The Republican Civil War: Bold Colors Vs. Pale Pastels

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600Three years after the now-legendary Grassroots Movement known as “The Tea Party”, the Republican Party is in a state of disarray and discontent, to put it mildly. The Republican Establishment, or Vichy Republicans, as I have dubbed them, are desperately clinging to the Washingtonian Status Quo: reaching across the aisle, and going along to get along, known non-politically as “caving in”, while pushing potential Presidential Candidates for 2016 whose platforms are so similar to those of their potential Democrat Opponents are to be virtually indistinguishable.

Oblivious of their past failures (i.e., Dole, McCain, and Romney), while pursuing their milksop Political Philosophy, the Vichy Republicans, or GOPe, as an internet friend has named them, cling to their mission to hold onto their cushy Seats of Power, by playing an old, tired political game.

Make no mistake, they will defend the Washingtonian Status Quo to their last breath, and savage anyone who threatens it, with the help of their allies from “across the aisle”, the Democrats and their minions in the Main Stream media. Look at how they have attacked Former Alaskan Governor and Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin., and now the Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

They have called them both everything but Children of God.

However, they are not the first Conservative Republican Politicians to be attacked in this manner, in this generation.  That honor belonged to the greatest United States President in our lifetime.

On March 1, 1975, the Great Communicator and Future President of the United States, Ronald Wilson Reagan, spoke the following words at the 2nd Annual CPAC Convention. He may as well have been speaking yesterday.

I don ‘t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party” — when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.

It was a feeling that there was not a sufficient difference now between the parties that kept a majority of the voters away from the polls. When have we ever advocated a closed-door policy? Who has ever been barred from participating?

Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?

Let us show that we stand for fiscal integrity and sound money and above all for an end to deficit spending, with ultimate retirement of the national debt.

Let us also include a permanent limit on the percentage of the people’s earnings government can take without their consent.

Let our banner proclaim a genuine tax reform that will begin by simplifying the income tax so that workers can compute their obligation without having to employ legal help.

And let it provide indexing — adjusting the brackets to the cost of living — so that an increase in salary merely to keep pace with inflation does not move the taxpayer into a surtax bracket. Failure to provide this means an increase in government’s share and would make the worker worse off than he was before he got the raise.

Let our banner proclaim our belief in a free market as the greatest provider for the people. Let us also call for an end to the nit-picking, the harassment and over-regulation of business and industry which restricts expansion and our ability to compete in world markets.

Let us explore ways to ward off socialism, not by increasing government’s coercive power, but by increasing participation by the people in the ownership of our industrial machine.

Our banner must recognize the responsibility of government to protect the law-abiding, holding those who commit misdeeds personally accountable.

And we must make it plain to international adventurers that our love of peace stops short of “peace at any price.”

We will maintain whatever level of strength is necessary to preserve our free way of life.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.

Timeless Advice.

Here’s some from ol’ KJ, if I may be so bold: you members of the Republican Establishment need to climb down off of your bar stools at the Congressional Country Club, and travel outside the Echo Chamber of the Beltway, where actual, average Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck, trying to provide for their families, while attempting to make a better life for their children and grandchildren.

Come on down to Mississippi and sit a spell and have some barbecue, sweet tea, and ‘nana puddin’ with us average Americans, instead of hanging out with Obama at the White House and partaking of Arugula and Wagyu Beef.

You want to know why Folks like Sarah Palin, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz are so popular with average, real-life Americans (as opposed to statistics in an anonymous poll)?

President Obama Told You to Ignore Me

obamabillofrightsI don’t know why the president wants you to ignore me. I mean, what harm can my daily posts, which I have been writing since April of 2010, do to the Leader of the Free World? After all, he has the entire Federal Government at his disposal, along with the Democrat Party and, now it seems, a majority of the Republican Party, as well. However, yesterday, he appeared on national television and said,

Because we’ve all got a lot of work to do on behalf of the American people – and that includes the hard work of regaining their trust. Our system of self-government doesn’t function without it. And now that the government is reopened, and this threat to our economy is removed, all of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists, and the bloggers, and the talking heads on radio, and the professional activists who profit from conflict, and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do – and that’s grow this economy, create good jobs, strengthen the middle class, lay the foundation for broad-based prosperity, and get our fiscal house in order for the long haul.

Why does he want you to ignore me? After all, I’m just a little nobody. Heck, I don’t even get paid to write. It’s just something I do to vent. I do it because I enjoy it. I’m just an average Christian American, living an average life, in one of the “57 states”, as the president once referred to our country.

Obama is supposedly the smartest person in any room he walks into. Just ask the Main Stream Media…they will confirm that. And, if they won’t…Obama most certainly will.

How does little ol’ me threaten the most powerful man on the face of the world?

Is he intimidated by “words, just words” from anonymous Americans? Surely he isn’t. (And, don’t call me Shirley.) He mentioned “regaining the trust” of the American people. Coming out the day after the opposition party capitulated to you against the wishes of their Conservative Base, and calling out that same base, in no uncertain terms, reminds me of an imperious, didactic visiting lecturer, who believes that he intrinsically knows more that every student in his classroom. (Oh wait. That used to be you, at the University of Chicago, didn’t it, Mr. President? Oops. My bad.)

Being petulant and arrogant will not help you “win back America’s trust”, Scooter. Especially, since you never had it in the first place.

As far as growing the economy, that is the job of American Entrepreneurs. You remember them, don’t you Mr. President? They’re the ones whom you have taxed and penalized so harshly that they moved their businesses overseas.

Socialism does not lead to prosperity, sir. It has been tried numerous times…and has failed wherever it was put in place.  Capitalism leads to prosperity. All it takes is hard work, inspiration, and perspiration.

It takes Pookie getting off the coach, and earning her own money, instead of living off of those Americans who actually go to a job everyday.

