Memphis: #BlueLivesMatter

11705359_10204866260559105_7158163699480644935_nPolice know that, every time they leave their loved ones to go on their shift, it may be the last time that they see them.

Saturday Night was the “End of Watch” for Memphis Police Officer Sean Bolton.

And now, there is a murderous coward on the loose in the Memphis Area.

Foxnews.com reports that

A suspect has been identified in the search for a gunman who shot and killed a Memphis police officer during a traffic stop, the city’s police director said Sunday night.

A warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for 29-year-old Tremaine Wilbourn, who is believed to be the shooter, Police Director Toney Armstrong said at a Sunday evening press conference.

Wilbourn is currently on supervised release for a 121 month sentence for robbery of a banking institution, Armstrong said.

Officer Sean Bolton, 33, may have interrupted an illicit drug transaction when he encountered a Mercedes-Benz illegally parked on a Memphis street Saturday night, according to Armstrong.

After Bolton illuminated the Mercedes with his spotlight, he approached the vehicle and was confronted by its passenger, who allegedly shot Bolton multiple times after a struggle, the director said.

Armstrong told reporters that 1.7 grams of marijuana was found inside the vehicle.

“He’s a coward,” Armstrong said of the suspect, Wilbourn, “you gun down a police officer for less than two grams of marijuana.”

“Last night we lost an officer and a great man, a dedicated servant and family member,” Armstrong said.

The police director said that the White House has contacted the department and is aware of the incident.

The United States Marshals Service has offered a $10,000 reward for Wilbourn’s capture.

The driver of the vehicle turned himself in to authorities Sunday morning, and has since been released without charge, Armstrong said at the press conference.

Police were initially alerted about 9:18 p.m. Saturday that an officer had been shot multiple times. Armstrong said the officer was transported in critical condition to a hospital, where he died.

In a statement Sunday morning, Memphis Police said that a civilian had used Bolton’s radio to notify police about the shooting.

Armstrong said police are using all available resources to find the shooter and that officers are grieving, adding that “this is just a reminder of how dangerous” the job is.

“Sadly to say, we’ve been here before,” he said.

Bolton is the third Memphis officer to be fatally shot in slightly more than four years. Officer Tim Warren was killed while responding to a shooting at a downtown Memphis hotel in July 2011. In December 2012, Officer Martoiya Lang was killed while serving a warrant.

Memphis Mayor A.C. Wharton Jr. said Bolton’s death “speaks volumes about the inherent danger of police work” and asked others to “pray for the family and pray for our city.”

“The men and women in blue have certain rules of engagement that they have to follow, but at any given minute in a 24-hour day they’re dealing with folks who have no rules of engagement.

As I have mentioned before, I am a lifelong residence of the Memphis area.

I am also a member of a family who have had police officers in our ranks.

This cold-blooded murder took place in the area of Memphis, known as Parkway Village, an area which, in the 70s and 80s, was a strong middle-class neighborhood.

I know. I spent my high school and college years there, from 1972-1980.

My Mother and Daddy lived there, until they passed in 1995 and 1997, respectively.

In fact, when I was in college, and living at home, I received a speeding ticket on Cottonwood at Perkins, where this heinous murder took place.

I was doing 45 mph in a 35 mph, in my 1967 Plymouth Fury III, which had a 383 4-Barrel in it.

But, I digress…

I find it interesting that the White House is involved, considering the national racial animus against Police Officers has been cheered on by the occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Every race-baiter, local & national, who have fanned the flames of racial hatred, has the blood of brave police officers, like Sean Bolton, on their hands.

The Great American Broadcaster, the late Paul Harvey, was the son of a policeman who died in the line of duty. He wrote the following tribute for one of his daily updates…

“What is a policeman?

“A policeman is a composite of what all men are, I guess, a mingling of saint and sinner, dust and deity. What that really means is that they are exceptional, they are unusual. They are not commonplace. Buried under the froth is the fact, the fact is that less than one half of one percent of policeman misfit that uniform, and that is a better average than you’d find among clergymen.

