she acted like a petulant child, blaming the Republicans for “holding up aid”, instead of taking responsibility for her own attempts to place self-serving abortion legislation into a bill whose subject had nothing to do at all with the barbaric practice of killing human beings in the mothers’ wombs.

This Emergency Relief Legislation, which the House is supposed to be working on together, is supposed to be about taking care of the needs of average Americans during the Coronavirus Outbreak.

Instead, Speaker Pelosi decided to make it all about what was important to her and her fellow House Democrats.

Which, come to think about it, is what the entire last two years under a Democrat-controlled House of Representatives has been about anyway.

Trump Puts European Travel Ban in Place to Contain Coronovirus, “We Must Put Politics Aside, Stop the Partisanship”

AR-200319931

FoxNews.com reports that

President Trump announced Wednesday that he will be suspending all travel from Europe to the U.S. for 30 days starting Friday at midnight in an effort to quell the spread of coronavirus.

His address from the Oval Office comes hours after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global pandemic and the number of confirmed cases in the U.S. climbed to more than 1,000.

Trump said the new travel exemptions do not apply to the United Kingdom.

He reiterated that travel restrictions from China — the epicenter of the virus, which originated in Wuhan — and South Korea will remain in effect but he would be willing to consider a “possible early opening” if the situation improves.

The president also announced that he would be asking Congress to consider an “immediate payroll tax relief,” which would eliminate the 6.2 percent tax on an employee’s salary up to $137,000 if they receive a paycheck, as well as the amount matched by employers to fund Social Security, an idea that he has previously floated and was met with skepticism by Republican lawmakers.

As the financial markets continued to fluctuate, stoking fears of economic downturn, Trump also announced that he will be asking the Small Business Administration — a sector of the federal government — to provide low-interest loans to small businesses negatively impacted by the virus.

Invoking emergency authority, Trump asked Congress to authorize $50 billion toward the initiative, this in addition to the $8.3 billion of funding that has already been allocated to fighting the virus.

The president said he has also asked insurance companies to waive all copayments for coronavirus testing and treatments.

Trump said “the risk is very very low” for Americans and reiterated that the greatest threat is to elderly populations with underlying health conditions.

The President also said that it was time to think of the good of the American people and to work together.

Unfortunately, I was watching Laura Ingraham’s show later in the evening last night and she had gotten hold of a copy of a bill that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are going to try to ram through Congress which, instead of providing relief for the American people, will call for more governmental control and more power for the Democratic-led Congress.

I would say that I am shocked but not really.

Since they took over the House, the number one priority of the Far Left Democrats and their leader, Nancy Pelosi, has been their own care and well-being, not that of the American people.

The overwhelming majority of average Americans between the coasts feel the same way as I do about this, we know them for who and what they are. And, I am sure that as this morning breaks, they will begin whining loudly whenever there are cameras around about how unjust the European Travel Ban is.

In reality, it, like the China Travel Ban, is the smartest and most effective way to protect our Sovereign Nation from the Chinese Coronavirus.

Once again, Trump has cut off the head of the snake.

European leaders did not care about their own people enough to protect them in their countries, so we cannot afford to allow their complicity to allow their citizens to carry the coronavirus into our country and endanger our citizens.

If there was a democrat in the White House and the Democrats held as much power as they did during the 2008-2009 H1N1 Virus, I am certain that the coronavirus would have already taken a lot more American lives than it has and would be more widespread in our country than it is.

The President, the Vice-President, the Task Force Members, the CDC, and the rest of those who have been involved in arresting the development of the coronavirus on our shores are to all be commended.

And those who will continue to attempt to take advantage of this pandemic while using its threat for the purpose of political expediency ought to be called out for it and condemned as enemies of the American people.

Rush: MSM Reporting Coronavirus Like an Oncoming Hurricane in Order to Blame Trump…Until They Can’t

map-cases-us_json&theme=theme-cyan&host=www_cdc

From CDC.gov

Updated March 10, 2020

This page will be updated regularly at noon Mondays through Fridays. Numbers close out at 4 p.m. the day before reporting.

CDC is responding to an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. The outbreak first started in Wuhan, China, but cases have been identified in a growing number of other locations internationally, including the United States. In addition to CDC, many public health laboratories are now testing for the virus that causes COVID-19.

COVID-19: U.S. at a Glance*
Total cases: 647
Total deaths: 25
Jurisdictions reporting cases: 36 (includes District of Columbia)
* Data include both confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 reported to CDC or tested at CDC since January 21, 2020, with the exception of testing results for persons repatriated to the United States from Wuhan, China and Japan. State and local public health departments are now testing and publicly reporting their cases. In the event of a discrepancy between CDC cases and cases reported by state and local public health officials, data reported by states should be considered the most up to date.

According to the CDC, 528 of the cases which have been reported are still under investigation.

The states which have been hardest hit at New York with 142 reported cases, Washington State with 162, and California with 135.