During your “I won” Speech yesterday, you also said,

Those of us who have the privilege to serve this country have an obligation to do our job as best we can. We come from different parties, but we are Americans first. And that’s why disagreement cannot mean dysfunction. It can’t degenerate into hatred. The American people’s hopes and dreams are what matters, not ours. Our obligations are to them. Our regard for them compels us all, Democrats and Republicans, to cooperate, and compromise, and act in the best interests of our nation –- one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Allow me to translate. after all, ignorant ol’ crackas like myself, living here in America’s Heartland, may have trouble understanding a brilliant Hahvahd Graduate like yourself. What I believe you were saying was…

All of you peons need to understand who is charge around here. Dissent will not be tolerated. You will bow down and obey my commands, fulfilling my desire to make America a socialist nation. If you disagree with me, I will pout. Then, I will call you out, in front of the Main Stream Media, who will then attack you like a bunch of coyotes attacking a wounded deer. Placating the 47% is what is important…for as long as we give them their “benefits”, we Democrats will keep getting re-elected. And, if you Vichy Republicans want to keep your perks and privileged status, you will shut up and go along with whatever I want. Because, whatever I want, is what is best for the country…regardless of what Americans actually want. After all…what do they know?

Now, some of you may think that I am being a bit harsh with my translation. However, when you think about the present state of America The Beautiful, the harsh reality is…I was not harsh enough. There is no doubt in my mind that our Founding Fathers would be highly upset with today’s professional politicians and the Petulant President. Jefferson, Franklin, and Madison would read Congress the Riot Act. Gen. Washington would probably bust ol’ Scooter right in the proboscis.

You see, President Obama, that last line you threw in there: “one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all”…when you say it, it reeks of unfathomable hypocrisy.

For the last 5 years, you have done your best to divide this nation, through your rhetoric espousing Class Warfare.

You have sought to limit American Christians’ daily walk with God, while glorifying the political ideology of Islam, even though their most ardent practitioners want to behead each and every American, while American Christians simply want to be allowed to speak to someone who needs to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ. 

As far as liberty and justice are concerned, you and your Administration seem to be more concerned about protecting the “rights” of illegal immigrants, the Occupy Movement and Muslim Terrorists, than the rights of American Veterans to visit the National Monuments built to honor their sacrifice on our behalf.

To repeat my original question: What harm can my daily posts, which I have been writing since April of 2010, do to the Leader of the Free World?

The Shutdown: The Blame is Obama’s. Period.

chickenlittleSo, will this be the day that Boehner or McConnell go ahead and end the Government Shutdown, capitulating to the Petulant President, completing the caving-in process and once again selling out the Conservative Base of the Republican Party?

Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen, because their failures yesterday sure weren’t from a lack of trying, as The New York Times reports…

With the federal government on the brink of a default, a House Republican effort to end the shutdown and extend the Treasury’s borrowing authority collapsed Tuesday night as a major credit agency warned that the United States was on the verge of a costly ratings downgrade.

After the failure of the House Republican leadership to find enough support for its latest proposal to end the fiscal crisis, the Senate’s Democratic and Republican leaders immediately restarted negotiations to find a bipartisan path forward. A spokesman for Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, said Mr. Reid was “optimistic that an agreement is within reach” with Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Republican leader.

With so little time left, chances rose that a resolution would not be approved by Congress and sent to President Obama before Thursday, when the government is left with only its cash on hand to pay the nation’s bills.

“It’s very, very serious,” warned Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona. “Republicans have to understand we have lost this battle, as I predicted weeks ago, that we would not b able to win because we were demanding something that was not achievable.”

A day that was supposed to bring Washington to the edge of resolving the fiscal showdown instead seemed to bring chaos and retrenching. And a bitter fight that had begun over stripping money from the president’s signature health care law had essentially descended in the House into one over whether lawmakers and their staff members would pay the full cost of their health insurance premiums, unlike most workers at American companies, and how to restrict the administration from using flexibility to extend the debt limit beyond a fixed deadline.

Even so, the House speaker, John A. Boehner, Republican of Ohio, and his leadership team failed in repeated, daylong attempts to bring their troops behind any bill that would reopen the government and extend the Treasury’s debt limit on terms significantly reduced from their original push against funding for the health care law. The House’s hard-core conservatives and some more pragmatic Republicans were nearing open revolt, and the leadership was forced twice to back away from proposals it had floated, the second time sending lawmakers home for the night to await a decision on how to proceed Wednesday.

So, as this new Soap Opera, “While Congress Turns”, proceeds, all attention has been diverted from the the individual who is actually responsible for this unholy mess, President Barack Hussein Obama (mm mmm mmmm).

His refusal to negotiate..about anything…was brought into focus yesterday by, of all people, Former CIA Director and Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta (a Clinton Loyalist).speaking at a Breakfast Meeting

“We govern either by leadership or crisis. . . . If leadership is not there, then we govern by crisis,” Panetta said at the start of the session, sponsored by The Wall Street Journal. “Clearly, this town has been governing by crisis after crisis after crisis.”

Which raised the obvious question: What does this say about the president’s leadership?

Several observations ensued. “This town has gotten a lot meaner in the last few years.” Relationships have deteriorated. Redistricting into safe seats hasn’t helped. Neither has the explosion of money in campaigns, or the elimination of earmarks. (Negotiating one Clinton budget, Panetta recalled, “I think I sold about six bridges to get there.”)

Then, to Obama. “This president — he’s extremely bright, he’s extremely able, he’s somebody who I think certainly understands the issues, asks the right questions, and I think has the right instincts about what needs to be done for the country.”

Next came the “but” — without a name but with a clear message. “You have to engage in the process. This is a town where it’s not enough to feel you have the right answers. You’ve got to roll up your sleeves and you’ve got to really engage in the process . . . that’s what governing is all about.”

The difference between “Bubba” Clinton and “Scooter” Obama is a huge one. As Panetta points out, Bubba is a people person. Scooter is not. As long as Obama has himself, he will never be alone.

Bubba is the kind of guy whom, despite the fact that he’s a Liberal Democrat and morally reprehensible,  you could sit next to, at the counter at the Waffle House, and have a pleasant conversation with.

On the other hand, in Obama’s eyes, we are all filthy Capitalistic Colonials…oppressive, brutish people, whose antiquated system of ethics and values, based on American Christianity and Patriotism, needs to be “radically changed” by social experimentation, Executive Order, and huge, government-expanding laws, which nobody wants, such as the so-far-disastrous “Affordable Care Act”, passed in the middle of the night by a Congress, controlled by mindless minions, who, to this day, have no idea what is in the huge, horrible, life-changing bill that they passed.