“He of all men is at once the most needed, and the most wanted, a strangely nameless creature who is sir to his face and pig or worse behind his back. He must be such a diplomat that he can settle differences between individuals so that each will think he won, but, if a policeman is neat, he’s conceited, if he’s careless he’s a bum, if he’s pleasant, he’s a flirt, if he’s not, he’s a grouch.

“He must make instant decisions that would require months for a lawyer but if he hurries he’s careless, if he’s deliberate, he’s lazy. He must be first to an accident, infallible with diagnoses. He must be able to start breathing, stop bleeding, tie splints and above all, be sure the victim goes home without a limp.

“The police officer must know every gun, draw on the run and hit where it doesn’t hurt.

“He must be able to whip two men twice his size and half his age without damaging his uniform, and without being brutal. If you hit him he’s a coward, if he hits you, he’s a bully. The policeman from a single human hair must be able to describe the crime, the weapon the criminal, and tell you where the criminal is hiding but, if he catches the criminal he’s lucky, if he doesn’t he’s a dunce.

“He runs files and writes reports until his eyes ache to build a case against some felon who will get dealt out by some shameless shamus. The policeman must be a minister, a social worker, a diplomat, a tough guy, and a gentle man. And of course, he’ll have to be a genius, because he’ll have to feed a family on a policeman’s salary.”

After Officer Bolton was murdered, Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong (who happens to be black) said,

As a community we say so often as a theme — black lives matter. And at the end of the day, we have to ask ourselves, do all lives matter?  Regardless of race, creed, color, economic status, what profession that person holds. All lives matter. And this is just a reminder of how dangerous this job is.

…One life is too many, but how do you put a value on somebody’s life? How do you say one life is more important than another. So, again, what we need more than anything right now is just your prayers again for this MPD family as well as this officer’s family.

Without respect for our legal system, and for those in authority, whose job it is to enforce our system of laws, a civilized society can quickly evolve into a scene from The Lord of the Flies, where the most barbaric will have the most power and privilege. In other words, they will rule by intimidation.

The overwhelming majority of America’s Municipal Policemen become a part of the Thin Blue Line out of a sense of service to humanity.

Lord knows they don’t do it for the money.

Patrolman Bolton was one of those selfless Civil Servants.

He died in service to humanity…you and me.

Godspeed, Office Bolton.

May God hold your Loved Ones in the hollow of His hand.

Until He Comes,

Disrespecting the Dead: The House Votes to Ban Confederate Flags…at National Cemeteries.

thUUM99QQC

CNN.com recently reported that

Washington (CNN)American public opinion on the Confederate flag remains about where it was 15 years ago, with most describing the flag as a symbol of Southern pride more than one of racism, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. And questions about how far to go to remove references to the Confederacy from public life prompt broad racial divides.

The poll shows that 57% of Americans see the flag more as a symbol of Southern pride than as a symbol of racism, about the same as in 2000 when 59% said they viewed it as a symbol of pride.

On the wall beside my computer desk, hangs my family crest, which I shipped to my Daddy (Southern Colloquialism for male parental unit) in the summer of 1978, from the York Insignia Shoppe in England.

This same family crest also hangs in the home of Jefferson Davis, distinguished Graduate of West Point Academy, and the President of the Confederate States of America.

 I am a proud Southerner.

As a Christian American, I attend church on Sunday mornings with my brothers and sisters in Christ, both black and white.

American Progressives, both Democrat and Republican, have taken advantage of the horrible church massacre in Charleston, SC, to accomplish something that they have been trying to do for years: minimize the South’s political clout and erase our uniqueness as a region, through the taking away of a symbol of our heritage, and, any traces of the historical aspects of the Confederate Side of the Civil War, as exemplified by the current mission of Memphis Mayor AC Wharton and his minions on the City Council to dig up Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife, and move their bodies and a statue of the general, which all currently “reside” in a downtown park in the Medical Center.

And now, that same cowardly, revisionist history has reared its ugly head on Capitol Hill.

