NBCNews.com reports that

Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., stepped down as the ranking Democratic member of the House Judiciary Committee on Sunday, following sexual harassment accusations. The 27-term congressman said he denied the allegations, but was stepping down because of the ongoing House Ethics Committee investigation.

“I deny these allegations, many of which were raised by documents reportedly paid for by a partisan alt-right blogger. I very much look forward to vindicating myself and my family before the House Committee on Ethics,” Conyers said in a statement.

“To be clear, I would like very much to remain as Ranking Member,” he added. “There is still much work to be done on core concerns like securing civil rights, enacting meaningful criminal justice reform, and protecting access to the ballot box.”

Appearing on “Meet The Press” earlier in the day, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi urged “due process” before making conclusions about Rep. Conyers, saying the congressman is “an icon” who has worked to protect women.

“We are strengthened by due process. Just because someone is accused — and was it one accusation? Is it two?” Pelosi asked.

“John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women – Violence Against Women Act, which the left — right-wing — is now quoting me as praising him for his work on that, and he did great work on that,” she added. “But the fact is, as John reviews his case, which he knows, which I don’t, I believe he will do the right thing.”

Conyers’ office recently confirmed issuing a settlement of $27,000 to a former staffer who says she was fired for resisting the congressman’s sexual advances. Conyers has acknowledged the payout, which he said amounted to a severance package, but he denied the allegations about what it was for.

The payout from Conyers’ office first became public in a report published by Buzzfeed on Monday, and came after a number of men in powerful positions in politics, entertainment and media have faced public accusations of sexual harassment. The accusations have opened up a national conversation about how women are treated in the workplace by men in positions of power.

When asked specifically whether she believes the accusations against Conyers, Pelosi said: “I do not know who they are. Do you? They have not really come forward.”

She repeatedly said that she wants to see the House Ethics Committee investigation of Conyers play out.

Conyers has held the powerful position on Capitol Hill as the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee for a decade, but after Pelosi’s interview on Sunday, he announced that he would step down from the position while the Ethics Committee investigates.

Pelosi said in a statement later Sunday, “Zero tolerance means consequences. I have asked for an ethics investigation, and as that investigation continues, Congressman Conyers has agreed to step aside as Ranking Member.”

On “Meet The Press,” Pelosi was also asked whether she would accept an apology from Democratic Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota, who has apologized after being accused of unwanted touching from multiple women, if no other accusers surfaced. “His accusers have to accept an apology,” Pelosi said. “The victims have some say in all of this, as well. And that has happened in the past. People have accepted an apology, as is coming forth now that I see in the press.”

The reporting process on Capitol Hill for sexual harassment claims is a very long and arduous process that can take months to play out, but Pelosi said the House is expected to soon take up new action aimed at preventing such conduct when they vote this week on a resolution that would require all lawmakers and their staff members to go through anti-harassment training. The Senate passed a similar measure earlier this month.

Pelosi’s comments Sunday also came while Democrats and many Republican leaders have called for Alabama’s GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore to exit the race, since Moore is facing sexual misconduct accusations from nine women, including one who says he molested her when she was 14 and he was 32. Moore has denied all of the allegations.

Ohio Sen. Rob Portman is one of the Republican lawmakers who has called for Moore to step aside, and on Sunday said that if he were a voter in Alabama, he’d “probably vote for a Republican, but it wouldn‘t be Roy Moore.”

“As the women went on the record, I thought there was a lot of credibility in what they were saying,” Portman said on “Meet The Press.” “I didn’t find the response very credible and that’s how I came up with my position.”

As the national conversation on sexual harassment has accelerated, the reaction to numerous allegations from the 1990s has also been revisited.

Anita Hill accused U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment when she worked for him at the Department of Education and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and later testified about it during his 1991 Senate confirmation hearing. Thomas denied the allegations.

Now a professor at Brandeis University, Hill said on “Meet The Press” that “unfortunately, 26 years ago, Washington wasn’t ready to lead on this issue, and I’m afraid even today Washington cannot lead the country on this issue. There seems to be so many conflicted feelings and understandings about what needs to happen when sexual misconduct occurs.”

Pelosi, meanwhile, also said the reaction to sexual misconduct accusations against former President Bill Clinton from that era versus today represent “obviously a generational change.”

“The concern that we had then was that they were impeaching the president of the United States, and for something that had nothing to do with the performance of his duties, and trying to take him out for that reason,” Pelosi added. “But let’s go forward. Let’s go forward. I think that something wonderful is happening now, very credible. It’s 100 years, almost 100 years, since women got the right to vote. Here we are, almost 100 years later, and something very transformative is happening.”

One lies and the other swears to it.

If anyone still has any questions as to how Billionaire Entrepreneur Donald J. Trump got elected President of the United States, here’s the answer.