The schadenfreude I have been experiencing, through watching the reactions of the young and dumb, when they realize that they are actually going to have to pay money for Obamacare Coverage, is priceless.

But, I digress…

I truly believe that Obama has never liked the concept of America. As others have written, he views our Blessed Land as being “just another flawed country”.

And now, having ascended to the Presidency, the punitive measures he has taken against our veterans and other citizens, by needlessly blocking admittance to our open-air National Parks and Monuments, show his true feelings toward the very Americans that he is supposed to be serving and protecting, in no uncertain terms.

As we head toward the “Fiscal Cliff”, if you want to know who the Head Lemming is…I’ll give you a clue: His name used to be Barry Soetoro.

The Shutdown: Still…”A Time for Choosing”

reaganI really did not know what to write about today. Like the rest of you, I am getting sick and tired of the self-serving politicians, up in the Halls of Power, acting like a bunch of spoiled children choosing sides for a kickball team.

Our petulant President, while remaining in the middle of a now 13-day-long Temper Tantrum, wants everything his way, refusing to negotiate, because those eeeevil Republicans won’t bow down and kiss his Imperial Hindquarters, as the Vichy “Moderates” among them usually do.

Give them a couple of days. Paul Ryan is working on it, even now.

Anyway, my mind traveled back, as it often does, to a seminal moment in our nation’s history, which might give us guidance in a situation like this.

I found an appropriate message in the words of the greatest President in our Generation, Ronald Wilson Reagan.,delivered on a legendary night in 1964, as he was out delivering stump speeches for the Republican Presidential Campaign of Barry Goldwater. The title of the speech is “A Time For Choosing”, and The Gipper’s words ring as true today, as they ever have…

It’s time we asked ourselves if we still know the freedoms intended for us by the Founding Fathers. James Madison said, “We base all our experiments on the capacity of mankind for self government.”

This idea — that government was beholden to the people, that it had no other source of power — is still the newest, most unique idea in all the long history of man’s relation to man. This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man’s age-old dream–the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order — or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, “The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.”

The Founding Fathers knew a government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing.

Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, “What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power.” But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector.

Yet any time you and I question the schemes of the do-gooders, we’re denounced as being opposed to their humanitarian goals. It seems impossible to legitimately debate their solutions with the assumption that all of us share the desire to help the less fortunate. They tell us we’re always “against,” never “for” anything.

…Are you willing to spend time studying the issues, making yourself aware, and then conveying that information to family and friends? Will you resist the temptation to get a government handout for your community? Realize that the doctor’s fight against socialized medicine is your fight. We can’t socialize the doctors without socializing the patients. Recognize that government invasion of public power is eventually an assault upon your own business. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.

If all of this seems like a great deal of trouble, think what’s at stake. We are faced with the most evil enemy mankind has known in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. There can be no security anywhere in the free world if there is no fiscal and economic stability within the United States. Those who ask us to trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state are architects of a policy of accommodation.

They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong. There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right. Winston Churchill said that “the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits–not animals.” And he said, “There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty.”

You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.

Today, as we watch our nation’s Veterans, who sacrificed for this great nation, visit the memorials built in their honor, closed right now by the order of a Petulant  President, in the middle of a Temper Tantrum, think about the words of The Great Communicator, who also said, 

Man is not free unless government is limited.

Call your Republican Representatives and tell them, in the words Scotsman William Wallace, to “Hold that Line!” against this present-day tyranny which America is suffering under.

Remind them that our Freedom and their jobs depend on it.

Liberalism: The Political Ideology of Stupid Choices

WWIIMemorial10213illegalsmarchApproximately 21% of our American population believe that they are smarter than you. It’s true! These Soooper Geniuses call themselves “Progressives”, because the term “Liberal” has a bad connotation…and, rightfully so.

Liberals believe that, since they are “the smartest people in the room”, they know what’s best, not only for us, but for our children, as well…even if it turns them into a bunch of sniveling wimps.

The CBS New York Affiliate posted this report about a Middle School on Long Island…

…officials at Weber Middle School in Port Washington are worried that students are getting hurt during recess. Thus, they have instituted a ban on footballs, baseballs, lacrosse balls, or anything that might hurt someone on school grounds.

Tossing a football during recess has long seemed to be a rite of passage for kids in the school community.

“I think we need the soccer balls, the footballs and everything, so we can have some fun,” one student said.

But the students will have no such option anymore. They were just informed that during recess, football is out and Nerf ball is in. Hard soccer balls have been banned, along with baseballs and lacrosse balls, rough games of tag, or cartwheels unless supervised by a coach.

Students were not thrilled about the news.

“Cartwheels and tag — I think it’s ridiculous they are banning that,” one said.

“You go for recess — that’s your free time to go let loose and recharge,” another said.

“That’s all we want to do,” a third student said. “We’re in school all day sitting behind the desk learning.”

But Port Washington schools Supt. Kathleen Maloney said the change in policy is warranted due to a rash of playground injuries.

“Some of these injuries can unintentionally become very serious, so we want to make sure our children have fun, but are also protected,” Maloney said.

Without helmets and pads, children are much more susceptible to getting hurt, experts said.

Long Island Jewish Medical Center emergency room director Dr. Salvatore Pardo said he has been seeing “head injuries, bumps, scrapes; worried about concussions.”

But some parents said it is really about liability and lawsuits.

“Children’s safety is paramount, but at the same time, you have to let them live life,” said Port Washington parent Ellen Cohen.

Several districts from outside Long Island are already contacting Nassau County educators. Soon, additional schools may be jumping on the banning balls bandwagon.

The Port Washington district said the softer foam balls put students in the best situation to cut down the chance of getting injured.

It is this same kind of “we know what’s best for you” attitude that is behind the selective shutdowns of National Parks, Monuments. roadways, and even the ocean, by President Barack Hussein Obama, in a futile attempt to prove that less government is somehow painful.

As part of Obama’s selective enforcement of the Government Shutdown, it was announced yesterday that a Pro-Illegal Immigrant (Pro-Amnesty) Rally is scheduled to take place today on the National Mall, which is evidently not closed if Obama does not want it to be, Government Shutdown or not.

Organizers for the “Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform” were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

A few scattered barriers around the park have signs informing visitors that the area is closed as a result of the government shutdown.