As they say (instead of “Once Upon a Time”) in Southern Fairy tales,

Y’all ain’t gonna believe this s@#t…

WTOP.com reports that

The low-profile move came Tuesday evening after a brief debate on a measure funding the National Park Service, which maintains 14 national cemeteries, most of which contain graves of Civil War soldiers.

The proposal by Rep. Jared Huffman, D-Calif., added language to block the Park Service from allowing private groups to decorate the graves of southern soldiers with Confederate flags in states that commemorate Confederate Memorial Day. The cemeteries affected are the Andersonville and Vicksburg cemeteries in Georgia and Mississippi.

“The American Civil War was fought, in Abraham Lincoln’s words, to ‘save the last best hope of Earth,’” Huffman said in a debate in which he was the only speaker. “We can honor that history without celebrating the Confederate flag and all of the dreadful things that it symbolizes.”

The flag ban was adopted by a voice vote. The Park Service funding bill is scheduled for a vote on Thursday.

Pressure has mounted to ban display of the flag on state and federal property in the wake of last month’s tragic murders at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina. The accused killer, Dylann Roof, posed with the Confederate flag in online photos and reportedly has told authorities that he wanted to start a race war.

Following the lead of GOP Gov. Nikki Haley, the South Carolina Senate has voted to remove the flag from the Capitol grounds and the state House was taking up the measure Wednesday.

But House leaders have deferred action on a plan by Bennie Thompson, a black Democrat from Mississippi, to ban Confederate images such as that contained in the Mississippi flag from being displayed in the House complex. Numerous statues of Confederate figures such as Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States, are also on display in the Capitol.

A little over an hour away from where I sit, lies a very special place, where brother fought against brother, and are buried together, along with succeeding generations of family members.

The Shiloh National Cemetery at Pittsburg Landing, Tenn., is situated on the west bank of the Tennessee River, just below the landing, and on the bluff immediately overlooking it. It contains ten acres of ground, and is enclosed by a rough stone wall of the most substantial character. A convenient lodge has been erected, and a permanent keeper is stationed at the Cemetery. A flag-staff has been erected on the bluff overlooking the river, from which the Union flag is kept constantly floating. The grounds are laid off into sections and groups by avenues and walks, neatly graded and graveled.

The number of interments in this Cemetery is 3,584, of which 2,359 are at present unknown. They represent 203 regiments from thirteen different States, besides colored troops and employees. The graves are all designated by head-boards numbered to correspond with the printed Roll of Honor.

These remains have been collected with great care from their scattered graves through that wild and desolate country, and on the line of the Tennessee River from Fort Henry to the foot of the shoals; and from no less than 565 separate localities.

The most interesting feature of this Cemetery will be found in the numerous Regimental Groups, of which there are no less than twenty-nine. These were originally buried upon the battle-field by their comrades, and great care has been taken to preserve the original arrangement. Occasionally the addition of a few scattered graves has been made to the original group.

On no other battlefield through the entire South and Southwest, does there seem to have been so great care and pains taken in the burial of the dead and in providing for their future identification. In the case of some of the regiments, even after the lapse of five years and the exposure of the head-boards to the annual ravages of fire, every grave has been identified.

Several years ago, I bore witness to the annual reenactment, which is held every Memorial Day on the Civil War Battlefield of Shiloh.

Cannons are fired, guns discharge, men feign falling in battle.

All that day, “Decoration Day” was observed, as family members laid flowers on the graves of those who had been laid to rest at  Historic Shiloh Cemetery.

This yearly event is a solemn occasion, a chance to teach young Americans about the sacrifices of those who came before them.

And now, a bunch of spineless jellyfish, far removed from that historic battleground in Middle Tennessee, are attempting to take away a solemn heritage and birthright, from the very people who gave them their cushy jobs, while they genuflect to the altar of Political Correctness and the philosophy of “going along to get along”, led by their High Priest John Boehner.

Spineless, Vichy Republicans and Hive-Mind liberal Democrats.

The dead can not fight back.

This is beyond disgraceful.

Hillary Goes on the Warpath Against Voter ID. Dead Voter Bloc Applauds.

th (13)Well, the “Queen of Mean” Hillary Rodham Clinton has taken up the fight against requiring proper identification at America’s Voting Places, and, the Republicans are fighting back…finally.