The duplicitous dealings, perversions, peccadilloes, self-entitlement, and downright lying of the Political Elite…on BOTH sides of the Congressional Aisle.

In the case of the recent explosive revealing of sexual harassment and abuse by Congressmen, they have all turned out to be Democrats.

The same Democrats who have been looking down their noses at us average Americans for decades, calling us “Bitter Clingers” in front of their Big Money Donors, while chases their Congressional Pages, Interns, and Office Staff around in their BVDs,

“Icon”, my hindquarters.

The word “delusional” does not even begin to cover San Fran Nan’s illogical statement.

Nancy Pelosi’s station in life defies logic.

That has to be the most tone-deaf statement made about a Philandering Congressman since Wilber Mills (D-AR), was caught fooling around with Fanne Fox, a local DC Stripper, who, when caught drunken driving with Mills, attempted to jump attempted to jump in the Tidal Basin to elude police.

For her to completely ignore the current Democratic Congressional Sexual Abuse Scandal, as pertains Conyers detailed decades of systematic abuse, does not just “strain” credulity…it stomps that sucker flat.

There are two possibilities for Pelosi’s misjudgment of the American People:

She has been so sheltered from us “rabble” during all of those years up on Capitol Hill, that she simply is clueless to the daily lives of average Americans and how we feel on the issues of the day. Or…

She is a victim of galloping dementia.

It is probably both.

For years, the hypocrisy of sanctimonious Liberals, who considered themselves to be the “Smartest People in the Room” made them the Darlings of the Hoi Polloi, the “Captains of the Country Club Crowd” and go-to sources for the Main Stream Media, who hung of their every didactic word as they told average Americans how they should live, how they should raise their children, and how they should allow them to complete run their lives from cradle to grave.

And now, it turns out that all those years that they considered themselves to be of “Royal Blood”, their personal lives had all of the class and morality of the old Redd Foxx “Party” Albums that teenagers used to “borrow” from their parents to listen to and giggle.

It is imperative that average Americans finish what they started on November 8m 2016 in the Presidential Election when the Midterm Elections arrive in 2018.

We must DRAIN THE DC SWAMP.

The stench of Swamp Gas being produced by the Congresscritters who have over-stayed their welcome is overwhelming,

Democrats Turn on Franken. ‘Bama Republicans Support Moore. Worm Turns. Schadenfreude Ensues.

Franken-600-LI (2)

Every picture tells a story, doesn’t it?

FoxNews.com reports that

Democrats lashed out at Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., Thursday after Los Angeles TV and radio host Leeann Tweeden accused him of kissing and groping her during a USO tour in 2006, with at least two female lawmakers pledging to return campaign funds raised for them by Franken’s political action committee.

Leaders of both parties in the Senate called for an ethics investigation of Franken, a request echoed by the senator himself, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

“The allegations brought forth are extremely disturbing,” Perez said in a statement. “Sexual misconduct, harassment, and assault are never acceptable, no matter one’s party or politics. The Senate should immediately begin an ethics investigation into Senator Franken’s conduct.”

Pelosi said any “credible allegation” should be subject to an ethics probe, telling Fox News “We are at a watershed moment and now is the time for Congress to overhaul how it deals with the issue of sexual harassment.”

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., went a step further, tweeting that she had donated $30,000 in campaign contributions from Franken’s Midwest Values PAC to food banks in her home state.

McCaskill said she was “shocked and concerned” by Tweeden’s allegations against Franken, who was elected to the Senate in 2008.

“Comedy is no excuse for inappropriate conduct,” McCaskill’s statement added.

Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., announced that she planned to donate $20,000 raised by Franken’s PAC to a group working on behalf of female veterans in the state.

“This type of behavior isn’t acceptable whether it’s from a Democrat or a Republican or an independent,” Baldwin, who is up for re-election next year, told MSNBC in an interview.

Another prominent Democratic woman, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, reportedly planned to donate $12,500 in campaign funds to Protect our Defenders, a nonprofit group dedicated to combating sexual assault in the military.

“The allegations against Sen. Franken are deeply concerning,” Gillibrand posted on Twitter. “This kind of behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated anywhere in our society. There is nothing funny about it and there is no excuse for it.”

Franken’s fellow Minnesota Democrat, Amy Klobuchar, said, “This should not have happened to Leeann Tweeden. I strongly condemn this behavior, and the Senate Ethics Committee must open an investigation.”

A spokeswoman for Klobuchar, who has received at least $15,000 from Midwest Values PAC, did not immediately respond to queries from Fox News about the senator’s plans for the money.

In a series of statements, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), singled out eleven Democratic senators and called on them to return their donations from Midwest Values PAC.