Susana Flores, a spokesperson for the rally, confirmed for the Washington Examiner that the Park Service will allow the event to take place under the group’s rights granted by the First Amendment.

About 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J.

The event is hosted by several immigration activist groups, together with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO.

Okay, boys and girls…try to wrap your minds around this: The President of the United States will not allow American Veterans to visit the Memorials paid for with the blood of American Heroes, but, he will allow people who are in our sovereign nation illegally, to protest against our system of laws on our National Mall.

The brilliant Conservative Economist, Dr. Thomas Sowell wrote,

…Perhaps the most remarkable feature of the world envisioned by today’s liberals is that it is a world where other people just passively accept whatever “change” liberals impose. In the world of Liberal Land, you can just take for granted all the benefits of the existing society, and then simply tack on your new, wonderful ideas that will make things better.

The problem is the fact that Liberal Ideas always cost taxpayer money…and they never make things better for the average American.

As President Ronald Reagan so famously said, 

It isn’t so much that liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so many things that aren’t so.

Which explains their gross overestimation of their own intelligence.

The Syria Situation: Our Untrustworthy President

obamamyworkAs I was driving home yesterday, I was listening to “The Five”, on the Fox News Channel, Sirius XM 114.

Their resident Liberal Curmudgeon, Bob Beckel, started going off, as he has been all week, about the horrible lack of support for President Barack Hussein Obama’s plan to have a “limited engagement” against Syria’s President Assad, for allegedly killing his own citizens with chemical weapons.

What got my attention was that Beckel, obviously re-iterating the Liberal Memo of the day, that other presidents has gotten us involved in wars without Congressional approval. He, naturally, brought up Kosovo…and then, he brought up Grenada.

In October of 1983 the United States invaded the island of Grenada and overthrew the communist government in favor of a pro-Western one in a span of less than two months.

The murder of Prime Minister Maurice Bishop had triggered a breakdown in civil order that threatened the lives of American medical students who were living on the island. At the request of allied Caribbean nations, the US launched “Operation Urgent Fury,” sending the Marines to the north of the island and Army Rangers to the south.

Needless to say, our Brightest and Best kicked tail and took names taking the island by mid-December. An Interim Advisory Council was established and it governed Grenada until December 1984, when Herbert A. Blaize, the head of the New National Party, was made Prime Minister through parliamentary elections.

The United States President at the time was Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Beckel was wondering yesterday afternoon was the difference was between then and now.

There is a world of difference between Grenada and Syria.

First, Americans were in danger on the island of Grenada. The Syrians are killing each other.

Second, we tackled the “Grenada Situation” head on, sending the full force of our military assets on a mission to rescue our citizens.

Third, and most importantly, Americans, as a whole, trusted and supported President Ronald Reagan.

At this point, Obama has to wear a pork chop around his neck to get his two dogs to play with him.

Heck, even Pope Francis is calling ol’ Scooter out…

Pope Francis has written a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, host of the G-20 summit that President Obama is attending, urging world leaders to oppose a military intervention in Syria.

“To the leaders present, to each and every one, I make a heartfelt appeal for them to help find ways to overcome the conflicting positions and to lay aside the futile pursuit of a military solution,” the Pope urged. “Rather, let there be a renewed commitment to seek, with courage and determination, a peaceful solution through dialogue and negotiation of the parties, unanimously supported by the international community.”

The move is the latest in a series of efforts by the Holy See to prevent military action in the already civil-war torn region. On Sunday, the Pope declared in his Angelus teaching that Saturday Sept. 7 would be an day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria. The prayer rally will take place in St. Peter’s Square from 7 p.m. to midnight, on the vigil of the birth of Mary, the Queen of Peace. “Let us ask Mary to help us to respond to violence, to conflict and to war, with the power of dialogue, reconciliation and love,” the Pope asked people around the world. “She is our mother: may she help us to find peace; all of us are her children!”

Next Pope Francis took his views on Syria to Twitter. On Monday he tweeted, “War never again! Never again war!” and “How much suffering, how much devastation, how much pain has the use of arms carried in its wake.” On Tuesday, he tweeted “We want in our society, torn apart by divisions and conflict, that peace break out!” and “With utmost firmness I condemn the use of chemical weapons.” Today his social media message was, “With all my strength, I ask each party in the conflict not to close themselves in solely on their own interests. #prayforpeace.”

Cardinal Dolan and leaders of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops followed the Pope’s lead and wrote to every member of Congress today urging them to vote against military intervention in Syria. Yesterday the USCCB also wrote to President Obama, reminding him that the Pope and Middle Eastern Bishops “have made it clear that a military attack will be counterproductive, will exacerbate an already deadly situation, and will have unintended negative consequences.” Dolan also asked Catholics to urge their representatives in Washington to vote against a military strike.

The Vatican, which almost always stops short of taking sides in international issues, historically holds to just war theory, which requires a military defense meet a set of strict qualifications, including that “the damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain,” “all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective,” and ”the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated.”

On Tuesday night, Obama is finally going to address the nation , concerning his desire to insert us into Syria’s Civil War, on behalf of al Qaeda. Of course, he will not refer to them as al Qaeda, he will call them “REbels” and “freedom Fighters”.

And, his pleas will fall of deaf ears.

You see, after 5 years of intentionally attempting to turn American into just another socialist nation, while happily entertaining members of the Muslim Brotherhood, in the People’s House, Americans on both sides of the aisle are smelling what Obama’s Shoveling.

And, it sure doesn’t smell “like Teen Spirit”.

We are not the only ones who are telling the Lightbringer to go jump…House Members are,too.

Two new whip counts of House members by ABC News and the liberal Firedoglake web site show a majority of House members firmly or leaning against intervention. The Washington Post’s more conservative count stands at 204 “no” votes, only 13 short of the majority needed to kill the president’s request.

When it comes to a succinct overview of this whole mess and Obama’s lack of judgement, II wholeheartedly agree with the indomitable Sarah Palin, who recently wrote,

President Obama wants America involved in Syria’s civil war pitting the antagonistic Assad regime against equally antagonistic Al Qaeda affiliated rebels. But he’s not quite sure which side is doing what, what the ultimate end game is, or even whose side we should be on. Haven’t we learned? WAGs don’t work in war. 