Breitbart.com reports that

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) reacted to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton accusing Republicans of intentionally attempting to disenfranchise voters based on race, age and poverty level and said she insulted the people of Texas who overwhelmingly supported the law.

Perry said, “Well, I think it’s way outside the norm of ridiculous, if you want to know the truth of the matter, to call out the people of the state of Texas, that’s what she did, I just happened to be the governor that signed that legislation and support it, and the vast majority of the people of Texas support it, and what Secretary Clinton did was saying the state of Texas didn’t.”

He continued, “Why would you say that you need a photo id to get a library book or to get on an airplane? This is a state issue, and this is an issue that the people that the state of Texas overwhelmingly support. so you know, I don’t know who she is playing to, but she is not playing to the people of Texas and I don’t think she is playing to the Americans that believe that the sanctity of the vote is really important and you need to have a photo id to go and vote. And the people of Texas wanted it, and whichever state Hillary Clinton considers to be her home state, she goes home and argues there to not to have it.”

“I think we make it pretty easy in the state of Texas for people to vote. again, I don’t know what her beef is with the people of the state of Texas about voter id but I think she is on the wrong side of the issue,” he added.

In a related story…

Newsmax.com reports that

Ohio Gov. John Kasich accused Hillary Clinton of “demagoguery” Friday over a lawsuit filed against his state’s voting rules, saying she should pick on another state, such as her own, where voters have far fewer days to cast a ballot.

“If she wants to sue somebody, let them sue New York,” Kasich told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” program. “We have 27 days of voting. In New York, the only voting that occurs is on Election Day. What is she talking about?”

On Thursday in Houston, Clinton accused potential Republican presidential rivals Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Chris Christie and Rick Perry of being governors in states that have passed laws making it more difficult for Americans to vote.

She called them members of a GOP group that have cut the numbers of days set aside for early voting and have demanded voter ID laws.

Kasich’s state of Ohio, meanwhile, was named along with Walker’s Wisconsin by Democrats in a legal challenge over voting changes. While Clinton’s campaign is not officially involved in the lawsuits, one of the attorneys involved is Marc Elias, her campaign’s general counsel.

Kasich said Friday that he likes Clinton personally, as she has been kind to him, “but the idea that we are going to divide Americans and use demagoguery, I don’t like it.”

He further called the idea of coming into Ohio and saying the state is trying to suppress the vote “silliness.”

“Don’t be running around the country dividing Americans,” said Kasich. “Don’t come in and say we are trying to keep people from voting when her own state has less opportunity for voting. She is going to sue my state? That’s just silly.”

Ohio has multiple days for voting, Kasich again pointed out, adding: “In New York, where she is from, they have one day. Why don’t you take care of business at home before you run around the country using these demagogic statement that we don’t want people to vote?”

Let’s talk about “disenfranchisement”

There was a big stink about in a few years back, in my hometown of Memphis, TN.

In fact, the Black Democrat Mayor of the city got personally involved on the side of the “disenfranchised”

However, things did not go exactly the way that the Mayor planned, as the Commercial Appeal reported on October 17, 2013…

The Tennessee Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the state law requiring photo identification to vote, ruling against the City of Memphis’ efforts to overturn the law and to require election officials to accept photo IDs issued by the public library for voting purposes.Unless the city or the two Memphis residents who joined the city’s lawsuit take their challenge into federal court, the unanimous ruling ends the city’s efforts to allow the library-issued cards to qualify for voting. The Memphis Public Library created the cards at the request of Mayor A C Wharton in early 2012 because he was concerned that the state’s Voter Identification Act of 2011 would block citizens from voting for lack of driver’s licenses or other acceptable forms of photo ID required by the act.

Memphis registered voters Daphne Turner-Golden and Sullistine Bell, neither of whom had driver’s licenses at the time, attempted to vote in the August 2012 primary using their new library-issued photo ID cards but were turned away by election officials.