My state of birth, Tennessee, has 5 cases reported, driving the Demcrats in my Hometown of Memphis to wrap themselves in garbage bags to go out in public and to spray their children down with Lysol and Clorox.

And, as Forrest Gump said, “That’s all I’ve got to say about that”.

The state in which I live, Mississippi, does not have any cases reported.

Conservative Talk Show Legend, Rush Limbaugh, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom (I love writing that!) made the following astute observation on yesterday’s program…

You know, watching the coverage of this and the ongoing effort to create a panic — and let’s make no mistake here that that’s exactly what is happening here — I finally came up with what I think is a good analogy. The coronavirus is like a hurricane several days away from making landfall.Take your pick of any hurricane out there in recent memory — if you want to use Katrina, any hurricane — and then remember how the media covers it. “It’s going to devastate wherever it’s headed. It’s gonna just obliterate! It’s a Cat 5. It’s going to mean total destruction.” No one knows the strength when it hits, despite their predictions. No one knows where it’s gonna hit. No one knows when.

Our forecasts have gotten better, but it’s still a gigantic crapshoot, particularly the farther out at sea the hurricane is. But the media knows that it’s gonna deliver clicks, it’s gonna deliver hits, it’s gonna deliver massive headlines, it’s gonna create massive attention by the public. It will deliver eyeballs — and they know they can blame Trump, right up until the moment they can’t. They know.

They know and they salivate over the chance to blame Trump. You’ve got an oncoming hurricane here. The outer bands have begun to strike the Continental United States. The evidence is there! They’ve got the reporters out on the beaches out on the Outer Banks, for example, of North Carolina, and they’re showing us the waves are about six inches higher than usual.

“See, it’s coming! It’s coming! There may be a flood here, a flood there. The initial reports of damage are coming in, and it all means it’s gonna be a grand disaster.” The Drive-Bys are all collected out on the beach. Their cameras are pointed westward, eastward, wherever it takes to get this hurricane, any indication of it whatsoever. The same thing was true of the impeachment hearings. The same exact thing was true of the impeachment hearings.

All we had was hearsay evidence.

We had endless speculation.

The same thing was true with the Russia-Trump collusion story. There was never any evidence, there was never a shred of evidence, and yet look at what we were told was coming. The walls were closing in on Donald Trump! We had these endless anonymous sources from the intelligence community who were telling us that it was only a matter of time before the evidence would be forthcoming.

Hearsay evidence before the impeachment hearings, endless speculation.

It was the same thing with the Mueller report.

The coronavirus is one of those moments for the Drive-By Media, and just as a hurricane is an opportunity to blame people who don’t believe in climate change — man-made climate change. Just as a hurricane is exaggerated and built up and lied about before anybody knows its true strength and nature in order to advance a political agenda (i.e., climate change), coronavirus is being used to advance the agenda that Donald Trump:

A. Doesn’t care about you; he only cares about himself.

B. Donald Trump is incompetent.

C. Donald Trump’s not taking it seriously enough.

D. You might die; it’s all gonna be Donald Trump’s fault.

E. It’s an opening for the Democrats!

It’s an opportunity for the Democrats, just like impeachment was an opportunity for the Democrats, like the Mueller hearings an opportunity for the Democrats, and a gigantic hurricane is an opportunity for the Democrats and the climate change crowd. So the coronavirus is one of these moments.

This is the pattern. This is what Drive-By Media is. This is the utter definition. You’re looking at it here. The problem for them is, they have been wrong every time during the Trump administration. They have been wrong about every dire prediction they have made, and they have made these predictions with ontological certitude.

Per usual, Rush is absolutely correct.

The problem is that in their attempt to bring down the President, the MSM is scaring a lot of average Americans half to death.

Monday, my wife, having had enough of watching me go to work last week while seriously ill, after being up all night coughing and running fever, took advantage of both of us being off for a few days to chauffeur me to the doctor’s office.

One of my longtime doctor’s nurse practitioners, a very smart and nice young lady, asked me what was going on.

Being a severe asthmatic, I already knew: asthmatic bronchitis.

So, she listened to my chest and looked at the chart to see what my temperature and blood pressure were and smiled at me and said, “You’re right.” I then had a couple of x-rays to make sure that it was not pneumonia.

Needless to say, I got a Steroid Sinus Cocktail shot and was sent home with some more prednisone and an antibiotic to knock it out.

I told her about the column I write everyday and I asked her about what effect the coronavirus was having on their office in East Memphis.

She said that a great number of their elderly patients and some not so elderly were calling in wanting Coronavirus Vaccines which have not even been developed, yet.

She also agreed with me that the flu kills more Americans on a yearly basis than the coronavirus will and that the reports of the virus were being used as a political weapon.

As my wife and I were leaving the office, I was looking at the average Americans sitting in the waiting room.

I was wondering what kind of people would use a virus as a political weapon, affecting the lives of innocent Americans, without giving them a second thought.

And then, I remembered how Lenin, Stalin, and Mao acquired power through fear.

And, I just shook my head as I got into our car and we headed to the pharmacy.