* We didn’t intervene when over 100,000 Syrians were tragically slaughtered by various means, but we’ll now intervene to avenge the tragic deaths of over 1,000 Syrians killed by chemical weapons, though according to the White House we’re not actually planning to take out the chemical weapons because doing so would require “too much of a commitment.”

* President Obama wants to do what, exactly? Punish evil acts in the form of a telegraphed air strike on Syria to serve as a deterrent? If our invasion of Iraq wasn’t enough of a deterrent to stop evil men from using chemical weapons on their own people, why do we think this will be? 

* The world sympathizes with the plight of civilians tragically caught in the crossfire of this internal conflict. But President Obama’s advertised war plan (which has given Assad enough of a heads-up that he’s reportedly already placing human shields at targeted sites) isn’t about protecting civilians, and it’s not been explained how lobbing U.S. missiles at Syria will help Syrian civilians. Do we really think our actions help either side or stop them from hurting more civilians?

* We have no clear mission in Syria. There’s no explanation of what vital American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved anywhere without one. And where’s the legal consent of the people’s representatives? Our allies in Britain have already spoken. They just said no. The American people overwhelmingly agree, and the wisdom of the people must be heeded. 

* Our Nobel Peace Prize winning President needs to seek Congressional approval before taking us to war. It’s nonsense to argue that, “Well, Bush did it.” Bull. President Bush received support from both Congress and a coalition of our allies for “his wars,” ironically the same wars Obama says he vehemently opposed because of lack of proof of America’s vital interests being at stake. 

* Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his “red line” promise regarding chemical weapons.

As I said before, if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting “Allah Akbar” at each other, then let Allah sort it out.

Mr. President…it all boils down to a matter of trust. And, the overwhelmingly majority of Americans simply do not trust you.

The Syria Situation: Dishonoring the Memory of 9/11

As I sit down to vent my anger, images of past events flood my memory…

I remember seeing that first plane crash into the World Trade Center.

I remember the look of incredulity and panic on the faces of Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, and E.D. Hill. I remember the second plane on its approach, and the horrifying realization that this was no accident… that America was under attack. An attack, which turned out to have been planned and executed by Osama bin Laden, and a group of Saudi Arabians, members of the Muslim Terrorist Group, known as al-Qaeda.

I remember the images of Americans jumping out of windows to their certain death, rather than be consumed by the fires, raging around them. I remember the sickening thud as they hit the pavement.

I remember the images of the brave NYC Policemen and Firemen as they rushed into the World Trade Center…never to return.

I remember watcing the First Tower collapse…then, the second one. I remember a heroic Mayor Rudy Guilani, out in the middle of the devastation, doing whatever he could to get New Yorkers to safety.

I remember President George W. Bush coming on television, with a look of steely determination, as he announced that we would be avenged.

I remember him standing on that heap of rubble that used to be a part of the World Trade Center, side by side with that fireman, telling the assembled crowd, through his bullhorn, that “the world will hear from us”.

And, it did.

I remember Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Hussein Obama, telling a bunch of donors at a private meeting, that Americans were “bitterly clinging to their guns and (Christian) religion.”

I remember the new president, Barack Hussein Obama, saying that America was “no longer (just) a Christian Nation.”

I remember, on the 10th Anniversary of the worst Terrorist Attack ever perpetrated on American soil. as our flag passed in review, in front of President Barack Hussein Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, her turning to him and saying in his ear,

All this for a flag.

I remember last year, on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, the massacre of Ambassador Chris Stevens and 3 other brave Americans, at the U.S. Embassy Compound in Benghazi, Libya by, what turned out to be Muslim Terrorists.

I also remember the Obama Administration telling the world, over and over again, that it was the fault of an anti-Islamic youtube.com video, which no one had ever watched, rather than offend his new “allies”, the authors of “Arab Spring,” the Radical Islamists of the Muslim Brotherhood.

And now, 5 days away from the thirteenth Anniversary of 9/11, Obama and his lackey, Secretary of State John (I served in Vietnam, even though I’m a wuss) Kerry, want us to intervene in a Civil War, in the Middle Eastern country of Syria, because, allegedly, President Assad killed a bunch of his own citizens with a Weapon of Mass Destruction, a chemical weapon.

Obama’s original justification was the fact that in August of 2012, in a remark made off-teleprompter, he warned that the use of chemical weapons, would “cross a red line”, a recorded statement, which he now denies making.

So, like the petulant president that he is, Obama is insisting that we participate “in a limited engagement” to “punish Assad for using chemical weapons”.

However, as I have been theorizing in previous posts, I believe that there is more to this whole bloody mess…a lot more. I believe that some sort of deal was struck with the Muslim Brotherhood, and through them, their “brothers” in al Qaeda to get rid of Assad, and allow them to move into the seat of power in Syria, as they did in Libya and Egypt, with Obama and his Administration’s Approval.

What Obama did not count on, was the blow-back he would encounter from Americans of all political affiliations, race, and social status. So, in order to cover his rear, he asked Congress to vote on it, knowing, in his own deviant mid, that regardless of the outcome of the vote, he, being the President of the United States, would still have the power to go ahead with the intervention on behalf of his Muslim Brothers.

What he may not have counted on, was the camouflage, which he has worked so hard on constructing, concerning this “humanitarian intervention”, has begun to slip away.

It was revealed yesterday, that, the Syrian Rebels, which Obama and Kerry had been portraying as “Moderates,” are actually full-blown al Qaeda members, who have been executing government solders, killing Syrian Christians, and issuing promises to kill more Christians, if Obama puts them in power.

During this whole thing, Obama has been refusing to directly address the Nation. Instead, having his horse-faced lackey, Sec. of State John Kerry do it. Unfortunately for Obama, that didn’t work.

So, here were are.

Next Wednesday, the United States Congress will be voting on whether or not to assist the same Muslim Terrorist Group which produced the cold-blooded, barbaric murderers of 3,000 American Citizens, in their attempt to take over the government of Syria.

On the 13th Anniversary of 9/11, our nation’s elected leaders are going to be voting whether or not to support the Syrian takeover by al Qaeda.

If they pass the measure, they will dishonor the memory of all those Americans killed that horrible day.