Before the November general election, the city and the two residents filed suit, arguing that the photo ID requirement by the state violated state constitutional protections and that the library cards were valid identification because the original 2011 law permitted photo IDs “issued by an entity of the state.” But the state attorney general’s office argued that “entity of the state” meant a state agency, not a local agency.

The trial court in Nashville rejected the city’s claims but the state Court of Appeals affirmed part of the city’s case, holding that the library cards were acceptable identification under the act, but also concluding that the photographic identification requirement was constitutional. Because early voting for the 2012 general election was under way, the Court of Appeals ordered election officials to accept cards from the Memphis Public Library. The Supreme Court granted review in November of 2012 and ordered election officials to continue to accept cards from the Memphis Public Library during the general election.

On April 23 of this year (2013), the state legislature changed the 2011 law to specifically exclude cards issued by municipal libraries.

Because of the 2013 amendments, the Supreme Court first ruled that all issues pertaining to the validity of the Memphis Public Library cards were moot. In addition, the Court ruled that the individual plaintiffs, Turner-Golden and Bell, had legal standing to challenge the law but the City of Memphis, which did not have a vote, did not.

The Court held that the version of the law in effect at the time of the 2012 primary election met constitutional standards, concluding that the legislature has the prerogative to enact laws guarding against the potential risk of voter fraud and determining that the additional requirements placed on voters were not so severe as to violate protections set out in the Tennessee Constitution.

Race has. unfortunately, always been a divisive issue, used by Democrats as a way to energize Voting Blocs.

Unfortunately, for the Democrats, in this case, their cries of “disenfranchisement” makes their leading Presidential Candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, look as if she is grasping for straws.

All of the protestations from Democrats, alleging some sort of prejudice in the requirement of proper personal identification, in order to exercise the right and privilege of voting, are simply a vehicle by which to continue the voter fraud, which they have been so famous for in the past.

I understand, that by requiring voters to have appropriate identification, authorities are “disenfranchising” the “Dead Voter Bloc”. However, that’s the whole idea of it.

If, as is the case in Tennessee, proper identification is free of charge, why are Hillary and the rest of Democrats, making such a big deal out of it?

Gosh, Hillary and her fellow Democrats aren’t advocating for Voter Fraud on purpose, are they?

Does Bill like girls in blue dresses?

The Memphis Gas Station Mob Attack: A Black Eye for the Bluff City

thXNI8AGNLAs we approach the annual Memphis Summer Celebration of Memphis in May, featuring the World-renown Barbeque Championship Cook-off and following in June, the nationally-televised St. Jude PGA Golf Tournament, my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee has been in the National News again, and not in a good way.

Memphis’ local NBC Affiliate, WMC-TV-Action News 5, reports that

Nine teenagers were arrested after a group of students from Northwest Prep Academy attacked a man last Friday at the BP gas station on Poplar Avenue as he helped a frightened woman to her car. with the attack at the BP gas station in Memphis. At least four of them are being charged as adults.

Denizell Gladney, 19, Devin Hulbert, 19, Darion Milken, 18, and Joe Brittman, 19, were arrested and charged with aggravated riot, and assault, among other charges.

Five other teenagers, who are younger than 18, are also charged with aggravated riot. In addition to aggravated riot, two of the teens are charged with vandalism and one is charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.”Just let them think about the consequences of their actions,” said the attack victim, Orrden Williams. “Maybe you need to be sitting in jail while everyone else is going to prom.”

However, Judge Gerald Skahan felt differently.

Gladney’s bond was reduced to $30,000. He has a prior criminal history that involves marijuana and aggravated robbery charges.

Milken and Brittman’s bonds were both reduced to $5,000. Neither of them have prior criminal history.

“I’m disappointed that their bonds were reduced,” said Williams.

None of their parents or guardians appeared in court.  However, defense attorney Michael Working commented on the judge’s decision.

“At 18 or 19, they are still quite impressionable,” said Working. “Who do we want them learning from? Do we wanted them learning from teachers in our school systems, or do we want them learning from other bad guys who do bad things?”

All three men were given a 6 p.m. curfew and are banned from the BP gas station.  Skahan said, however, that he’d rather see them in school than behind bars.

