America’s 250th Birthday: “A Republic, If You Can Keep It”

On September 17th, 1787 on the last day of the Constitutional Convention being held in Philadelphia, 81-year-old Benjamin Franklin, in excruciating pain from kidney stones and gout, participated in a moment like no other in American history as he and our other Founding Fathers affixed their names to our Constitution, written as a guide for the form of government which they had fought so hard to give birth to through revolution and hard work, a cause which they had pledged their fortunes and sacred honor to.

On this American holiday upon which we celebrate our independence as a Sovereign Nation, born and maintained by the sweat and blood of courageous Americans, men and women who loved this country, it’s time to reflect on where we are, how we got here, and where we’re headed.

On November 19th, 1863, on the site of the bloody Battle of Gettysburg, a tired and worn out President Abraham Lincoln gave a monumental address in which he stated that

“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.“

That word “Liberty” is an often misunderstood and complex word.

Yes, it means that as Americans, you have the individual freedom to make decisions for you and your family.

However, Liberty comes with responsibility. It comes with a responsibility to provide for your family, to love and cherish not only your family and your friends and neighbors, but also to love and cherish America, a sacred land provided for us by Our Creator.

Americans love their individual freedom. However, a lot of American citizens tend to forget the responsibilities that come with it.

After the actions Americans have witnessed by those who wish to change America into something that those who sacrificed their lives, fortune, and sacred honor to bequeath to us, it is time to reclaim the “The Shining City Upon the Hill” that they gave us.

I am not advocating reclaiming our American Heritage through violence, anarchy, and mob rule “democracy” as we’ve been witnessing the past several years by those who wish to radically change America.

I am talking about using the tools found in the wondrous document that our Founders signed that day in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention.

There are those who would block those tools in the name of regaining political power, including appointed Federal Judges, even though the American people chose as President the candidate of the other party and also gave that party the majority in both Houses of Congress.

At the same time, they have been accusing President Trump of being a dictator and a fascist.

In an example of mass insanity, they have also been claiming that he is acting like a king.

Those who have been paying for and participating in these AstroTurf protests proclaiming “No More Kings!”, have no clue as to what living under an actual totalitarian government would be like.

Our Founders did.

“As the last names were being signed, Franklin, in a personal aside to some other members, made an observation about the chair that Washington had been sitting in as he presided over the Convention. The chair had an emblem of half of a sun. Franklin noted that artists often have a hard time distinguishing between a rising and a setting sun in their artwork. “I have often and often, in the course of the session, and the vicissitudes of my hopes and fears as to its issue, looked at that behind the President, without being able to tell whether it was rising or setting: but now at length, I have the happiness to know, that it is a rising and not a setting sun.” (Courtesy nps.gov)

As Dr. Franklin was leaving the signing of our Constitution, a woman named Elizabeth Willing Powell asked him,

“Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”

Franklin replied,

“A republic, if you can keep it.”

In order for the sun to continue shining upon our Constitutional Republic for another 250 years, we have to embrace the responsibilities of Liberty in order to hold on to this Sacred Land given to us by our Creator.

Radical Change …Enemies Foreign and Domestic

This week, Iran, at least the Royal Guard and other headstrong elements of the Iranian radicals, showed that they are not willing to lay down their arms and allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

President Trump responded in kind, knocking out some control centers and stuff like that.

Being a man of peace, he is desperately trying to reach an agreement with the  Iranians. The problem he is facing is that only a minority among their leaders who remain are civilized.

Iran has always been, since the ouster of the Shah, a rogue nation. They have been a threat to every nation who stands in the way of their crazed Political Ideology, disguised as a “religion”.

Are you old enough to remember the Iranian Hostage Crisis? If not, here is a summary, courtesy of u-s-history.com:

“On November 4, 1979, an angry mob of some 300 to 500 “students” who called themselves “Imam’s Disciples,” laid siege to the American Embassy in Teheran, Iran, to capture and hold hostage 66 U.S. citizens and diplomats. Although women and African-Americans were released a short time later, 51 hostages remained imprisoned for 444 days with another individual released because of illness midway through the ordeal.

…Upon the death of the shah in July [1980] (which neutralized one demand) and the Iraqi invasion of Iran in September (necessitating weapons acquisition), Iran became more amenable to reopening negotiations for the hostages’ release.

In the late stages of the presidential race with Ronald Reagan, Carter, given those new parameters, might have been able to bargain with the Iranians, which might have clinched the election for him. The 11th-hour heroics were dubbed an “October Surprise”* by the Reagan camp — something they did not want to see happen.”

What we are witnessing now, as negotiations continue, are those elements in Iran who want to conquer the entire world, lashing out with whatever they have.