And…in the midterm elections of 2014, they themselves will be the victims of the worst Political Massacre in American History.

As the late, great Bobby Darin wrote and sang,

Come and sing a simple song of freedom

Sing it like you’ve never sung before

Let it fill the air

Tell the people everywhere

We, the people here, don’t want a war

Call your Congressmen, Americans, and, tell them that their jobs depends on them voting not to intervene in Syria’s Civil War.

Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood: “Blessed Be the Ties That Bind”?

obama_somaliEgypt and the Sudan have a lot in common. They are both countries with populations comprised of Christians and Muslims. And, just like Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood is killing Christians living in the Sudan.

According to foxnews.com.

An international relief agency plans to airlift some 3,400 Christians out of Sudan, where they face increasing persecution from the Islamist government.

The Barnabas Fund has already whisked about 5,000 Christians from the embattled country, where President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has vowed to create a “a 100 percent Islamic constitution, without communism or secularism or Western [influences].” The Christians will be taken to South Sudan, a smaller nation formed in 2011 where religious freedom is better tolerated.

“We launched this as major global initiative, and have had such a tremendous response from the Christian community,” Julian Dobbs, a bishop and honorary director for the Baranbas Fund, told FoxNews.com.“The situation for Christians who have remained behind has proven to create hardships for them, especially for women and children.”

The Barnabas Fund’s airlifting project began in August 2012, but only recently has the organization secured funds for a second phase.

Sharia law is heavily enforced in Sudan, where nearly 98 percent of the population is Muslim.

“It has made it very difficult, if not impossible, for Christians to worship,” Dobbs also said. “There is also no access for food and proper safety.”

Many families were also forcibly split from their loved ones as the pressure of persecution has increased due to the growth of Islam in the region.

The relief effort will cost about $120,000, with funding coming from private donations. Many of those waiting to be air lifted out in the coming weeks have had to endure a high rain season in refugee-like tent cities in the Khartoum region.

Since the South Sudan gained independence in July 2011, Christians and churches in Sudan have faced increasing aggression. Church leaders have been threatened, arrested and abducted, and many Christian buildings and house of worship destroyed. In April 2012, a church and Bible school also in Khartoum was burned to the ground by an Islamist mob, and in June another church there was bulldozed by local authorities.

But, hey, don’t worry, fellow Christians, Obama is on the job in Sudan. Unfortunately it’s not United States President Barack Hussein Obama…it’s his half-brother, Malik.

Unfortunately, like his powerful brother, he believes that the Muslim Call to Prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth”. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.

Walid Shoebat is a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood. He  converted to Christianity in 1994 and is now a peace activist. He reports on his website, shoebat.com,  

Egyptian government and mainstream media has reported a major development regarding the role of Barack Obama’s brother (presumably, his half-brother Malik Obama) with the Muslim Brotherhood. As we have reported before, Malik is a member of the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), an arm of the Sudanese government, which is led by President Omar al-Bashir, who is himself a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

These facts would lend credibility to the following claims from Egypt. It is also important to note that August 25th is a very key date in Egypt; it is when imprisoned Muslim Brotherhood leaders go on trial there.

The former Chancellor of the Constitutional Court of Egypt and current adviser, Tahani Al-Jebali stated that the reason the United States cannot fight the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood is because the brother of U.S. President Barack Obama is the architect of the investments for the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Jebali stated she would like…

…to inform the American people that their president’s brother Obama is one of the architects of the major investments of the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood.

She added,

We will carry out the law and the Americans will not stop us. We need to open the files and begin court sessions. The Obama administration cannot stop us; they know that they supported terrorism. We will open the files so these nations are exposed, to show how they collaborated with them [the terrorists]. It is for this reason why the American administration fights us.”

Al-Wafd, another prominent Arabic source is reporting similar news. Under the title, “Obama’s Brother is Muslim Brotherhood” and on Egypt’s National Television, (Tahani Al-Jebali) stated:

There are many reasons why the United States does not take a strong stand against the Muslim Brotherhood.

One such reason, which she says is a gift to the American people, is that Obama’s brother is a major operative with the Muslim Brotherhood in that he is the conduit for funneling monies for the organization.

She also added…

Documents from the Egyptian national security must be brought into the light in order to confirm that this international organization (Muslim Brotherhood) shows exchanges with the CIA so as to reach the power center of (Egypt).

Earlier this year, Obama gave $1.5 BILLION DOLLARS of OUR Tax Money to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. He’s had them come to America, welcoming these barbarians as guests in OUR HOUSE. 

Would this be considered  “helping a brother out”?

I, like a lot of you, have tried to find an answer as to why a United States President would welcome as “friends”, the Godfather of every Muslim Terrorist Group that ever took an innocent life.

Well, Patriots…if Mr. Shoebat’s revelation is true…now we know.

Blood is more important than that silly oath you took, at least twice, isn’t it , Barry? I mean that worn-out phrase “enemies, foreign and domestic”, doesn’t apply to the Muslim Brotherhood, does it, Scooter?

He ain’t heavy. He’s your Brother.

On June 4, 2009, United States President Barack Hussein Obama gave a speech to the Muslim World titled, “A New Beginning”. In light of the revelation concerning his brother Malik, please read the following excerpt below, paying extra-special attention to the underlined parts:

There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground. As the Holy Koran tells us, “Be conscious of God and speak always the truth.” (Applause.) That is what I will try to do today — to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.

Now part of this conviction is rooted in my own experience. I’m a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and at the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.

As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam — at places like Al-Azhar — that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities — (applause) — it was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality. (Applause.)

On this Blog, we have already explored Obama’s background, steeped in his “Muslim Faith” and unflinching dhimmitude. Whalid Shoebat’s revelation, if true, is the icing on the cake…a missing piece that has been found.

Riot Like an Egyptian

Egypt2On July 15, 2009, Secretary of State HIllary Rodham Clinton, spoke before the Council on Foreign Relations, outlining the Obama Administrations Foreign Policy, which they described as “Smart Power!”

But they [the challenges that face us] are not reason to despair about the future. The same forces that compound our problems – economic interdependence, open borders, and the speedy movement of information, capital, goods, services and people – are also part of the solution. And with more states facing common challenges, we have the chance, and a profound responsibility, to exercise American leadership to solve problems in concert with others. That is the heart of America’s mission in the world today.