Working says a good percentage of the people behind bars are high school dropouts.

“So if there’s a way to avoid making people a statistic, that’s probably why the judge would do that,” Working explained.

They will be back in court on April 24, and have to report to pretrial services every day when they are released from jail per the judge’s orders.

“I think it’ll show Northwest Prep and the rest of the students that I can beat a man up in broad daylight and terrorize his family, and I can come home for $500,” Williams commented.

However, in juvenile court, a different judge said two students in his court should stay locked up.

“Some of these people are people you say made physical contact with this man, but you can’t release the children to parents,” said one of the students’ grandmother.

Two other minors were released without having to post any bond.

The grandmother says the situation is unfair, since the court will not release her 16-year-old grandson to his family.  Though he is only charged with aggravated riot, he has three other pending cases against him.  The court says his record was so bad, he had to be detained.

Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong spoke Thursday about keeping the people responsible for recent crimes behind bars.

“Certainly, we have very little influence over bonds,” Armstrong said. “It’s frustrating to us, as well as these victims.”

Williams says he wants all of the teenagers responsible for beating him up to pay for their actions.

“They were swinging over my baby,” he added. “I have no hope for them. I want them to suffer the punishment for their actions.”

Memphis police are still investigating and trying to identify the other teens involved in the attack. They believe there are approximately 50 total teenagers involved.

This “incident” has been in the National News all week. Of course, it is not the first time that a bunch of black “yutes” have acted in a barbaric manner in my hometown of Memphis, TN. There have now been several instances of these sort of attacks, beginning with the now-infamous “Flash Mob Attack” at the Kroger Grocery Story, located in the heart of East Memphis, on the busy thoroughfare of Poplar Avenue.

In that instance, a mob of kids, for no apparent reason at all, attacked a couple of innocent people, smashing a huge pumpkin over a teenage store clerk’s head, resulting in hospitalization.

There have been several instances since then, with the Memphis Mayor and the City Council deciding that the solution to these barbaric mobs behavior was to reward them by opening up Youth Basketball Centers, which will stay open until after Midnight, in order to attempt to keep the little angels off the streets of my hometown.

The only problem with Mayor AC Wharton’s ingenious plan, is the fact that it would only work if these kids were raised right to begin with, and respected authority enough to go play basketball, instead of roaming the streets like a bunch of feral cats.

As I have written in the past, the trouble which American society is now experiencing, regarding the Black Youth Subculture, begins at home.

With a history of 74% of Black Americans being born out of wedlock, the problem of Black “Yutes” growing up without strong role models has now become generational…and, a vicious cycle.

Last night, my bride and I were at a stir fry restaurant in a suburb of Memphis. As we processed in the line, filling our little metal bowls with our own personal ingredients for our stir fries, a young black woman started skipping line, like no one mattered but herself.

It was as if she was daring those of us who were following the rules to say something to her about her outrageous behavior, so that she could act aggrieved by our “racism”.

I believe that we are experiencing the results of LBJ’s “Great Society”, in which the Almighty Federal Government has eliminated both the concept of moral absolutes and individual responsibility.

These “yutes” who are acting like wild animals have been raised as such, literally abandoned by irresponsible parents to fend for themselves and to make up their own rules as they go along.

What we are witnessing, boys and girls, is a Generation of Sociopaths, with no concept of morality, ethics, or personal responsibility.

They are doing what feels good to them…and what popular culture, which has become both their “god” and their “parental authority figure” has told them is cool.

Until Memphis’ Community and Civic leaders show these young savages that they will face SEVERE consequences for their barbaric behavior, these mob attacks will continue…until one of these young people are shot dead, when they pick a victim with a Concealed Carry Permit.

And, then “the community” will have no one to blame, but themselves.

Until He Comes,

Obama Speaks to Black Caucus on Ferguson, Blames Cops, While Memphis Experiences More Youth Mob Violence

policeline9292014President Barack Hussein Obama addressed the Congressional Black Caucus this past weekend. And, of course, our National Community Organizer spoke about the Ferguson Riots, from the viewpoint that you would expect a Community Organizer to have…

The widespread mistrust of law enforcement that was exposed by the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man in Missouri exists in too many other communities and is having a corrosive effect on the nation, particularly on its children, President Obama says. He blames the feeling of wariness on persistent racial disparities in the administration of justice.