It struck me this morning that the Iranian Revolution is quite similar to what is happening right now in America concerning the schism in Democrat Party.

The so-called “Moderate” Democrat politicians are starting to lose their power and offices to young Marxists, some of whom are also Muslim.

These radicals, which is a funny thing to say since the Woke members of the Democrat Party thought that they were radical, make their predecessors look like normal people. And, that saying a lot.

As New York City falls into the abyss, and other areas of the country begin to lose congressional seats, governorships, and state and municipal elections to these young Communists, the dream of our Founding Fathers of a united, strong America, that we as a nation will celebrate one week from today, is in danger of dissipating into a new reality because the Democrat Party and their greed and lust for political power, allowed immigrants to come into this country who do not wish to assimilate into the once-great melting pot.

Like the Mad Mullahs of Iran, they want to take over.

And, I believe it will be like Malcolm X said, “by any means necessary”.

And Pelosi, Schumer, and company will only have themselves to blame.

Trump’s Busy Sunday: Strength, Peace, and Leadership

I hope that you are having a blessed Sunday morning out there. Today is supposed to be a very eventful day.

President Donald J Trump is going to be very busy.

First, he is supposed to be signing the Iranian Peace Treaty today which will bar them from ever having nuclear weapons again without United States taxpayers having to pay them a blessed penny, a Stark comparison to the bribery efforts of Obama and Biden, who paid them billions of dollars.

Next, he will be attending a mixed martial arts event at a venue built on the front lawn of the White House, an streaming event which has caused much whining and consternation from the usual acolytes of the Far Left.

It seems very hypocritical to me when they question the event as being somehow degrading to our nation’s capital and the White House in particular when they were jumping up and down and clapping and celebrating when Biden turned Easter Sunday into “Transgender Awareness Day” with a scene straight out of Sodom and Gomorrah on the White House front lawn with trannies pulling off their tops and showing their new chests, an image that the overwhelming majority of Americans did not want to see.

Finally, today after all the festivities end at the White House, President Trump will be flying to Evian, small town on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, Switzerland for the G7 Summit.

He will he will be meeting with world leaders who will discuss such topics as Technology and AI, Geopolitics, and Global Economy and Partnerships. And then, at the end of it all when they take group pictures, everyone will want to stand beside the zpresident of the United States of America, Donald J Trump.

That, my friends, is a remarkable and welcome change from his predecessor, Sleepy Joe Biden, who was viewed as a clown by world leaders because he was so demented that when International Meetings occurred, he was shaking hands with people who weren’t even there.

The Democrat Elite and their minions in the Legacy Media and the social media, have been throwing everything they could to try to bring down President Trump over the past two years and to try to get all Americans to be infected by Trump Derangement Syndrome to the mind-blowing extent that they are.

A buddy of mine messaged me the other day that RealClearPolitcs’ Poll showed that President Trump’s popularity was starting to rise again.

I believe that, despite all this hatred and propaganda being thrown at Americans, Americans aren’t buying it. As we enter this 250th birthday celebration, the overwhelming majority of Americans still love their country and look down their noses at people who don’t.

And, that’s a good thing.

America 250: Performers Choose Politics Instead of Patriotism

It is no secret that we are a country divided amongst ourselves. It has really become an absolutely pitiful situation.

As I bet you have heard by now, our Sovereign Nation is about to have a 250th Birthday Celebration.

It’s going to be a spectacular event with entertainment ranging from a mixed martial arts fight on the law of the White House to music and special speakers.

The entire country will be tuning in on their TV sets at home.

Please allow me to ask you something:

If you were a well-known performer and this Administration asked you to perform at this once in a lifetime event, would you turn them down because you don’t happen to like the person sitting in the Oval Office?

Well, I’m not a well-known singer, but I have been known to post my singing on Facebook. If I were in that position, I would not only say yes, I would say heck yeah!

Most red blooded Americans would.

In the past, performers would perform for the president at galas and banquets because they felt it was an honor to be asked.

Some of the performers, including Martina McBride, who had been asked to perform at the 250th Birthday Celebration have turned down that opportunity

The self- indulgence and runaway political hatred and animas that the Democratic Party, through their Trump Derangement Syndrome and non-stop venomous propaganda, have spread among a section of Americans like an infectious disease, blurring the lines between right and wrong and what is and is not acceptable behavior.

The Trump Administration has said that  the celebration will be fine and it will be easy to find performers who want to be a part of it.

That sounds great to me.

It’s going to be an awesome 250th Birthday Celebration of the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

Martina McBride can go join the Dixie Chicks.