“If [senator’s last name] won’t immediately denounce Franken and return his donations, it will be clear [he or she] puts partisan politics over basic decency,” each statement read.

The senators named by the NRSC were McCaskill; Baldwin; Joe Manchin of West Virginia; Jon Tester of Montana; Tim Kaine of Virginia; Joe Donnelly of Indiana, to whom the NRSC referred as “Mexico Joe”; Debbie Stabenow of Michigan; Bob Casey of Pennsylvania; Bill Nelson of Florida; Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Sherrod Brown of Ohio.

Of the eleven, only McCaskill and Baldwin had announced plans to return the money Thursday evening.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the Dems to return that money, boys and girls.

Yesterday on his radio program, Rush Limbaugh, as he is want to do, analyzed the situation which the bunch of jackasses known as the Democratic Party find themselves in.

Now, this guy has been all over the place. When the Weinstein story breaks there’s our old buddy Al making a big show of giving all the money Weinstein gave to women’s abuse centers. He has sponsored legislation that would penalize all kinds of bad activity against women. And you know what they say? A guy that gets caught doing it once doesn’t just do it once.

But here’s the problem for the Democrats. The Democrats are going to town disqualifying, trying to get rid of Roy Moore, and the Republicans have joined them in this. Everybody in Washington wants Roy Moore nowhere near that town. They are going into every weapons depot they’ve got for every weapon they’ve got against this guy. Republicans and Democrats alike.

Now, the Democrats are doing this because they want the seat in Alabama. They don’t want Roy Moore there. And they’re using this as a pretext to get rid of Trump in future impeachment proceedings, not Russia, not collusion, but this stuff. And that’s another reason why so many of these journalists who gave Bill Clinton a pass are now turning tail and basically saying, “You know, we blew it. We were too young, we didn’t know what was going on, we do now, and what Bill Clinton did was terrible and horrible.”

They’ve got to do that if they’re gonna go after Trump. Now, one of the things that you’re not seeing as they go after Bill Clinton is going after Hillary, but that’s gonna have to happen too because they’ve gotta get rid of her. They don’t want her any longer being the face of the Democrat Party. So in the midst of this, in the midst of creating this picture that this Republican is a pervert, a creep, a scumbag, human debris, here comes old reliable Al Franken with an actual photo of the abuse.

With Roy Moore we have allegations and a possibly forged high school yearbook. With Trump we have the Access Hollywood video where he’s talking to Billy Bush about things, but there is no photographic evidence. With Al Franken there is. Mitch McConnell has already said that there needs to be a serious Ethics Committee investigation into Franken. The Democrats, what are they gonna do here? They can’t defend this. Although I wouldn’t put it past them to try, given their close association, friendship with the Drive-By Media.

But it really presents a problem, because this is something you can’t ignore, because there’s a photo of it. And everything that we’ve heard now in this effort to get rid of Moore, what is it? We’ve got to believe the women. Everybody under the sun is saying the women don’t lie. The women have to be believed. Everybody’s saying it about the women involved with Roy Moore.

Here comes Leeann Tweeden. Are they gonna say, “Well, we need further investigation. We can’t just take the woman’s word for it.” Are they gonna that? They can’t do that. Well, I say they can’t do that, but these people are capable of anything.

…Al Franken has joined the call for an ethics investigation into himself. I tell you what I think they’re gonna try to do here. I think they’re gonna try to skate. I think they are gonna rely on the media dropping this and not covering this and they’re gonna try to make it as though this didn’t even happen. Mark my words.

The problem that the Democrats face in their quest to make believe that Al Franken’s “abuse problem” does not exist and never did, is the fact that is documented via photograph.

Now, a lot of honest working people tend to tune out the Cable News Channels’ “Talking Heads”, especially if they are Liberals. But, that picture of Al Franken in the act of groping an unconscious Leeann Tweeden, while grinning like a schoolboy who just found his father’s hidden stash of Playboy Magazines, speaks louder that any weasel words of the Democrat Leadership or their Propaganda Arm, the Main Stream Media.

Adding to the smile on my face as I write this post tonight is the fact that the Alabama Republican Party has told the Vichy Republicans up on Capitol Hill to take a running jump. They are standing alongside Judge Roy Moore as their Senatorial Candidate.

After what seems like an eternity of Pharasetical pontificating by the Main Stream Media and the Democrats over the hearsay evidence in the case of Judge Moore, it is a delicious bit of Schadenfreude for them to be hit between the eye by their own hypocrisy, in a scene reminiscent of the classic Three Stooges Short, “In the Sweet Pie and Pie”, where they had a gigantic pie fight break out in the middle of a high society soiree.

All of the hoi polloi were hit in the mush by a flying pie.

One can only hope that this scandal involving the unfunny Al Franken was simply the first pie of many to find its mark.

The worm is turning.

Until He Comes,