Obama said these misgivings only serve to harm communities that are most in need of effective law enforcement.

“It makes folks who are victimized by crime and need strong policing reluctant to go to the police because they may not trust them,” he said Saturday night in an address at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual awards dinner.

“And the worst part of it is it scars the hearts of our children,” Obama said, adding that it leads some youngsters to unnecessarily fear people who do not look like them and others to constantly feel under suspicion no matter what they do.

“That is not the society we want,” he said. “It’s not the society that our children deserve.”

Obama addressed the Aug. 9 shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown carefully but firmly, saying his death and the raw emotion it produced had reawakened the country to the fact that “a gulf of mistrust” exists between residents and police in too many communities.

The shooting sparked days of violent protests and racial unrest in the predominantly black St. Louis suburb of Ferguson. The police officer who shot Brown was white.

“Too many young men of color feel targeted by law enforcement – guilty of walking while black or driving while black, judged by stereotypes that fuel fear and resentment and hopelessness,” said Obama, who has spoken of enduring similar treatment as a younger man.

He said significant racial disparities remain in the enforcement of law, from drug sentencing to application of the death penalty, and that a majority of Americans think the justice system treats people of different races unequally.

Now, I realize that, in Obama’s world, it is much more politically expedient to blame those trying to uphold the law, instead of those breaking it.

But, it takes two to tango.

Take my Hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, for example…

TheBlaze.com reports that

Another teenage mob went wild Friday, WREG-TV reported, allegedly flooding streets, damaging cars and beating an elderly man:

Police said a large group of teens flooded the streets near Central High School Friday just before 10:00 p.m.

“Had I had been armed we would have had a lot of kids laying in the Bellevue street that night,” Sharon Mourning said.

Mourning said she would have done whatever she needed to protect herself.

“So we just driving and all of a sudden all of the kids ran into the middle of the street,” Mourning explained.

Mourning and her daughter Princess were driving on Bellevue Friday evening.

“It was like a whole group of kids coming from the game,” Princess Onwibiko said.

“All of a sudden just bout 20 kids are on top of my car with about 40 more kids around my car and they kicking, they stomping, they jumping, you know they hitting the windows,” Mourning said. […]

Police reported another man was attacked in his car after honking his horn at the teenagers to move out of the way.

“They had done bricked his car, stomped his car, did the same thing,” Mourning explained.

Mourning reported seeing the teenagers beat an elderly man and another teenager.

“I actually looked at the child. His face was bleeding. You know they had done beat him,” Mourning said.

Did police lay down the law?

Not exactly; WREG reported that two 17-year-old were given juvenile summons and sent home.

Mourning said law enforcement’s response was insufficient.

“Memphis is going to burn if they don’t control these children,” she said.

Memphis’ sky-high levels of violent crime helped make Tennessee the most dangerous state in America in 2012, and while the city’s schools have improved somewhat since the “dropout factory” days of 2002, Memphis students’ high school graduation rate was barely above 70 percent in 2013 — leaving a depressingly large chunk of the city’s youth with days (and nights) free for mob outings.

So, how does Memphis’ Leadership plan on combating youth violence?

By rewarding it.

Back on September 25th, Mayor A.C Wharton announced his plan to stop these mobs of “poor, impoverished” youth (carrying the latest in cell phones) from vandalizing businesses and attacking innocent people.

Promising more still to come: Thursday night Mayor A C Wharton revealed part of his battle plan to fight youth violence.

For the first time since his youth violence forum three weeks ago, Mayor Wharton told WREG community centers and youth programs may be a part of the answer.

Mayor Wharton said his plan will be ready by the end of the year, so if more money is needed, it can be worked into the budget.

In the meantime, he’s got a few ideas in the works, like keeping community centers open on the weekends.