Now, some see the rise of other nations and our economic troubles here at home as signs that American power has waned. Others simply don’t trust us to lead; they view America as an unaccountable power, too quick to impose its will at the expense of their interests and our principles. But they are wrong.

The question is not whether our nation can or should lead, but how it will lead in the 21st century. Rigid ideologies and old formulas don’t apply. We need a new mindset about how America will use its power to safeguard our nation, expand shared prosperity, and help more people in more places live up to their God-given potential.

…And to these foes and would-be foes, let me say our focus on diplomacy and development is not an alternative to our national security arsenal. Our willingness to talk is not a sign of weakness to be exploited. We will not hesitate to defend our friends, our interests, and above all, our people vigorously and when necessary with the world’s strongest military. This is not an option we seek nor is it a threat; it is a promise to all Americans.

Building the architecture of global cooperation requires us to devise the right policies and use the right tools. I speak often of smart power because it is so central to our thinking and our decision-making. It means the intelligent use of all means at our disposal, including our ability to convene and connect. It means our economic and military strength; our capacity for entrepreneurship and innovation; and the ability and credibility of our new President and his team. It also means the application of old-fashioned common sense in policymaking. It’s a blend of principle and pragmatism.

Smart power translates into specific policy approaches in five areas. First, we intend to update and create vehicles for cooperation with our partners; second, we will pursue principled engagement with those who disagree with us; third, we will elevate development as a core pillar of American power; fourth, we will integrate civilian and military action in conflict areas; and fifth, we will leverage key sources of American power, including our economic strength and the power of our example.

Fast forward to today. The Obama Administration, through their outreach to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Godfather of Islamic Terrorist Organizations, and their backing of them in Egypt’s last Presidential Election, helped to fbring about a very unstable…and dangerous…situation in the Land of the Pharoahs.

In Egypt’s bloodiest day since the Arab Spring began, riot police Wednesday smashed two protest camps of supporters of the deposed Islamist president, touching off street violence that officials said killed nearly 300 people and forced the military-backed interim leaders to impose a state of emergency and curfew.

The crackdown drew widespread condemnation from the Muslim world and the West, including the U.S., and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohamed ElBaradei resigned as the interim vice president in protest – a blow to the new leadership’s credibility with the pro-reform movement.

“Today was a difficult day,” interim Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi said in a televised address to the nation. While he regretted the bloodshed, he offered no apologies for moving against the supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, saying they were given ample warnings to leave and he had tried foreign mediation efforts.

The leaders of Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood called it a “massacre.” Several of them were detained as police swept through the two sit-in sites, scores of other Islamists were taken into custody, and the future of the once-banned movement was uncertain.

Backed by helicopters, police fired tear gas and used armored bulldozers to plow into the barricades at the two protest camps in different sections of Cairo where the Morsi supporters had been camped since before he was ousted by the military July 3.

Army troops did not take part in the two operations, which began shortly after 7 a.m. (0500 GMT – 1 a.m. EDT), although they provided security at the locations.

The smaller camp – near Cairo University in Giza – was cleared of protesters relatively quickly, most taking refuge in the nearby Orman botanical gardens, on the campus of Cairo University and the zoo.

But it took about 12 hours for police to take control of the main sit-in site near the Rabaah al-Adawiya Mosque in Nasr City that has served as the epicenter of the pro-Morsi campaign and had drawn chanting throngs of men, women and children only days earlier.

Egyptian President Anwar Sadat was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1981. Before he died, Sadat warned Egyptians about the consequences of a takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood:

These Islamic Brotherhood groups, so we would be aware of them. The most dangerous thing about them are the ideas that they put into the minds of the kids (our youth) and also for the other parties (political) that help them to see what they preach or even those who are trying to draw near to them, need to see the extent of the criminality that is perpetrated against the up and coming generations and against Egypt.

What and how do those people think? These people talk of something called the Domineering Hegemony (Al-Hakemiyah – which basically decrees that the business) of governance is according only to the commands that Allah pronounced and refusing any of the civil legal guidelines.

(Regarding) Violence the conviction that there is such an inevitable clash with the infidel authorities and the primitive pre-Islamic (meaning pagan and evil) rest of society and to eradicate both.

Then comes the most dangerously radical part of their ideology which was planted by the Islamic Brotherhood. The Mandated requirement to pledge allegiance to the religious commander of the group (The Emir) and to uphold the rule of conditional loyalty and obedience to him under all circumstances.

Which basically means, that these people don’t require such level of loyalty to God Almighty who rightfully is worthy of such loyalty and adherence without arguing, but instead they apply that kind of following to the commander of the group (The Emir) and after that, just to remain in the realm of that notion, they forbid ascribing or even hearing any exegesis of the Koran or the Sunnah (Religious tradition of legally binding precedents based on the life and words of the Prophet Mohammed) and the total reliance on the exposition given by the commander of the group (The Emir) of the Koran’s verses and the Prophetic (Mohammed’s) words of the Hadeeth.

Now that he attained the allegiance and the obedience of the entire group this notion was instituted by Sheikh (Islamic term for Elder) Hassan El-Banna, God rest his soul, and I if you remember or know that I was a contemporary with Sheikh Hassan when we collaborated together and worked hand in hand during the bygone days of the secret resistance movement against the British (occupying force) the King (pre-revolution ruler of Egypt) and the parties (other groups), but I can’t say that I have worked against Egypt and I have God to thank for that, I only work for Egypt.

So this level of allegiance and obedience creates a robotic machine out of a human being, and so you have the commentary of the Koran to be said only by the commander of the group (The Emir), this commander/Amir person is a mere student, or the chief commanding Emir amongst other commanders could be this young graduate fresh out of college with his graduate degree at the age of 23 or 24.

And, that is what the people of Egypt have finally realized.

Which begs the question: Why is OUR President and his Administration courting and supporting Islamic Terrorists?

Obama and the Zimmerman Trial: How to Divide a Nation

obamamyworkIn yesterdays Blog, I pointed out that Barack Hussein Obama is a Community Organizer, not a United States President.