“We are now keeping those centers open on Friday and Saturday nights for basketball and fun things,” said Wharton

Each of the four centers attracts one hundred kids, and it will cost the city $80,000 to keep them open for the rest of the year.

“If there are one hundred boys in a community center on a Friday night, at 8:30 and 9 p.m., they are not getting shot and not shooting anybody,” said Wharton. “Then maybe when the churches will see the city is keeping its community centers open, and then the churches will maybe open their gyms on Friday and Saturday nights.”

He said he got word Thursday that Memphis was accepted to ‘My Brother’s Keeper.’ It’s a federal program for boys and young men of color that offers mentoring and skills to help them succeed.

Wharton applied to the program, and has the next 120 days to create a plan of action.

Wharton said he’s also expanding the Memphis Ambassadors‘ program from 400 kids to 1,000.

Right now, 2,000 kids apply for the program.

“They are required to adopt community service programs, maintain good character, stay in school , stay out of trouble and they get a stipend,” he said.

Wharton said he is also working on creating programs that offer career guidance and character building.

He activated a Youth City Council, which was created in 2007 but never formed.

Wharton said, “by the end of this year,” he will have a concrete plan, so if more money is needed, he can work that into the budget.

Wharton said he talks to Director Toney Armstrong every day, and doesn’t think more cops need to be hired to stop youth violence.

However, he said MPD is creating their own plan like cracking down on hot spots where youth violence is happening.

“For those who for whatever reason are beyond a reach of these programs, we have stepped up enforcement,” Wharton added.

In a related story, posted by local NBC Affiliate, WMC-TV, on September 24th,

With more than a month into the school year, thousands of students have not shown up for class.

Shelby County Schools officials put the number of no shows this year at 9,052. That data comes from the board of education’s Tuesday meeting.

Educators say the report doesn’t necessarily mean that all 9,000 plus kids are truant. Some may have moved away, changed schools, or registered privately.

“In this age and era of kids having multiple options: charter Schools, ASD, municipality districts,” William White with SCS Planning and Accountability said. “It gets a little more complicated trying to get these numbers.”

Superintendent Dorsey Hopson says this is still a big problem. He says one complicating factor is the lack of a shared student data between districts.

School board members offered suggestions. They suggested moving up registration to start the process sooner or being proactive about recruiting. Others suggested working with individuals schools and principals, as well as community leaders to track down students.

“I don’t want the headline to be that the numbers don’t support truancy, because we have a truancy problem here that we need to figured it out,” Hopson said.

Hopson says right now they have no way to cross reference other school districts and figure out whether the no shows are registered at municipal schools.

Whether through truancy or miscalculations, SCS predicted a total number of students around 117,000. At a cost of about $8,000 per student, only having 108,000 could cost the district money to use in the classroom.

My beloved hometown of Memphis, Tennessee has been gutted by decades of poor financial stewardship and corrupt Black Democratic Leadership, who never saw a dollar they couldn’t spend, or a relative or friend that they couldn’t give a job with the city to.

And now, Memphis’ chickens have come home… to roost…brought about by a failed school system which turned in its charter in a successful scheme to take over the more affluent county school system, only to see the county municipalities start their own individual systems, Memphis’ black citizens murdering each other every night, and gangs of black teenagers beatomg the snot out of innocent people, simply because they’re bored, they have no parental guidance, and they know, as “juvenile offenders”, that nothing will happen to them.

There will be very little national news coverage about what happened to this lady and her child, just around the corner from historic Crump Stadium, just as the beat-down at the Kroger Parking Lot has faded from the National Scene .

President Obama will not address Memphis’ problem.

And, Outgoing (Praise the Lord) Attorney General Eric Holder is noticeably silent as well as are the Justice Brothers, Revs. Jackson and Sharpton.

For, boys and girls, the harsh reality of  an out-of-control populace of a Democratically-ran city, well on its way to becoming another Detroit, must be ignored at all costs…due to political expediencies.

Because, for these self-serving Democrat Liberal Politicians, as President Barack Hussein Obama himself has conceded, it is not about the content of the character of those who break the law, but rather, the color of their skin.

Until He Comes,