From 1985 – 1988, Obama was a Community Organizer in Chicago.  What does a Community Organizer do?  I’m glad you asked.

Per Byron York in an article found at nationalreview.com:

Community organizing is most identified with the left-wing Chicago activist Saul Alinsky (1909-72), who pretty much defined the profession. In his classic book, Rules for Radicals, Alinsky wrote that a successful organizer should be “an abrasive agent to rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; to fan latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expressions.” Once such hostilities were “whipped up to a fighting pitch,” Alinsky continued, the organizer steered his group toward confrontation, in the form of picketing, demonstrating, and general hell-raising.

Obama was hired by Jerry Kellman, a New Yorker who had gotten into organizing in the 1960s.  Kellman was trying to help laid-off factory workers on the far South Side of Chicago, in a nearly 100% black community.   He led a group, the Calumet Community Religious Conference, that had been created by several local Catholic churches in the industrial community.   Kellman was advised to hire a black organizer for a new spinoff from CCRC.  They called it the Developing Communities Project, designed to focus solely on the Chicago part of the area.

One of Obama’s projects while he was there, was to try to build an alliance of white and black churches and enlist them in the cause of social justice.  Obama had a problem, though.   He didn’t go to church himself.   And that, brothers and sisters, is how Obama, drawn to the preaching of Rev. Jeremiah Wright (and a political opportunity), joined Trinity United Church of Christ on 95th Street.

If you ask Obama’s fellow Community Organizers what his most significant accomplishments were, they’ll say two things: the expansion of a city summer-job program for South Side teenagers and the removal of asbestos from one of the area’s oldest housing projects.   Those  were his biggest victories.

In an interview with Washington Post Staff Writer, Dan Balz, on August 14, 2007, aspiring Democratic President Nominee said the following…

…I think it is fair to say that I believe I can bring the country together more effectively than she [HIllary Clinton] can. I will add, by the way, that is not entirely a problem of her making. Some of those battles in the ’90s that she went through were the result of some pretty unfair attacks on the Clintons. But that history exists, and so, yes, I believe I can bring the country together in a way she cannot do. If I didn’t believe that, I wouldn’t be running.

…Her argument is going to be that ‘I’m the experienced Washington hand,’ and my argument is going to be that we need to change the ways of Washington. That’s going to be a good choice for the American people.

…The question is, moving forward, looking towards the future, is it sufficient just to change political parties, or do we need a more fundamental change in how business is done in Washington . . .? Do we need to break out of some of the ideological battles that we fought during the ’90s that were really extensions of battles we fought since the ’60s?

You mean like Racial and Class Warfare. Mr. President?

On November 17, 2008, Senator Barack Obama in a speech titled, “A More Perfect Union”, Senator Obama said,

But I have asserted a firm conviction – a conviction rooted in my faith in God and my faith in the American people – that working together we can move beyond some of our old racial wounds, and that in fact we have no choice is we are to continue on the path of a more perfect union.

For the African-American community, that path means embracing the burdens of our past without becoming victims of our past. It means continuing to insist on a full measure of justice in every aspect of American life. But it also means binding our particular grievances – for better health care, and better schools, and better jobs – to the larger aspirations of all Americans — the white woman struggling to break the glass ceiling, the white man whose been laid off, the immigrant trying to feed his family. And it means taking full responsibility for own lives – by demanding more from our fathers, and spending more time with our children, and reading to them, and teaching them that while they may face challenges and discrimination in their own lives, they must never succumb to despair or cynicism; they must always believe that they can write their own destiny.

Ironically, this quintessentially American – and yes, conservative – notion of self-help found frequent expression in Reverend Wright’s sermons. But what my former pastor too often failed to understand is that embarking on a program of self-help also requires a belief that society can change.

The profound mistake of Reverend Wright’s sermons is not that he spoke about racism in our society. It’s that he spoke as if our society was static; as if no progress has been made; as if this country – a country that has made it possible for one of his own members to run for the highest office in the land and build a coalition of white and black; Latino and Asian, rich and poor, young and old — is still irrevocably bound to a tragic past. But what we know — what we have seen – is that America can change. That is true genius of this nation. What we have already achieved gives us hope – the audacity to hope – for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.

In the white community, the path to a more perfect union means acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination – and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past – are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds – by investing in our schools and our communities; by enforcing our civil rights laws and ensuring fairness in our criminal justice system; by providing this generation with ladders of opportunity that were unavailable for previous generations. It requires all Americans to realize that your dreams do not have to come at the expense of my dreams; that investing in the health, welfare, and education of black and brown and white children will ultimately help all of America prosper.

In the end, then, what is called for is nothing more, and nothing less, than what all the world’s great religions demand – that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Let us be our brother’s keeper, Scripture tells us. Let us be our sister’s keeper. Let us find that common stake we all have in one another, and let our politics reflect that spirit as well.

For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle – as we did in the OJ trial – or in the wake of tragedy, as we did in the aftermath of Katrina – or as fodder for the nightly news.

As you may know, President Barack Hussein Obama is an acolyte of the before-mentioned, Saul Alinsky, author  of “Rules for Radicals”. His entire presidency has been an shining example of those rules in action, including his Administration’s involvement in the death of Trayvon Martin and the Trial of George Zimmerman.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

On Friday, March 23, 2012, President Obama was quoted in the following Reuters News Article

President Barack Obama weighed into the controversial killing of a black teenager in Florida in very personal terms on Friday, comparing the boy to a son he doesn’t have and calling for American “soul searching” over how the incident occurred.

Seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin, dressed in a “hoodie” sweatshirt, was shot dead a month ago in Sanford, Florida by a 28-year-old white Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer who said he was acting in self-defense.

“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said in his first comments about the shooting, acknowledging the racial element in the case.

“Obviously, this is a tragedy,” Obama told reporters. “I can only imagine what these parents are going through. And when I think about this boy, I think about my own kids.”

The point I am trying to make is this: Instead of performing his job as the President of the United States, and being a “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, Obama, Community Organizer that he is, set out to divide out to “Divide and Conquer”, for the purpose of political gain.

Why attack George Zimmerman?

By making the attack personal, he ignited the passions of his base. 

As history shows, it is what he has always done. It is all he knows how to do.

Obama is a divider. Not a Uniter.
